Hey you went up y'all. I am back what part two so for part two, your love to meet your mesh dog cat watching me, those measurement that you just took. I told your hops on write down, so I went down on this little paper out the pack with the we cats anything you want to need your dumb pants in your measuring tape that we just use so just for FYI, if you're a big maker. If you don't have all sizes for don't hit, then you can't be a wig maker, because everybody has size is not the same, so you need to have literally every size. Don'T have to be making wigs the right way. So I have eight twenty over there. I have a twenty one burn it up in here I have a 22, which is most common. This is like my top seller and we excited, which is at 22, because this is like a normal set normal size here. So I have like two or three up to tools and then you're gon na have a 23, which is what I'm gon na be using because my circumference was 23. So I'm gon na put this on my wig stand: I'm adjust the camera, so you can see so I'm gon na be using my 23 and, like I said, 22 is popular, so this is another 22. It'S messed up. I normally use this when I'm tipsy, lace or bleaching the knives are plucking just saw by myself are pretty clean for the times, so I have like just 22, which is trash the 22 that as well, I have my news and stuff. So when I'm doing my installs, they are prepped and then I have another one over there in the closet that when it's like blacked out from dying hair, so anywho you're going to be you're gon na need your dumb you're dumb hand, which is you know the Size of its economy, like I said this way, will be practically for me because I'm going off my measurements, so I'm going to use the 23 Stars head and then the brain is also on GX. So the head is from GE x, off the Amazon and then a standing, I'm using as well as from GE x, honestly not to get in details with stamps. I would have like a hard time finding a good, steady line if y'all see my office. I have four students in here and I'll be fighting away every single one of them because they seem like they're, not sturdy. So if y'all got some good space, please leave them in the comments. So I can go order them because I'm having a hard time to be so, I've got to adjust the camera and we're gon na get into transferring these measurements over to the dorm head and then we're going to add the stocking cap. And then I'm going to show you how to do got lines. Okay, so stay tuned, GX, don't hate GX weeks, ting all can be found from Amazon. So I have um some tea pins right here. I stick them in the middle of the dome here. I'M gon na just take those out and then I'm gon na grab some more because you're gon na need them, though first measurement that I took was my circumference, which was a 23. So I'm going to use a 23 size head. The next measurement that I'm gon na do is the front to me. So mines was 14, so you want to put that metal on the top of the like the middle of the head, so you're gon na take that first tee, pan you're going to put it pretty much right here in the beginning. In the front, I'm gon na put another one just like hold the measuring tape. So they'll stick, I'm all the way in y'all just point it. So this is the one we're going on. Don'T go basic one. This is just holding it. So this is the beginning and then you're gon na wrap it around and, like I said, mine was 14, so you're going to put it directly in the middle and then you're gon na drop it down and pin it to the number minus 14. So I'm going to pretty much line it up by 14, but I'm gon na, like put it over in that middle, so 14 wallah. So you can take this TP not from holding a measuring tape, and you have your front here and you have your back. So after that, we're going to go to the it's ear from the front like I said, I'm not sure if I said it before measurements, I'm gon na come down here, see ah Kazooie, so my taking measurements when I'm making an enclosure units, I only use the Circumference the conference foreclosured units is all you need practically for these measures and I'll show you these are needed when you're making a funky unit. You need these measurements. We make an affront to unit me personally. I'Ve been making wigs for a long time. So I pretty much know so when I'm making my units, all I tell my customers to spin is never excuse me. It'S number one, which is the conference number two, which is front to Nate number, six, which is nape of the neck. And then I tell them to send on the ear to ear, and sometimes it's simpler, simple if they have a small head or depending on how they breathe are so I mean you can send off six, but the main ones that I really need is one to Six and four, so I'm just going to show you everything but definitely make it closer unit. You only need a circumference, that's for me. I only need the conference. I think most weird makers that I follow only use the conference. I make enclosure wig. So all these unit, I mean all these measurements that I'm showing you is mostly when making run two units so anywho back to measurements, I'm going to show you the into ear from weight the inner ear across the forehead, so you're gon na turn, your don't pin Mines, it is a 12, so you're gon na basically 12. The middle of 12, which is like the middle number between 12, is 6, so you're going to put that six pretty much in the middle on the dumb hair I'll just use that to hold it and then you're gon na put wine over here by the metal Which would be zero and then you're gon na turn on this side, mines was twelve you're going to put your other t, pin right here right here by 12, so you can drag the t pin down. I mean a measuring tape and put it in so to take this one out and while, ah you have your ear to ear or forehead, I can't not sure you got to see it, but right here and then right there, the next measurement and wants to be Ear to ear over the top of the head, so you're going to go based off the temple measurements, so mine's was 13. The middle of 13 is six-and-a-half, so we're going to put six and a half on this line. This line is very important, so you're going to put the six-and-a-half in the middle of this line is going to be at the top say. I can't really see it so six-and-a-half you're going to take it and put it to 13. It is mine. Take it put it in the 13, but, like I said you can line it up to make it even so 13 and then you're gon na come around and put it over here at the zero, so you're gon na basically line it up with the temple so That is done. You can remove that middle and, while I you don't need both, as I said before, the ear to ear from enough sight in the ear to ear to the top it's technically the same, but the front can sometimes be a little bit bigger. Now, over the ear, so when you make it a Google swimsuit, I normally go off the it to the ear. But, like I said me personally, my units do not come glue this pretty much glue. This is based on how you're going to get it installed, because you have to cut this lace around your ear, if you're not physically. Here for me to do that, it's not gon na be accurate. I don't feel comfortable cutting it and not knowing that it's gon na fit. I prefer the top then the front just because the top is a little bit shorter, so it may be more accurate when doing the guloona and just cutting that place boom. Just like that. Around the ear next measurement is gon na be temple, Mars is 15, so the equal of 15 is seven and a half, so you're going to put that seven and a half in the middle of the head, which is right here. I just hold it in the middle of the measuring tape to hold it and then you're gon na come around you're going to measure 15 because that's mine, like I said you can move the measurement tape down just a little bit and pin, and then you want To come back on this side and you're gon na pin 0, which is this middle part. So after that, you can remove that middle measuring tape. That measurement is going to be the nape of the neck. This is where the front two need comes in handy because you're going to do the nape of the neck from here so minus five, which is the equal five, is two and a half. So I'm going to just pin it right here, just to hold it in the middle and then you're going to pin it at five, which is right here. So I just pinch your hole and then I'm gon na put it back in there and then the last one is last one is zero, so I'm going to like pinch, a hole and then move the measuring tape. Em bang on so you have are all your measurements. Yes, it look crazy measurements take time, but I thought wow, I'm doing so many wigs. You don't just see the holes and once you get your customer, it's a conference. You can go based upon those holes. So this is how your dumb head should look. Now, I'm going to show you how to transfer it over until the mesh don't cap, I know me, do the V to the nape and then I do the front like this. So I will just put this on the V, for me: is the nape, so I'm going to basically take that out and you're going to drag it down and put it back in that hole that you already had in it after that you're going to take? Should you say, step you're going to take and drag the cap down to that hole which was the neap this one take that cap voila. So once you pretty much have all your measurements, you dragged it out, you can pretty much just you know, fix it and make it even some of it. Maybe just a little bit off with your spine and then um. You could just like drag them to make them even pretty much and bam. That is how you transfer your measurements over. That should slip to your mesh. Don'T cap! My cap is officially done. My measurements are over. This is the Front's of the nape. This is the nape to the neck. This is the the ear to ear over the head. This is the itchy ear on a forehead and then the circumference itself, it's 23 well before we're done. I'M gon na show you, ladies, how to do the guidelines. I don't have an extra frontal piece or closure piece on him right now, because China is going through a festival, so I don't have any extra hair, but I'm going to show you how to do the guidelines anyway, before we go so for guidelines. I pretty much take my measuring tape. It doesn't matter this number and if you have a fun to remember, a frontal is going to take up half of the cap. Oh [, __ ]. If you have a closure, the closure is going to just going to be in a front depending on the side. So I pretty much just take my measuring tape. I just poke a hole so the proper way that I shall not clients when I'm doing classes. I tell them to go off the whole number for the space of the guidelines. Guidelines do depend on how many bundles your regulate, if you're working with a frontal or a closure. So I highly recommend when doing guidelines, make sure you have your lace piece on. So you know how far to do your your spaces, so let's say I'm making a cozy Union with three bundles I'm going to go about every half inch. I mean every whole inch of the measuring tape. So if I'm working with a five by five or five or five, approximately, you know, as I made a 5x5, normally comes to like maybe like up here - I don't know if you I can see a 5x5 know me like come like to like a 12 and Then it comes around, so I'm not going to go too far. But if I'm working, what a frontal a fronts will normally come from that that ear-to-ear over the head. So if I Sonia come like right here and then they'll come over, so I'm just going to show you, ladies, how to do the dot lines in the back and then you know when you're doing yourself make sure you have your next piece on, because there will Be best accurate, so when I'm doing my classes, I normally tell my customers to go: buy the whole. The whole number so I'll leave this space, because my my name tag would be right here, but my logo tag will be on this part. So I will first start off here I'll make a line, and then I go to for make a line. Go to five. Make a line and then I go to six and make a line. I don't have my list fees, so I want to stop at seven and eight because a frontal shouldn't be this far back unless it's a 13 by six. So once you pretty much have that, I tell them to go on this side to make sure that it's you know even and then just draw the lines or whatever in the wallah. This is like the most accurate spacing using the measuring tape. I make wigs a lot, so I don't know how to eyeball it. So I don't need that I'll just show my ladies, how to do it when we're in the class we just connect, which is pretty much like this self-explanatory. Oh that's cricket and then boom. So once you have that you're going to just come down come across, you got to take this line. You got to come across, try to go as um, even as possibly y'all come across here come I hear that t-pin is in the way, so is kind of like I'm even a me messed up and then you come here and you come across. So that's pretty much harsh on my guidelines. They look bad cuz, I'm trying to do it to where I can see on the camera. So for this I want to lean it, so I can do it the right way. So I just connect Connect, connect, connect. You see how that line meets up with that T pin. That means my measurements, I pretty much accurate, so BAM and then this one it's gon na, come right there. So my next line will be this t pin and that's how you know your measurements are accurate. So, like I said, I'm not going to show you how to do the whole thing, because I don't have my legs piece, but that is pretty much how you would do your guidelines. If you want, you can always add like a little track right here, which is normally what I do after I sold my logo on the inside. I don't I mean before I saw my logo on the inside. I would just add like a extra line right here, which I can't actually add to show you. So I would add a extra track right here and then I was so discount anything. I was going out at my logo and they're now going at this one. Just so, the tracks won't be sewed onto my logo and then that's pretty much how you do guidelines you're gon na go across if you have a firm school you're, just gon na go straight across. If you have a closure once you come like to hear you're going to start to curve it to follow around that closure piece, they just gon na curve it once you get to that closure piece. But if you have a frontal you're, just gon na continue to go across until you get to that front piece and then you're having. I hope I cover everything for you, ladies and I hope that this video was very helpful and yeah. Kathy Benson: Just watched your video on measuring for a wig. I’m very new at this so bear with me. You are a great teacher and I’m sure you can help. Could you do a video on what it means when they describe a wig measurements as, Crown 9.8”, Sides 7.4”, Front 9”, Back 6”, Nape 4.3 and fringe?. I bought a Scorpio wig that fit everyone I saw just under the chin but it was on my shoulders. Also, it had weird measurements like Crown 6.25-9.25" and Fringe 3.5". After that buying experience, I have no idea where a wig is going to fall on the back of my neck or on my face. HELP

Faloni Brashear: Very helpful--thank you, Im glad I found you

Luluspice Kay: I ordered a sewing machine just becos of how inspired I am after watching your explanatory videos❤️. I have two questions, hope they get answered 1. Let's say I wanna use 2 bundles or 2 and half bundles, should the spacing be also an inch or less? 2. In the same scenario where I have lesser bundles, is it OK to sew single tracks without doubling? Pls advice, how uld handle measurements using fewer bundles. Thank you so much

Joyce K: Very helpful - thank you

Treasure Hanson: Very detailed... Thanks for sharing

Lex: Could you please do a part 3 where you sew the tracks onto the guidelines without cutting your tracks and being flat ? Would be much appreciated.

Bridgette Hunt: Thanks for the very helpful video

Amber Dee: Do you use the regular size dome cap or extra large? I've heard mixed reviews about the mesh dome cap being too small after completing the wig. and I know that the closure wig should be fitted. I have a circumference of 22'. What would you suggest?

Crystal McRae: Thanks for the video!!! So when doing the measurements, you didn’t take any extra cap out. If the head size was a 21in would we take out the extra loose mesh on the cap?

LindsayAlissa: Thank you for this video! Idk if you mentioned it but was the mesh cap an XLARGE cap or did you just use a regular sized cap?
