My last wig review - Outre ASHANI

https://m..com/watch?v=hRU3XgZu8bE

*What is the beanie used for?

*If you need a larger size you can place the beanie over top of the shelf liner and then add your duct tape last. The beanie is used for extra padding so you don't have to use a lot of tape. You can also opt to use a few more layers of the shelf liner for padding to get a larger size.

*What is the last layer of duct tape for?

*The last layer of duct tape is to make the top layer smooth. If you use hair glue or a hot glue gun to create your units the last layer of tape will also make it easier for you to pull your wig off the mannequin when you're finished.

*How should I measure my head?

*Always measure your head with the same style you wear under your wigs. If you wear braids, low ponytail or gelled down under your wigs then that's the same way you would measure your head.

* Some people need a larger size because their hair is thicker or longer so it doesn't necessarily mean that your head is big.

Same bet to talk about mannequins today and why your weights cannot fit you, you buy your wig caps, you put the wig caps on your head and then you take the wig cap and put it on your mannequin and because it fits so comfortable on your head. You'Re wondering why, when you put it on your mannequin and you make your wig when you take it off, it can't fit you the way it works sees the reason why you wake up, fits your head so comfortable when you put it on your hips, because the Wickhead stretches it's when it stretch to fit the size of your head, so once you put it on a mannequin, it's going to stretch to fit the mannequin. When you add glue to your wig caps, it takes away some of the elasticity of the cab. This is not the same size as this. It'S gon na be extremely tight. It'S going to feel like me, trying to fit into a size, one, that's just not possible all right and if I can fit into a size one you won't be able to sit Sam lets. You plan on walking around with a bottle of aspirin in your pocketbook. Nobody wants to walk around with a headache for my tiniest way all day. All right, I know I don't you can purchase something like this, this one costs $ 40 and up so this can run you between forty to sixty bucks, depending on the quality of it. I guess I could tell you guys the company of who made this one I'm gon na. Let you make your own judgement if you want to purchase from them or not all right, this was purchased from his and hers. You know that's like a reputable wig making company they sell supplies for you to make wigs. My problem with them is, first of all, you're a united states-based company. I shouldn't have to wait a month and a half to get my item and if i am going to wait a month and a half, you should learn how to communicate with your customers. I do, however, like the quality of this, but I just don't know if I will ever purchase one from them again, because they're like in really good communication skills with their customers when I purchased this on website, is that this particular one was in stock and then, After I waited for about two weeks and I tried to email them, they let me know that this had to be custom made because they didn't have any more left in stock in this particular size. I don't have a problem waiting, but I'm just want you to. Let me know what's going on: if you choose to buy from them, then you know: that's your choice. I'M not saying they're bad, but you're gon na have to wait if they don't have it in stock. You have the canvas block which I just showed you. Then you have your display mannequins. You can also build this up where you can actually make wigs, or these particular ones, but most people use them to display their wigs. And then you have your regular beauty, supply, store, foam heads that you can purchase and you could customize this for a very small fraction of the price. This is the one that I purchased. I'M gon na show you how your wig is gon na fit perfect. Every single time you can choose to use the materials that I'm going to show you or you can go out and you know do what you wish. As you can see, this is the one that I made three and a half four years ago, very durable, as you can hear that that's the same with the mannequin foam part, and then this is the part that I build up alright. So this is still in very, very good condition. It'S just that. I wanted to make one that was brand new and I also wanted to share what I used with you guys, oh that Komatsu toros. It'S the same way that I had the great duct tape. I just went over it with a black duct tape just to make it look a little less ratchet. You'Re gon na need your mannequin head. I purchased this one for my local beauty supply store for 399 duct tape. Dollar Tree, I got black, get whatever color. You want, I prefer, a duct tape over packing tape, because duct tape is more flexible and you can actually manipulate it so that it can lay flat. It won't, leave any bumps, also going to need and beanie. Alright, it doesn't matter what color it's gon na get covered up anyway. Shelf liners this was purchased also at the doll trees. This one had holes in it. I like this particular one, because it will still allow my t-pins to pass through very easily the tea pens are still able to go through pretty easily all right to keep the form, whatever form that you create Acutes their form. It'S kind of like a cross between rubber and foam. So when you press on it it flattens, but when you let go, the foam rises back up. It means that one side is not going to get flat and then the other side is going to stay up. It'S gon na keep the original form that you create. These are the measurements that you're gon na have to take. There are small holes and the styrofoam's that was created by the t-pins by laying the duct-tape down first. This is gon na hold a Styrofoam together. So when you put your T pins in it will minimize the size of the holes that's created underneath so that's the reason for the first layer of duct tape. These are cut into small strips, and I did so so they could lay flat okay, so we're gon na go through and we're gon na take these to the mannequins right. Now everything look like small patches, but we're going to go through and we're gon na layer. Duct tape over top of the shelf liner, so everything could be even and flat. This is the finished product. I'M going to stop right here. If you need a larger size, you can add your beanie to this and then add the duct tape over top of the beanie, and that will give you a larger size that the beanie is just going to be for extra padding. So you don't have to use as much tape. You can either add more of the shelf liner for padding or you can add the beanie for padding as well. But for me the project would cost 6 bucks, because the mannequin is 399 $ 4 shelf. Liners $ 1 and the duct tape is $ 1, so altogether, 6 bucks, ok, 6 bucks, verses, 42 $ 60. You pick which one would you prefer and this one is gon na last me just as long. Ladies and gentlemen, thanks for watching, please don't forget to subscribe like and share, and I will see soon.

Sharonda Holston: I followed your instructions and my mannequin and my wig came out perfect

Emily Cooper: LOVE THIS!! This is probably the most detailed and easy to follow tutorial on a DIY custom Mannequin head. I style many wigs for Comicon and I have a pretty big head and very thick hair. Cannot wait to try it out! Thank you!

ChastityJaye: Okay, so first off, this is a great video! Very helpful! But before I run off to buy supplies I wanted to ask: the first layer of tape is to block damage from T pins, the padding is to add size, and the second layer of tape is to secure the padding. My question is, how do I know how much padding to add based on my measurements? I apologize if you stated it, but I tend to need extra math help lol

Tammy B. Jones: I love your whole back drop and style.... looking spring fresh. Yaaaaz this is a great idea for the sisters who make wigs. I was wondering about that. cause I wanted to make a wig for the summer. This was so super interesting. love the tutorial... and it is neatly done.

Ginny Williams: What a great idea! I don’t know about your experience with the hole in the bottom of styro head that accommodates the table clamp, but after several uses, the bottom hole got too large and the clamp didn’t work well at all. I don’t think I can insert duct tape to the inside of the hole. Any suggestions since styrofoam disintegrates fairly quickly? Anyway, I’m glad I found you...I also binge watch lots of ladies who are creative, like you, and save me money and time. Wish I’d watch these YouTube videos years ago (no YouTube 25 years ago!) - I’ve probably spent and wasted several thousands of bucks. Keep up the great work, Juleen :) :~} Virginia Williams
