Welcome to La Veta Elsa, I'm your host pinkie and today I will be doing a video on how I style my wig from start to finish. I'M going to be showing you step by step what I do so yeah y'all looking at the finished product, but y'all should just see how this wig looked before. Okay. So if you're, beginner and you're interested in learning how I apply and stop my wigs and stay tuned, but before I begin, I would like for everyone to leave a big thumbs up down below also check out my social media links down below. Add me on snapchat Instagram on my new la vita, rosso page: go, give it a like and check out my latest video and don't forget to subscribe so that further ado, let's get into this video ever since I first started your own wig reviews. I'Ve been getting questions on like what do I do with my hair, because obviously I had a huge afro and then I wear these wigs and how is it not sitting off the top of my head and also, how do I stop my wigs, like cutting the Lace plucking using the concealer to make it look more realistic. So since I just got a new wig, I decided to break all of that down to you guys in this video. I mind you. This is how I do things there might be better ways to do it or a better way for you to do it as you go along further on your wig journey, you'll, develop your own tips and tricks to do along the way. This is just what I do, and these are just some things that you can try if you have never worn a week before or if you still are new to it, alright guys. So the very first thing that I do is I braid my hair straight back into cornrows. I do six braids, I know some people they do like four, three braids. It really depends on how thick your hair is, because some people don't even braid the hair at all and the wig still lays down. But I know if I were to do that. It would literally look as if I have an afro and a wigs and on top of it and I've tried doing less braids and they just it just doesn't work unless I six or more so um. If you have big hair, I will recommend doing that. I know some people that can braid around the circle. I can do all that on myself there, just ain't gon na happen, so the next thing I do is I put on a stocking cap. This is a beige color which works good enough. You know, and so what I do with my was hanging braids, sometimes I'll, just push them straight up and put my wig cap on, or sometimes I will arrange them like so and honestly, the only time I really do that is, if I'm wearing like a short Wig and you're going to see like the nape of my neck. I wear a nude cap for the most part, just because most of the time, I'm wearing lace, prints and you're going to see your scalp and I don't want to wear a black one, because your scalp is going to look funny. You want it to look as natural as possible, so you need to get a new cap or cap that matches your skin tone if you have a darker skin tone. Okay, so I got this week and it's from Motown twist, let's lace and it is in the style, Elle nikka and in the color f26 613 phlox honestly. It has to have been at least almost two years since I've bought a wig out of a store. I really had a edge to getting and plus it was on sale. So I was like why not. This is how it looks in the package. I'M just going to basically just cut everything out. Alright, so pretty much anyway give I will come with a next um. I'M pretty sure everyone has seen one of these before so I always say this snap, just as a way to keep them secure while they're packed away, and I try to keep the bags they come in, because this is good for storage. This is a lace front and it has about two inches of parting space. There are two combs on either side and one comb in the back and two adjustable straps. I try to go for the third or the fourth hole on either side, but first things. First, you must cut the lace and I will cut it on camera for those who don't know how to cut it and really you're, just cutting it along the hairline. That'S all I do anyways now that I've cut the lace. I want to try the wig on. First, just to see how it looks on my head, the way I apply, my wigs are simple. Just from the back to the front with me putting this wig on already, I see that I'm going to have to definitely plug the parting space. I like the curls, but they need to be picked out because it's a little bit too it looks thin, but with curly wigs you can always make them bigger. So you just have to pick that out. First, I'm just going to make sure the part is the way I want it to be okay. So now I have the part exactly where I wanted to be: I'm going to take the wig off you're, just basically going to widen up where the part is. There'S really like no rhyme or reason to where you plug your just plug to widen it apart, so I've used to find plucking so difficult until I actually like started doing it and then it's just so easy and you're going to plug straight from the root. If you notice, I really only clip from one side all right now see how much wider. That part is that it's going to look so much better on your scalp than how it was looking before. Now that you basically pluck all the hair off, you want to remove the excess hair that might still be on there. So now that I plucked a week, I'm going to go ahead and put it back on my head and you can see where that part is. But we're not done with it. I just want to see how the current, how the part looks - and it looks good so far - now we're going to pick the curls out, so the curls look better and I'm just really pulling the curls with my fingers. Call me through my fingers, nothing special, no rhyme or reason, and you might experience some shedding, but that's just to name the game. I did use the afro pick, so you might need a afro pick or some sort of sort of white to come to help. Look at how this turned out, I told you. I would look so much better once you pick it out, because y'all saw how to look before lifting lifeless, but this one is like big, bold and full of life, and I'm so in love. This color. By the way, like, Oh anyway, just know at this point secure your wig, I'm going to touch the cone in the back of my braids or whatever at the very bottom, and I'm going to adjust my wigs, I mean you can use the combs if you want To I don't really use the comb because I don't want and pull all my hair, but if you have the straps tight enough, your wig should be secure. Alright. So now that your hair is fluffed out and everything is secure and in place, now is the time for your concealer and really you can use any kind of concealer that you have I'm using la girl Pro concealer in pure beige, because this is what I use In my regular everyday makeup, so I know it matched to my skin tone and that's what you want to do is give concealer that matches your skin tone. I'M not going to use this brush because I feel like this is too wide. You want to get a thin brush. This is actually a concealer brush and you're, basically just going to fill in that part now. Do you see how much better that part looks? Oh, my goodness, the part is so long and normally I would like cut it to frame my face, but I pretty much like it, as is like, I might cut a extra like couple pieces here and there just to make it a little bit more. Even you know, but other than that I really like it looks good. As is I really really like this big, it looks so good and the part is sad, so here's the stank before and here's the beautiful actors honestly gosh this whole process could take you less than 30 minutes. I would think, like 15 minutes, to do it's so easy and quick and simple: it's not that hard. So for all of you guys have you is so difficult to pluck your part and put the concealer there and make your wig look natural. It'S so easy, and it happened right before your very eyes: no magic, no extra special, nothing. So hopefully you guys got something out of this video. I made this for all the beginners out there that one oh we're weeks, but are scared of them looking terrible or looking like really Wiggy, and I think that's pretty much anybody's worst nightmare with my worst nightmare. I really love to hear your opinion or, if you tried this, and it worked for you, let me know down in the comments. I really really like to hear so hope you guys enjoyed this video and I'll see you in my next one peace.
