Hey everyone, it's rochelle and welcome back to my channel, i'm back with another video for you guys. Look at me trying to be all consistent anywho in today's video, i'm going to show you how to achieve super easy shadow roots. I'M going for that. My roots is growing out, look! Okay! That'S the look! I'M going for this technique, i'm about to show you guys will make your life easier. If you struggle with doing roots on your wig and guys, i'm not a professional. I always tell you guys this, but i do love trying new techniques when it comes to my wigs and hopefully i can help you or teach you something. So i really hope you enjoy this video before we jump into this tutorial. I got ta show you the wig i'm working with today, and this wig is a 613 straight hair and it's a true 180 density wig. She is thick and she is full. This pre-made wig is provided by west kiss hair and i've used a lot of their hair bundles to make my own wigs in the past. Let me know if you want to see more videos of me, making wigs and coloring them just comment down below and let me know okay, so this is what the wig knots currently look like, and the hair is that yellow tone that just doesn't work for my Skin tone, you guys say i look good with every wig color. This is the one honey she needs to be toned, so we got ta tone this wig. First, i'm using shimmer lights, purple shampoo to tone i'm using warm water, and i put the purple shampoo in the water and just dip the wig in the purple shampoo a few times and voila she's, not looking super yellow anymore. I'Ve done this before so that's kind of why i sped through this. But if you want to see a more detailed video i'll pop that in the description box down below, let's move on i'm applying vaseline on my lace to protect it from getting stained. Because we are working with black hair dye today, next, i'm taking the adore semi-permanent natural black hair dye and i'm going to apply this all over the lace on the knots. Now you guys are probably wondering what the is she doing, but trust the process. Guys i'll be honest with you. I was scared. Okay, i was super scared doing this and i did not want to ruin my wig now. I cannot take credit for this method at all. I think the first person i've seen coloring the knots black on a 613 wig is arrogant hay. So i didn't actually see a video of him doing this method, but i do remember him posting a video on his ig saying he colored the knots black on 613. Wigs to give a more natural look to give that shadow root, natural look, and i thought that idea was freaking genius, so i wanted to try it out for myself now. As for how long i let this die sit on the knots for, i actually left it on for about 10 minutes, because i was scared honestly, i really was. I did not want to ruin this week at all, but i think i probably could have left it on just a little bit longer, so i washed it off off camera and i also deep conditioned the way because she was feeling a bit dry after toning. The hair with the purple shampoo that tends to happen to 613 hair when you have the hair sitting in purple shampoo for too long, the hair can tend to be a little bit dry. So you want to go ahead and deep condition that hair okay. So i'm super impressed with how this turned out - i'm not mad at it at all. It'S not perfect, but it's pretty good for my first try. I think next time i'll try using permanent hair dye instead of the semi-permanent dye. Now i'm going to move on to styling this wig and i apply the iron hair stream to add some moisture to this wig so guys i ordered some hair, rollers and um. I was not expecting them to be this big. I guess i should have read the description but anyways. This is not the look i was going for, but i was too lazy to return them and i'm just going to use them. So i'm going in with my curling iron. I also use some hairspray and i roll the hair up and i'm gon na. Let this sit for a while, and i think i let it sit for about a couple hours and i took it out and the curl was giving me exactly what it was given. Nothing so, let's move on to applying this wig. I already have my wig cap on and i'm gon na do the ball cap method. I want this wig application to look seamless and flawless. I'M applying bold hole liquid gold on the wig cap to keep it secure. I have a very detailed video on my ball cap method, i'll link it in the description box down below you can also do the pantyhose method. This wig is transparent lace and it's not hd with hd lace. Sometimes you can see the wig cap, but with the pantyhose method the cap is so thin. It works super super good, especially if you want that scalp like look, but i don't really care for that today. Next, i'm going to go in with my liquid foundation and apply it on my wig cap to hide my hair, because you can clearly see my hair under this wig cap. So i'm just going to cover that hair up and i'm also applying the foundation to the lace, and this will help the lace to match my skin tone and have it melt into my skin perfectly. I also apply the foundation all over my knots because it'll give the knots more of a natural look, and it doesn't look so much like hair plugs because we're not going for that. Look. Okay! Let me pop this back onto my head and see what we're really working with here and honey. I cannot get over how good the shadow roots look on this wig with this method. I know it's not perfect, but honestly i've done shadows before and i've destroyed wigs before and i'm very happy with how it turned out. I think next time i do it like, i said i'll, probably try the permanent dye and maybe leave it in for a little bit longer. But honestly, i'm really happy with it. I'M happy with it. Now we're gon na move on to gluing down this wig. I'M just applying the glue all over my forehead area and then i'm gon na go in with a rat tail comb and just spread that glue up spread it out, like it's butter, make sure the glue is super dry. Before you add another layer of glue, i'm going to use two layers of glue today and the glue that i'm using it's my own. It'S just a sample, so i'm just testing it out for you guys before i start selling them, but yeah i'm gon na go ahead and pull that lace down and by the way you guys, i actually went ahead and i tweezed the hairline up a bit. I haven't tweezed it off fully, but i did a lot of tweezing off camera before i apply the wig. So just keep in mind when you get the wig. This is not how the hairline's gon na be looking you're gon na have to put in some work to make it look, you know somewhat natural. So again, i just add a bit more glue and i'm not gon na go super detail with the glue and how i apply the way, because i have a lot of videos on applying wigs and if you are new to wig application. I will link one of those videos in the description bar down below, so i'm going to go ahead and cut away all that extra lace that we don't need again for transparent lace. I will say the lace is pretty good: some transparent lace, honey, lord! It is hard to get them to look nice and melted, but this one looked pretty good. Is it just me, but when i'm applying my wig, i seriously be serving serious face. I'D be looking at the video while i'm editing and i'm like. Why do i look so serious like it's not that serious anyways that was random so again, i'm just gon na add some lace glue to the side melt it down. The lace is looking really really nice and i'm gon na go in with my got to be free spray, because this is transparent lace and i just like the way transparent lace melt with got to be free spray, like i love using melting products for my wigs When it comes to the hd, but i just love how it looks with the transparent lace, i'm going to go ahead and i'm going to do the same thing on the other side as well. As you guys already know, i like to glue my weight down in sections okay. Now, as for the back of the wig, someone asked me: what do we do with the back of the wigs there's a comb in the back, and you put the comb under your hair, so it doesn't flap around and it can also secure with some bobby pins. I always take the combs off the sides, because i don't need them. I just use the one on the back. That'S it now, i'm gon na move on to cutting down some baby hairs. Again this is transparent lace, it's not hd, so we got ta. Do something to hide what lace you know is visible and you guys know i don't really do a lot of baby hairs and also with blonde hair. I don't really like a lot of baby hairs. I don't really like how it looks so i'm just gon na make it small, very natural, looking as natural as i can get it to look. I'M gon na go in with my baby flat iron and it's from connie. I got it at walmart and i'm just gon na flip the baby hairs upwards. It makes it a lot easier for me to lay them down without using a whole lot of products in my hair next i'll be going in with my edge brush to create the little swoops and yeah. That'S pretty much it for the baby hairs. Now i'm going to go in with my hair mousse to melt down this wig, so i apply a little bit of that hair. Most on the back of my hand, dip my brush into it, and then i only apply it by the hairline and then once i apply to the hairline, i'm going to go ahead and before i tie my hair down, i do have to flatten this wig because She is sitting on the top of my head. Like a house, we don't want dots, that's not the look we're going for seriously, though, are you guys seeing the roots it's giving shadow roots, i'm here for it? Okay, so i'm gon na go in with some foundation powder and make the part look a little bit more realistic, just to kind of hide the knots a bit, because i don't really want to see the dark knot. So i go in with the foundation and i just apply it in the areas that i know apart. My hair i like to either wear a middle part or a side part. So that's the areas i'm gon na apply it in oh yeah. I also forgot to mention i did my makeup off. Camera came back with a full bead and guys when i was doing my makeup, i had the hair tied down so at the front of the hair. I tied it down to melt it after i put the hair mousse. You guys know what i do. I forgot to show that step, but yeah. This is pretty much how the hair is looking, i'm living for it, i'm very happy with how this turned out and i'm definitely going to try this technique again. I also added some layers in the front just because i wanted the front to be a little bit shorter and i went in with my curling iron to curl it up a bit more. I didn't want very tight curls. I wanted it to be kind of loose and very flowy, so yeah. This is pretty much the final look. I really hope you guys learned something from this video and if you try this technique out, please let me know. I would definitely like to hear what you guys think of this, but yeah i'll see you guys in another video very very soon. I love you guys so much and thank you for watching and supporting my channel bye.
