Hello: everyone what's good, what's poppin, it's your girl! Caroline welcome! Welcome back to my channel in today's video. As you can see, i'm going to be installing someone else's hair, i'm doing my friend's hair. For the first time, i've always installed my wig. That'S a lie. I'Ve installed other people's hair, but i don't really like installing people's hair best, probably because i just don't have a lot of experience doing that. So i just wanted to practice someone's hair, i say hair like ten times, but the hair i'm gon na be installing is from a wiggins hair company. This is their loose deep unit. This is, i believe, a 250 density, so she is a very thick and she's. Very long, but as always, the full description of the hair will be down in the description box, along with the links of everything, so you can purchase it yourself if you'd like to, but let's get right into today's video so for the prep work first thing i Had to do was bleach the knots on the unit because, as y'all can see in the intro clips, the knots were definitely not bleached, so i'm just going in with some clairol bw powder standard and i'm using um for the first time actually 20 volume developer. I just always say you can only use 30 or 40, but i realized 20 works just as well and probably even better. So i'm just going in my 20 volume developer and i'm just mixing that until it's nice and creamy, not too watery. But at the same time, not too thick here, i tried using a spatula to um, rub this into the lace, but i realized honestly it's better to just use my regular hair mixing brush. So once i did that i went ahead and used a full paper to kind of just wrap gently around the hair to kind of help, speed up the process, which i think also helped the 20 volume developer work. The reason why you use foil when you're doing a bleaching or any coloring process, because foil, helps in capture the heat and heat, helps act as a catalyst to you know: fasten the reaction, which is hair lighting, the knots and after about like 20 minutes, you can See the knots were perfectly lightened and it stayed only to the knots because my mixture was mixed to a good consistency, not too thick a little, not too thick, not too watery. I'M sorry, my words, i'm always slurring my words together. So now i'm just going ahead and just trying to wash out that bleach solution, i'm using a little spray nozzle on this thing, just trying to make sure i wash out all that bleach first to stop the reaction, so the hair does not get any more light Than it needs to, and i'm using some purple shampoo i'll link it down below this is a new one. I really really like this one i feel like it actually does something to my knots like it actually helps get them less orange because you don't want the scalp or the the knots to be orange, because your head is not orange. You got donald trump okay, so you got ta make sure you neutralize that orange color into a nice, like you, know natural scalp, colored tone that makes sense so once i've went ahead and just washed out that purple shampoo. Oh i'm sorry. I also forgot to say i let it sit on the lace for about. I let it set my lace for like four minutes and then i wash it out, but once i washed it out, the wig was ready to be plucked. But, like i said guys, this is more of a showing you guys what i did not a full on tutorial, but don't worry, i do have lots of perfectly detailed thought through tutorials y'all should check out. If you want to figure out. You know more in-depth explanations of how i do my plucking and my bleaching, but here i am just going in and plucking the wig trying to give it some scalp. I didn't want to plug the wig too much because i know this is like this was my friend's wig and one thing with while you, while a very plucked wig, can look really nice and give lots of scalp. But in the long run it's going to also affect the longevity of the wig you're, going to get more shedding same thing with bleaching the knots too. So i don't want to pluck her hair too much, because i want her to be able to wear this wig through a long time, but the same time was kind of annoying, because this is a high density wig. So like the knots were very thick. So you know the wig was looking a little bit thick in the first application, but i just wanted the way to last longer, so i didn't plug that much. Those are things you have to keep in mind whenever you're doing all this, like prep work for your install but uh. Let me stop rambling, let you guys just watch the rest of me plucking this wig to my liking and then we'll be ready to install the hair once the wig was ready for install. I did the last prep step, which was tinting the lace and i used her concealer shade this nars creamy concealer, and this is hers. She says it is the best match for her skin tone. I forgot what shade it was. I didn't want to show it on the screen and it is the shade amande amanda medium dark. Well, that's the shade. Y'All saw it screenshot if you guys know if i just went ahead and just buffed, that all over the lace and lit a blow dryer to just you know, let it all set and ready for installation. Here'S me just trying to push her wig cap back, because you don't want the wig, the wig cap, to lay on top of the lace, because it will definitely show i just like to keep the wig cap there just so that it doesn't so. The clips in the wig don't get stuck on your braids. You know now, i'm just going into my scissors and cutting off the little side tabs on your clothes, your little thick piece, because that part does not lay down. It'S not meant to be laid. I think it's just there as kind of like a buffer between the lace and the tracks. I don't know so. I'M going in with my ebbin lace spray, as my adhesive it is a glue, is adhesive because she's, just like me, she's, like sleeping in her wig. She likes temporary hold. She wants to take it off at night and put it on whenever she needs to put it on. You know. So once i went ahead and sprayed the ebb and lace braid all over her hair, i'm using my blow dryer and a rat tail comb to help me just dry up all that product and to help push the lace in i'm really gripping onto her head. Because i wanted the lace to lay down, but once the lace was nice and dry like i felt it was stuck to her head. I went ahead and used my scissors in a jagged motion to cut off that lace. I didn't have any brow razors. That would have worked better, but you got ta use what you got and unfortunately, because i was trying to like really get up in there with that scissors. It cost a little bit of lifting, and sometimes you get lifting you start to get like a little bit of a white cast as you'll see right here, but that's fine, it's easy fix. All i had to do is go back in with that spray and just help moisten the lace up and just push down all the parts are lifting and re-dry, and it should be, you know, melted all over again super easy. I also went ahead and pulled out my bait. The baby hairs, i'm going to be carving out. I like to pull them out, while the lace is a little bit tacky from the spray, so they can really lay down a flat, and i skip my elastic band and put that over the lace so like the baby, hairs can be laying flat as well the Lace, everything is nice and dry, so when i do go and swoop the baby hairs, i don't have to deal with too much lifting you know. While i'm letting my lace dry, i mean her lace. I'M just used to always saying my i'm letting her lace dry. I'M just going in with my hot comb and just starting to press out the roots in the hair, because i realized the roots were kind of curled up. So you know i just went section by section and just took my time and pressed it all down doing this step, it's really going to make sure you get a very flat install oh, so this is us the next day, because we realized um. We kind of wanted to do a side part. She always does middle parts and never had a side part. So i was like okay girl. Then we definitely got to do a side part. So you can see how you feel yourself. So i went ahead and just started using some mousse to kind of help, loosen the hair up and just help change the part over. You can do the same thing with your hot comb, but since this is curly hair, just using mousse kind of makes more sense and helps just moves the hair easier. So i'm trying to work that product in through the hair, because you want to make sure that you're getting the product in the roots, because you got to train the roots of the hair or the knots whatever to move in the new direction. Here, i'm just using some mousse to swoop her baby hairs. I'M sorry that the baby hair part of this video got cut off. I can't find the clip to save my life, but it's just me doing my standard. You know two baby hairs. I do for my closure on the side and i just use the mousse to help me swoop them the way i like it, and here i'm just using my hot comb, to help me press out my new part and just you know clean up the part. So it's nice and defined, and now it's time for my favorite part, which is defining the wave, slash curls and i just keep it really simple. With a spray bottle filled with water, i'm just going to get the hair, nice and drenched from root to tip and just go ahead and use my little detangling brush and brush brush brush the hair and scrunch as well. Until i start to see little ringlets that i love form and once i get them to form like this, i let the hair air dry. Without you know touching or anything. I also did went ahead and put light layers to help frame her face like it. Wasn'T all like very heavy on her face, you know, but now i'm just you know basically done with the hairstyle and i'm doing some finishing touches, i'm adding some light, colored concealer into the part. So you can really see that side swoop and that's really it for the install besides letting the hair dry. I don't really enjoy installing hair on other people, because that's like a different ball game, i'm really good at installing my wig, but i'm sure, with more practice. Installing other people's hair i'll get better. You know everything takes practice. So i'm really glad my friend. Let me practice my skills on her and maybe, if i do more people's wig i'll want to do others. But for now i like just installing my hair installing other people's hair, stresses me out because i'm a perfectionist, as you guys know, like i like to put only my best work out there, so i can spend forever fixing my own hair, let alone doing someone's hair. You know if i was a hair stylist. They only have like a couple of hours per customer. I would only have one customer because i'll be in the person's wig for decades. Okay, so yeah there's my little rant, but thank you guys so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed this video because i enjoyed making it and my friend definitely enjoyed her little install. You can see she's feeling herself, but make sure you guys like comment and subscribe, and peace out girl scouts see you in another one goodbye,
