Sometimes you may end up with the perfect wig, but with the stupidest part line, I'm going to show you how to change this part line with a household iron. You can put your wig on any kind of a surface as long as it keeps that nice rounded shape, so you can use a bowl you can use. I don't know anything that you can get to stay in one spot, I'm using an old cosmetology manikin head that I don't care about, so we're not going to be applying so much heat that you're going to melt anything unless you're using something. That'S really soft plastic. So just kind of keep that in mind. We are going to move the part over to a side part, because I think that will look better you're just going to carve off the side part and move some of those bangs over with it. So we're going to create more of a sweeping side part that way. So the key to this right now is we've got it parted. How we want it we're going to make sure that all of the synthetic hair is combed in the direction that we want it and I'm not going to let go with this hand. That'S going to hold that hair over to the side, because the second that I let go it's going to move and we're not going to get that hair going in the direction that we want. So we're just going to take all of that back up. Make sure that everything is combed in the direction that we want. So I have some wefts back here that I want to hide, so I'm gon na hide those, and this front now looks really weird. I'M gon na make sure that these come this way, and this goes this way and everything is nice and smooth. So I like the way that looks so now I'm going to take a towel now this is wet. This is you know what that is, so I'm going to take that and I'm going to lay it over the top. Okay, that's really important, because it's that steam that's going to go through there. That'S going to set that new part. Then I'm going to remember where that part is and I'm just going to press into it, keep it moving. We don't need to do a ton, but we want to make sure that we get the entire thing now without letting go, I'm going to remove the towel and I'm going to check before I drop this to make sure that everything is going in that new direction. So I'm gently letting go and you can see it's now pressed into its new shape. So I can let go calm it out and your new part is permanent.

Fun 'do's By Trish: OMG, this video was so helpful! I am new on my wig journey and it's amazing the things you can do to a wig to make them more natural looking. I recently bought a mid-length wavy style. It's a dark brown, (a little too dark for me), and it has these beautiful caramel highlights, (better looking than anything I have gotten done in a salon), and I love it! But is has a center part that I am not fond of and I have never parted my hair this way. I thought I was going to have to live with it, but it's nice to see this tip so I can make it work for me! I have already had to "Dr" it a bit by thinning it out and it's starting to look better. Now I have to get used to wearing it....

Lorraine G.: Love it. Thanks because this bang is iritating me and I prefer a side part I bought a $20 wig so I want to make it work. The other wig I bought I couldn't exchange or return it so I wasn't gonna keep spending money on wigs Going through the last of chemo so this really helped me

Johnston Family: Wow what a great video! Im ordering my first wig and excited to try this! Thank you!

Taro Hiromi: Straight forward without a bunch of filler thank you

Deblois-Lavoie Emilie: Un énorme Merciiiii ! C'était exactement se que je cherchais, très instructif

Judy Roche: Thanks for this tutorial. My synthetic lace front wig came in yesterday and center parts look awful on me!

mika lynn: Thank you So Much!!! So Simple! Absolutely love your hair, by the way!!!!

Izzy James: I got my first synthetic wig recently, and it's unclear whether it has a flexible parting or not (it says so on one of the images but not in the description). I haven't messed around with it too much and I'm not too sure what to do with long hair (I've had a pixie cut for 7 years now and never really experienced long hair) so I'm going to try to see if it is flexible, but if not, I'll definitely use this method

LaSonia Lamay: Wow! I'm going to try that. I love a side part thanx for sharing

Sharbear: SO HELPFUL! Thanks for posting.

Nay: How do you avoid the new parting from letting hair hang in your face too much? Since the hair is now more on one side than the other by a bit

Natrelle Tyson: That you so much. I bought a bang wig and I thought it would be a good idea to pluck my part and it look hideous! So I tryed to part over it and make it look the way it did before I messed it up, but the hairs won't stay in place. Now I know what to do though so thanks

K B: Omg you just saved my little wig thank you!

gen murrai: Thank you for educating me. So appreciated

💜Monnie💜: Thank you so much this is so helpful!!!!

Val B: Love that! Wondering how i can do that to blend new bangs on a parted wig? I dont want to iron the forehead lol

Beverly Frederick: Thank you for sharing this with us !☆☆☆☆☆

Solaprose: Can it really be this simple? lol ... so trying this; have a bang on my wig which goes left but I always wear my real bang to the right. This will be perfect for changing it. Thanks

sadwitch: so helpful! thanks for sharing!

raspberrymemories: How hot do you have the iron? What setting?

milkenwood: thank you, this is really helpful ! i only have a styrofoam wighead tho, will it survive this ?

Teresa Rae: So I actually have the opposite partline lol. I have a cosplay wig that has a side part but I need it to have a middle part for my character. Will this method work for creating a middle part too? Also, will this need to be done every time the wig is washed? I wash my wigs occassionally so they don't get trashed, so I'd like to know if washing the wig resets the partline. Thanks in advance!!

Kay Kulpa: I really enjoyed this I'm not much of a wig person but it was still really interesting

MJ Rapp: I just bought a silky wig from Arda Wigs, so I know the plastic is probably a bit softer than their classic wigs. Is this safe to do on that wig do you think? I'd hate to melt it by accident ):

R A: is this with lace front wigs only, or does it work with all wigs?

AtomicArson: Does this work on non heat resistant wigs? My new wig arrived and I need to move the part to a side by the 25th.

The College Money Mom: This works. Thanks!

Humaniodchica: thank you ! awesome video

Amanda Nguyen: Wow thanks for the tip!

Rachel Simmons: will this hold its shape, once ironed, through hand-washing? or should I get the shine off before I change the part?

María Eugenia Caminos: Thank you so much!

Courtney S: Does this work with synthetic wigs?

jude fontenele: Does this work on wavy wigs, or will it straighten the roots?

Prerana Singh: Most detailed video ever.,

Jessica Alvarez: Does this also work with human hair wigs? :o

Kat T: Can I do this to cut bangs in my wig? I really want to cut bangs in my wig but the part in it won't let me ☹️

Bree Is Fangirling: Hye there beautiful. Is it also possible if I use a fabric/clothes steamer to achieve the same result? Thank you gorgeous .

Anna Boncha: What setting do you put the iron on?

Tabby Dent: To change the part, does the top have to be completely monofilament? There are a lot of Bell Tress wig styles I like but the parts are left sided only. I was wondering if I could change the part on a left side monofilament top wig?

a slew of constellations!: My wig has short bangs how do I get rid of them? Also is it ok to just trim the wig? The character I'm cosplaying has shorter hair than the wig.

Kristopher Hebert: Can this be done without an iron? I do not have one :(

Nilda Vazquez: I have a synthetic wig with a center partline. Could I do a layered bang on it?

Julie Julie: awesome!!

bakekang: How about if you want to make it free parting. My natural hair is free-part, that is how I want to wear my wig too. Please make a video of that too.

Emmy Fenwick: How do you hide the track ?

tinathebully: Hi! I don't have an iron but I do ha e a handheld steamer I use for clothes. Will this work? And if so do I still need to put something on top of the wig? Thank you!

Eren Aslan Meza: Thanks!

crystal pone: I have a wig with a part in the middle but I want it on it he side. I will try this.

Linda ola: Thanks for sharing

Gore Geous Gaming: This may sound really* stupid but i dont have an iron at my house, is* there anything else i can use as a heat source with this method?

ELSE Music: can i do this with a flat iron or a hair dryer? i dont have a clothes iron...

Andrea Fredrickson: I jus bought a new wig and the part is on the wrong side though my wig has human hair would it still work

lillysotherstuff: ur a life saviour

NefFy: Yeah… a steamer would be better
