Wig Won'T Stick? Wig Install For Sweaty Hairlines! (It’S Stuck!) + Water Test

So before we start, this is the same wig. That was in my previous video that i customized, if you have not seen that video make sure to go, watch that video you want these tips, i'm telling you girl go watch so the way that i'm going to be installing today, i will be sure to put Down below in the description box, if you would like to purchase it, it's down there, so this wig is a 360 lace. Wig. You can do a lot with the 360 lace wig. You can part it anywhere. You can put it up into a ponytail half up. Half down it's just a very versatile wig and i feel like when you are installing a wig like this. You want your application to be long wear, especially in the summer when it's hot you don't want to sweat off your wig. You want to go to the beach, you want to go to the pool and you don't want your wig to be in the pool, so the glue that i'm going to be using for today's video is from hd glue. This is their active glue and this glue promises to be a long, wear, sweat, proof, waterproof and that's very important because in the sun you don't want no shiny glue. I'M just saying we don't want to be shining like sparkles, okay, not the hairline, alright! So now that you know the details about the glue, i'm gon na go ahead and pre-style this wig before i put it on my head now, as you can see, you can part it anywhere around this lace, so you get lots of parting space. I want to pre-style it so that all i have to do is glue it down. I don't have to worry about styling it after i'm finished so yeah i'm going to go ahead and cut some layers and style it, and then we will move into this install, which is very important, so make sure you stay tuned. That way, you can know how to get the best application for your wig me all right, so the install is very important when it comes to a waterproof application. So what i'm doing is going to make sure that my hairline and everything is clean. I apply the wig cap over top of my hair to flatten it down. This also prevents sweats from accumulating, underneath your wig. The wig cap is good for that. So make sure you wear a wig cap. Now i'm going to take the got to be spray and i'm going to spray around the hairline. This is going to give me that hold on this wig cap, because i'm going to cut away this harsh band that's going around and i'm going to also cut it around the ear area. So i made a slit at the ear and then i just opened up that slit around the ear. And this is going to make sure that when i go to dry the wig cap, that it's not lifting in that area, so that it can lay flat and protect my natural edges. Now i feel like the safest way to cut away the ball. Cap is to use a razor. It gets very close to the area that you want to stay stuck, and it also don't cut your skin because a lot of times you can get too close to your skin. Trying to use scissors so use the razor. So a lot of people ask me well: why do you keep your wig on your head when you're installing i like to do this, because i need to make sure that the hairline on the wig matches and lines up where i want my hairline to fall when I glue it down, it's just it works for me, so this is what i do so, with the 360 lace wig, the hairline can be a bit tricky, so i'm gon na give you some tips in a second, but what i'm doing right now is making sure That that wig cap underneath does not have any um threads and i'm also making sure that it falls where i need it to fall. What i notice about the 360 cap is for my head, and this depends maybe on the head size um, when i go to put it from ear to ear. I do notice that there's lifting at the center, meaning that the lace can be a little bit longer when this happens, your lace will lift faster. Even if you glue it down and it will ripple, have you ever had little bubbles in your lace or rippling right here at the forehead area and the reasoning behind that is because your hairline of your wig is not placed in the right area. So for me, i like to bring it down further onto my forehead, because i do not like the glue on my hair at all, so i try to bring it further down when i do that, however, it can cause the center of the lace it kind of Makes it bulge so what i'm gon na do is take my wig cap and just go ahead and cut it back, but it's still protecting my natural edges. So i don't have to worry about the glue getting on those and the reason why i'm telling you guys. All of this is because it's very important that your wig is installed correctly. Otherwise, i don't care what waterproof sweat proof glue that you use if it's bulging or if the lace is not down the way it's supposed to you're, going to lift. So let's go ahead and install the wig with the hd active glue, i'm going to use a regular wooden stick, you can use a popsicle stick whatever you have just make sure you do not use your fingers. So when i first apply this glue, i did little dots. You don't want to do the little dots that you see everyone else doing with this clear glue, it's going to be very stringy and it's going to create a mess. Okay, so don't do that. I decided to just apply it to the stick, because it was just too many loose strings of glue just going everywhere, and i found that this actually worked a lot better. Now spoiler alert, okay before we go any further, i want to tell you: i did wear this glue for a whole day and i did sweat. I did a lot of moving around and my application was good now as far as the water test. You just have to stay tuned. If you want to see how that works out, but anyways, i'm applying a thin layer of glue around the edge of that wig cap and i'm making sure to apply a little bit more right at the ear tab area, because this area lifts okay. So you want to make sure that you are secure there, because a lot of times if your wig coming loose is usually coming a loose at that area. First, so i let that dry for about five minutes, so i'm going to go ahead and line up the ear tab area. First, the sideburns and i'm using my edge brush to press down that lace. I'M not touching that glue. If you touch the glue or if your finger gets stuck on it, you will turn it white. So you want to be very gentle with this part of the application process also be sure that the lace around the ear is actually around the ear and not on top of your ear. Okay, so hold it down and then push that lace around that ear. Next, we're going to tie it down and i tied down my hairline for a good hour um. You don't want to tie it too, tight. Okay, don't choke your head. Don'T don't do that also another tip use a satin tie around. Do not use cotton. You will regret it so after about an hour, my application is ready and i'm taking my scarf off, and i noticed that it's stuck now. This happens when you put glue in an area that does not have lace to fix this. All you need is a little bit of alcohol, so i'm taking these alcohol swabs and i'm going to rub the areas that turn white. Now you can either rub it. Release that lace. Stick it back down or you can just try to clean it up, create a little bit of baby hair, some wispy baby hairs and it'll be just fine and that's it. You guys. Look at that like the glue. Did it pass the invisible test? Absolutely like my hairline looks good and the lace on this wig is melting honey. This is just scalp. There'S like what lace, what lace do you see you don't? Now we are getting to the part that you all have been waiting for. So this is still the same day and it's the end of the day now the curls held up. So well you guys they are so beautiful. I don't really want to do this, but i'm going to do it for you guys, because we need to know if this glue is going to hold us through water. I already know it holds through sweat because girl, i've been sweating all day: honey, okay, but we're gon na go ahead into the shower and see what it do. Hunty all right. So i'm gon na go ahead and soak the hair with some warm water. I'M just put my head under there. This is round one i'm going to pat the water into the hairline wet it. Some more come see. What'S going on now, the first round i was like normally by now, if a glue is going to lift, i will see it happening right now, especially at the side burn area, but we're gon na go in for a second round and let's see what it do, Get it nice and saturated, and yes, it's touching my hairline, you guys definitely and i'm pushing that water into the hairline to make sure that it's touching um. I work so hard on this wig application. I really don't want this to lift like i really don't, but so far we don't we're doing really good, especially my size. I'M very impressed very impressed right now, all right we're going to go in one more time. This is the last round we're going to let it sit for a few minutes. This well not for a few minutes, but i'm let it sit a little longer. This time just hold my head, underneath there get it nice and wet. As you can see, it's soaking wet squeeze the water out all right. Let'S see what it do! Honey, let's see if this glue is still holding coming out, that shower girl come on shower okay and look at that. You guys it's still secure. Even at the sideburn area, look at that, but i'm going to go ahead and put it close to this video and say that this glue is really good. There is no lifting on my lace right now. I spent a lot of time today moving around swaying a little bit and still held really good. I highly recommend you guys go check out this glue. I will link it below in the description box.
