It'S your girl, courtney, janine and i'm back with another video. Today'S video is another. Get the look. This is a series where i recreate celebrity looks with a synthetic wig um. I just love this because i feel like it's just a a challenge. It'S so well. I won't say it's easy to replicate a celebrity's look with the human hair, but it is definitely a lot easier with human hair, wigs because with human hair you're able to manipulate it. If you need a diet, you could dye it, but with synthetic wigs it just adds this element of twist and this just another level of difficulty to that whole phenomenon. So that is what this series is all about. I realized that, like a lot of the times when i do these celebrity look recreations, i don't really name it get the look, so i am going to do that going forward because whenever i reference this series, people are like what what series is that? But you probably have definitely seen a video or two from this series, but yeah today we're going to be tackling a miss billy ellis and for today's video we are definitely not going to be doing the blonde hair we're going to be doing her signature, green roots, Wig or yeah it was a wig. Oh my gosh did you guys remember when billy ellis literally showcased that her signature, green roots and black hair was a wig like i remember that tic toc i was like what the heck i did not know. That was a wig, but a lot of people knew anyways. Today we're going to be recreating that look with a synthetic wig, i'm so excited before we get into today's video. Are you guys so today's wig is from bobby boss. Now i am going to touch on bobby boss in another video of mine, probably my next. Let'S talk new synthetic wig releases because um i'm just super excited for their upcoming releases. You guys know that my last bobby boss review, i did say that it was going to be my last away from them um, but that has changed and if you follow my community tab, then you know why, if you don't then grow just be on the lookout For my next, let's talk new synthetic quick releases because i'm getting into all that but anyways today's video, we are going to be um using bobby boss, their wig called bonnie, no, not bonnie. Oh my gosh, it's called ronnie. Sorry, but you know what it reminds me of the bonnie wig, so i think that's why i said it but anyways this is from the bobbi boss, lace, part collection. It looks like this. This is what the wig looks like um. I picked it up in the color in the style, mlp24 ronnie and the color rt neon 1b. Now i did pick up some color because i think we're going to have to dye this wig a little bit just because it is a neon green, but it also has other colors at the top, but we're going to go ahead and open this up. Talk about the key features and all that, so we can kind of get a good sense of what i so. I can get a good sense of what i need to do to this wig because it does come with a bit of green, but it has some elements of like pink in it from what i've seen pictures. So, let's go ahead and open this up. I don't believe um bobby boss, bonnie, which i have reviewed on my channel, was from the same collection. I don't think it was so i don't think i've tried this collection ever from bob boss. Let'S go ahead and talk about the key features, so it comes with a medi, fresh, safe and clean cap, a realistic four inch part which we won't use, because this style does have bangs stylish volume. Extra natural 4 inch depart hand tied, realistic lace, part. It comes in a number of colors, including one one b: two r t b, l, o r g slash, one b, r t g l, a x y, one b, r t neon one b, which is what i'll be reviewing today: r t r a i n B, slash 1 b, t d, 4, 2, 7, 6, 1, 3, p, t d, 4, 6, 13, p, a t, t 1 b, 30 t t 1 tt1b bug. I don't know if that's helpful at all um to you, because i don't know what those mean, but i will show you guys a stock card because it does have a bit of the colors on there. So that is some of the colors and then this is the front of the stock card. Let'S go ahead and open this up. I'M excited i am like. I don't know if we'll have to do this, but i am kind of prepared to go in with, like my razor to kind of shape it because i don't know, i don't know what it's going to get you let's go ahead and talk about this cap construction Before we do our initial try on, do you see the color yeah? Let'S talk about the color real quick, so i don't know if you guys can see this color, so you see how it's not all the way green. So i did pick up some temporary hair color, similar to like what folks use or you might have used it yourself in order to like fix a part on a wig. You would go in with like black hair spray. I got green hairspray, so we might have to use that, but this is what the hair looks like straight out: the pack in terms of cap construction. You do have that four inch lace. You have a comb on each side, a comb in the back and adjustable straps. So this is what the inside of the cap looks like. Okay, let's go ahead and try her on. I think it is giving billy hold on hold on hold on yeah my mind, like i'm, not even trying to be cocky or nothing but like whoa like whoa yeah. This is it. This is it we got him. We freaking got him okay, yeah. This is giving billy. Are you dumb? Are you dumb? Okay? This is definitely giving billy um initial thoughts. The hair color like this is what we need all throughout the um, the wig. But honestly i feel like, even if i didn't have the hold on, i need to just push this back, because the the bangs are a little long, so i might go in and cut them, but not really sure. I might just like push it back like this, but i just have to move the bangs out of my face. You see how this color is like the green that we needed. I kind of wish that it was green all throughout but, like you know, the color is the color. But what i will say is that i do think that even if you go out because i don't know, if you'll be able to find this green hair braid or i don't even know if this green hairspray will work um. So if you do not have that, i think that people will get the gist that you're trying to be billy with this hair. Even if you don't go in and customize it like. I am going to this is so cute um. The hair texture is kind of like a yaki um, but yeah. I feel like the bangs are like perfect they're a little long but like i, don't really want to cut them, or at least not yet. I want to try to um finesse this color. So let me show you guys what i got to color this unit, but i'm so excited you guys. This really looks like billy, oh okay, my mind in my mind. Okay, let's go so um. This is before i show you guys the product. I don't typically use this temporary hair color. I actually use another brand, but they did not have green and i even looked on amazon to kind of like see if they had green, but they didn't. So. This is what i picked up at my local beauty supply. It says it's from jerome russell: it's temporary hair color, it's a spray can and it's in the color green. If you guys can see, i don't know if it will focus on it but anyways. This is what i'm going to use and it it's like a spray. Can so i'm just going to put this on my wig head and, let's see if it works? Okay, guys this is my wig head. This wig head has been through a lot, not gon na lie. I kind of need a new one, but if you follow me on tik tok or if you've seen any of my like unboxing reels - and you definitely have seen a miss gurl because she be starring in a lot of my content, so yeah. So i'm just gon na put this on yeah. It'S like elements of pink that we want to get rid of now. The thing is, i'm just hoping that hair color only penetrates the top and not the black. Oh, my gosh, you guys y'all see that yeah. You can see that oh, i need to go. Lighter yeah, yeah, we're about to begin billy, all right, core crew. Here'S the final look of the billy ellis inspired: hair featuring the bobbi boss, lace, part unit in the style, mlp24 ronnie in the color rt neon 1v, and of course i did go in and color it. So we have two things to review today: not only the wig, of course, but also this temporary hair color. Let'S go ahead and start with the temporary hair color. I got it in the color green from jerome russell. It'S a temporary hair color. Now this is temporary. Okay, even when i rub my hands on this wig, i would have green on my hands and, as you can see, even when i was like combing through the hair, the comb is completely green, so it is temporary and kind of like not like very temporary, like I could touch this and my hands would be completely green, so i just would, but it was. It washes right off, but you know you want it to like at least stick to the hair. So, honestly, i don't think you really need this, because the color, even when i first did the unboxing i kind of talked about how the wig was giving billy even without me, going in and adding this temporary hair color. So i don't think it's absolutely necessary for you to do that extra step, but yeah it's a temporary hair color. I don't think it's the best. I would have loved if this color was offered in my typical um colored hairspray. But you know you do what you do you do what you do, but i think that this is super cute and i definitely even in my reference picture like billy - does not have a perfect one color tone of green, so it kind of would have worked if You just left it as it was, but yeah. So, in terms of the hair, i think that this is really really a cute wig, and it's so trendy, and you guys know, even though i have my issues with bobby boss, i always commend them for their colors and again they snapped with this like this is So trendy this um colored roots trend, and i love i love. I love. I praise bobby boss - and i also praise outreach for this, like the fact that they are so on top of the trends and they're providing folks who want to stay on a budget or just like synthetic wigs to still be trendy um at an affordable price. So i love that um. I love this wig. I think it's perfect for the billy ellis inspired hair. Would i wear this on a regular day? No, but what i wear for billy ellis inspired shoe! Yes, like it's super cute and it's perfect for halloween. That'S coming up, i'm so excited for wicktober, but yeah.
