U-Part Wig Series | Ep. 3 How To Seal Your Wefts

Hey, ladies, thank you for tuning in to episode three of the u-part wig series. My name is bianca charisma, and today i am going to be talking about sealing your west. So the number one thing to know about sealing your wefts is that when you are wearing a u-part wig or you know just creating a wig period, you want to make sure to seal your wefts. Because, honestly, when you wear hair, that's not yours! In your head! You want to avoid it shedding, so you know when you get in the shower and then when you go in the bathroom, when you go to sleep, you just don't want to see hair everywhere everywhere you go so the less shedding the better. So any hair that you have you're going to want to seal the wefts and what i mean by sealing the wefts is um your hair, your um bundles, your tracks. They have um they're, basically like sewed at the top, so the weft part is the top part of the hair, and you want to make sure that the hair um, what it's holding on to is secure, so that little strands won't start just falling off everywhere. Even if you have um from just cheap hair to expensive hair, you want to make sure that your u-part wig is in the best shape possible. Just so you don't have to continue to go behind yourself and clean up things, and just you just don't want to mess up your hair so sealing your wefts is very important, so sealing your wefts is going to be the third thing that you are going to Want to do when you are creating a u-part wig so before you start creating your u-part wig. Actually um, like you know, creating it sewing it on to the cap. What you want to do is seal your wefts, i purchased um from i actually went to join fabrics and i got the dritz fray check liquid seam sealant and i got it looks like this, but i got the two pack because you never know how much glue You'Re going to need, you can seal your wefts up to just three four times if you want to just to make sure that the hair is completely sealed. So i reapplied the glue on my wefts about two to three times to make sure that i don't um get a lot of shedding or any shedding. If i can avoid any shedding - and it's just the best move to make, because you want to have wigs that are in amazing shape for you to wear, especially if you want to recycle your wigs and just wear them and switch them in and out, i'm always Wearing wigs, i always switch them just in and out say i want to wear a curly one or i want to wear um bob or i want to wear my hair long with the middle part. Along with the side part, i want to make sure that every time i grab one of my wigs that they are in great shape and the hair is not just falling everywhere. So the fray check is amazing. It'S actually made for fabric, but it works really good. On the wefts of the hair, it's okay! If the glue actually gets onto the hair, just let it dry and you can comb it right out. Um i received my hair. This hair is from savon lux. I will for sure do a video on it. This is the regal wave, it's i'll say it's amazing i'll just say that um when i received it, it was um, it just came in a bundle like usual hair does and it had additional things in it, but, like i said i will do a review on This hair but um i did not wash it before i seal the wefts, so i actually sealed the wefts. First, i created the u-part wig and after i created the u-part wig, i wash the hair, so you don't have to wash your hair and it's still your wefts, because there's just no point you can just seal the wefts first and then worry about all of that. Later um but yeah, so i am actually just going to get straight into the tutorial. Just wanted to talk a little bit about sealing your wefts. I am basically going to be putting in the regal wave in my hair, but i just have it freshly sent to me so in the mail or when you pick up your hair. It should already be in the bundle you're going to take your glue and you're going to apply it directly on top of the bundle it's so so easy. If you don't want to apply your glue this way, you can apply it. However, you want to apply it. I have just found this way to be very, very effective for me and it saves a lot of time. So it's super easy. I do one to two coats and then after i do the one to two coats of glue, i either blow dry it or i let it air dry and then i do another coat. So you can honestly do two to three coats of glue, because you really want to make sure that your wefts are sealed completely so that you can have the least amount of shedding as possible. So, as you can see, i'm applying the glue on top of all of the wefts making sure it is evenly covered and it's really really easy this step. So it's just very important and it's an easy step and it's something you can do in a short amount of time and that's honestly about it.
