The Truth About Supernova Hair | Detailed Hair Review

Y'All welcome back to my channel. My name is lex, and today i'm gon na be reviewing this hair that i have in my head from supernova hair. So if you want to know all the tea, the pros, the cons, the specs, all that - because i did purchase this with my own money - keep watching so, like i said before, i did purchase this hair with my own money. I got this hair last year during their black friday sale. I believe i paid 215 dollars for this hair and the original price was 235 and they gave me like a 20 off discount code, so that was good. I got four bundles two 22's 120 inch and one 18 inch and the hair is pretty full. I'M gon na stand up, so y'all can see how long this hair is. So i'm five five and the hair comes down like what my mid back, like my lower back like right above my butt area. So it is true to lint, and i also cut like two to three inches off just so. The ends can be a bit more full at the bottom, so yeah um. One thing i noticed about this company is that their inches do run a bit longer, and i love that with supernova hair um. What else i think you can get away with three bundles? If you like? More of a natural look, see me i like for my hair to be full and thick. So that's why i got four bundles the closure. I did not get this closure from supernova hair. I actually got it off of this online beauty supply store. I believe this is the ali hd closure i'll try to link it down below if i can find it, but y'all know with this whole lace shortage. That'S going on it's so hard to find some good, affordable lace like i think i paid like 40 dollars for this, and i refuse to pay a hundred dollars for a closure like i'm not doing it like i'll real i'll wear my real hair before i spend A hundred dollars for a closure, like that's just ridiculous, but to each his own um so back to the supernova here. Customer service was great. They usually email. You after you purchase your order. They'Ll email you just to confirm that what you purchase is correct and that your shipping address is correct, so i definitely like that they take the time to make sure that you know everything in their system is correct, so they sent you the right to send you. The right thing i've been purchasing from supernova hair since, like what 2018. y'all, i have so many of these little bags. It don't make no sense. It will make no sense how many times i don't purchase from this company, and it's because for one, their prices are super affordable, of course, and the quality is just amazing. Y'All like look at how pretty and flowy this hair is um. What else do i have to say? Customer service was great, i guess oh yeah packaging, so it comes in this little purple bag. This time they gave me um an edge scarf to lay down your edges or whatever lay down your lace, and they also gave me this little eyebrow, no eyebrow edge brush and what else they gave me some lashes. But they were like the plastic lashes and i don't really wear that so whatever. If and yeah - that's really much it. I guess i'll get into the pros and the cons now so like i said, the price of this hair is pretty cheap. If we being honest for bundles for less than 225 is cheap to me, but keep in mind that you do get what you pay for. So i don't know why. But every time i purchase from this company, the hair is just not good straight out. The pack like it's super frizzy, it tangles it sheds um. I think that they do add, like some synthetic strands in their hair, to make the bundles a little bit more full. And i noticed that it's because when i was flattering this hair like it would just give off this really bad. Like burning plastic smell - and i hated that like it would just give me a bad headache like i didn't even want to touch this hair for a while with that smell like it was just horrible and like regular, shampoo and conditioner like cheap, shampoo and conditioner. That you'll get from like walmart or the dollar store. It won't work with this hair like this hair lives for moisture. Like you got to have a lot of moisture in this hair, you got to keep this hair moisturized. I probably wash and deep condition his hair like every week, and i don't really like that, like i like low maintenance, hair like this is a wig. I don't sleep in this hair. This is not sewn on or nothing like that. So i take it off detangle. It at night put it on my mannequin head and put it back on in the morning, and i noticed once like when i started purchasing this hair like it was just not acting right like i don't know how to explain it. It just was not acting right. So i figured that i would just you know deep condition, this hair in silicone mix. If you don't know what silicone mix is it's basically like a protein treatment for your hair, it strips out all of those bad synthetic hairs out of your bundles and it brings back moisture so that worked really well for the hair. It got that smell out. It got those synthetic fibers out and the hair was like silky straight now. It stays straight, but before when i would just wash it and shampoo like shampoo it and condition it with just regular shampoo. It did not feel like this. It would not flow like this. Like it was just horrible, so i don't want y'all thinking that y'all got a bad batch. You just got to know the type of products to put on and to put on it and y'all should know what silicone mix is. If you don't know you can get it from your beauty. Supply store, like almost every beauty supply store, has silicone mix. I also use this brand shampoo and conditioner. I don't know how to pronounce it, but this is what i use. I get this from cvs, walgreens or my beauty supply store, and it's like what seven dollars not that cheap. I mean not that expensive, but it's amazing and it smells so good, like i love smelling this like it smells so good. Like i said, you got ta keep this hair moisturized, that's the only thing that i really don't like about this hair is like it dries out pretty fast and it holds on to dirt and oils. That'S why i don't like putting heavy oils in his hair. The only things that i'll put in his hair is like what is it: bio, silk, a serum and yeah. That'S pretty much the cons. Oh another thing is that this hair does not lift that light like if you try to bleach it. This is like the lightest it'll go and i use like 40 volume developer i'll, insert a picture of what um the hair looked like when i originally bleached it. I put like some chocolate brown highlights in it, but that is the lightest like this. Is the lightest you'll get this hair to bleach honestly, like if you're thinking about bleaching it to like a 6 13 or trying to get like some vibrant color, no you're just going to damage this hair? So i would not recommend you bleaching this hair unless you're going for like a dark brown or like an orange color, but if you're looking for like a purple or a blue, i don't recommend bleaching this hair. It did take a while to bleach, even with the 40 volume developer. It did take a minute to bleach so yeah, that's pretty much. The cons um pros, like i said, the hair is flowy. It'S soft silky straight it gets blown straight. You can curl this hair. It doesn't really hold a curl unless you like, pin curl it. But me i like a more loose wave body, wave type of curl and i like to run my hands through my hair a lot. So i mostly just wear my hair straight. So if you want some balm straight hair, then yeah this hair is it, but if you're looking for like some shirley temple curls or some tight warm curls to last, i don't think that this hair would, you know, hold that type of curl for long the curls. Definitely fall with this hair within like an hour or two so yeah, and i don't wear my hair curl damage. So it's really not a problem to me what tingling it doesn't really tangle. I do get some snags like i do. Get some snacks in like the nape area, but that's about it, nothing major um! If it does tangle like see, i got a little snack right there. I just take my brush brush it. I really didn't get any shading brush it and it'll flow just like that. Like this, hair is really good for the price, so yeah, i think that's pretty much it. I think i touched on everything that i wanted to say about this company. Would i recommend it? Yes, it is some good, affordable, hair, but, like i said you get what you pay for. If you're looking for like some hair to bleach to 6 13 or to wear curly 24 7, then this hair might not be for you. But if you mostly wear your hair straight or you just want some longer lens, that's affordable, then yeah definitely purchase this hair and that's really much all to it like.
