Love Always,

Gwladys

Hey youtube fam: it's your girl gladys here to inspire you to be your very best self, via hair fashion lifestyle and we're back with another video. Now this is a video that i have not done before. So honestly, y'all, i'm a little bit nervous. That'S why today we're gon na start off with some wine. I got this one from the liquor store down block chateau, st michelle and it's a reason. It'S a sweet reasoning. Reasoning is my favorite one, i'm definitely a white wine kind of girl. Let me know your favorite ones in the comments down below we're gon na pop this bad boy open and we're gon na get into the video. I actually bought some cute little tools for my wine today and i'm excited to show you all. First, i bought a brand new wine opener. This is what it looks like and it comes with this piece as well that takes off the material. That'S on top of the cork we're gon na use it together. I'Ve never used this before, but it's supposed to be easy breezy. Let me see how this works all right, so i put this on top like so, and then i just twist it is that what we're doing oh hold on. I think this is like cutting it. Oh okay, so when you put this on top and you twist it it cuts, it open. Okay, that's cute and it exposes the cork. You know this is some okay. It'S something else! I'M getting a little fancy with my wine. So then, now we use this tool right here now this is pressed down like so i already inserted it into the cork. Then i just i think i like go here and then i go like this right. Oh, oh snap, look y'all! The cork is now inside of here that was so easy: okay y'all, that was the easiest removal of a cork i've ever experienced. So literally, how do i take this joint out? What am i doing? Do i twist this up. Is that what's happening? Oh snap? I don't think i'm supposed to do that. I just need to go look at the directions to see how to remove this cork, because it's not i don't know: okay how'd, you do it. Oh you hold it and then you pull it out like that and that's how it comes out. Oh thank you. I'Ve got this off at amazon, so i'll link it down below now. The next tool i'm going to use is this. This is so freaking cute. I saw this on another youtuber's channel and i was like got ta have it so, basically, it's a spout and you put it on top of the spout here and then it pours the wine out. Oh my god. Let'S try it together. There is a power button here. I think that will assist in yeah the pouring now i'm gon na press the button - oh snap, what god? Oh, my god, i got so excited - got on my computer hold on okay. Let'S try it again y'all! I am so impressed by this what this is so freaking cool. Look at that y'all got ta cop this. This just took wine drinking to go home with a level for me. I got this from amazon i'll link. Both items down below. I will update y'all make sure you check me out on instagram and on tick. Tock. Is that your hair, because i will be sharing more amazon, finds like this one over there? Okay, so yeah, let's get started with this video. I got my wine on deck. Let'S take a little swig. This is good. This is my type of reasoning, especially if you like the sweeter riesling, i'm here for this all right y'all. So i've been wanting to do this video for a few months now i've been a little bit nervous because i don't normally do commentary like this, but i was like you know what i've been on this wig break, i'm almost ready to get back into lace, fronts And frontals again, but they're, just a few things that i'm not bringing with me in 2022., a few things that i am ditching in 2022 and y'all may want to ditch them too, be mindful. This is my personal opinion. If you feel offended by anything, i say in this video feel free to drop it in the comments. Let'S chitchat about. Let'S have some discourse. I would also love to hear what are some of your wig trends that you're ditching in this new year. It'S an open forum but be respectful in the comments. Don'T get crazy. We are all entitled to our own respectful opinion on this channel. Also. I was curious to see if anybody was talking about wig trends, because i was like huh. Is it just me, and i noticed that my girl jayla aka jay chanelli? She did a video on hair trends like a broader spectrum jayla, if you're watching this, i didn't watch your video yet because i didn't want to you know, have any type of outside opinions. Possibly affecting mine, but now that i've done this video, i'm definitely watching yours afterwards and y'all should check her out too. She does hair content, really good content, so i'll link her video in the description box, all right, so the first wig trend, i'm ditching in 2022. Let me just hold up the bottom: who's still using got2b glue, free spray in 2022. Raise your hand why i feel, like this joint, had the girls in a chokehold from 2015.. Let me see, because i started wearing wigs in 2015. from that point onward. This was in everybody's video, including mine. You can look back at some of my past videos and i was right there with the girls spraying this on, because it was just at the time the best way to adhere your wigs. You know i don't know who started this, but it was a great idea at the time, but, like all great things, time passes things evolve, things change and better products have come out since this free spray. I think the two things that really bothered me about this free spray is that i noticed that when drying down it would leave like a white cast, especially if you use too much and for my beginner wig wears. You probably know what i'm talking about, because it's easy to od on the freeze spray, but also i realized the hold. Wasn'T that great, like it was good at the time. But let me go work out or let me be at a festival for 10 hours and my lace is lifting, but at the time there was nothing else i was really using, but then alternative started coming out. I think it was 20 20. When i tried the bed head spray, i like that spray. I still have that spray. I haven't used it in a while, but i still have it, but i will say my ultimate favorite spray right now is by even new york. If you don't have this friend your collection, honey, get it, the link is down below, add it to your car, so this spray actually has three different holes, there's a yellow bottle which has like the the normal hold, and then the red is like medium, and this Is the extreme hold the black bottle which came out some months ago? I'M here for it, the hold is excellent and i don't get that white residue that i would get with this freeze spray right here so out with all and with the new go grab. This thank me later, if you haven't already, if you've already tried this by eben, let you girls know in the comments. It says fast drying, no residue 20 times hold for lace. I feel like the claims are true. The rumors are true, so boo go grab this now. Please note that for all the products that i mentioned in this video, they are linked in my description box down below. I take a lot of time to make sure my description box is updated for y'all. If i do forget anything, of course, y'all can, let me know in the comments you all do that very well, but everything like even when i'm wearing my robe, that i'm wearing, which i love my hair. Yes y'all. This is not my hair. This is a ponytail. Okay - and this thing looks damn good. This is why i've been on the wig break rocking these natural hairstyles. I did a video on this ponytail for 20 tuesday, like two weeks ago, so definitely check that video out you'll see some other ponytails there that are bomb and looks so freaking natural, but yeah i'll leave the direct link for this on amazon. This is the 12 inch. It went viral on tick, tock and y'all sold that out, but there is an alternative vendor selling the same style. I bought it in the 10 inch. I haven't tried it yet, but more ponytails are coming in case you're wondering i'll leave. All the links down below so you can check it out all right for the next big trend, i'm ditching in 2022 - and this is a trend that you may not know, is a trend but honey. I can't keep leaving my braids in for like two months at a time under my wigs like i just can't. I just can't - and i know i'm not the only one that does this drop a comment. If this is you, you get your hair braided. You braid yourself, you're wearing your wigs two weeks, passed by you're. Oiling your scalp you're doing your thing four weeks past six weeks past and you know you're just caught up in everyday life and you just don't take the braids out. I mean it sounds terrible, but this has been my reality, i'm coming clean, i do it, but it is wreaking havoc on my natural hair and the thing is, i don't want to ever feel dependent on wigs where it could be prevented. It'S one thing: if you have a condition, you know where you lose hair, that's not your fault! You can't help that. But if i am experiencing breakage on my hair due to negligence, that's a freaking problem. Y'All, don't be like me, take care of your hair under your wigs, i'm so lucky. I still have hair underneath this ponytail because i haven't been treating my natural hair right, but you know what in 2022, i have recommitted myself to my natural hair. I realized that i need to just wear my hair in a stretched state more often because it's easier for me to take care of my hair that way, but in the interim i can't i need to take these braids out. I can't i just can't do it and my i get my hair braided out of hair salon, because i don't like doing it myself and my stylist god bless clara. She be like girl. I told you don't be like. Why are you you got split ends now you got ta trim your hair again, you got ta cut your hair again. Last time i went. I just got a trim a few months ago. I have to get a trim again because i wasn't doing all supposed to do with my natural hair and that's not cool especially you know i have nice hair. I have a good amount of hair. I shouldn't be seeing breakage at all. So, let's leave that trend in the past 20 22 moving forward. We are taking care of our natural hair underneath our wigs the next time i do my ponytail video. You are going to see my natural hair and you're going to see how i put it up into my ponytail, so make sure you tune in to 20 tuesday, because that's the next time, i will showcase that video all right, y'all next week, trend that i'm ditching In 2022, okay, does it apply to me? I don't know, but let's just let's just really be mindful of the leave out the leave out. That does not blend okay, maybe you guys didn't know. This was a trend, but i see it. I'Ve been seeing people with their leave out, looking like it needed to be put back in okay, i'm sure i have been guilty at some point too. I did do a video on a you part wig by outrage that i loved, but my natural hair reverts back. So quickly, when i straighten it myself like, if i go to a salon, it lasts a lot longer, and so it was reverting a little bit and i i still went out the house like that. I'M sure somebody was looking like oh girl. I think i can see you know you know. I just don't want to be that person that i want you to be that person either. Let'S make sure that if we are wearing wigs with leave out that they are properly blended - and i know for me wearing wigs that mimic my natural hair texture, you know that alleviates that problem you're not going to see me a type 4 baddie wearing type 2. U-Parts, like that's just not no, i don't do silky hair with my natural hair. I don't like straightening my natural hair, like that anyways. I don't like putting that much heat on my hair. So yeah, that's not this right! Here is a no we're not doing this. In 2022, if this has been you, we forgive you, let's leave it in the past. Let'S move on all right. Y'All. The next week trend that i'm dishing in 2022 is not a wig trend that i have participated in, but i see a lot of y'all doing it. I see a lot of y'all doing it on the yt. Let'S just talk about the v parts: okay, the v parts with no leave out. I get it right now. The girls will love the v parts because it's easy, but when you wear it with no leave out it's it's evident. The track is showing the weft is showing it just doesn't look good to me. So can we just stop? Can we please just leave a slow slip right here? Can we because i just think it looks a lot better? My girl xoxo shiva every time she speaks about this on tick tock. I just chuckle and smile because i agree with her. I just feel like it looks a lot better with the tiny bit of leave out and it doesn't require a lot, but i got ta. Give it up to my girl, kyra, shawn, okay, she has a video, i'm gon na link it down below, because i was impressed. She has a video where she did like crochet and it looked hella natural and she had no hair out. I was like you better. That'S my bit, you already know. I love me some kind. That'S my best friend go check out. Kai'S video. If you do feel like you, don't want to have no hair at all. Maybe you deal with hair, that's thinning in the crown area. Please check out her video. She did an excellent job outside of that. If you can't do what she did, please leave some leave out or don't do the v part wig at all, like that's just that's how i feel about it all right, y'all. So next on the list of wig trends that i'm ditching in 2022 or that y'all should consider ditching in 2022. I don't know how you're going to feel about this one, but i am so tired of seeing people put the word honest in their wig review titles. I, like literally, i could search on youtube right now, type in honest wig reviews, honest wig review. Oh my god! So honest, not sponsored! Unsponsored, honest, honest, honest, okay, so the rest of your content, dishonest. It just puts a bad taste in my mouth because one being an influencer, a content creator that prides herself on her integrity on bringing y'all the real deal on the truth, whether i like a product, whether i like a wig or not, it really grinds my gears When people feel like we're being dishonest now, look i understand that some of y'all have been burned. There have been people that have lied to you in the past or have kind of omitted the truth about certain things and they were paid to do it. So you feel like, oh, if a is getting paid out here, then you're not gon na get the real t well, if you're new to this channel, let you know right now. That is definitely not the case, regardless of whether something is sponsored or not. People that are here regularly know that i'm here to deliver the truth to you all whether it's packaged neatly or not. I just feel like when you're using the word honest in your titles, video after video after video - i don't like it, i don't like it at all and i guess people use it because honest is probably a buzzword and you know it'll gain traction when it comes To youtube: for those who are not content, creators titles are extremely important on youtube. It'S how it grabs your attention, titles and thumbnails together. That'S how we get y'all to click on our videos, so i think, using the word, honest, has become a buzzword, but the implications behind it really bother me. I don't like people thinking that, because i decide to work with a company and they pay me for it. That all of a sudden, i'm just gon na throw my morals out the window like. I just really don't like that, and i'm sorry, if you're, one of those people that have been burned by craters, who are like that, but honey find some new creators to follow. Okay, there's a slew of us out there that will make sure you have the tea so that you don't waste your point. That'S just how i feel about it. If you're honest, i don't feel like you need to constantly say it in your titles, in your reviews. Ciao, let me just let me just sit, let's speaking of honest, let's get honest about baby hairs, baby hairs and this this might cause y'all to want to touch with me a little bit and that's okay, because i don't mind again. The comments are open to have a conversation, if you like, with me or amongst each other, but this is a wig trend that it just bothers me. I don't like 80 of the baby hairs i see out here in the wig streets and 80 is a high number and i think, i'm being generous when i say that it might be 90. It'S not something i talk about. I think those who watch my tutorials just probably notice that i don't do baby hairs, but i just i'm just trying to understand right. So when you do the baby hairs, you are doing it for like a style right. I get it, but i just feel like it's too much baby hairs to me implies something that's very like fine and sparse, because traditionally, baby hairs are sparse. Hairs right, but i feel, like the girls are out here, putting full bangs and swooping it across their forehead and calling it baby hairs, and i'm just i just don't get it. I just don't. I just don't get it and i don't think i want to get it some people when they do the baby hairs. It looks a little artistic. It kind of gives me like josephine baker with little swoops and doopsy doops. I could kind of get with those, and then there are other people who do baby hairs that are very like sparse and they look like natural. But i learned like just last year that people use baby hairs to cover up their lace. And i i don't know that kind of confuses me because in my head, i'm just like you're making it look worse, maybe just get something that has better lace. You know what i mean. I don't know. I just don't feel like baby hairs is a solution to bad lace. You know find me in the comments if y'all want to, but that's just how i feel about it. If i were to do baby hairs, i would want them to be as light as possible because i just think it looks more natural. That'S just me. Some of y'all are here: y'all want to be on swim in the pool and i'm just not trying to have my baby hair swimming. Oh, i almost fell off my school yeah to each his own, but that's something that's been on my chest for a while, and i just be like girl, you know who does baby hairs to my liking, my boo kiera body by keira. I really like how she does hers, because that's just my stylistic preference but yeah. Let me know how do you feel about the baby hair trend? It'S been going hard for a long time and i kind of just wish it would end. You heard it here from me, i just i could say more, but i think i should stop right here, because this wine is starting to hit okay, but please share your thoughts on the baby hair trend down below. What is your preference? Do you like them, or do you wish they would just lay down and die? Let me know in the comments this next wig trend has been going hard for a hot minute. I want to talk about frontals, okay, and is this a wig trend that i'm ditching in 2022? I know y'all have noticed those who watch me regularly. I have not been wearing frontals this year. I did a u-part wig right and i've been doing these ponytails. I'Ve been doing like more natural styles. I will say that no, i'm not ditching frontals in 2022, but i'm peeping, something i see what's happening in the wig streets and it's it's been happening for a while now and i will say that people are definitely leaning towards more. I guess you could say just styles that require less work. Styles, that give like that sew in effect, without having to worry about laying down a full frontal lace. I just feel like that is something that's been trending and i think it honestly started with covid and the fact that headband wigs became so popular, especially for beginner wig wearers. Once people realize like wow, i can still wear a wig, protect my hair and not have to worry about what type of glue to use tint spray making it match, because it's it's a hard thing to do, especially as a beginner. It'S hard to make a frontal. Look natural, i think so i think once headbang way started trending and even though it's kind of simmered down now v part wigs are trending again another hairstyle. That does not require lace, so i just feel, like things are shifting a little bit in the wig streets and i wouldn't say that front tools are dead or anything like that. I still appreciate a good lace front or a frontal wig. I just think that the needs of the girls out here are changing. I think people are craving something that is easier to make look natural, especially if they're new to the wig game, and i just think with a frontal. It doesn't appeal to the needs of quite a few people right now. You let me know this is something that you've noticed in the wick streets. Please drop your comments again, i'm open to the discourse, let's talk about it, but this is something i've been peeping and i'm not totally mad at it. You know i like the way that the v parts have been looking. I think when you do have some leave out, i think it looks really good. I think it looks damn good but yeah, i don't think frontals are gon na be disappearing anytime soon. I just, i feel, like it's different. I feel like it's not as hardcore as it once was. I don't know what that means for the future of frontals, but these are just my thoughts y'all. Let me know if you agree or not all right. The next wig trend that i'm ditching in 2022 are harsh color transitions. Okay. This is something that i didn't really care about. I think when i first started wearing wigs and i'll, give you an example here: here's a wig - this is by model model, ev003 love the wig beautiful. I don't even know if you can find it anymore now, but the fact that i would just wear like a 1b and then a 27 with no transition whatsoever. That was ridiculous. I just don't think it looks good to me anymore. I'M really a fan of a more seamless blend and i will give that to a lot of the companies utree sensational preachers equal to they have done a much better job at creating color blends highlighted blends that look more natural, that look like a professional color job. I just don't like the stark contrast with you know, dark into light, especially with blondes with blondes. I think they deserve a softer roots and i actually do have a video where i did a platinum blonde wig and it was utrecht and i was toning, the wig, but i wanted to root it, but i'm not going to use a dark brown on platinum blonde. I'M just not going to do that. Can we not do that in 202? I don't want to see it anymore. I don't. I just used a very soft, extremely soft brown using um, my tint spray and i worked out well. So, that's something that i would like to see dissipate this year. Okay, next on the wig trends that i would love for us to ditch. In 2022, i talked about the harsh color transitions i want to talk about. The chunky highlights i personally, i'm just not a fan of super chunky highlights y'all. I, like my highlights to be thinner and more blended through. So i know right now. The skunk stripe, you know highlight thing, is a trend and i'm just not i'm just not really into it, i'm just not into it. I haven't seen it in a way where i'm like. Oh damn that looks good well, actually, my girl k aka takes pink. She did recently post a video. I haven't watched it, yet she did like uh. I think she did watercoloring with red and it looked really good on the thumbnail. She might change my mind, but as it stands right now, i'm not really into it. If it just went away, i wouldn't be mad i'll just say that all right last on my list of wig trends that you know might have to be ditched this year in 2022: oh wig caps. This is a hard one. Y'All, okay, i've been wearing wig caps for like seven years, but i just do not like how drying they are. My hair, my hair, like soaks, up moisture like a sponge, but it loses it at the same time so easily. I feel like i have to constantly moisturize my hair and with wig caps. It doesn't help it's so drying y'all. I hate it. It'S not something. I'Ve talked about ever on my channel, but it can't just be me. Does anyone else feel this way about wig caps? I just really wish it was made of a different material. Like can we do satin now mind you. I know that there are satin wig caps, but those are more so made for making wigs so they're thicker material. I just need a thin set material as a wig cap. That'S what i need. I'M not gon na make it can someone else do it and that way i can share it on my channel. I would love that when i say thin, i want to be thin as pantyhose like a wig cap, but just not as drying. I i just need something different other than the material. That'S on a wig cap, so in the interim, i'm not ditching it. Yet. In 2022, but i'm at the point where i would like to so yeah, i don't know: well some people actually don't even wear wig caps under their wigs people. Just you know, do their braids, but i think i'm so conditioned to wear one. It'S hard for me to just have my braids and then put on the wig. I don't know. Let me know your thoughts on this in the comments down below all right, y'all. Those are the 10 wig trends that i'm ditching in 2022.. What about you? Which trend did you agree with? Which ones did you disagree with, or maybe there's something that i didn't mention on my list that you're, like damn yo gladys like this needs to stop download down below? IsThatYourHairrr: **Check out the 10 Wig Trends I'm LOVING in 2022! **https://youtu.be/wDulYYTsuB4**

Lakeisha: I see the shift in wig trends too! Clip ins, tape ins, and micro links seem to be gaining more traction. I think people want more natural, effortless looks.

TheHeartsandCake90: This was awesome Gwladys! And funny. People gon tussle about the baby hairs but…yea it’s true lol I always mention Keira too when it comes to baby hairs. She does them in a perfectly subtle way. This was really great Gwladys! Thank you for sharing with us ❤️

cleverchic: I definitely agree with the frontal wig topic. I just got through telling my stylist friend how tired I am of the frontals & she agreed. I desire more effortless & natural. I want to get up & go. Not be a slave to a wig when I have more than enough hair on my head. And a lot of people I’m noticing saying the maintenance is too much as well.

Cheri461: AMEN to the '"baby hairs" trend! REAL 'baby hairs' are NOT 3 and 4 inches LONG. Can we at LEAST call them what they REALLY are- 'decorative' hairs? Also, thick "baby hairs" absoultely SCREAMS wiggy wig-wig. Team 'Lay down and DIE', I'm HERE for you!

LikeNoOther251: Had to drop a comment with the baby hairs ! thought I was the only one I hate this adult hair trend cause ain’t nothing baby about em lol.. PLEASE MAKE IT STOP !!!

Madame Blackimus Prime: The laid baby hair trend is something I JUST NOTICED and Lord it's a whole pandemic by itself. I prefer wigs that blend more with my natural baby hairs.

Jessica Virgo: I really feel you with the harsh transitions. I'd also like to see more peekaboo or highlight colors as an option. Oh and can we PLEASE bring back more natural length wigs??? I'm so over these 30+ inch wigs.

Jenei: As a stylist I see things a bit different. I can do the same style on two different people with the same exact technique and it hits different. I don’t think that some of these are all completely “ditchable”. I just believe not everyone can carry a style/trend well. People tend to see something and just wanna wear it cause everyone else is. What’s for you will be for you.

Monique Rice: I knew exactly what was coming but I clutched my pearls anyway, lol! I'm probably taking my baby hairs all the way to the grave but I I do agree that they can get excessive. Excited to hear your favorite trends

Kie RaShon: I just got rid of got2be. I was struggling to let her go, but ebin got me now! I also realized that I cannot swoop, I swish. Swish my hairs and I am good. Swoops just don't fit me lol

DeAnna Monet TV: Gwladys!!! You really had me laughing with this video Harsh color transitions, excessive baby hair and leaving those braids in for weeks are getting ditched this year!!! Enjoyed your energy as always

Schatze Lady: Thank you for this review I hate when they plaster the hair on their foreheads. If the girls get their real hair done , you won't see slick hairs on their forehead. If the lace is invisible, no need for slick hairs.

Brie: This is an example of great content! You have excellent charisma, such a cute giggle! Well thought out list! Ive NEVER been with wig spray adhesive, or the bald cap, minimal baby hairs are awesome, i love the skunk strip she-go vibe ngl

Breeyawna Hinton: V-part wigs with no leave out? I didn't know it was a trend, but your commentary was hilarious. And about baby hairs? I HATE when they're just floating on the forehead; like where is the hair even coming from? Small swoop or just a sleek look for me. People are going to look back in a few years and be horrified.

Latrice Michelle: Great video! I enjoyed this so much! You gave us a good list and I agreed with everything you mentioned. Not a fan of the excessive baby hairs. I prefer a few nice subtle swoops lol. I guess it just comes down to preference. Frontals is a beast that I haven’t tamed. It’s alot of work and intimidating to a beginner like me. Closures are definitely a preference for me. I’m here for a natural and seamless color blend and agree with your thoughts on the wig caps. I would love to see a wig trends you’re loving video.

IamMonica: I'm with you on most of these especially the baby hairs! Some looks like slicked down bangs! I'm ditching the hard ass lace front wigs (I sure I should've down this a while ago). Also you may be on to something about the wig cap. I wear them all the time and that's probably I have thin edges.

Jaleela Samuel: I definitely want a satin nylon wig cap! I usually put leave-in conditioner on my hair before putting the wig cap on, which helps.

Blackberry- Rose: Great video. I totally agree with your list and I feel the same way especially about the baby hair I’m fine with maybe sparse swoops, but when it looks like lattice that you put around your garden in your yard it is completely tacky I definitely wish this trend would go away. I’m here for the headband wigs, v and u part wigs I feel you on wanting a natural style instead of a frontal. Tyfs

A. Kennedy: Omg!! You hit on some of the things that grinds my gears too. Baby hair have become second eyebrows. I suffer from hair loss but I have a few natural baby hairs on the right and I swoop them. I also do not like the drastic hair color placement. I prefer a smooth blend also. The wig cap ditching is something to look into. I drench my hair in oil so it won't dry out then wonder why my wig slides off. ‍♀️

Mimi Moments: The stylists are catching on and the sew-in prices is going up! I love frontals but I hate dealing with "frontal hair stylists" so I've learned to finesse my own install. However I cannot do my own sew-in. We're entering another dark era. I might just skip & go back to making my own upart wigs again.

JaiChanellie: I'm sorry I can't get past this PUFF I know it's a wig but I also cannot believe it's a wig. You prove your name EVERYTIME!

IsThatYourHairrr: Let me go take off my earrings before the tussel starts *How do we feel about this list? Do you agree or disagree?* Drop a comment, and let's chat! *And be sure to show love to all of my wig baes I mentioned in this video!*

Kasseopia Davis: I loved this video! First I had to get rid of my Got 2 Be Spray and already added Ebin to the cart on Amazon. You came for me but I needed it lol. I’m so happy you addressed this baby hair saga. I’ve NEVER been a fan. It was never for me. I’m like baby’s don’t even have baby hairs lol. Love your content and everything that you do. Great work

alicia williams: Girl you are to funny! I love the v part wig got it in my natural hair and I do the smallest leave out I love it

Delia Joseph: Thank you so much for this video, I thought I was the only one, alot of these hair trends is just not it, but for some reason, alot of people are doing it ......And I actually have 3 more that I think is ridiculous 1. Extra long hair that goes pass your butt or to your knees ( I don't get it, is that supposed to be attractive) 2. Putting makeup on your lace ( very unsanitary) 3. Putting 2 and 3 layers of glue on your hairline ( I know it doesn't affect some people, but for the rest..... I can imagine the breakouts, because your skin is clogged by the glue)

Stella Rose: I like a little bit of baby hairs so it appears natural - most people definitely do way too much and more often than not it looks a bit ridiculous Edit: Holy cow, I thought I was the only one that felt that the wig caps are drying! I have tried wearing wigs without the wig caps and it seriously snags the mess out of my hair

Merrybandoruffians: Sometimes I’ll wear a durag under my wigs instead of a wig cap. The material isn’t really “satin” but it seems to be gentler on the hair. You just have to be careful about tucking the strings (and helps that I have a peanut head so my wigs are always a little too big in the back anyway)

Miss Vida: Extreme baby hairs, white or extremely yellow under eye highlighter, lace fronts in general needs to be left in 2021.

Emeth: Thank you for this video. I never liked the baby hairs. I have natural ones and can't stand them. People have just gone crazy with them. You are so right about all the things that you are ditching. I agree with you on all of them.

Yolanda Downs: Gwladys I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Thank you for the suggestions, ordering the Ebin spray today! Also find housewarming gifts for my friend (wine pourer). Appreciate you sweetie.

Catherine St Croix: "I don't do baby hairs". Now you have a new subscriber. Your video was very enjoyable and informative.

1ycj: This has been one of The funniest videos I’ve watched in a long time. Especially about the V part and the notorious Baby hairs. You had me laughing so hard, I had to literally catch my breath to control my laughing fits as well as my crying historically at the same time. The killing part when you speak about these issues you have a very soft spoken tone that makes what trends you are ditching even more funny. You should really consider being a comic as a side hustle because I see you as being a big hit with these topics.

Sakita Clark: The baby hairs is a must go!!!! I love closure wigs, over frontals!

aspynj_: Watching as a locked girl! I never really understood weave (hence why I am now locked haha) but it’s fun to learn about them!! Love your video sis!

It’s ya girl Ana: Honestly I think we need to leave silky straight hair behind in general. Yaki straight is so much more natural. At least to me

Vibing With Kia TV: Hey hey yes everyone loves the freeze spray. I never tried it, but I’m happy to know that ppl have a new option✨

Charlene S: Thank you so much for addressing baby hairs!!!!! They look tragic!

Cheryl Washington: Baby hairs are ridiculous some girls are so over the top with that mess. #Nocuteatall Love this tutorial! Much needed and I agree with you on all but the wig cap it makes me feel I’m protecting my hair❤️ What’s good for 2022?

Andrea Sweet: OMG thank you for this commentary it literally is so enlightening. I decided to shave my hair because I had surgery on my right shoulder and will also have one on my left and will be unable to care for my hair. I will do simple complete wig installs that are simple and easy to upkeep. Any tips you can provide to help me keep a fresh and natural look will be helpful!

Aisha Sophia: LOVE the truths! Newly subscribed sis I'm trying to do my thing with wigs to protect my natural hair but I want a more natural look but haven't found anyone who I feel, feels me. Really enjoyed the tips, keep the "honesty" coming boo. I'm also an Accountant thinking about starting my own YT channel so sticking around to hear more of your story and see more of your content.

C.D: Girl, I am over those EXTRA baby hairs! Leave that for fashion shows! I also prefer natural-looking hairstyles. However, I am not ditching my Got2Be glue spray for my ponytails! You lost me on that lol!

Summer Breeze: Awesome wig trends. I agree with all of them. Never cared for baby hairs, if so very minimal. I would like the wig cap in a satin material as well, never liked the stocking cap, Thanks for the products update!

Angelique Graham: I seen this on IG when you first post it but I’ve been so busy didn’t get a chance to comment till now. Baby hair has worked my nerves since the 90’s. I was so glad when that trend went away. So imagine my disappointment when it came back harder and worse than before. I’m a 4 c baddie with full edges my daughter actually told me I was just mad because I didn’t have any edges. And when wig wearers use it to hide the lace when it is literally hundreds of videos telling how to do that makes just shake my head. My hair holds moisture so wig caps are my friend. My hair will get stuck in the wig so it’s a must have. But you and my daughter have me dying talking about leave out. Y’all both be like Sis just put it up.

Kefilwe Sebolai: I am liking the 5x5, 6x6 & 7x7 closures, becuase you dont have to lay-down the entire area, the sides are especially hard to lay down.

Carrie Harrell-Payton: I didn't catch the live, but I caught it! I could get down with some of the list! I was shook with nappy straight v part!!! I had no idea anyone wore a wig like that!! It was a very fun and informative video. I loved it!

Monet: This video was necessary!!! I definitely hate wig caps, but like you said I'm conditioned to wear them. They make my hair so dry no matter what I put on it.

Blackbird : I love these takes! I think with the skunk stripe trend I like it. I used to wear a burgundy one years ago. I think im with you because its getting played. I think we have seen it soo much over the past 2 years its just getting over exposed. I like that you showed a cute alternative. It just seems like the go-to now for people trying to give off a look that isnt their true style. I get it. OMG I felt so alone on the wig cap thing. My hair also gets tangled soo bad after wearing them!

Stilllookingood58: Ooh gurl you know I am NOT the one when it comes to baby hairs but yes I use them to cover bad lace lol! Thats why I prefer Outre LF and MH rather than PH. Maybe if I was really good at it but I get lazy and impatient! I will be rockin mostly ponies and HB wigs this summer, along with my natural hair.

Sonia Michelle: Great video! Totally agree on the Got2b spray. It would be good to hear your thoughts on the butterfly loc & braided wig trends to. I'm order some of the Ebin now to see how it holds up.

Queentina Doire: I cannot stand the baby hair madness. Ladies the key word here is BABY! Repeat after me: BABY!!! A GROWN WOMAN IS NOT A BABY!!! The U part with no leave out is insanity

Brittany Davis: Made me laugh on a rough night ❤️ thank you hope you keep thriving !

Darnise Jennings: nailed it on every topic, I’m completely over the lacewigs and excessive baby hair My husband even notices it when we are out together which is sad !!!

heavenleiblu: OMG the forehead fingerwaves aka baby hairs have been vexing me forever. I'm not much of a wig girl so I'm glad to see someone who is--finally calling it out. Talking bout covering up the lace. Chile they're a neon sign pointing to your porch screen lace. Whew. I cannot wait until the unnecessary baby hairs go away.

Inside Marie's Head: Great video. you had me dying laughing with the whole baby hair discussion. As for thevwig cap. I hate them lol. I have low density and thin hair and I have a small head also so I don't need to wear them to hold my hair down as flat as possible but I wear them sometimes depending on the wig Color and cap construction. You know in case the wind blows haha Really enjoyed this video as your personality came through like hanging out on a girl's night vibe.

sharay85281: OMG!! Girl! You hit it on the head about the wig caps!! They really dry out my hair also i hate it lol i do hope a satin wig cap gets made somehow lol

Dupes To You: Love this!! I have never been a fan of the baby hairs so cheers to that!!!

Yliana Palmer: I saw your short video on IG and found it on Amazon I got 3 cans for about $20 it comes this week so thank you I'm still learning about doing my wigs and wearing them and I love it.

M K: One thing I will say is bad are the perfect parts. That is a dead give away, because even ppl with that straight texture that wear their hair down don't have perfect parts, neither do ppl who blow their hair out and get pressed. That is a big give away especially if the part is so perfect and spaced out it looks kinda unnatural and I always clock it as a wig.

Holla At The KI D: I like tasteful baby hairs. Its the folks brushing hair from the nape of they neck to they forehead that’s giving the wig girls a BAD name! If half the wig is stuck to your forehead and slicked flat with edge control waffling aggressively at the eyebrow and it’s not a 1990’s side swoop, you need an ole school spanking. That’s just out and out bad behavior.

De Ma: You are such a sweetheart! You touched on all points! This should be a Universal video message to all us true Brown Sisters! Thank you!

shelia926: Gladys - girl I know I could count on you to give it good with some of the wig trends - but there's one that wig influencers do after getting a certain number of subscribers - let me explain they start with keeping affordable then the get into the double digit thousands and now the human hair vendors are noticing and start sending them wigs - which I do love - but what gets me is they show a nice wig - then mention a discount code - but when you go to the wig site - the damn cost about $150-$300 and all you getting is a 5% or 10% discount code - WTF?? this aint even going to cover the taxes or shipping on the wig ??? That is one of the reasons I rock with your channel - the $20 Tuesdays - and yes you do human wigs but you dont leave out your subs that can afford a $200 - $300 wig with $20 or $30 off - show me something discount code be 20% or more - but hell I'm going to be honest, I'm not buying a $100 $150 or more wig, unless you have a hair issue like alopecia or something else then yes, not for the everyday wig - I'm not a beginner but I am not bleaching knots, rod setting and blow drying a wig - aint the reason to wear wigs is for the easiness of it ??? Why in the hell would I buy a wig to do all that too when I could just do it to my own hair - that never made since to me????

Nafiysa Muhammad: I love the clip in thing I use it for my buns and things like that. I needed to find an alternative to wigs because it was actually pulling my edges out from the combs

Carmen Curillo: Great video. Got a new subscriber! I'm a real novice at wigs but I've started to wear them because of thinning hair. I wish I could do what I see these expert YouTubers do, but I lack time, energy and expertise to do it, oh and the money ... some are just crazy expensive. I saw the V-part and U-part wigs and wondered if they were for me. Any suggestions? Baby hairs, HAH! I have thinning adult hairs, I think some look good but others‍... I do admire all of you who can slay and make it look effortless. It's too hard for me...

Blackbird : I have the EBIN! As a heavy sweater it really holds! Can you tell me how to avoid the white residue? Am I applying too thick layers? am I not using enough? I cant seem to avoid it. I love that you added the exceptions in your critiques like when you mentioned people with possible thinning when it comes to the v-part. Very thoughtful. I want people to also ditch making fun of people for not having the best skills/edges. There's a difference betweeen someone coming outside in a party city wig vs someone who just didnt "lay" a few hairs perfectly. I say just teach, or offer advice instead of mocking someone. Ive had it done to me while I was in between styles, and I see it a lot online. I have self awareness, Im just not going to lay my 4c hair sometimes.

Chantal Lolive: On point ! Thank you for the great content . I’m gonna give you a pass on the lashes for the moment but I aspect growth in that area before 22 is over .

Ashley Thompson: omg ive felt this for a long time about the gel gooped “baby hairs” i just never understood it. as someone with real baby hairs naturally without gel. this trend looks nothing like real baby hair i dont what the hell it is

Lauren Brake: I’m so happy you spoke up about the baby hair. IT IS NOT HIDING THE LACE Y’ALL!

Jaded Butterfly: Yes you’re right, it’s a Game changer! Love the robe!

Alexis Massenburg: I really appreciate this video. I’m really at a cross roads because I have very long hair but it shrinks to my neck it drives me crazy. So I wanted clip ins to keep my hair long but I really just don’t want the damage. I love a good wig but I’m thinking maybe I should just wear my natural hair. Do you think vparts are damaging? Definitely looking into those!

Vicky Johnson: I agree with ALL 10 drops and do take care of ur hair under wigs. Thank you❤

Silky Saks: Love the rob. I have to try the black bottle and taking care of your hair underneath is so important. Leave out not blended is a no for me too. I do like baby hair but not on wigs and not with a ton of it. I like the skunk and color trends but I like bold wigs . Great video

bevielle: Girl thank you so much. I wish you could hear me clapping, especially about the baby hairs. I was cracking up. I had the same feeling. I don't understand it! Don't know any baby that had that kind of hair - LOL

BLUE 0610: Thank you for your videoI am not use to wear wigs but I just purchased a “good” one that cost me $200! I didn’t even know they were so expensive but I wanted to use a 100 % hair. Now I’m stacked with this wig because the place I purchased it from told me the cost to install it is $120! What?! I may sound cheap but if I would of know that installation of a week was going to take so much work and money. I would never buy a wig! I am very new at this so I started to watch YouTube videos about it & now I’m just thinking it cost less money to do my own hair at the salon than wearing a wig! Sorry for sounding so ignorant but like I said I’m new at this. I am Latina but my hair is curly and sometimes I’m too lazy to do it myself and since I live in Florida it doesn’t last long if I go to a salon. Any advice on the best wig type?

It’s Joey Here Again!: I feel like ditching the whole wigs themselves sis at this point lmao but I do enjoy switching up my style

Ren: I loathe this new baby hair trend! Love the baby hairs that look natural

Jen: Yes as time goes on we all evolve and learn how to do things in a better way that works for us. I love it. I dabble in everything whats life without experience

Vee S.T-Rob: I just bought a vpart wig and l did her method and its very nice! on getting lots of compliments.

Sammy Da Goat: Your Hair Videos Are Everything You Never Disappoint

StarriSkye: Yes 10 trends you're loving. I agree about leave out I used to always wear my sew ins with leave out with no problem it blended well and never broke off. But after closures became a thing I stopped doing them. I tried it a few weeks ago and could not keep it blended. I'm back to closures I can not do it! Yes baby hairs are bangs now. I love styles with sleek smooth edges. Or the new wigs I've seen with type 4 hair edges. Chunky highlights have always been blah

Kila A: A hairstylist used Got2B spray to seal my braids before she put in locs, I haven’t seen a split end in over a month . I hardly used it before so now I’m hopping on the train lol

K R: I am soooo with you on these girl especially that baby hair mess! But people are VERY dishonest in some of these videos when they want you to click those affiliate links

Daie H: For the baby hairs, some use it to cover the lace like you said. Others, kinda like me, use it to help shape your hairline. I only like it lightly though and I have a low hairline but massive forehead . Oh, another reason for them is that some ppl actually have natural heavy baby hairs. For them it works. But yes, most of these baby hairs are too much. Frontals, folks with alopecia, with it drastic in the front, need frontals. I'm one of those ppl too. Chiiiiiiile I got issues

sonic798: I agree with every one of these. However, I have some notes I thought of while watching this. (Sorry in advance for the lengthy comment) Unblended leave out is my biggest hair extension/wig pet peeve. In the year 2022, with the unlimited hair options of texture and thickness, there's ABSOLUTELY no reason for unblended leave out. So the point of v parts was to basically be like a modern take on the invisible part style of the mid to late 2000s into 2010s. The ones I've seen have always had lace near the part and there's a specific blending technique for it. As for the crochet leave out method, I remember seeing Pure Estrogen doing something really similar on here YEARS ago. Baby Hair on wigs was originally meant to camouflage the lace back when lace quality wasn't the best. Now, I feel like it's very much an aesthetic choice and I give so much praise to those who can do it. But I agree a MAJORITY of these baby hair styles are kinda gawdy. I'm trying to be more regular about taking down my wig prep braids but between life and laziness, it's hard. I have been trying the wash in cornrows method and it works well for a scalp refresh. I'm jealous of those who can pull of skunk stripe/ color patches. I want companies to come out with better rooted options in a variety of lace sizes. My main issue with frontal is ear tabs/ sideburn lifting. Just because of how most people faces move naturally, it's the first part to lift. I love a good closure wig especially a 5×5 or larger. I had the issue of frontal sliding back, but with the being spray and a Velvet Wig grip band, that's fixed. Also I DESPISE the bald cap method.

Margie Prillman: I'd live to see a video of the wig trends you are loving in 2022!!

Pyt G: I so enjoyed this video! Can't wait to see the trends that you're ing. I'm just in awe of this ponytail and that wine pourer...! Tfs

HEЯOINE: This is my first time watching you and the way you link EVERYTHING in your description. Like finding you is A BLESSING!

Ronni j: I have NEVER worn a frontal or any wig that requires glue or anything not for me i love the simple, healthy headband wigs and simple units....thanks for sharing the more simple and easy units

1ycj: The more I view this video the funnier it is. All points were on point I personally cannot were braids no longer than 3 weeks at most. And that’s stretching it. My hair actually webs up , like grows on to another braid. Plus being tenderheaded it’s no joy trying to take the braids out whew! Point 2. You mentioned about the v part. That was hilarious. I don’t know anything about this bc I don’t wear wigs yet but I’m studying how to properly apply them. But u know the funniest is baby hair bangs. That’s the best, and u made your point on point! Bravo to u Chicagolove your content! Plz keep it up.

Tra-Aun Green: I will say, I have a glueless wig (yeah I’m not messing with the glue at ALL) and I’ve had braids and put it on without a wig cap. Personally, I don’t have an issue with it considering it stays on my braids and it doesn’t hurt. And the baby hairs…I’m only all for NATURAL looking baby hairs, the ones that you showed in the video are so cringe to me! This was a great video!

ZarZarGalore: This was absolutely on point ! I loved watching this !

Champagne Rene: Girl thank you for trying that foil remover out bc I would have made a damn fool of myself

Tabatha Davis: You are so funny and keeping it real! By the way, your skin looks amazing!

Barbretta Evans: Hello! I enjoy your channel very much and I am happy that I subscribed. I’m kind of going off topic but I have a question. I’m in my late 50’s and I decided a year ago to embrace my gray hair. I normally wear my hair natural but I like to change it up from time to time especially on Date Night with my fiancé. Where can I find cute gray wigs that don’t make me look like a church lady?(no disrespect)Thank you in advance for your help.❤️

Miss Khrissy: Catching the replay! This is funny you are mentioning the got to be freeze spray! i have no idea why we loved this spray I have a video comment out tomorrow on my top wig adhesive sprays! I have breaks in between my braids too now… I do no cornrows for a week or too now for a break I agree stretching makes a difference. This video is so funny so far

Tacha's Society: Gurllll!! I was in tears !! I always hated gots to be, but I never can find anything better or not too harsh for my natural hair.. I finally transitioned to one that help hold my wigs… Gurl I always said these baby hairs are out of control… I hate wig caps I hate it Sis I love you but I love the skunk look whyyyy???? don’t you like it whyyyy I am trying to convince you to like it

Alecia Rones: I like the bed head spray. I have been trying out the ebin. I like it because you don't have to blow dry it along time. It gets tacky quick.

NubianHoney: GIRL! I missed the live because I forgot I had class tonight, but I made sure to take some time out of studying to show you some love and see what's good out in these wig streets. Because of nursing school, I haven't been up on anything really. I can't wait until I graduate in May so I can be myself again with my hair. You and I have talked about the baby hair situation so many times so you know what side I'm on lol! My pet peeves still have more to do with the wig companies than the wig wearers themselves. It is 2022, SHOW US ALL THE COLORS ON A MODEL OR MANNEQUIN! Especially those proprietary colors like "Fx765-light chartreuse grey." I can say they are getting better but still have so far to go. Not really a trend, but on my nerves forever!

Lulu: I love this video. I laughed through the whole thing!

Desmonde Hoppie: You have great wig content. Baby Hairs Need To Go! Also more subtle color transitions.
