Today, we're going to be talking about 26 things, I learned in my 20s because I just turned 26 and yeah. Let'S just get straight into it. Whilst I do my wig so before we do anything, we always have to shout out the sponsor hello. Thank you. So much Beauty forever hair. So the box came like this. Obviously the wig came inside, but I bleached a lot, but let's talk about what else is inside the Box. You get wig cap and they give you this cute package like they have all this stuff inside. Oh, my God, they got a makeup brush, so obviously it's Autumn winter and the best colors to have an awesome winter really and truly is any color. I think you can work any color any time of this season, but usually a lot of people love to do a ginger. So this is a 13 by 4 lace front, as you can see, HD Lace by the way 33b color wig - and this is in 26 inches um. I didn't put any product or anything in it, literally bleached, nuts and washed it out, and it looks and feels great by the way. If the sun goes down, we will get some lights now. I didn't have time to actually like pluck the hairline and I don't think it's that bad, if anything, I'll pluck it. Whilst it's on today we're going to be talking about 26 things, I learned in my 20s because I just turned 26 and yeah. Let'S just get straight into it, whilst I do my wig, so first things. First in your 20s, this is the time this is the time to up your relationships, your friendships, your jobs, your degree, anything anything. This is the best time right now to so don't put stress on yourself, because, like trust me, I'm making mistakes in your 20s is what we're here to do we're finding ourselves. We are literally like this is the most important time in your life. I feel so. Don'T feel pressured to have everything perfect in your 20s trust me: you're wasting a lot of time, you're, probably most likely going to make loads of mistakes, and it's fine. You can make mistakes throughout your whole life, but your 20s is the best time to do that, because you kind of have like time and resources to like fix them. For example, if you f up, I don't know in a relationship or a job, you have enough time to like go find like what it is that you really want to do. You know what I mean so 20s is the time to just have fun and make mistakes and learn more about yourself number two. It is never too late. So when I say it's never too late, literally, you can become whatever the hell you want. I believe that it's never actually too late for anything. It can be anything you want at any age, but like in your 20s, I feel, like I've learned that, just because you didn't like perfect the craft in your teens, you can do it in your 20s, because some people feel like it's too you're, too old. To do things at 2145, 26 and 17, 18 to 9 30, like it's actually never too late and yeah. I don't know why, like I feel like. Sometimes you feel like you're running out of time in your early 20s, but trust me it's never too late to like do anything that you want like. I thought I could put a lot of pressure pressure on ourselves because the society for, like our lives, figured out in our 20s, and I don't know why that is number three is a big one for me, because I feel like I'm still, we've been doing this In order to kind of have a successful life, I feel like you kind of need to act as though you are doing things for your future self. For example. The me today did not want to go to the gym, but I know the future me needs to go to the gym. That is what she does, that is who she is um. She wakes up at a certain time, like I already know what my future self wants and needs in this life, but the earlier today might not feel like it, which is why I feel like motivation is garbage, because consistency is everything when you start thinking about your Future self you're, just like okay, let me edit this video or let me um, go to this event or let me go attend this meeting or um. Let me go to the gym, because I know my future self is relying on me. It sounds like a lot of pressure, but it's not she's. Your friend he's your friend, so just kind of like do what your future self would do, because that's who you're trying to step into if that makes sense, you are never gon na be prepared. So if you land a job end up pregnant or you are like in a doing a big move across the world, you're never going to be prepared, I don't think you're ever prepared for anything in life, so you might even think you're prepared, but you're. Not so you may will just go ahead and do it. Oh, let's just accept that this is what's happening. Don'T feel scared to step into this new chapter and stop worrying about whether you're prepared or not, I would say everyone needs to read the book. Five. Second rule by Mel Robbins, because that is one thing that definitely had a huge impact on um achieving a lot of my goals. So if you don't want to read it basically, the the principle of the five second rule is basically to act within five seconds. So, for example, if you struggle to get off bed in the morning, you count down like a rocket is about to. You know go into space like five four three, two one and then you get up and you do something because in your brain, it's like she talks a lot about the prefrontal cortex and how it makes you want to just do that action. I don't know, but I do a lot for myself like when I'm in the gym and stuff, I'm just like okay, we're gon na do this last rep and then like our five four three, two one it down. So I finished to the end and it just really really helps like I said waking up in bed instead of like going on your phone or like procrastinating or thinking. Oh, my God, I'm so tired, five or three to one and you just get up just just make that be the first step just get up and do something like if you struggle to wake up or whatever it really really works. I can't even explain to you how much that book has helped me. I just recommend you to read it number six live with your parents as long as possible, and I say this because the pressure of like having all your together in your 20 was ridiculous. To me, especially if you haven't got many responsibilities like if you haven't, got a car, kids you're, not married um, and if you haven't got a job, it's actually okay and I think it'd be best to just live with your parents. And I forget what the hell you want to do if you have have the opportunity anyway, if you don't live in a toxic environment, live with your parents as long as you can save money and then make your move number seven stop waiting on your friends! Now. I'Ve done this a lot in my life in my teens and in my 20s like have you ever felt that you wanted to do something whether it was a trip? Um go on a trip or, I don't know, start a class in something or try out a new restaurant or whatever. Sometimes we tend to just like wait on other people. I don't know why we do that. We just end up. You know asking our friends. Oh, my god, let's go to this place and sometimes your friends be busy right pretty so because you know people can be busy, people have their own lives. I get it, but you shouldn't stop yourself from doing something. Just lose your friend con like. If you really want to go to Greece and you've been like you and your friend have been saying, yeah, let's go every summer for five Summers: hon just book the trip yourself. If you can - and you can't waste your time waiting on other people, you're gon na miss out on life and that that friend might not ever go so what you're just not going to go to Greece babe book the ship and go by yourself, learn how to Be independent number eight. Nobody actually cares what you're doing to do it anyway. I feel like a lot of people, especially when it comes to the gym. For some reason, when I talk to like a few of the girls, they say um, they feel the pressure of you know being looked at in the gym or feel like everyone is judging them, but we literally no one gives an arm. No like she cares. You can go out on the street and, like scream your head off, people are going to look at you for 10 seconds or, however long you're screaming and then go about their life. No one's actually. Thinking about you. I feel like we're so eager to have a number so self-centered, that we think that everyone is thinking what we're thinking or in our heads, but we don't really know and give a damn stop. Comparing yourself to other people, just stop it. Their story is different to yours for a reason, you should know that we're all here for different reasons. You should not be worrying about anyone else other than yourself, so don't ever be that girl or guy to be like why him or her are not me. There is more than enough space for everyone on this Earth and honey. You are special for a different reason to why the other person is special, okay and don't ever like, feel intimidated. Like I see a lot of videos of people saying that wow like when you go to Miami you'll, get humble, I don't ever feel like, I could ever feel insecure in a room of in a room with other females, because I'm just not like, I don't get Intimidated by other people, because I generally just believe in myself - and I think that's a very important skill for everyone to have like you - should never ever compare yourself to other people. You look like how you look like because you look how you look like and you should love how you look inside and out honey. Okay, stop worrying about other people. Stop comparing followers money, looks clothes that doesn't even matter so you have full control over the story that you write for yourself. Now you don't have full control over your life. You can't control whether something is going to happen to you or not. But you know what you can't control. You can control your reaction and it's up to you how you want to react in this life. It'S up to you. How you want to you know, write the next chapter of your life, like it's really up to you. If something drastic has happened to you and a big life changes happen or whether it has anything to do with health wealth relationships or whatever, what are you gon na do next? Do you know what I mean like this is your chapter that you are the main character? Is this where you just remain depressed? What'S gon na happen, are you going to be upset for two weeks and then you know start mapping out your plan to be a different person? Are you gon na change, your hair? Are you gon na cry yourself to sleep for 40 nights in a row? What'S gon na happen? What'S the next story, because this movie it's getting boring, do you know I mean you used to think of your life like an actual movie and write it out? So what's what's the next? Do you know how you do you know when you watch a movie, you watch a series, you know something crazy is gon na happen. That'S just life, something crazy is gon na happen, but then it always works out in the end. So how so this crazy thing has happened, but, okay, what's next? How are you gon na write your chapter? Because if you are the director or you are the writer, so you get it so paint your picture, stick to it and make this story better. Now it's easier said than done, okay easier said than done, but I think it's definitely something to think about, because sometimes sometimes we forget that we have a lot of control on what the next steps are. You know a lot of the things that do happen. So the big drastic thing that's happened to you: it's either a lesson or a blessing. So don't ever forget that you are just going through something for a better course and I'm trying not to be insensitive like because I've had a lot of things happen to me. But I really do look at life like that. I genuinely feel like everything in life is a blessing or a lesson. Okay and sometimes those lessons are hard and crazy, and you have a why me moment: trust God, like if you're a spiritual, trust, God. One thing I learned for sure is the hair: does everything so invest into your friendships, future Aaliyah here, I'm so sorry? I was actually rushing in this video because I had a podcast to attend, but I actually didn't go into depth as to why Sisterhood is very important, and I want to make my point now because, like I like, I said it's very important so having the right People around you having the right team around you is so key to getting far in life, not even like career-wise or anything like that. But just look for your soul. Sisterhood is almost as important as a relationship, if not even more important, because having the right people around you to keep you grounded to make sure you're going in the right direction. People that inspire you, people that are like-minded, is so important. It keeps you grounded. It keeps you happy, it keeps you whole and I just highly recommend you to make sure that people around you are genuine full of love and light and a place that you can call home so yeah degree or not job or not house or not relationship or Not you're doing just fine, like I said being in your 20s, is a lot of pressure and I feel like it comes a lot from the internet. You might see something some people see stuff and they feel type of weight, and sometimes it's not even intentional. Sometimes they feel they feel a type of way because it like you, feel like you're behind, but you're, not babe, get off the internet and touch some grass bait you're doing all right with that being said, the next thing that I also learn is that you can Start over as many times as you want. Oh you didn't get the job. You wanted. You'Ve changed jobs six times over the past year, like you're gon na get there in the end. So I don't know why you're stressing out babe, don't you worry girl? Don'T you worry all these lessons that you're learning and all these shops that you got might be preparing you for where you need to be and you're learning things as you go because, like I said, everything is a lesson or a blessing. It even includes something as simple as just being at the wrong job. It'S gon na teach you things that you're not gon na realize. Until later, you can start over as many times as you want, or you might feel like. Oh, my God, I graduated, and I have this degree, but I actually don't want it. I did this for my parents and I absolutely hate law. I hate law so much. I actually really and truly just want to be a YouTuber. To be honest, like I just want to be an influencer, I'm not really into law, I mean I like it, but it's so freaking hard. I work so hard in Union was fine like when there was freshers and stuff, but like I worked my ass off and I ended up hating it. I got depression in uni and now I've graduated my parents are actually over the Moon. I mean it looks good on social media that I posted it, but now that I'm here and I go into work every day - I don't like it and I want an easier life and this is actually harder than I thought, and I don't think it's worth my Time because I'll be depressed at 50 years old and the job that I hate that I did for my parents, do you know what I mean so just like you're, always gon na have that feeling babe? If you want to do something in your heart and your soul, that feelings, I'm gon na go away and, as the time goes on, you're wasting time like worrying about it rather than doing something about it, because you're scared that I'm 30 years old, I can't like Start fresh now like what me 30 and be on YouTube. No way like my peers are gon na laugh at me or like this is silly like I have a whole. You know life in healthcare. Why would I want to be on YouTube like just anything? It could be anything but darling, you can do it, you can absolutely do it trust and believe me, it is not too late. So just stop start now. Okay, you guys. I had to rush off to a podcast feature, so I just have to quickly. Like put my home and print it out, but we're gon na finish this off, because I still have some stuff that I learned in my 20s. The 15th lesson is that it's okay to outgrow people, that can be your friends, your family, the person you're in a relationship with like it's actually, okay to outgrow them, because Listen People Change um. The people you met when you were 15 are not going to be the same people. You know when you're 25., you know I mean people change, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse and either way it's gon na be fine, whether that relationship or friendship continues or not. You'Re gon na be fine, you're gon na be just fine and it can be hard man letting go of people and having to say your goodbyes or like they're touching on whatever you want to choose best. Sometimes it's needed man. It'S really really needed. Number 16.. Listen to your guts, I can't explain to you how important that is, because, let me say something you will know whenever you're in a bad situation, wherever Something Bad Can Happen, whenever you feel dodgy about someone whenever you have dreams, whenever you have dreams, listen in dating And friendships and family everything all relationships with jobs with colleagues, everything listen to your gut, because you've got all know. Your gut is literally your second brain. I don't know what happened with the recording, but number 17 was actually put yourself first, and I think that is just it just says it in itself just put yourself first and everything in life, because you should be the most important person in your life. Um and yeah I'll just keep it short and sweet like that, but yeah we'll move on to number 18. go on as many First Dates as you can literally, because I feel like a lot of people. Just do to my experience. Like hearing a few of my friends stories, a lot of people just stay stuck on one person for so long when there's actually so many fish in the sea. So I just think in your 20s like if you get the opportunity, just go on dates and just say yes and see where it takes you for, like a, I feel, like people are so peeking safe, which is fine like be picky. You know what you want, but at the same time I look of the people like a lot of reasons would be so silly like. My friend is like creeped out because this guy damned her and she just doesn't believe that, like she just doesn't like meeting people online, so she doesn't want to go meet him, which is actually when I think about it's kind of understandable. But at the same time, he's like a legit person like he's actually legit he's actually like a real person um but she's like oh, my God, no like he DMV. I like meeting people organically girl. If you don't go on a date, stop wasting your time. Honey! Worrying about that guy that doesn't really care about you and go date that guy that's actually paying attention to you. Babe buy that thing or book that trip, because not that I don't believe in Saving, but I actually came across this video on Tick Tock and if I find it, I will put it up here, but she was basically saying: why are you saving when you might Die tomorrow, like book, the trip buy the bag. What are you waiting for? If you have the money, do it which actually sounds irrational, and it just sounds like it's like you're, just making quick decisions and you're not really thinking about things. I mean really and truly you should use the rule like if you can't buy something three times and you shouldn't really buy it. That'S how I kind of look at purchasing things, but if you can afford a trip, go on it, if you can afford something, do it because life is short man I mean. Obviously, life is the longest thing we know, but why not? Why not? Why are you waiting book that trip buy that dress, sis? You look good. What are you waiting for and also like another one? A little bonus lesson I'm gon na add, on top of that, it's like dress how you want to dress, stop saving that dress or that outfit for a special occasion. Every day is a special occasion period find something you love and figure out a way to make money from it literally. I think a lot of people settle in jobs that they hate when really and truly they could be making money in something that they love like. If you love doing makeup, there's so many ways to make money doing makeup, I saw a tweet about some of the most ridiculous jobs and it's just like there's actually a job for everything like the day and age that we live in today is so amazing that You can literally make a job out of anything. I think someone said that they, I don't know what I can't. I need to find the Tweet, but she said something ridiculous. She'S, like I get paid to it, was something ridiculous like I think either something as silly as like. Maybe it I'm not even gon na say it was this but like let's say, for example, it's like oh, I get paid to um, find Trends and send it to people like people will pay for that. If you actually like promote it as a good service like if you like Tick, Tock so much, you can definitely make money from helping people make better tick. Tocks girl boy stop playing with yourself, there's an Agony forever. There is Avenue for everything, I'm sure. There'S I'm sure, there's an Avenue to there's even ways where you can make money like to create content, and you don't even need to show your face. There'S ways to make money and creating content um. I need to have to post it hello, influencers, there's ways to make money just find something you love and figure out a way to make money from it. The next lesson is one of my favorites invest in your health. I can't even explain to you how important it is to take care of your body from the inside out. I don't think people understand how important exercise and eating well does for your body, mind, spirit and soul. It'S actually ridiculous, because everything starts with like. I said your gut: your gut is your second brain. Everything you put into your body is so important. Um, invest in your health man like if you can have an eat, a healthier meal do it, but obviously, if you want to eat the cookie eat a thumb cookie, but it's also not every day. Do you know I mean sometimes go on a walk. Sometimes, wake up and just decide: okay, today, I'm going to join the gym and actually go. Do you know what I mean because the earlier you start the better for these, if you're watching this and you're entering your 20s or, if you're, watching your mid-20s late 20s? What to be honest, whatever age, you are invest in your health and start now, if you need an accountability, partner comment down below and I'll actually make an accountability group invest in your health, even recovery. That could mean sleeping more. You know you have bags under your eyes babe it's time to put the phone down Tick. Tock is not going anywhere so go to bed. Okay, sometimes you will not get an apology or closure. You will come across people that don't know how to hold themselves accountable and trust, and believe me, it's most likely gon na happen, because it really and truly happens to everyone. I mean we all know at least one person that doesn't know how to apologize, or at least give a genuine apology, and it's okay, because listen, sometimes people can't handle the truth, and sometimes people can handle their truth and they will never give you what you want And that's fine because you know what you're gon na decide that you are fine with or without their apology um. You know and you've learned from whatever lesson that person important to your life and you don't need closure because you're going to move on with or without this person, person, energy or acknowledgment, because you know what you're not going to spend any more time or energy on Chasing people down to realize their wrongs, it's a waste of time, it's a waste of energy and it's also a disrespect to your future self, because you've got things to do babe, you know embrace failure. A lot of people can feel ashamed that their relationship failed, their you know, business failed or whatever do you think all the best people around the world or the people you look up to or whoever you see as an idol hasn't failed. Everyone fails in some Department in their life and it teaches you a lot of things. You can't keep being so hard in yourself and talking down to yourself just because you haven't you know done well, then whatever that thing is whether you haven't had a successful relationship or every time you start a business, it flops or every single time. You want to start a new hobby, you just don't seem to pull through and actually stick to that commitment. It'S okay to fail because, like I said earlier, it's never too late and if you want to start again start again and if you realize actually I'm glad I failed, I actually don't even like this. Then you can move on and you can figure out what you do like it's, a win-win, honestly and Trudy so start embracing your failures, start cheering them on and stop letting it bring you down because it's bringing your vibrations down when it brings your vibrations down. You just don't want to do anything, and that is not it. I know you're watching this video on a screen, but I would actually say spend less time staring at a screen. You should not be spending your 20s watching Tick, Tock, watching series being anti-social and not seeing your loved ones or not spending time with yourself. That may be that series that Tick Tock is not going anywhere. You are not missing out on anything write your story, because this part of the movie that we're watching right now is a bit boring with you scrolling on that phone. Do something interesting! The audience of the cinema are getting bored. Do you know what I mean remember how I said that in your life, as a movie you're the main character? What are you gon na do next, what's exciting more exciting than scrolling on a phone like we get it, you like tick, tock switch it up. Time is your most precious resource, so spend it wisely. I think that speaks for itself, there's nothing more. I can really add to that time with literally everything who are you hanging around? What are you doing really? How were you you know, spending your hours of the day like what are you actually doing? Have you ever just like sat down and journaled of what you've done in a day? Maybe you spend too much time on your phone, like I said too much screen time. Maybe spend too much time worrying, maybe you oversleep, maybe you spend a lot of time in your bed and you don't actually do anything. Maybe you spend too much time doing online shopping and maybe you're overworked, and you actually need to book a trip and do nothing. So spend your time wisely realize that maybe your body needs a rest, or maybe your body needs to move figure it out. Okay, because we're all wasting time in one department, whether it's with someone that's toxic or just doing bad habits. You know, know your loved ones. You love them every chance you get, and I know that sounds cliche, but I don't think we do it enough in this world and I don't think I've done it enough in my 20s um I feel like the past couple of years. I have definitely done it like I. I really tell my friends. I love them a lot um recently and my loved ones. I love you um and yeah. I just think that we don't do it enough in this world this day and age, um and yeah spread that love. You know so yeah that is 26 things that I learned this year, not this year, 26 things I learned in my 20s and I hope you guys enjoyed that video look at this hair. This is really cute. I feel like this is going to take me some time to get used to. If you guys want the hair details, it is in the description box, um and yeah.
