What'S poppin brand new whip, just hopped in or whatever, as you can see, i'm very tired but hi guys and welcome back to my channel today we are doing a wig maintenance, video or from how i take off the wig. How i take the glue off my skin, how i take the glue off my wig and how i keep it in the best condition that i possibly can for it to last, as possibly long as i can so to begin with, i go in with a spray Bottle that i got from home bargains - and i just start to spray the hair with water, just pure water, just to allow the wig and the glue to just slide off, naturally, because we want to preserve the edges. The edges are important and also i want to preserve the wig, because if we just rip it off, we're obviously going to be ripping off the strands of hair within the lace as well, which is not good. My method that i found works when taking off my wig is keep spraying it with water until it feels soft enough to just slide off gently. If you have to keep pulling it like, i just did, then it's not ready, keep spraying with water and just use your fingers to push back the lace, so you can keep rolling it back until the wig comes off. As you can see, i'm literally just using my fingers taking my time and just rolling back the lace going with the flow, i'm not in a rush. Don'T take off your wig in a rush. That'S how you end up with no edges. Like me, i've learnt my lesson now. My edges are coming back so yay. Obviously it can get a bit messy because there's water everywhere, but i promise you it's worth it just take your time because you know you want edges girl. Many many minutes later. We'Ve managed to take the wig off nice and slowly nice and gently. We haven't ripped off any edges so on to the next part. Now it's time to take the glue off the skin and the edges, because i don't really get much glue on my edges because i push my wig forward. It'S mainly just my skin, so i use rubbing alcohol and a cotton pad to take the glue off. I found this method off youtube, so i'm not sure if it's like the most effective and the best way to do it. But i found that it's the most skin friendly and edge friendly way to do it and i'm no longer left with scars on my forehead, because i was just ripping the glue off and i'm no longer left with an edgeless scalp. You know so use this method at your own. Will i found that with like knitted gritty bits that are stuck in between your edges. I go with like a little toothbrush and just gently brush them off just to make sure it's all gone, because there's only so much a cotton pad can do now. The glue is off my scalp it's time to take it off the wig. This is what it usually looks like, and i normally just pop it in a sink filled with lukewarm water pop some shampoo, slash conditioner into it, so that it can soak in the goodness and it helps the glue soak off as well. So i leave that in for about two hours and i'll come back to it when it's ready to be brushed off foreign, pretty sure i forgot about this wig after a while. So this is about three hours later, but either way it still did the job. Why? I, like this method, is because the glue is now as soft as possible and you don't have to do too much scrubbing because the glue has been soaking for that long. It'S just basically sliding off and you're using a soft toothbrush. That'S very important! Please use a soft toothbrush because a hard one will just start ripping off the actual hair off the lace as well, which we don't want. We want the wig to last as long as possible, because wigs are an investment and we need to look after them like it's, our own hair, okay, okay, i'm just dipping the wig in the water, scrubbing dipping and scrubbing, dipping and scrubbing until it's all gone. Sometimes i even use my fingers, because the glue is just that soft now, like it's basically sliding off another little tip or trick when you're brushing the glue off the wig. It'S best to just keep detangling the hair as you go, because all that scrubbing underneath the lace is gon na obviously end up affecting the hair as well, so just try to keep detangling the hair as you go along, and this should be the final look that You get as you can see, most of the glue is gone and it's looking brand new already. As you can see, the glue is finally gone. It'S ready to be washed again, because, obviously we were washing it in dirty water. It was just water full of glue and all sorts, so we're gon na wash it properly with the pantene, shampoo and conditioner and just make it feel brighter again. Well. This is a very long and thorough method, but it is so worth it. I try to make my wigs last about five or six days then, after that i'll wash it using this method, and then it feels brand new again and i feel like the better you wash it the longer. It will last because there's literally no glue residue for it to slide off and you're, obviously protecting your edges, and this is the final look as you can see, the hair is still good. The lace is fresh, there's no glue inside and we are ready to put it back on. I hope you guys enjoyed this video.
