Don't Forget To Live Your Extra Life.

Hi beautiful today we're taking a trip down memory lane one of my favorite bittersweet things to do because on one hand i love nostalgia. On the other hand, it makes me feel, like i'm aging, which is scary today, we're gon na watch some commercials advertising the most interesting hair tools. I'Ve ever seen. I hope it unlocks some hidden memories of my own and we can just look at what craziness was going on back then in the world of hair care. Let'S do it all right, so we're going to start off strong here, i'm already laughing, i'm looking at the title of this video, which is very simple title, but it says bump it. The word bump it's if it doesn't trigger you in some sort of way. You'Re. Definitely very young: are you tired of flat boring hairstyles? Do you go through a can of hairspray trying to get that full volumized? Look then bump it up bump it and get that salon style. Look fast and easy. Bumpits are the incredible self-dripping hair accessory that give you perfect style and volume everything go from flat to fabulous. Oh, what is that? Oh wait? What i don't remember this ever being a thing. I definitely remember bump it, and did i own them? No, if i had long hair would i have owned them? Yes, because i was definitely telling all my friends, you need bumpets and they were like what the is that - and i was like i'll, show you, but who, who is doing their hair like this? If you did your hair like this, please please let me know comment below this is the definition of helmet hair and i can't tell if i hate it or love it, and then the next girl is giving me first lady vibes, and i think i'm here, for It she's fully defying gravity with her bumpets here i literally have never seen anybody wear their hair, like this. Imagine being able to create today's hottest hairstyles in seconds oh and they're, so easy to use. Anyone could be a stylist, yes, queen pair at the crown, give a little tease insert bump it fluff it up and you're ready to go. I have a lot a lot of questions and if you know about bumpits, i need your answer. How did it stay in your hair you're telling me with just a little bit of a tease and a little piece of plastic? It just stays in your head all day. Did it not fall out? Was there a bump it hanging off the side of your head at some points of the day? Did that happen because it feels like that would like if the hair starts parting people are gon na be like? Why is there a piece of plastic sitting in your head? I'M not quite convinced that that actually is how it worked. I remember people using the tiny little bump bits to do like the little bump in the front of their hair, and then they put a clip behind it. That logistically makes a lot more sense to me than the crown bump it. But i don't know they won't fall out. Wear bumpets anywhere every day, they're, the easiest most versatile, hair accessory you've ever worn. One trip to the salon can cost over one hundred dollars. Oh god, the voice overs from 90s commercials holds a very special place in my heart. The fact that they're kind of screaming at you but they're also feel very friendly. At the same time, you need bumpits. Bumpits are the best tool you'll ever use. It'S like the way you talk to an infant, it's interesting, so why not pick up your bumpets today and get that salon? Look every day, you'll also get the small bumpets it's great to bunk your bangs or bump a ponytail. This is the look okay, we didn't do the whole back bump. It too people definitely did the front bump it. I was into the front bump it i'll. Tell you. I love that volume right in the front couldn't get enough of it. Yes, please bon apple teeth and the large bumpets perfect for those special occasions. Yes, princess of genovia girl. It'S like just tease your hair and put some hairspray in there it'll stay. This is a very unnecessary tool and the fact that they definitely sold millions and millions of units of this is just like it - just doesn't compute, plus the easy to follow style guide and this professional teasing comb choose from blonde light brown or dark brown black bump. It up with bumping, yes, remember to pick up your bum, oh she's, rocking it that looks like a party city wig. I love it. Where are these people now is what i want to know. Where are you guys? Where are you guys that were in this commercial? I want to know i'm out wherever you are and give us your story. How do you feel now? Do you still use your bumpet? Have you ever used your bumpet? What are you looking like? Why do i want one after watching that, should i do a video where i like? Try these things that'd be kind of fun bump it? You really got me. Let'S see if conair quick twist hair braider can make me want one as well, so i'm just gon na take a two inch section of hair and i'm going to separate it just like this, and the first thing that you're actually going to do is clip the Hair into the quick twist, so this is a qvc commercial she's, showing us how to use this braiding contraption that oftentimes tangled your hair so badly and got stuck in your hair, at least from my experience. I don't know about you, it's going to twist the hair. It'S scary and then you actually going to turn it in the direction that you want it to go once you twist, you can twist it all the way up. You can add accessories, you can add beads, oh hell, no, i owned one. I swear i did unless i didn't, but i'm pretty sure i owned one that twisted your hair and then twisted this way as well. This is like a lower end. One sorry, it's embarrassing, but mine definitely did it all my bad. I found the commercial and i found the one i was talking about. I wasn't going crazy. There was one the second edition. I believe that actually twisted your hair just watch the video. This is a fun commercial. It'S giving zero diversity, though it's none was non-existent. Infinity pro by conair twist up beautiful and endless styles effortlessly, that was the one. I remember, and i absolutely do need it see. The pro one makes sense to me that actually does save a lot of time if your hair does not get stuck. I think that one actually worked well, if i remember correctly and i'm intrigued by it still, because it is kind of hard to like twist and then twist this way, i would love just a machine. That goes not that i twist hair a lot, but if you do twists in your hair, this honestly still seems like - and i hope conair still makes it, but i'm pretty sure they don't. Let'S bring it back. Let'S start a petition hold on to your seats. For this next one, because i'm hitting you with a nostalgic product, this one unlocked a memory that i didn't know i had and that i haven't thought about since this day that i saw this. This is called haragami and i hope you had a moment like. I did when i just said that word and if you didn't maybe you'll know once i play the commercial in japan, the art of folding paper is called origami. Now experience the art of folding hair with haragami the snap action design tool for creating beautiful hair ease. Harigami is no ordinary hair accessory just fold, wrap and snap. It'S so easy to use just place. Your hair gummy at the neck then draw it down. Then fold wrap and snap. Your hair into the perfect bun just lift and fold to create great new fashions. The snap action secures your hair, no pins, no clip when i tell you that all i wanted in life was a hairagami. I truly mean that. The other thing, though, is that i kind of like hacked the horrigan horigami girl. It'S hairagami, you know the snap bracelets. That'S also another throwback, it was the same material as a haragami, so i would use those to do hair into those buns petition to bring this back sign up below these amazing hairstyles take minutes to do and they're all in the glamour guide. This is some of the most wild i've ever seen. I feel like i'd, just be impressed if somebody had their hair like this at an event or like literally just at work, i'd be all up in there staring like what. What is this sculpture in the back of your head? Haragami comes with a snap action scrunchie to create new ponytails. Look how easy! What is that? Why is there two ponytails in the back of her head, learn to make a pony heart that everyone loves so cute? Learn how to do other ponytails, just fold, wrap and snap. We should still be using these i'm bringing back every 90s early 2000s hair gadget ever i'm doing it. I didn't think this would unlock so much joy and happiness within myself. I was slightly depressed today and now i'm healed from these videos and we're back with conair conor. Did it again in 2002, and this is the conair quick wrap. I know i wanted this. I don't know about you. Yes, yes and you can quick wrap at home. One easy tool wraps hair strands with colored string, and then you decorate them with beads and charms quick wrap. Two spools of string battery beads and charms are yours for 24.99. When you call this number, it's easy, but you need a friend to help like this watch. The string in the strand - oh yes, hair wrapping is so great. Honestly, i want it to come back. It already has come back. I would make my parents buy me strings that i could invite my girlfriends over and wrap string around their hair. I found it so entertaining anything that had to do with string. I would make friendship bracelets. I would make them this wide. It would take me weeks to make these friendship bracelets, but besides the friendship bracelets, if i could put any kind of accessory in the hair, especially string, i was there. I did not have one of these, though it would have been way faster. If i did and sadly enough, that is the only commercial i can find of it, it is not great quality. You can't really see what's going on, but basically you inserted the string and it wrapped it around your hair and gave you this incredible. Look. I mean these were the vibes if you could do multi-colored and then do certain parts that have like the extra layer of different colored string on top, you were elite. Also, you know that i was in there doing like artistic knots. I was so good at these hair wraps that i would make it spiral and then it would change color and then i would change color again and then i put another spiral thing and then i put beads at the bottom too. So couldn't forget the beads. Oh, i love doing it like on the top of the head too, so you could really see it. Those were the cool girls, you know the girls who had the bot, the ones in the bottom like just a little bit just in case. I want to show it off, sometimes like i put in a ponytail and you could see it, but then you put your hair down. You can be like business, you know now. Next we have some tools that would add gems to your hair. Why was all the fun had so long ago and now we're all serious with our balayage? Where are the good times? This is the the quick gem by connor. I love how you needed a tool for this. The fact that you couldn't just take your hair strand and put a gem on it with stickiness on both sides, the fact that we spent our money, you can tell that this was pre-recession. The fact that we were buying tools that your fingers could easily accomplish is iconic. I owned one of these too or my friend did. I don't know somebody owned it. My closeted app probably did not own it, but i do remember playing with it and i do remember it not working at all. Iconic song, i'm gon na put that on my spotify playlist. It didn't work and i've also watched videos about people trying to use this thing. They all just fall to the ground, those gems - i don't know how i made them. Stick, i don't even know if they were that sticky either. This one was definitely a miss for me. Unfortunately, i do love a good gem and i do love a good gem in the hair, but this when it doesn't work it upsets me. We have the topsy tail. I know this name. I have never owned. One never used one and have hardly ever seen it. Let'S check it out the incredible hair fashion tool. Oh exciting. I remember it's so easy. If you can make a ponytail, you can topsy tail simply place the topsy tail in the center of the ponytail thread, hair through the loop and pull for. I want to the get topsy steps you can create dozens of dazzling styles for every occasion. In no time it's all right here in the glamour guide, top detail works on any hair type. Kids love topsy tail too school time play time anytime. It'S even great for shoulder length, hair now for less than the cost of. What'S all it did salon you can order, that's all it did complete with glamour guide for just 12.95 wait. They were selling the pamphlet on how to do this. For 12.99 people were making money back then order now and we'll also send you secrets to french braiding, create a whole new look in a whole new. You order topsy tail today. Imagine now you get youtube for free and you can learn anything 12.99. You had to order a book to know how to do this. All you got to do guys is just take your finger, put the hair in it and then pull the hair through the ponytail. You don't need to buy a tool or a book to do it. Wow we have come so far. That'S incredible! Imagine if, like your grandma or grandpa or parents invented the topsy tail and you got to tell people your family is wealthy because they invented the topsy tail. I could not ask for anything more than that. If you, mr and mrs taylor, out there, how are you doing today? Last but not least, this is called the conor quick bead always wanted to bead your hair, but had trouble figuring out how to do it yourself. Now, there's conair's quick bead that beats your hair automatically just feed the beads into the quick bead tool, separate out a strand of hair and press the on button. When my mom did my hair, it took forever not the mom shade. No, that was mean my mom took forever doing it. I'D be like get out of the house. This tool, though, really cool. The kit includes 40 medium-sized beads, 40 large ones and 10 snap-on bead holders. This one is cool. I didn't own it. I did own the thing that they showed in the beginning, with like the tool where you insert your hair, and then you push all the beads up. That'S also like a really easy way of doing it. You really didn't need the electric one, but was it cool? Yes - and you were definitely popular if you owned one, i'm just gon na say it: the mechanism was badass. You could only add like 10 beads, though, which was kind of sad, but i wanted like the full head, but you only could get a little section of it i'll take it. It made it really easy and i'm into it, and it definitely was worth the money and i still want one. All i want to do now is just go back in time and invent borderline hair tools that are useless, but also just bring you so much happiness. I need to buy all of them. Thank you guys for watching today. Don'T forget to follow me everywhere else. You'Re on my social media handles right here, also check out model, hair and x model color. They are linked below for you. We have so much amazing, hair care and amazing hair color. You can do anything you want to your hair to make you feel the most confident in your own hair. Thank you so much for watching, don't forget to live your extra life and i'll see you next time. Bye, guys you

Bianca N: I think we deserve a video where Brad gets ahold of all these products, plus butterfly clips, and gives Ms. Mannequin an early 2000s makeover!

Casey: Brad: "I've literally never seen anyone do their hair like this.." Clearly Brad has never been to rural Missouri. If you randomly selected 10 women from my hometown between the ages of 30 and 40, I guarantee that at least 3 of them are still using a bump it or similar product, probably combined with 5lb of hair extensions. All of it so hair sprayed down that gale force winds couldn't move it.

Alexandra Bourne: Hi Brad, I had the hairagami. I used to work as a flight attendant at the time, and we were required to wear the hair on a bun or ponytail, and the hairagami was great for making pretty buns.

Karysa Michaux: The hairigami thing actually worked really well. When I was a kid I had a hard time putting my hair in a bun until I got one at a drug store the scrunchie version sucks tho!

Avernales Hyler: In the 80's I was a a kid through my tween years making friendship bracelets and never heard of hair wraps and for an embarrassingly long time thought I actually invented hair wraps. Girls that bullied me would pay me to wrap their hair. I made them in that spiral from the start and could make a hundred dollars in a day as an 8yo wrapping hair in the mid 80s.

Melanie Ann Plans: As a Millenial, I so appreciate this walk down memory lane! Also: who here remembers the little butterfly hair clips!?

Korinda Walls: I loved and STILL love the Topsy Tail! I probably have a dozen of them in various sizes. I have fine silky straight hair, so they actually work way better than splitting a ponytail and pulling through by hand. My hair is so soft that it would cause the hair band to slide too much. I styled my hair this way for my wedding, too. I always get compliments and people asking how I did it. I also use them to tie big bows on presents. Handy little tools!

Jenni Private: I literally remember the late nineties and early 2000s being all about putting as much crap as possible in your hair. Gems, beads, neon extensions, feathers, string, weird barrettes that made your hair do the thing. It was the wild west of hair accessories.

Allison F: I used to wear a bumpit almost every single day in high school. It was definitely more than a “little bit of a tease”. My hair looked like a rats nest underneath a slightly smoothed top layer and I’d spray that sucker and shove about 6 Bobbi pins in there to hold it in place. It was chaos and pain trying to brush my hair out every night.

Nikkol Jackson: I use the hairagami still! Yes... Putting my hair in a bun for the gym without damage is amazing! Just bought 6 of Amazon as my other ones finally wore out from the early 2000s.

Sylvie: As a small town girl I'm here to tell you, the BUMPITS were IT! we all had them and did our hair like that. Also yes they fell out, you had to bobby-pin them in. The girls running laps in gym class had their bumpits falling out all over the the place and their orange glow tan dripping off their faces. Ahh the 2000's

*queenizzydeigh*: I was living for the hairagami and used it everyday while I was in the military! At one point, I even ordered them in bulk and gave them to all the females I worked with!

Heather Williams: Damn this aged me. I had the hairagomi, the conair twister, and the bumpits. AND, one you didn’t include, the hair parting tool that was kind of scissor shaped to do different shaped parts… which I now know you can do with a pencil, rat tail comb or literally any point.

MsChelsaMarie: That Hairagami was my lifesaver when I was in JROTC!! I had to have my hair in a bun when I wore my uniform, and that made it so freaking easy in the morning!!

A A: I used the heck out of a Topsy Tail when I was young . You can definitely do more with it than what is on the commercial. That style guide had a lot of different things to try.

Olivia Hall: I was a cheerleader from 2005-2009 and let me tell you, the bump it helmet hair thing was a LOOK. It my school, we only did the front bumps like Brad explained, but our rival school truly has the mindset of the higher the hair the closer to God. That, with really stripey highlights.

scrumpybumpus: I used the bump it all the time for really elaborate vintage style updos like those 1969 era hyper complicated beehives with all the swirls and shit. It’s really helpful for structural integrity and yeah if you tease it and lay down a bit of hairspray first you just kind of jam it into your head and the way the plastic is structured it just stays there and then you pin and spray hair around it so it is like scaffolding inside the hair. I still use them when I do elaborate updos on my friends they are really helpful when somebody has heavy hair like so fucking helpful

KatieCat: I remember begging my Mama to buy the Hairagami, unfortunately my hair was far to thick and heavy for it to work right. I do however still have and use my topsy tail lol. I also had a bump it. It was practically part of our cheer and dance uniforms

Queen B: My 7 year old daughter has ALL of these contraptions, except the bump it. We've got thick curls, so our hair kind of bumps itself. Those gems do suck, but if you put them on a thick strand of hair it usually stays a little bit longer. I'm constantly finding little half sticky gems all over the house!

ChaosGnoblin: I remember a friend's mom wearing a bumpit. She had really fine, thin hair and so you could actually see a gap of space created by the bumpit through her hair. It was not very flattering

Adri Boyd: I LOVED hair wrapping!!! Was always doing them on me and my sister! And I remember my mom always talking about her Topsy-Tail! She was like “It was so easy to use!” ❤️

Mae: I LOVED bumpits back in the day. I would tease the hell out of my hair and even stack two of them at the crown for extra volume. I would take a little hair from each side and pull it back under the bumpits and pin it to keep them in place.

Briër Wyldfyr: I have a confession to make. I have hairigami wraps (or whatever they are called)….. and I still use them when I grow my hair out. I get compliments on my buns almost every time ‍

Joy Bodelay: Hey Brad, do you remember the Magic Hair thingy which was two hair combs attached together with a stretchy mesh of beads?! You stuck it on either side of your head and the mesh stretched across the back and looked sparkly and horrendous!

LindsayD007: "the fact that this was pre-recession" explains so much about every bit of style from the early 2000's.

Valeska: I literally have a topsy tail tool that I bought for like 2 euro. The fact they sold that with the guide for 12.99 is insane lol. It literally just flips the ponytail which you can do with your hands too. It is a tool that does work tho

Lin Ca: Before I had layering in my hair I actually got a Hairigami but it was called Dutt Maker. Didn't even knew that it was a 2000s thing, but it helped me to not use elastics at all, which reduced my hair damage. So can recommend this :D

Aurooa: You can actually use the Topsy Tail to wrap a strand around your hair tie. That way you don’t need Booby Pins and it’s really secure The fact that I played with all those hair tools makes me feel old

Pam The Pan: i use these for my sixties hair looks and unlike the commercial, i tease layers and the hair it sits on its also teased. so the hooks on the bumpits are arrow shaped and stay on. TRUST ME THEY STAY ON !

MetallicSarcasm: Brad's description of 90's commercial voice overs "where they're kind of yelling at you, but they also seem friendly" is the best and most accurate thing I've ever heard!

Mrs K: I still use Hairagami!!! Almost every day ! I have to wear my hair in a bun for work, and this gives me the nicest, most put-together bun ever!

Lil Gukkie: I had a bump it back in the day lmao, but I think my hair was too thin for it because even with clips and tons of teasing, I had to do HUGE sections of hair just to keep the bump it from showing. It was quite a time, a memory I haven't thought of in years

Easter Egestas: I remember my mom buying a topsy turvy, and she would use it to make a bunch of different hair styles on me, but now I have short hair and she doesn’t do much to her long hair so we just use it for parting our hair. Also we never owned a bumpit, but she still does that little bump in the front of her hair

Bunny: This video just unlocked a memory I completely forgot about. My comb that I have used since I was 14 (I'm 28!) came from the Bumpit packaging I can't believe I had all these tools! The only one I actually used was the topsytail but my hair never stayed in place...it would just slip out of the flip hahaha

Lori Bickford: I remember a tool that would stamp shapes into the hair like hearts and stars, and I think it had color as well, so you could have like pink hearts and blue stars. I think it had more colors and shapes as well. It was like a krimper but with shapes instead of waves.

Johanna Chan: Just bought a hairigomi for my daughter’s hair. Makes Chinese New Year styles easy.

ILuvAyeAye: "Why was the fun had so long ago, and now we're all serious with our balayage?" I don't know Brad, the young stylists at the salon where I work just discovered tinsel and feather extensions. Some days we look like a flock of bedazzled pigeons up in here.

Kitties Corner: I totally had a hairagomy. I even used it on my hair for my junior prom. I also still use the topsy tail type thing. there is actually allot you can do with it.

Selina Quintero: I needed this video! These commercials brought back my childhood! I wanted these SO bad I agree, Brad needs to get ahold of these and do a video using them!!

MusicalMeadows: Bumpit hair is definitely still a thing in the south. "The higher the hair, the closer to Jesus" is a saying for a reason. The original use of the Topsy Tail was stupid but the mini-topsy tail was a godsend. Especially once the hair bloggers got ahold of it. They were great for making faux waterfall breads and faux french braids!

Dannelle Utsch: I had the Bump it when my hair was cut in a asymmetrical bob (short in the back, longest in the front). I mainly used the small one for the front like Brad talked about. I also had the Topsy Turvey but like Brad said, you could totally do it without the tool. Not shown was a Hairdini and that was really good for making a hair bun. It was like the Hairorgami but with bendy wires inside and a puffy foam that added volume.

Phalicia Wencil: I had this awesome three-pronged twister. You added these rubber beads to the bottom before twisting, then just slid it up to hold the twist. Also came with a bunch of beads to add. It was awesome

Jennifer Ackerman: Of these, the only thing I had was the Topsy Tail. I actually found it in a box of my stuff a few months ago! That being said, the hair tool I am still obsessed with is the Magic EZ Combs (though most of the ones I own aren't actually the branded ones). My hair is silky, straight, and fine, so most clips just end up sliding out. The EZ combs (2 hair combs held together with a beaded elastic center) work incredibly well in my hair.

Katka: I absolutely had both a hairigami and a topsy tail. The topsy tail worked great in my super fine hair.

Paige Sexton: As a former pageant girl, we wore our hair “bumpit” style. It was awful but it was what you did. And the bumpits actually sucked. You saw the plastic every time lol. I tried everything but classic teasing worked way better (but hurt waaaayyy worse hahaha!) I used to sing “killing me softly with this comb” every time my hair got fiercely teased and pageant ready.

Ashleigh Lillith: I laughed at these commercials back then, and was like... No. I had super fluffy hair, and I was addicted to my hair straighter. I still have the one I got in 2002, and it works great. It was a very expensive model, and it still legit is

fatalrob0t: Yeah I had the confirmation braid twister. It twisted the strands and then twisted them together. It was actually really quick and the braids stayed together. Never had it stuck in my hair. I would do basically tolkien elf locks.

Younce-Davis: I was born in '99 and I remember my mom having the bump it. We have super thin hair so it didn't exactly work even with hair spray. It fell right out. I also had a hairigami. It also fell right out.

Deraviin: I remember when you could buy bumpits in the checkout aisle of walmart bc they were such quick sells lol Edit: Oh hairigami! I was a ballerina so I had several of those hairigamis so I could have perfect ballet buns every day in less than a minute cuz.... doing buns every single day that had to stay for 6 hours or more got so old.

court: Brad: I literally have never seen anybody wear their hair like this Snooki: am I a joke to you

stephernoodle: The memories ‍ I definitely used to do the front bumpit when I had bangs in high school I REALLY wanted all these things so bad lmao

ₕₐₙₐₑ Gᵣₑₑₙ ₛₜₐᵣ: How funny. I found a topsy tail kit in my old cosmetics drawer and was like where did this come from?!!

ronalddonlogin: I LOVED making friendship bracelets. I want to try making some now actually

MELLVe2008: I had a tool similar to Quick Twist that worked with up to four strands. With two strands it worked fine, but with 3 or 4 it tangled the hair more often than not. I stopped using it when I realized that it drained batteries incredibly fast and I got tired of replacing them all the time. Also I remember that I wanted Hairigami, but never had one.

Kaley Whipple: I would give anything to see one hairstyle using all of these tools at once! Like a Bumpit hairgami topsy-tail decorated with gems and beads?? tbh I bet it would be iconic

I should be doing laundry Kristen S.: Brad, tipsy tail came out pre internet. People like me in the fly over states, who didn’t get internet until 1998, were bamboozeled by how people created this hair artistry. We didn’t know we could simply do it with our hands until hair tutorials came along. Also, I stand behind my small bumpit, it stayed put between the teasing and hairspray all night.

C18H19NaO5S: Absolute throwback! I’d love to see you get them. This also healed me lol

Anime Aunty: A Topsy Tail came n my Bumpit box I still wear those 2 combs connected with stretchy string with beads on em. I always get compliments & it gives a little eye lift too It kinda automatically bumps up the hair between the combs so u have that Bumpit bangs moment without teasing or spray. I love em

BloodWitch: I would have done anything to be one of Brad’s friends back in the day and own one of those 2 inch wide friendship bracelets ♥️

Garnet97: I would love to see Brad do his own 90’s/00’s commercial for his products. It’s would be iconic!

Miss Electric Pink: I can confirm that the Bumpit does work. I’ve used them and used hairspray on the teased part. It never moved.

Stephanie Allan: I remember wanting a bumpit a lot of the girls in my school teased there hair as much as showed in the commercials.

Elyse Patti: Wow, I feel shook by ALL these products! Talk about nostalgia!

Beck P.: Lololol, I used these in high school! Everyone called me the “bump it girl” They don’t stay put unless you used the small size under your bangs. The large one had to be readjusted throughout the day.

Marjorie Thomas: Totally needing a video of Brad using all these nostalgic hair gadgets!!!! Please!!!!! We need this!

Space Cloud: omg I think I still have a topsy tail somewhere haha, I also used to have one of those twisting things, but I had a lilac one with three twisters instead of two and it came with threads and a bead set that could clip around the twists instead of having to thread them. I don't remember who it was made by because I was like 5, but I used it so much hahaha

alannah: Watching this I had no idea this hair wrap tool ever existed! I always wanted hair wraps when I was younger, but now I’ve got 2 daughters that let me do them on them all the time! So therapeutic!

Victoria Dennis: The topsy tail was super helpful for me. When I was younger I had like 4 feet of hair and for dance we had to do french braids and tuck them in. So we would use the topsy tail to tuck the length of braid all the way up under the french braid. I mean like all the way back up my head.

Alycia (MaybeMockingbird): I went to college (2012-2014) and one of my classmates had the bump it hair but she did it WITHOUT THE BUMP IT! We went on a cruise for credits (we were in a tourism and event management course) and she and I roomed together and I watched her spend an hour EVERY DAY using so many products to get that massive bump and it was nauseating the amount of hair spray she used

Madison Passmore: His reaction to the bumpits styles shows he’s definitely not from the south. That was, and still is, THE LOOK for southern belles.

Lauren Demmer: Man I wish I had a brad mondo friend back in the day doing my hair with all these products. My mom never bought I to these but I remember wanting them so bad!

Gemma Owen: OMG I miss hair wrapps! The 90s child in my ALWAYS had one in! I taught myself how to do them so ended up doing them for everyone in school!

Dani Loren: I remember putting a metric ton of hairspray in my bumpit and teasing my hair to unimaginable amounts in an attempt to master the Snooki look. Ah bumpits, those were the days

MeliFitz: This is my whole childhood. As a curly hair girl most of these gadgets just tangled my hair.

Kiersten Ridgway: I have a bump it!! It lives in my Halloween box ! Omg! That twist thing looks like a nightmare. I remember getting a brush stuck in my hair. Had to drive to friends house to get it out. Anything that twists your hair, be careful.

Jaqui Rox: 150% all of your guesses about Bumpits are true! I have fine but dense hair, and back then it was down to my butt. Around early highschool it became the biggest fad for girls to style themselves like a sort of Abercrombie crack head. And you know exactly what I mean by that, don’t you?!!?! So I got a bumpit to attempt to try to get that frazzled super tall hair. But my hair was super healthy, long and natural. So basically nothing could make it look like the Abercrombie crack head look. It didn’t stay in at all, it peaked out of the edges, it would part a little and show obviously in the middle, and overall it just had a really unnatural shape to it. In 2009 I was in the Army after highschool, and I opted to chop all my hair off into a A Line Bob, and for the first time in my life I started to figure out how to actually style my hair for volume. Which literally just wasn’t possible with butt length natural hair. But thank goodness the Abercrombie crack head look is over now. No one needed to see that. And I much prefer my blunt Bob now, with my Dry Bar wand for curling. Natural ish, but bleached and fun. And no crack head esthetic.

April-Adele Whyte: I remember my mum sitting for hours doing that hair wrapping thing on me in the early 2000s, she just did it by hand because she didn't want to buy the wrapping machine after having bought the second generation hair twist one and it constantly just getting tangled. It used to always untwist itself too when you used the stupid bead things to close your hair off. I used the snap bracelets as the hairagami thing too, such high level granny hairstyles were achievable lol

pandemonicpixie: I used to topsy tail my hair with no tool, after seeing this commercial, from time to time. I also did hand made hair wraps.

Mary Walden: I will never forget going to a goodwill with my mom in 2014-ish and seeing a massive bin of Bumpits (probably 1000 boxes of the small, medium, and large bumps) with a big "FREE" sign on it. We asked a worker why they were there and they said "Oh they are out of style and no one will buy them anymore. We have to give them away. Sometimes we slip them in people's bags as they leave to get rid of them faster."

Jade Rorie: Loved this video! I love the Topsy Tail still. You can just use your fingers the tool just made it easier. Only difference is I would pull it from the bottom to the top to make the ponytail bouncier vs flat against your neck.

badmintongrrl: I LOVED the Hairagami. My sister and I did ballet, and when the hairagami came out, it changed the game for bun making before ballet. SO good.

Antoinette Chaton: I had that blue conair thing that spun string on your hair. Im pretty sure my sister used it when she went to the nsync celebrity concert. Or maybe she did it by hand. She is pretty good at doing those friendship bracelet things.

Katira-Lynn Wolf: Brad, the Hairigami things you can find on eBay or Amazon under many names, I have about a dozen I purchased really cheap a few years ago to use on my wigs and they are amazing and fun to play with!

Adriana Melendez: I remember in middle school some girls got in a fight and one of them had a bump it. It was dangling from her head and was super tangled in there. Glad that memory was unlocked

Megan: i completely forgot about the quick gems! i wanted that too! everything conair did was iconic to me - i still buy their hair tools lmao

Megan: i completely forgot about the quick gems! i wanted that too! everything conair did was iconic to me - i still buy their hair tools lmao

Andra Davis: I still have the original Topsy tail. My mom's uncle bought it for me. I never had the hairigami, but I had one call the hairdini. They came in two different sizes.

Megan: i wanted all of these so badly! especially the hairigami box i always wanted to be able to do a perfect bun

Ivonne Quiroz: When Brad said “Yess, Princess of Genovia”, i cackled!!! And that hairstyle was all the rage in when i was in my late teens and early 20s. I didn’t need a bump it because i knew how to tease my hair but i definitely had friends who used it!

Oksana Sipe: I clicked on this video with the express interest in revelling in the nostalgia and just hoping that the hairigami would be in it. Because I remember having such a thing as a kid and I for the life of me couldn't remember what the product was called in my adulthood, but I have been wanting one again over the last couple weeks and couldn't even begin to describe what the product was that I was looking for. <3

JS: I still have my bumpits, and just recently took them out to try them again, with my hair far longer than it was when I used it all those years ago. I was.. not impressed. I'll just keep teasing.

Katrina Ford: My mom had the Topsy Tail thing and it genuinely changed how my mom saw hair

Jessi Rossi: Hahaha I used the Topsy Tail EVERY DAY when I was in basic training. My hair was down to the middle of my back and this thing was so helpful to keep it all up!!

Adrianna Miller: Lol, my "never throws anything out" tendency is really showing in that I still have my harigami in my hair accessories drawer- haven't used it in well over a decade and moved three times, but it's still there!

Emma Sue: Hilarious! I remember having a purple braider that I think was a knockoff of this and holy hell my hair got stuck and ripped out of that thing so many damn time. It had three prongs though and it was supposed to braid and twist? I don't even know. It was a mess. I was a mess. I mean ‍♀️

Kita Khat: I still have my pretty topsy tail tool and I still style my hair that way. When I was a kid I wanted this tool but I figured out how to do it without it. I would do my mom's hair. The hair wraps are easy when you know how to do friendship bracelets which I do and kumihimo. Had a bumpit and hated it still have it too. Back in the early 2000s my hair was relaxed.

Kate: I had the hairigami and the tipsy tail. Loved them both! My grandmother gave them to me. A lot of these were 90s and not 2000s. I had a bump it too. Tried it once and couldn’t get it to work. Also had the bead wrap and it didn’t work.

Hollzie: I admittedly bought a set of bump-its like 20 years ago and when I couldn't get them to stay in my hair I threw them away! It was one of the worst purchases I ever made....lol!

Michaela Thompson: The hairigami was honestly a lifesaver for my dad when he had to help me put my hair up in a bun for ballet when I was little. The memories haha!

Joe Baumgart: The 2000's were a weird time for hair. Put it to you this way, Brad's hair was actually in style back then! Lol love you Brad!
