Hi guys and welcome again back to my youtube channel, i'm so happy to see you here. My name is jen and yeah. Today is just going to be a really basic video on how to do a simple, bantu knot style. So this is a really simple style to do, especially if you've just come out the shower and you've got afro hair or if you've got straight hair, and you just want to do something really cute. I think i love this hairstyle. I do it all the time and it's really really simple: go ahead and do the first part i don't really use combs that much. I just take a bit like this, a small enough chunk to be able to twist it, and then i get a little bit of the twist and lock it's a gel. So i get a little bit of the twist and lock gel just to moisturize it and just hold it in place. After doing my twist, i part it ow, it's really painful after i've just washed my hair, it can be quite painful and then i'm just going to twist twist the hair around each other, so you'd separate it divide it into and then just twist it like this. I try not to do it too, tight, because when i tap my hair too tight, i start to get headaches so like twirl it in your finger, and it will naturally just twist so keep on twisting onto you until it gets to like a a coily. It becomes like a coil, so then you just coil it round, tuck it into one of the gaps and then like a little piece will come out like this, a lot more shops and cinemas, and things like that are going to be opening and i'm so excited To go to the cinema, we're going to have old films back in the cinema. What they're going to do is they're going to put a lot of old movies back into the cinema, so i saw things like harry potter. It'S going to be back in the cinema and breakfast at tiffany's and back to the future. You guys excited about getting back to you. I think it's going to be quite cool that we can now have like a stave. Staycation people are calling it so we stay in the uk because i'm i'm feeling lazy already, i'm just taking a little bit larger chunks of my hair. A lot of shops are on sale as well right now, actually, but the changing rooms are not open in a lot of them, so i went to a couple of stores the other day like cos, an arquette have any of you ever done this hairstyle before tell Me down in the comments, if you've done it and what hair products did you use to keep it in place, because i've noticed a lot of people use different hair products and bantu knots are currently really good for like if, after you've done, the bantu knots and Then you undo them, they make like a lovely little coily, coily curl, but i've never been able to do that on my hair, that it doesn't come out in a nice curly coil and i would love to be able to do that. I'M actually thinking of buying um, one of those curling rod, sets to try and see how i can do heatless curls on my hair and this hair. I noticed like the bantu knots hair was quite popular in the 90s. A lot of night people in the 90s would do this hairstyle. I think the spice girls did this. Was it the spice girls? I don't know. I think i remember a pop group doing bantu knots a lot. I think bantu originally comes from an african country like i don't know the historical background of it completely, but i've heard that it's it's a style done a lot in an african tribe. Look up a little bit more about it. Maybe i'll put something in the the description box. If any you guys are history geeks up there and want to know more about the origin of hairstyles and things like that, so i'm taking a little bit more cream, i'm gon na do the back again. I love doing the back because they're like it feels really soft. When i do the back of my hair in the bantu knots, it's like my favorite part, quite a lot of good things in the cell right now, and a lot of people are not buying them up very quickly because i think people feel like. Maybe they can't try on or it's not the time to go shopping i mean i don't know how people are feeling, but i feel like there's a lot. Less people actually doing shopping on oxford street at the moment, so it might be a good good idea. For me to try and get some of the bargains getting there early see what i can buy nearly done see how i love doing this hairstyle, it's less less hassle doing the middle is the hardest. I think, because the hair is a lot thicker in the middle. I don't know if you find that with your hair as well and another thing that's just opened recently for anybody who's living in london as well is our mcdonald's. Some mcdonald's are open again. I think it's all takeaway at the moment, but yeah our mcdonald's are open again, so people can actually go into mcdonald's and buy their big macs. I haven't actually been yet, but i'm looking forward to having a cheap little. What'S it called chicken chicken chicken chicken sandwich, burger fries and a mcflurry, i miss my mcflurries. A piece of my hair just fell off. My hair is a lot healthier as well. Recently like the products i've been using, i've also started taking a vitamin supple supplement um. I'M not 100 on sure on the results yet, but i do feel like my hair is a lot thicker. I'Ve started taking vitamin b12. My back is hurting me now. I really do love this hairstyle, it's so cute, so so cute this thing on instagram, i'm one of um the people on my friend list. It'S called 28 day water challenge. So it's like a moist moisture challenge. I think to drink two liters a day for 28 days and see what the effects on your hair would be. I think that's a great idea, because water can never hurt. Water is really good for the skin, for the hair, for everything, basically in the body. So i am really looking forward to getting outside of london like i don't have anywhere planned to go, but i would just love to have it do a day trip something like a um a little. I would love to do a little staycation in bath because i really love bath and somerset, but i don't really know what the kind of guidelines are in terms of tour guides and things like that, because i would like to get a tour guide to take us Me and my boyfriend around um lecoque leecock. I think it's called where they filmed harry potter and place called wells guys it's the last one done nearly done. Yes, a little bit of spray. With this um conditioning mist, i like to just spray that, on my hair, yeah looks quite cute quite like that see by the way, if you're wondering what this is. This is a mirror, slash a usb charger thing that i got for free in one of my university open day things. That'S it it's done much. I think it looks really really good. So thank you guys. I hope you enjoyed that, and that was really really easy and simple and quite fun. Talking to you and catching up have a lovely day guys see you again soon.
