My Favourite Hair Accessories For My Locs

Hey guys and welcome back to another video, so today i'm sharing with you guys some of my favorite lock accessories, because in the beginning i felt like i didn't do a lot with my locks because i didn't know what accessories would look cute with them or how To style it, so i'm just giving you guys some inspiration of what you can do with your lock, so you keep having fun with them, so my favorite, lock accessory, are head wraps. So in my starter lock days, i definitely wore a hair up like crazy and now i'm wearing a head wrap quite often because i'm trying to stretch out my retwist. I think i'm currently at two weeks, not that long at all, but i already feel like. I need a retwist because of my postpartum hair loss. If you haven't seen this vid that video and you're interested i'll link it above, but i do have some postpartum hair loss here, so my retwist sort of comes out very quickly and you can see a lot of frizziness here. So it looks like my whole. Head needs a re-twist when it really is just here and the rest of my locs are re-twisted and they're still looking neat after two weeks, so yeah i'm living in a head, wrap the headdress that i'm currently wearing is our balance head wrap. It'S just a gray. One, but we have 12 colors in total, so we have a few pattern ones. This is called culture. This is called empire. It'S got the little and girards on it, which i think is really cute. We'Ve got this one. It'S a purple one, and this is called crown: we've got freedom, which is a nude one. We'Ve got desire, which is a blue one. We have got empower, which is black and we've also got ancestors, which is this black one with a white um design also got this bloom head, wrap and we've got this sensual one. This one is called rooted for the root chakra and we've got this one, which is called creation, so they're, essentially just a an extra long tube, so they're very easy to put on and make cute designs with. You don't have to worry about it being too tight or too loose or it falling off like i was when i first had my logs and i've started. Doing head wraps, i do find head wraps, are sort of an essential for locks because they're great at protecting your locks and they're, definitely good at helping you stretch out your retwist and also in the beginning stages. They are great for you to just get a bit more confident because i know in the beginning, having locks can be difficult, they're very unruly, they're, very frizzy, and it's just a whole new hairstyle for you to sort of understand as well. I love them, especially shells. I have them in my hair all the time, and the only time that i take them out is, if i'm dying, my hair, so yeah they pretty much stay in my hair. I do change the locks that they are on every now and then because they do weigh down the lock. So that's one thing that you have to be um, cautious of they will weigh down your lock and it can make you look a bit thinner. So definitely switch them up every now and then um just to make sure they're not constantly on the same lock. They may feel light, but they do affect your locks and so do beads as well. But yeah love me some shells and some beads just to spice up my looks. I also like these cord um, like these braid cords. I like it when i do a bun or if i do a goddess, um braid around my head. I like to wrap this around and it just gives a little added oomph and most of these i bought from my beauty supply store, so the cords i got from my beauty, supply store and then the beads and the shelves. I also got from my beauty supply store, so my next favorite lock accessory are these crystal lock charms by unearthed um. At the moment we have aventurine red again and sunstone. I absolutely love these because they're on a nice chain, so they're not stiff, like other lock jewelry, they move around and i find they just give my locks a nice oomph and their crystals as well, so they have their own benefit in them, but yeah. These are definitely my favorite, so if you do like these, a lot charms definitely join. So my next look accessory that i just discovered are scrunchies, hair scrunchies, i'm absolutely in love. I got them in pink and purple, of course, because those are unearthed colors here we are, they are adorable and they look even better on the wrist. So i love hair scrunchies because they don't cause as much tension as normal hair bands, and i can't believe i'm just realizing this now like. How did i not get put on to hair fronties earlier and i use the satin one ones as well. I just find them easier and obviously less friction on their hair, so win-win, but i have got a lot of different colors i'll leave the link below on where i got these. So these are all the scrunchies that i got. I got a whole load of different colors. I got some normal size one and then i got some um jumbo ones, but definitely i've been tying my hair up with scrunchies all the time now, because i find they don't give me a headache. They don't call as much tension and they look cute another one of my lock accessories. I completely love are colored bobby pins, so i have a few here. I'Ve got blue red white and i like them, because you can make these cool designs on your locks like some x's or just a series of bobby pins, going down the side and it looks so cute. So those are all the accessories that i like to use to spice up my locks when i'm feeling a bit bored with them and they do spice up my look. I get so many compliments and just to let you know, locks are so versatile. I think they're, the most versatile um style i've ever had, because i don't have to worry so much about styling it every day and worrying about it.
