Curly Hair Gift Guide 2020: The Best Gifts For Curly Girls!

Hey friends, welcome back to my channel a special welcome if you are new here, i'm so excited that you're here and i hope that you are in the christmas season because i sure am i don't know about you, but as soon as halloween was over, i was Like it's christmas, so today i'm coming at you with a curly hair gift guide. I want to make it super super easy for you to buy gifts for others as well as maybe even treat yourself so i'm coming through with categories okay, we're going to discuss under 25 under 50 under 100, and then i even have a couple of products that Are a little bit over 100 for my bad and bougie peeps, so if you're interested in hearing what i feel like are like the hottest curly girl gifts this year, then just continue to watch all right. So this is going to be a little bit more than just like products single products. I found some really cute gift sets that are packaged beautifully and i'm also including one like apparel item as well as a number of hair accessories as well. So it's gon na be a little bit more than just product focus, and i promise you no matter which gift you purchase from this video they're gon na love it and if you're treating yourself, you are gon na love it. So, let's just jump in i'm gon na go ahead and get started with the 25 category. These are gifts that you can purchase for 25 and under, and it's not even going to feel cheap. It'S not going to feel like damn like you didn't want to spend on me. You know it's still going to pack, a punch still be good and your receiver, or even if it's for yourself will still really really enjoy it. So first i want to suggest not your mothers, not your mothers is a great great brand. They came out with a whole curly girl line called the curl talk collection this year, and it has been amazing. I know i haven't really come out here and done like a full review on the line, yet actually may still come through and do a review if you guys are interested, but i will say that i did generally really enjoy the collection. So now your mother's actually put together a little mini styling kit, with three stylers from the curltalk collection and guess how much it cost 9.99. It comes in like cute packaging and everything and so affordable, and it's a really great way for curly girl to just try the collection and then, if she decides that she likes it, then she can go out and purchase the full collection, which is also still pretty Affordable as well, another thing that i really love about, not your mothers, is they come through with these samples i was searching, but i feel, like i've used all my samples from them, so i will just include a little picture of it on the screen here. They have these little pouch samples that are just so good and i say they're good, because the packaging allows for a large amount of product to be in there. I hate the sample products that don't come with enough product for you to actually experience the products, especially for curly hair. If you have long curly hair like me, like those little teeny bottles like this, aren't really going to go too far, but these pouches, i literally get two washes from them. So they have some really really nice buttery rich, like just beautiful, deep treatments, and you can pick those up for 2.99 each. So you can literally go on and purchase, maybe like five samples or so or maybe even a little bit more just a bunch of different samples and then put them together. Maybe stick it in a cute little christmas packaging and boom. You got a really really nice gift that somebody is truly going to appreciate and again that sample will actually take them further than even just one use of the product. So i really 10 out of 10 recommend. I actually personally tried out the brand this way as well, just by sampling the stuff, oh my gosh, and then i ended up buying the full versions because they were that good. But it's great, it's always great to get samples as a curly girl, because you're always constantly testing and trying new things. It'S a process and any curly girl will truly appreciate it as a gift. What else we got, what else we got? I found my laptop here. I got the notes for y'all we're getting serious about this christmas shopping all right. So next i want to put y'all on to the tph by taraji holiday, bundles. They are having an amazing sale on their site right now. They have a bunch of bundles on their site that range from about 25 to 35 or so, and you get like three full-size products in the bundle, so you're really getting these products at a 20 off discount, which i think is really really dope. And i really like that they took the time to actually put bundles together, so they've, like kind of packaged together products all together that actually makes sense. Two of my favorites, which you guys would have seen in my tbh by taraji review from like months back, were these two here, so the tough cookie styling gel and the never salty scalp scrub. I love these two. There were a number of other products from her collection that i really loved as well, so you can literally go on click, click click, get a bundle, get it at a discount and then you're good to go. It really depends on the holiday bundle that you go for or the products that you use when creating your own bundle to really make sure that it stays under 25. But is it possible to stay under 25? 100? Yes, so i guess we can kind of say this is under 25, but it also could fall under the under 50 category, but we're not there. Yet. I still have a few other under 25 gifts to share with you another really nice gift that i wanted to share with you guys under 25 is the gift of silks grungy. Every curly girl knows that silk is or even satin is like the your hair needs. It okay, it's the best kind of fabric for your natural hair. Ever every other fabric is gon na encourage dryness, it's going to encourage breakage, and we just our hair is already sensitive enough. We don't want to put in that situation, so i wanted to share with you guys these beautiful silk scrunchies. Do you see the stretch on this okay? This is what we need for big, thick curly hair. I love these and i actually have been using these. For my pineapples at night, when i'm doing like a loose pineapple, i just put my hair up and then loop it around once boom. You have to worry because it is silk, it is so good. They have like a little trio called the slip silk. What'S it called the slip, silk scrunchies trio and it is for 20 bucks. It comes in the cutest little packaging. It looks like almost like the perfect stocking stuffer or something that you could hang on the trees. Something like you know, a little slick. You know, like you, know, there's actually another gift for you hanging on the tree. You know what i mean like it's so so cute love the packaging love the effort and, honestly, i feel like these are very, very much essential. So this is the next gift that i wanted to suggest and it's black owned female owned and it's a super small business and it's just it's actually a friend of mine. Her name is janae. You guys probably know her she's a youtuber and she launched her nature. Curly apparel and i'm obsessed with this shirt, i wear it at least once every couple days. It'S just so good, so comfy and it says hair type popping. So you can grab this t-shirt on her website for 22.00. That'S it and i'm telling you any curly girl is really going to appreciate that shirt. It is just so cute. You can also get this same: hair type poppin design in a crew neck version, which i love, i'm like crewneck queen. I love a good crew neck, and so you can also pick that up, but that will be 35.com. I love it, but that one's obviously going to go ahead and carry us on over into our under 50 category and so by under 50. I mean like over 25 but like still under 50., you know what i mean it's between that 25 to 50 range. So the next thing that i wanted to suggest to you guys is the pattern. Beauty, hair accessories kit, so powder beauty actually year round, has a ton of bundles that you can check out on their website. I personally you guys have seen. I haven't really had the best luck with their products in my hair, but i know some people do love them, so i definitely still suggest you check out those bundles, but the specific bundle that i actually personally love is the hair accessories bundle it's going for 38. I honestly love their hair accessories as much issues as i kind of round up on with their hair stuff. I really really love the hair accessories again coming at you with another silk scrunchie. This is another product that i kind of reach for when i'm doing my pineapples at night, so so good, so soft. So if you kind of like a more big thicker kind of scrunchie, this will definitely be the one for you. It'S not as stretchy as the slip silk. So that's just something to keep in mind if it's somebody that you're purchasing for that has big massive hair, i would say, maybe go for the more stretchy ones by slip silk. Otherwise, these will do just fine for somebody with, like, i guess, slightly more low density hair with not as much hair. You know what i mean like this will still work really really well, but yeah. The kit comes with more than just scrunchies. It comes with bobby pins. This little set here comes in a cute little case, which is really nice for curly girl, because we are notorious for losing our bobby pins. So i love the fact that it comes in this cute little case and it also comes with a few regular scrunchies as well as a really nice claw clip. So it's a cute little bundle with all the hair accessories that you'll probably ever need by 10. On 10 recommend under 50 great gift all right. Next, let's talk about these super cute gift sets by a black owned brand that is available at sephora. Oh, my gosh, i'm obsessed with these, i'm pretty sure you can buy these directly from their website as well, but i mean how cute the packaging is just right and it literally is like it's packaged for christmas. So it's not just like a regular, regular bundle. It'S christmas themed and i absolutely love it. You guys have seen me rave about briogeo over and over and over and over again i particularly love their hair treatments and that's what they made the bundles of their hair treatments. It'S great! So this one here retails for 36 usd - and i think that's an amazing price because you get the full size product here in the middle and then you get two sample sizes of two of my other favorite of their math, like you can't lose with this and Any curly girl who would receive this would really smile, and it's even better that it is black and female owned. I love it, so this is called their merry multi masking set, and then they also have a detox and restore set as well. These are full size, products, hon, okay - and this has my all time - ultimate favorite hair mask in here. It'S their, don't despair, repair, hair, mask y'all, it's so good, and i love that it comes in a full size, it's also in here, but it is sample size. So if you kind of wanted to opt for more of like a full-size product option, this is it right here. They also have their briogeo scalp revival, micro, exfoliating shampoo as well. I have yet to try it. I think i might keep this for myself actually so that i can try this and let you guys know, but honestly, i love briogeo and i i really feel like there. You can't do wrong if you get somebody briogeo for christmas, oh because this one is full size, it does retail for a little bit more. It is 49, but still under 50.. Okay, so you can still stay within budget. Actually, it's really extra good. If you want to purchase this for yourself, i definitely support it, because it's a 78 dollar value and you're getting it for 49 usd. So if you've been watching my videos and you wanted to try their stuff a little bit more 10 out of 10 recommend another under 50 gift is gon na. Be this gel right here and you know i wasn't really planning on putting single products on here, because you kind of want to buy somebody a little bit more than a single product, but this one hits a little different. Okay, this is a new brand. Well, it's new to sephora at least so it's kind of new to me. I'Ve never heard of it before they launched in sephora. They are black and female owned, and when i tell you like, i feel like this gel has gone a little bit viral. It'S a creamy type of gel and i feel like people with type 4 hair, have had the most success with this gel. So this is the only single product in here that i'm going to suggest for you to buy somebody as a christmas gift. Because, honestly, it is so like i've just heard so many good things about it. I'Ve only had a chance to use it. Once myself and i will say i enjoyed it, but i still want a little bit more time to kind of play around with it. Personally. So you guys can stay tuned for more videos coming up with this gel for sure, but i definitely would still suggest giving this to somebody as a christmas gift, because i think they will not. I think i know they will absolutely love it. Chances are. They are curly girl with either type 3 or type 4 hair. They have heard about this gel so when they open the gift up and they see it, they are going to be excited for sure i'ma just keep coming through with the black owned female owned brands. Okay, because these are my favorite - these are amazing and they are coming through for us y'all they are coming through. So this is bread, beauty supply, another brand that you guys have heard me raving about recently on my channel. Absolutely oh, i'm obsessed with this brand anything. They bring out i'm buying it, because it's that good, so i wanted to suggest as a gift purchasing the full-size versions of their hair mask and their hair wash so good. It is a brand new brand. So these are the two products i think there's also one more product that they have. I think it's the oil, but you guys know how i feel about standalone oils. I don't really use them that often um, so they only have three products out so to buy someone two out of the three, i think is still a really really nice christmas gift. You can buy one of each for a total of 48 dollars, which brings us right under that 50 budget. Perfect, you would be buying these singly, though, so you would need to maybe use those extra two dollars from a 50 budget to purchase like a cute little gift bag or something to stick these in but y'all. These are my favorites. It'S like basically wash day essentials. You got your cleanser and your deep conditioner, it's so good, and the packaging like this is another brand that is really starting to like pump up on social media. It'S just it's just amazing, again, 10 out of 10 recommend. So, let's move right on into our under 100 categories: this is going to be above 50, but still under 100.. So, let's go back to talk about agile, okay, a new brand! Again, that's kind of you know really going viral really doing like amazing things for the type 3 and type 4 girls. If you wanted to give your girl a little bit more than just the gel, i would suggest going and purchasing three products from there and giving them like a nice little. A nice little set create the set yourself and just buy the single products and do it you can get this for under a hundred. So i'm looking at the products right here on my laptop, so i can tell you exactly which ones i would suggest if you wanted to get like the top three most essential, ajwa beauty products. So it's going to be the bowman moisturizing shampoo, then their balance deep conditioning treatment. So you got your cleanser, your deep conditioner and then boom. You add that gel in and you are good to go. That would come up to a total of 90 bucks. So under 100 you can maybe use that extra ten dollars in your budget of a hundred dollars to then get a really nice little gift bag so that it actually looks really really nice. But again, you cannot go wrong with giving a curly girl full size products for christmas all right, especially if it's three for my brand new black owned female owned brand. It'S just oh, i um. I support it. It would be amazing, also another quick tip. A lot of these products that i'm mentioning here are from sephora and if you are a vib member, if you have enough points, i think it's at least like 500 points you need. You can use 500 points towards getting 10 off your order. So try saving up your points. You can get a little bit of money off when you're buying additional christmas gifts or even just treating yourself, because that's okay too back to bread beauty. They have a really nice wash day, essentials kit, which has all of their products in there they're slightly smaller sizes, but again they're the type of sample sizes. That will definitely give you at least more than one application with the size that they come in, like it's. Not like super super tiny sample where it's like a drop of product. You know it's like it's substantial for sure, so their essentials kit literally comes with everything that the brand has to offer currently, which is their hair, mask the hair, wash they have silk scrunchies as well, which is awesome and then their hair oil to top it all Off it all comes in a cute little box and boom, you just wrap that up and somebody will be really excited to open that up on christmas day. I'M just getting all warm and fuzzy thinking about people opening these as gifts on christmas day and being like. Oh, my gosh, like giving people the gift of healthy, beautiful curls that they could be proud of priceless honestly, it's so good, so this set retails for 58. So that way they can try everything that the brand has to offer for only 58. It'S actually 72 dollars worth of value that you're getting at a really good price. So again definitely recommend, oh my gosh, so you guys, i totally forgot to let you guys know that bread beauty supply also has an under 25 dollar gift option that comes in this cute bag, so i'm gon na just i'm gon na just slide it in right. Here, okay, this actually retails for 24, so you get a mini version of the hair, wash i'm obsessed with a mini version of the mask that i'm also obsessed with with some scrunchies in here and this cute little bag love it love it love it. It is all there and i'm super picky with this list, so i'm only including things that i would genuinely spend my hard earned money on all right and then i also have another blog post that has my favorite sephora gift sets also for hair, skin and makeup. As well both of these lips, i'm constantly adding to pretty much like every day and just every time that i try something that is like amazing, life-changing like holy grail. I have one more in this category to suggest for you guys, and that is back to our pattern, beauty. You need to have it, and this is actually my number one favorite microfiber towel ever out of all the brands everywhere. I really think that getting a package by pattern - beauty, which is a brand by tracy ellis ross - you can't go wrong. You literally can't go wrong with that or if you need some tools, this is really great way to get it at ten dollars off. Another great gift that just comes packaged together in a really nice cute bundle all right, so this is futureless here coming at you. I literally can't even believe i skipped this off the list, but i was not about to put out this video without including another one of my favorite brands, which is curl smith. They have a ton of bundles that are really great. There are two in particular that i really wanted to suggest for you guys and yes, this does fall under the under 100 category. So first is their scalp system. You can get this entire set for 69 bucks. It'S just honestly. So good everything about curlsmith in general is just so good. They'Re ingredients top notch for curly girls, and this scalp system is, unlike anything, that i've ever seen from any other brand. I received it personally use it myself and absolutely love, so i would definitely suggest this and then there's also another bundle that i wanted to suggest, which is their coil styler heroes, kit. This has two of my all-time like favorite favorite favorite girl, smith products in there, which is their co-wash, and then this in shower style, fixer gel i've never personally used the curl conditioning oil in cream products, but i would actually love to try it honestly. You just can't go wrong with girl smith, anything whatsoever from curlsmith, i 10 out of 10 recommend, and i always just trust their brand - a thousand percent, because they are that committed to making sure their products are filled with top-notch ingredients that are perfect for curly girls. So for this set, you can get those three full-size products for 78 dollars. I really genuinely believe that both of these bundles would also make very amazing christmas gifts, so i had to just add this on in here. I can't believe i forgot it, but here you go i'll, make sure it's all linked below in the description box, for you as well now for the last, but certainly not least, i have two bad and bougie gifts. That would be. Oh, you better, really love this person super hard, because these are going to be over a hundred dollars. These are going to be the two gifts. So first is the slip beauty sleep set. Oh so slip is the same silk scrunchies that i mentioned a little bit earlier on. They also have a beauty sleep set where it includes a really nice silk pillowcase. This is my favorite soap pillowcase ever. I actually personally received this last year as a christmas gift, and i don't use any other soap pillowcase. I just love it that much their silk is expensive. I mean you can tell by the price, because this gift set actually retails for 122 dollars, but their silk just hits different. It'S not the cheap kind of thick silk, it's just thin and it just oh. It just feels so nice and buttery on your skin. It'S good for your hair. It'S like you, can't go wrong with this. It is really really good, so the set comes with the pillowcase and also with a sleep mask. So if you do like to sleep with those eye masks, it comes with one in that same delicious buttery, silky, uh, heavenly fabric, and i know you're probably side. I mean right now, like girl, that's a lot of money for a pillowcase, but it's really good. So, if you're feeling bougie, if you want to just make someone feel really really good, these are hundred dollar pillowcases. Would i probably purchase it myself? I don't know, but the fact that i received it a gift i loved it, which is how i know that if you buy this for somebody else as a gift, they're gon na absolutely love it too, all right. So, my last, but certainly not least, baddest and most bougie gift that i'm going to mention in this entire video is going to be the dyson supersonic gift set. It is. This is expensive. This is expensive, this actually retails for 3.99. It does come in a really nice set with some extra accessories as well, as you know, the diffuser head and all of that stuff, but you all know how much i love my dyson again. I didn't purchase it myself. I did also receive this dyson as a gift, but ever since then i threw away all of my other blow dryers all of my other diffusers, and this is what i use i swear by it. It is so good and it comes in this big old, beautiful box. Like imagine opening this big old box from underneath the christmas tree, it's just it's the most glorious gift you could ever give to a curly girl ever it's so good and honestly, i 1000 think it's worth it if you guys want to see it in action. In comparison with another blow dryer, i did do a little comparison. Video, so you guys can go ahead and check that out as well. But generally i just i love this blow dryer so much it keeps my hair healthy. I don't have to worry about heat damage with it, and my curls are never frizzy with it and it gets the job done really quickly. I do genuinely believe it's worth the price and it will last you years on end so yeah there you go. That is your ultimate 2020 curly girl gift guide. You honestly don't need to spend the 400, though really and truly my little advice to you is it put more thought than money into a gift. It'S really the thought. At the end of the day, people are gon na, be like wow like you're, so thoughtful. You thought about a gift for me because i'm a curly girl, you know what i mean like you, don't have to spend the big bucks. You really don't.
