Hello: everyone today, I'm going to show you how to crochet this super easy and quick headband. It'S very, very easy, we'll be using a very simple stitch to crochet this beautiful headband, and then I will show you how to make the twist. It'S very very easy. It'S a great pattern for beginners: it works up really fast. We will be using a chunky yarn for this, so you have it done in no time, and I hope you can see how beautiful the twist looks like and, like I said it's very, very easy and a great project for beginners, and now I will show you What we need and how to crochet this beautiful twist headband today, I'm using a 7 millimeter crochet hook. You will also need a pair scissors, a yarn needle and today, I'm using Lion Brand color made easy yarn. It'S a super big skein of yarn and I just love the colors. This is a bulky, yarn, 5 bulky yarn and it's a hundred percent acrylic yarn and, like you can see, we have to 147 new yards. So it's a pretty big skein and they have those in so many different, beautiful colors, and I decided to use this beautiful Brown. It'S like a more Brown gold color and I just really really love it, and this is of course, the same yarn from Lion Brand. Color made easy just in a different color, and now I will show you how to crochet this beautiful headband. We will start with a slipknot and for my hairband I crochet 15 chains, so you will grab the yarn pull through grab the yarn pull through, and I will repeat this until I have my 15 chains, so just 15 chains - and I will see you back in Just a moment the desired with I need for my headband, of course, if you use a different yarn, you crochet as many chains as you want to get the width you need for your headband and now we will start our first row and it's super super easy. So the loop on the hook does not count as a stitch and we will need the second stitch from the hook. So one and two now we will insert a hook into the second stitch grab. The yarn pull up two loops on the hook, grab the yarn and pull through. We will be working in single crochets, so insert your hook into the next stitch. Grab the yarn pull up two loops on your hook, grab the yarn and pull through two, and you will repeat this in every stitch, just one single crochet in every stitch. Until you reach your last stitch - and I will see you back in just a moment - I just finished all my single crochets and we should have a total of fourteen stitches all the way along and it's super easy to count. All you have to do is count the little bees so one two three four: five: six: seven, eight nine ten, eleven twelve thirteen and fourteen - and of course you should have fourteen stitches in every row. So for the next row you will always chain one turn. Your work around and you will repeat the first two row in this very first stitch here. You will insert your hook: grab the yarn, pull up and work your single crochet go into the next stitch. Grab the yarn pull up and work a single crochet and you will work one single crochet and every stitch all the way along, and I will see you back at the end of this room. Almost at the end of my row and the last stitch looks a little bit weird. It doesn't really look like a stitch, but you can see we don't have a straight edge here. So it's important to finish the last stitch into the last stitch here and always make sure you have two loops on your hook for the last stitch. So, just like that, grab the yarn pull up and work a single crochet, and now you can see we have a straight edge and we have fourteen stitches, and this is the row we will be repeating through this whole pattern so chain. One turn your work around and now one single crochet in every stitch into the very first stitch here we will work our first single crochet and now were just one single crochet in every stitch. So it's a super super easy pattern and it works up so fast with this chunky yarn. So just crochet, one single crochet in every stitch, and I will show you one more time how the last stitch looks like so just repeat: one single crochet in every stitch. Yeah at the end of my row and again don't forget the last stitch so just insert your hook, you see we have two loops on the hook, grab the yarn pull up and finish your single crochet. Now you will chain one again turn your work around and repeat the row, one single crochet in every stitch and just make sure that you have the same amount of stitches in every row and you will repeat working this row over and over again until you reach Your desired head size, I will keep crocheting and I will show you in just moment how my headband looks like I repeated the row over and over again, and this is how my piece looks like right now. I will just measure it out with fast to show you how white and how long my headband is. So I have here four and a half inches wide, and now I will measure the length of it. So I have here about 20 and a half inches. This is for my head size just make sure if you tried on that, it's not too loose or too too tight, and when you're done with your desired length, we can start sewing our headband together to finish off. We will just chain one and pull tight, and now we leave a little bit of a longer tail just because we needed to sew the headband together. So just leave a little bit of longer tail like that cut your yarn grab the hook and pull through all the way and pull tight, and now all we have to do. This is so in the first end from the very beginning, and we can start sewing our headband together now I will grab my yarn needle pull the yarn through and now here's our headband. We will fold it in half like that. We will grab the left side and fold it like this. We will do exactly the same on the other side, and now what we are going to do is grab the right piece and slide it in between the other piece. But in the other hat bands we were sliding it all the way through, like that. If you watch my other tutorials, but for this one we will be going just half way. So I will show you one more time so for the left for the right side and now go in just like that and like this. So you can see. We have two openings here here and here and this part we will be sewing together. First, so you have opening here and an opening here. I show you one more time just to make sure you can see it, since the yarn is a little bit darker so fold, it put it in the middle. Just like that. You have an opening here and the opening, and now we will grab our hook, our yarn needle and push it so we are on the outside and now we will sew this part here together and we will leave the two openings open for now. So, just so in this middle part, here now we can start so in the middle part together. Just this part here, the two openings stay open, so just insert your needle and go through all four layers. Just the opening stay like that, we will just sew in the middle part, so I'm just going up and down all the way until I finished sewing in the middle part, and then I will do one more row back just to make sure it's all nice and Secure you can see I'm going through all four layers, just pull it through. I have one more stitch here left and this middle part is closed and just like, I said, just to make sure it's not going to open up on me. I will repeat this one more time and I will go back so you can see I'm just going back one more time through all four layers, just to make sure all nice and secure and so on the middle part. Together now you can see we have those two openings and what we are going to do is turn it, and we have an opening here and the other opening here. We will fold this one down and fold the other side down. Just like that, and now we can sew those two pieces together and that's all we have to do and now just grab you your needle and go through the both layers. Just make sure the one side you grab to one side and the opposite side. Just like this, the two openings just hold them together like this, and this is the way we'll be sewing it together. I won't do it exactly the same way like I did, the other, the middle part, so just go up and down all the way. Until it's closed and then I will do one row back just to make sure it's all nice and secure here on this part too, so insert go through and pull through and two more stitches, and I will be done with this side here so again. Insert pull through on the other side and pull through well. Here is my last stitch pull through and, like I mentioned now, I will do it one more time, just to make sure it's not going to open up on me so again insert pull through all the way alone. I'M here at the end of this row, and now all I have to do is sew in my end, so I will just go through a couple of stitches one time and then one more time just to make sure it's all nice and secure one more time And then we can cut the yarn so go through, and now we can cut the yarn so just grab your scissors pull tight and cut it. All we have to do is just turn it around and we are done. Look at this beautiful and super super easy twist. I really hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Thank you. So much for watching have a great time, crochet and I hope to see you back soon. Bye,
