Hi guys welcome back to my channel, so today i'm going to show you guys how i do one of my go-to hairstyles. This is one of my favorite protective styles for my 4c. Here there is no added hair. This is all my hair and i'm going to show you guys how i do it step by step with my funky's daughter products. So if you're not already, subscribers go ahead and click that subscribe button down below and let's jump straight into the video hi guys welcome back to my channel. So today, i'm going to show you guys how i do this style on my 4c natural hair with no added hair. You guys know my go-to hairstyle is loose twist twists in general. I keep my hair in twisty lots. I'M always experimenting with different twisted styles. So this is the latest one that i've come up with, so i'm going to show you guys how i did the entire thing from start to finish, washing my hair, deep conditioning, how i did the sections every single thing, and i'm also going to show you guys How i did this hairstyle with my funky duster products, if you're not really subscribed, please go ahead and click that subscribe button down below and let's jump straight into the video okay. So my hair is quite dirty, so we're gon na start with cleansing. I'M gon na be using the rich and funky moisturizing cleanser and it's for all natural hair types. Actually all hair types - people straight hair can use this. It'S a very nice moisturizing cleanser! That'S going to cleanse your hair cleanse your scalp remove all the dirt. You build up the oils without drying out your hair. Excessively, you know that very dry squeaky, stripped feeling that you get from some shampoos um. This one doesn't make your hair feel like that at all. Your hair actually feels quite nice. It feels soft a bit. It feels quite luxurious when you're like running your hands through the hair as you're washing it and as you can see it lagers really nicely and also make sure that you focus the shampoo on your scalp, because you want to get a lot of the dirt and The build up and sweat and all of that clean from your scalp, some of the key ingredients in this shampoo are um willow. Bark willow back is good for detoxifying, and it's also good for exfoliating your scalp. So if you have a lot of dry scalp issues, a lot of dead skin cells in your scalp, that is going to help to remove all of that, and that in turn helps to stimulate hair growth. It also contains comfrey and rosemary, which also helps to nourish and stimulate your scalp as well. So the shampoo not only cleanses your hair, but it also helps to stimulate blood flow to your scalp. So after i'm done, i'm just going to rinse all of that out and after i'm done rinsing my hair, i go straight into deep conditioning. I don't even get out of the shower. I do ride in the shower. I'Ve started doing that recently this year. Actually i started that last year, but yeah. I do that because my hair is low porosity and, as you can see, there's a lot of steam in the shower so that helps to open up my cuticle so that it absorbs whatever is on my hair. The deep conditioner i'm using is the heel and renew intensive hair mask again. This also works on all hair types, and i've actually featured this in my favorite products video. I love this deep conditioner. It feels amazing in my hair, feels amazing on my scalp. It has this very minty tingly feeling that helps to stimulate blood flow to your scalp and just makes your scalp feel healthy. I guess so yeah, it's good for people that have scalp irritations as well. It'S good for detangling, especially for someone like me that likes to finger detangle, and it also helps to strengthen your hair and also helps to repair damage here a bit because it's actually a little bit of protein in this. That is going to help to fill up any cracks or any like um spaces in your hair strand, and it contains two protein. It contains organic aloe vera baobab oil, avocado oil, which also helps to really keep your hair lubricated. Keep your hair healthy and just revive your hair. It also contains fatty alcohols and conditioning ingredients and like behind the ammonium metal sulfate. It contains argan oil, grapeseed oil, um, olive oil, rosemary peppermint oil lavender. So there are a lot of really nice conditioning oils and ingredients in this. I love this for my hair um, especially if you have very dry hair. This is something that you should definitely try. I use this a lot. During the winter, i've been deep conditioning my hair every week. Now i started doing that um late november, and it's something that my hair has really benefited from. I'Ve noticed way less split ends and breakage after i'm done applying one. Another thing i've been doing is that when i'm done applying, i just run the water again so that the steam comes up, and i don't let the water touch. My hair, just like the steam circulates so that um the deep conditioner absorbs more into my hair. Then i tie with the plastic cap and leave it in then rinse it out. So my hair is rinsed out and now we're about to start styling. So, first i'm going to start with moisturizing i'm going to be using thirstyko, which, which is a leave-in conditioning spray that contains ingredients like chamomile, um, coconut milk plants, flour extract and herbs and stuff, like that, that's really going to hydrate your hair deeply. Next, i'm taking extra butter, my hair loves extra butter because my strands are very thick, so i like stuff - that is very emollient. That'S going to help to soften my hair strand, and this does that and it contains palm kernel. Oil, coconut oil, um glycerin, which is a humectant that draws moisture to your hair, contains aloe vera contains shea butter and nice fatty alcohols. As you can see, a lot of emollients are going to really soften your hair strand and helps to keep moisture in your hair, and it also contains water as the first ingredients as well. Good moisturizer should contain water as the first three ingredient. One of the first three ingredients, so i decided to use these products because, whenever i'm doing a protective style, i always want to make sure that my hair is thoroughly cleansed thoroughly deep, conditioned and thoroughly moisturized. Before i do my style, because it is the stuff that i want to wear for a long time, i don't want to worry about my hair getting dry in the style like what's the point of your protective stuff, your hair is going to be dry right whenever I'M doing a protective style or with my hair, i use my best products. So after i'm done applying section by section i twist up my hair, and another thing i've been doing is that i go ahead and tie my hair with the plastic bag. I didn't show it in the video, but i tied my hair with the plastic bag and leave it for like at least two hours for everything to soak in it makes my hair super soft for styling. So i'm going to show you guys how i do my sections pay attention to these parts. So, as you can see, there is a curved section like that, and then we have the front piece and that front piece they're going to be four sections: four horizontal sections. If this part is confusing just watch as i'm doing the hairstyle, should i be able to see the sectioning much clearer. So that's the front portion that we're going to be flat twisting now for the next section we're going to do like a circle in the middle of our head. The circle i mean it depends on the size that you want. That'S the size that i chose. I'M going to tell you why we do that circle later on, but the rest of our hair we're just going to do sections going from that circle down to the perimeter of our hairline. So, as you can see, it starts from the circle down to the hairline and i have 11 sections in total, going around seven on one side and four on my right side: seven on my left side for my right side. So now i'm going i'm about to start flat twisting so i'm gon na start working on the um back flat twist. First, this is the shuku portion. The part that's going to go up in andrea, ricotta shoku, so that is the part i'm doing. First, i'm doing the shuku side first, so you just flat twist i mean you can braid if you want to braid, but i prefer flat twisting it's much easier for me, so i tend to flatten. This is the part our flat twisting going up so like i said that is the shuku part and for the rest of this video, i'm going to be calling this shuku so just know what i'm talking about so there's something i do whenever i'm flat twisting. That makes makes flat twisting very easy for me, especially if you have very kinky hair that can easily get tangled to avoid breakage. I didn't show it in this video because i didn't want this video to be too long, but if you clicked at the top, i showed it in detail in the video there. So if you want to see how i um prep my hair before i start flat, twisting click that video and watch that video, so i'm doing my flat twist now i'm working on the back portion - and i always do my sections before i actually start doing my Hair just makes everything much easier for me, so i'm done doing the left side and i'm going to go ahead and do the rest of my flat twists. So these are all the flat twists for the shuku portion. As you can see, now we're going to do that middle circle now. The reason why i decided to leave that um here in the middle is because, whenever you're doing it's not like this, especially if you have very kinky hair that shrinks a lot um, this hair in the middle is going to create more volume because, as you can See we only have like 11 flat twists going around, but if you want to have more volume for when we do the bun, you can do more twists in the middle of your hair. That'S just going to add to the amount of twists you have just give it it just it just makes it look fuller. It just gives you more volume, especially if you have like um, thinner hair, that just gives you the illusion of more volume. I personally don't really need to do this, but i tend to include in the video for people that have um less voluminous hair. So it's just going to make the ponytail parts fuller. I guess i did four twists. You can do, however, many twists that you like. I just did four, so we are done doing the shuku portion the flat twist around plus the twist in the middle, and that is how it's looking so now we're going to start working on the front portion so for the front we're just going to do flat. Twist again, this style is a very flat twist centered style. So if you can't flat twist, i'm really really sorry. You can watch flat twist tutorials on youtube, and i've actually done one on my channel before just to learn how to flat twist or let me know if you guys want me to do another flat twist tutorial, but yeah. This style is basically flat twists all the way, but if, like i said, if you want to braid, if you're better at braiding, you can definitely braid. So i'm just going to do my four flat twists in front. So i hope you guys paid attention to this. Sectioning, so if you want to replicate this hairstyle, you know how to do the sections you see where all the twists are at you see where, like the placement of all the twists and everything, so this is my last flat twist almost done this actually didn't. Take me that long to do to be honest, the actual flat twisting part took me about an hour and a half all together, maybe four hours to section and then do my flat twist, no not even up to for like three hours or so, and that's because I did my hair by myself and i kept stopping in between, but this is how all my twists are. Looking the flashes at the back, the flat twist in front. Everything is looking nice. So now i went ahead and did my makeup and we're going to tie the shoku portion into a bun. I actually wanted to leave the ends hanging, but i decided to do a bonus last minute, but i'm gon na do another video, showing you guys how the hairstyle looks. If you leave the ends hanging, if you don't do it into a bun, but as you can see, the bun is bigger because of those twists that we did in the middle that just gives it more volume. So for the front portion, we're gon na add some beads and um yeah. These are beads. I get them from my local beauty. Supply store, i'm using the gold and the black and the pack of beads comes with the white beader, so you just use it to attach the beads to your hair. You watch my videos. You'Ve seen me. Do this a million times, so you probably already know what to do at this part so yeah! This is the final look. This is the final hairstyle. I absolutely love how this thing turned out and when i was thinking about it in my head, i was hoping it would turn out like this and it did um. This is a very nice protective style and then the truck i'm wearing. I actually made it myself. I make chokers like this whenever i'm bored but yeah, i'm glad that i did this hairstyle it's so nice, i'm going to be wearing it for quite some time and when i want to moisturize my hair, i'm just simply going to spray thirsty curl on it. Just to keep my hair hydrated, okay, thank you guys so much for watching um. This is how i do my go to hairstyle, i'm very, very big, on twisted styles for 4c hair, because it helps as it serves as a protective stuff for our hair. My hair is twisted like every single time. The only time my hair isn't too set is when i have to film content for a video or something like that. I keep my hair twist a lot and i honestly feel like that is one of the reasons why i've been able to retain a lot of length over the years, because my hair is twisted, it's moisturized. I don't have to touch it. It'S protected. The ends are tucked in so yeah. I feel like this is one of the um most efficient protective styles for firstly, hair. I'Ve done so many loose twist styles on my channel, so i'm going to put everything in a playlist and you can click down below in the description box or click the add the top for the playlist. So to see all my different loose, 3 styles. So you can see the ones that work better for your hair length and your hair thickness um yeah. I'M going to keep my hair like this for about three weeks to a month. All i'm just going to be doing is oiling my scalp. I made sure that my hair was thoroughly cleansed and deep, conditioned and moisturized before i did this hairstyle so that it would last me for a long time.
