I am Nick shale and it's been an entire year of me faithfully using rosemary oil as well as argan oil, on top of my scalp on my hair, to see if it will reverse hair loss. This is fastening, so here we are Christmas. 2017. I started this Christmas Day 2016 a whole year. Not only have I been faithfully applying this stuff on my hair, but I've been faithfully documenting it along the way. So this is the book, and this is the final video I'm doing for this year-long journey to discover whether or not this is helping my hair loss situation at all, and so I guess I'll have to make a playlist and a blog and show the before. If you haven't seen that already, but this is for anyone who's already seen all of where I came from on this, so what I'm gon na do, I'm gon na actually go in and I have a similar hairstyle. As I did a year ago, I mean it was about a two or three on the sides in the back and was about two two and a half inches on top, so I'm just gon na kind of slowly turn around. Let you get different angles of my hair and any possible thinning, because there I was definitely putting a lot on the back there and I definitely had thinning in here as well I'll lift it up my hair here I mean so I mean my hairline still does. Go back there, but if anything, though, has maybe this caused my hair to stop thinning to the degree that it was and maybe is it actually thicker than it was a year ago now, because the hairline isn't really the problem as much as the thinning was, you Can get away with a lot having this hairline, but once you have thinning that's when it can, things start crumbling apart as far as the appearance goes on on hairstyles and what limitations you have so I'm gon na answer the question: has it helped and that's not As important as your response, which is what you think as far as whether it's helped I'm gon na actually say it's helped, and I say that reluctantly, because I'm not selling essential oils. I'M not doing this to try to sell a product at all. And I've been very vocal about the fact that I'm only doing this because I'm not selling a product, no one in the history of the internet or YouTube, has made a video faithfully documenting this whole process of rosemary and argan oil to stop hair loss and then At the same time, not trying to sell you something I have no essential oil to sell you use whatever brand you want. I'Ve been using different brands along the way, hey just whatever brand you want to get get it, but whoever sells a certain brand is gon na. Tell you that their brands, the best Nick shell, says, hey I've used them all. All year I haven't been faithful to certain brand. It'S all the same to me now. What do you think, if you have seen me a year ago, if you see me at the beginning of this journey, if you've looked at the blog post, that I'm gon na put in the description of this, if you're looking at the plate, if you've seen the Playlist on YouTube that I'm that I've made for this showing how it start at the beginning. What do you think? Can you tell the difference similar hairstyle they're, basically just a disconnected part compared to a year ago - and I didn't have that, does my hair look? Thicker, does my hairline look better? No, maybe my hairline could look better just because my hair looks thicker. I want you. To be honest. I mean it's not like. You'Re gon na hurt my feelings. It'S not like. I was doing this so that oh, no I'm losing my hair. I better do this to stop the real reason I did. This was a social experiment. I wanted to be the first person and I am the first person in the history of the world to ever. Try this out without trying to sell anybody anything without some kind of agenda. So that's why I want your honest answer. If you say Nick I've watched the other videos, I've seen you before you kind of like the same buddy cool. I want to know. I want to know the truth. If you say Nick you're gon na actually looks worse, your hairline went up since you sure did okay, tell me or if you say Nick, I kinda have to agree with you. Your hair definitely looks thicker, even though it's pretty much the same length as it was a year ago. I have to agree with you see yeah, you know that's my decision. I think ultimately, it's I'll put this way. I'M gon na keep using it, not for the sake of trying to save my hair, but if I've used it for a year in it and I feel like I can see that it's worked, why not just keep using it? What'S it gon na hurt, you know, I'm not really spending any money, it's it's the less time than brushing my teeth. Every night before I go to bed anyway, I'm gon na continue to do it. I don't know how much that I'll really continue. You know record the journey. I don't know how important that is, because I've done the whole year, but the fact that I'm gon na keep doing it, I think, speaks a message there that I, while I'm skeptical, because I'm not the guy who wants to believe in some kind of you know, Smoke and mirrors type of thing. I don't want to believe in that stuff, I'm very reluctant to attach myself my identity to something like that. But if I had to say yes, it's working, no, it's not I'm gon na leading toward it seems like it is hoping, but again, most importantly, is what you say in the comments you be the judge. I care about what my twenty six hundred subscribers have to say about it. You a lot of you have been with me for this whole journey for the past year of me doing this, I care what you have to say about it now, keep in mind one curve ball. That I've this thrown in here is is that I am a vegan and I think even that could be helping slow down my hair loss as well, because I self like diagnosed myself as Norwood 3 at age 30, I'm 36 and a half. Now I can't became a vegan at age 31. So, most of the time I've been on the track of really closer to balding and losing hair. I'Ve also been a vegan, that's possible that could even slow it down as well. I'M gon na continue using the oil. I'M scared, I'm skeptical, but I'm gon na keep using it. That'S my answer. So there you go, did it work, hurt it or not? I'M gon na say yes, but I'm also skeptical, because I don't want to be labeled as the guy who is making a big deal about something that there's no proof of. Well guess what I guess. I'M the only proof that there is because no one else is willing to do this experiment without trying to sell you. Something now leave a comment. I want to see what you vote is that rosemary with Oregon oil working to make no difference or is it not working vote? Did it work did not vote same. I care what you have to say and remember: I'm the first ever man in history to ever faithfully apply rosemary argan oil to try to stop hair loss without selling something and recording at the tire time. No one has ever done this until now, thanks to Nick shell next show

M Kuti-Childress: I saw the before and after photos, and I don’t think they necessarily tell the whole story, because his hair was actually longer in the “before” shot. I think that might hide some of the improvement. I’d grow my hair out a little more and take the “after” photos again to see if it looks even better. Appreciate the video.

Kookie Bun: My mom has been using rosemary oil & castor oil since November. The combination seems to work as she has less hair loss & with some new hair growth. Not massive improvement but we can definitely see the difference.

CYMOИKA: THANK YOU NICK! Finally, someone willing to share from the heart, no agenda. Continue to be comprehensive in you videos and statement of intent. Goodness begets goodness. It takes courage to undertake a project and put yourself out there—something MANY wouldn’t have the courage or patience to do. You look great! Bravo!

Harry Hour: Hey, Nick. You actually inspired me to remove the amazon links that I had placed in the descriptions of my hair regrowth videos. Like you, I don't want to give off the wrong impression by showing that I have some monetary ulterior motive to address. You're the best, man. Keep at it!

cashPlanets: I just appreciate that you make a video that is an honest video without trying to sell anything. Thumbs up

Malachi Van Haynes: I think your hair looks thicker, healthier, improved hairline. I've been using the oil a week with other oils, not argan, and definitely seeing an improvement in hair quality so far. Also better skin. I think the Rosemary is the key ingredient. Thanks for sharing

Robert: The most interesting twist here is that you'll continue using the rosemary, given your "baldness advocating," skepticism of hair loss treatments, not wanting to be a "slave" to any product, often-expressed desire to go bald, etc. It's helped you retain the hair you have and slowed down the balding process, imo. How long will it remain effective? Only time will tell.

EL10: Hi When your hair started to fall out did you check your ferritin and iron levels? I’m diagnosed with Telogen Effluvium and lost 80% of my hair over 14 months. I’m losing hundreds of hairs all over the scalp everyday including eyelashes, eyebrows and even body hair. My nails are white and doesn’t grow. I was vegetarian for 10 years. My ferritin was first 30( normal range is 20-320 for men). then through the year my iron levels in the blood dropped, then I started to take iron pills for months but ferritin only went up to 50 and then my hemoglobin started to be lower than the normal range. Now my dr put me on liquid iron. did you monitor your iron levels through this process?

Shelly Reynolds: I'd just say it has nothing to do with smoke, and mirrors it's a known fact that MANY natural oils, and herbs will assist you with multiple hair, and skin care benefits. This is the way our Ancestor's took care of themselves, so of course it's reality, not fantasy.

Superman’s Wife: Thanks Nick, yes your hair looks a little thicker! At the very least it’s definitely not thinner!! Good for you my husband just started using rosemary + argon oil today. Two weeks ago he started taking cologne, fish oil and vitamin B complex (on the advice of Dr. Axe) and his hair looks fuller and shinier. I’m excited to see what the rosemary treatment does. Thanks again for sharing

Joey T: I can tell by the energy of his first words that it worked look at his smirk lol he is really happy and I’m happy for him

Uga Lukker: Thanks man, appreciate your video. i’ll probably use it with castor or emu oil, or in a mix with both. I’ve also started using Trinov since the beginning of this year. How often do u use oils and for how long do you leave them on your head? Do you wash them off with shampoo after?

Joyful Selah: There are some studies on mice and a few other oils have come out that may help (making a mixture). Peppermint for circulation, cedarwood, lavender, lemongrass, etc. I think there's a difference but I struggled to tell since the haircut was so different from each time. Whatever the case, loving the dedication and trying something natural. Definitely not enough people have tried this!

Rebecca NC: Rosemary oil definitely works. Not only does it work but also peppermint oil. Both of these oils stopped my hair loss. It took two weeks of use every day.

Abundantia: Your video is authentic. Thank you for your service. It looks darker and thicker. The thing is essential oils and herbs are not a magic pill. It takes consistency. Detoxing may be another thing which herbs take a shorter period of time. Rosemary oil is also good for adrenal fatigue.

D D L: Your hair ooks PERFECT! You'd Never Guess you ever had Any hair issues ever !

Rozsa- Read Girl: I just mixed rosemary oil, neem oil and castor oil. It feels amazing and tingly from the rosemary. I feel like slaying it all over the place ... Your hair does look nicer!

Mehdi: ITS TRUE! But you need to add only peppermint oil for optimum results. The rosemary oil blocks the DHT in the hairfolicles, the peppermint oil open up the hair follicle and activates blood circulation in the scalp and last is the argan oil for the proteins, vitamins and minerals to regrow your hair. Use a dermaroller 1mm once month and the 0.25mm 3x a week. Wash your hair 2 to 3 times a weak with medium warm and cold water not more. Enjoy your new hair people and take care of it.

jannick harambe: I like your authenticity, Nick. It's rare these days. Anyway, I think from the photos I've seen that your hair has become thicker and healthier but I'm not sure if the "patches" have become less / the hair has become denser. But that would be very hard to tell from a picture anyway. So chances are high they might have even reduced / your hair has become denser. Great video, stay healthy mate

Stoic Otter: You haven’t lost anymore hair, which in itself is a sucess. Furthermore, your hair lookd healthier maybe slightly thicker! I think it may have worked to some degree :)

Chris Berquist: The only reason I could see how this would slow down the process is because the hair follicles chrystalize and die. The oil could seep in the scalp and soften the chrystalizing hair folices. Also a balding scalp is usually a tight and dry scalp keeping the scalp healthy by keeping it lotioned with oil may be the reason for a healthier environment for the hairfollicles.

I Buy Digital: Worked for me, I mixed rosemary, cinnamon, peppermint, vit e oil, cedarwood, and lavender essential oils in a 200 ml bottle of warm water and massaged my scalp morning and night. And the results shit all over rogain. I don't deal with MPB, just diffuse tbinning. Worked amazing. Constant massage is key, with your head upside down also.

Wanye Kest: It’s been proven that rosemary oil has the same amount of results as minoxidil with little to no sideaffects. Similar to Minoxidil it will work for some and won’t work for others, and if your you inherited the baldness genetics it’s pretty much impossible no matter what you use ‍♂️

Hawx Won: To be honest, I can see your temple hairline has lowered a little bit, not significant but the result is still pretty good, I think I can add this method to my regime, maybe combined with derma rolling, at least I can preserve what I have achieved

moglagaash: i think you should continue to record your results. Maybe like an update every season. I'm about to start the same process myself.

Joy joy: I've been using peppermint oil. I'm kinda sorta. I did hear rosemary is best. Also, I did a test. I shaved by my legs put olive oil on one leg and coconut oil on other. The olive oil grew my hair faster, coconut made my skin look good and stopped hair growth. So I coconut on my body. It's also a great hair product but don't apply to scalp. Don't pull at hair wet.

ZerqPS: i think it looks better. looking at it from a science perspective, i think the reason you have not regained more hair is because you started to late. rosemary oil is an inhibitor of DHT which can make you bald. also the fact that once hair cells is completely gone, no oil can can help you, only surgery. but if you start early enough, either with rosemary oil og minoxidil... you can regain it because the cells is not completely dead, only asleep.

Levi H: Im starting this as well. Should I not feel a “cooling” sensation when I put it on, or should I? Im figuring how much I need to dilute it

SpaceTrashCrash: Rosemary fights fungus. Fungus can cause dandruff and hair loss. If your head is itchy, wash then use rosemary on the scalp for soothing. It does not leave the hair greasy. It absorbs quickly without oily residue.

Wabi-Sabi Lifestyle: As a vegan, make sure you get your b vitamins, take collagen in diet to support hair, nail, and skin. Make sure natural and absorbable (methylated form)

Michelle Savage: Nick, What process was used? Like when did you apply it, before, during and/or after a shower and how long did you leave it in, etc...

Ankit Patel: Yes, it looks thicker, hairline has grown back a little, and it looks stronger.

Christopher Miguel: OK guys if you have problem with resseding hairline or going bald try using some essential oils this may help you.. Black castor oil 1/8 cup Coconut oil 1/8 cup Rosemary oil 5 drops Lavender oil 5 drops Peppermint oil 5 drops Mix this all together in an empty bottle and use it 3x a week leave it overnight (don't forget to massage your scalp for 15 to 20 mins that is so important , and also try taking some supplements like biotin and avoid foods which is not good for your health and avoid caffeine as well.. Hope this will help your problem

Mark Andre Yapching: The front part did get thick. I'm having the same problem too, but I'm using castor oil. Been observing it for 9 months of application. The front part tends to regrow faster in treatments like this.

Suho at 3:07 Obsession MV: I have a question, have you noticed any change in the colour of your hair? I've heard that Rosemary oil darkens lighter hair and I honestly love the colour of my hair and don't want to change it

Rachel Y.: I feel like I couldn't tell a difference at all in the before/after photos. Unfortunately, you used longer hair in your before photos so you couldn't at all create a fair comparison to evaluate if there was improvement. I've seen other videos that have shown visible differences after using rosemary but in your case, I see almost no difference.

Ariel Dela Merced: Good evening. How do you apply rosemary oil exactly? Thank you!

Hellboy916 Forever: My opinion hair looks much more darker and thicker and looks better than before it looks like it really works

C DRoz: Ok rosemary oil works. My husband got to the point of bald on top, maybe 10 hair I could count and he was taking minoxidil and another medicine to suppress the male hormone for male pattern baldness. He had temporarily stopped the meds as we are trying for a baby, the hair growth on the medication was super slow, he’s it started to sprout some hair but it’s taken 1 year and not made a huge difference. So I researched about rosemary oil and I’ll be honest in after 3 weeks of use I can’t even count the hairs now on the top of his head. He has a long way to go for a full head but I can put my hand on his head and feel lord of hair . And then I saw rosemary oil was tested scientifically against ppl taking minoxidil and both had the same amount of hair growth. I made a mix of castor oil and rosemary oil, he sometimes uses just straight rosemary oil but usually castor and rosemary mixed. I’ve been amazed

Athenian God Of Sun: Rosemary actually has clinical studies behind it, tested alongside the main drug used in Rogaine (Minoxidil 2%) and a control l; Rosemary essential oil came back with better results over Minoxidil 2%.

Hardy Jean: Your hair's looking thicker than before sir... Looking great

Bharat Asrani: apart from thicker hair, your frontal hairline looks more aesthetically pleasing as it was seen one you ago... if we supplement PSO tablets in conjunction with topical rosemerry , it will double the benefit.

Guerrilla Guitar: I think that it helped,a little tho. Especially in the back. I am using it too, with the roller bottles like you,on hairline to prevent balding and receding. I use 25 drps in 10 ml of Almond oil

Saturn: Rosemary's main benefit is blocking DHT, the same as finesteride. But even with finesteride, which is the best known DHT blocker, you can barely see any hair enhancement. DHT blockers mainly stabilize follicles and prevent them from further shrinking, but do not usually REVERSE hair loss alone. Your hair did not noticeably worsen within the course of a year, which is good. But if you want thicker hair and potentially regrow dormant follicles back you should add minoxidil to your regimen. I would also take Biotin, Collagen, MSM and vit C supplements, these will help ensure that your follicles are getting optimal nutrition. If you do this for a year you should see actual density and thickness improvement, not just stabilization.

ohlala: which carrier oil you used to mix with rosemary oil?

Mauricio Hernandez: Loved when you said you are vegan, im too and since then I feel and look so much healtier. Go on with your valuable experiment mate.

Break Di Internet: Thank you so much for documenting this

R: How often do you apply it on your scalp?

ari: A better combo would be rosemary oil in combo with nizoral 2% shampoo 3x a week.

Emamul Hasan Emon: Did you go through of any shedding phase when you first apply?

Gandalf the Grey: I’ve been using rosemary oil for 2 months and already see lots of baby hairs growing back. Worth a try if you are thinning. No sides. This mans is not even thinning he’s like 50

TruthSeeker: I learned today that Rosemary cineole is for hairloss. There are 3 different kinds (or perhaps more) but it is the cineole that is for hairloss.

Oceans Noah Madison: I think you look the same, you look better this year, but that could be based on a better backdrop in comparison to taking pics in your kitchen, and a better haircut (Your sides are shorter in after video which naturally makes the top look thicker. I have similar hair loss, and my hair looks thicker when they leave the bangs alone.

Lali Traveler: Use Doterra oil. It’s more effective. I don’t sell them Either. But I was using another brand and didn’t work as well as doterra

sagency: Would have loved to see a before and after photo(s)

Georgette Davis: Try 3 drops of lavender 2 drops thyme 3 drops rosemary, 2 drops of ylang ylang, put these in five tablespoons of almond oil or coconut oil or grapeseed oil or black castor oil . Before bed time massage it into your scalp everyday before bed time. I tried it. It works. I just been using this mixture for a few weeks and I am see some improvements. I am going to do the one year challenge like you did to see if it works. Good luck.

Hans Schmitt: Congratulations on your success .

Jess lyn: did you mix rosemary oil with any carrier oil like jojoba or coconut?

Noora Noora: I heard massaging rly helps with stimulating hair follicles! Try it out

Suthan Eeswaran: What brand of rosemary oil did you use?

FreedomFox1: Is argon oil better than hemp oil? I thought the GLA in hemp was supposed to be important.

Ancient Aesthetics TV: It definitely looks thicker and your hairline looks better too

Francine Picoult: Do you have a video showing how you applied the rosemary oil and how often? STraight or diluted?

Edward Dean: No change nick. Use peppermint essential oil. It actually growths hair. If you want the recipe just let me know.

Tevin Chetty: Rosemary oil worked for me no lie, I even use it in my daily shampoo conditioner

Jason Smith: so true. came across every video and all they do is try to sell you their product or link you to some other product they get kickbacks on. sad world

some one: U haven't lost anymore hair in a year thats a good reason to use it

M Mo: Hair looks thicker to me, the back where you emphasised the oils more really thickened up

Finance Royce: So I’m a young 19 year old boy/man, I a full head no bald spots but I do have a “slight” receding hairline ONLY on the left side. It’s a very small problem and not even noticeable but I know fixing a problem when it’s small AND when I’m young is a lot easier then when it’s bad. Is there something anyone recommends me to do? Ive heard I may benefit from “dht blocker”

CHIRANTHA: I used rosemary for 1 year, 3 times at least every week. Results: no change. I just buzzed it to hell with it

mrivera304: I’m not sure how to use the oil. I’ve been using all day every day big amounts ignoring the warning signs of build up in my scalp. I’m having itchy scalp because of doing so. Do you apply and hop in the shower an hour after or something?

Alexandra Golovenko: Hey Nick, try adding some castor oil (Jamaican is best along with what you are already doing)

Riccardo Boiocchi: I see only slight improvement, I don't see much thinning the year before

TruthSeeker: You can use Cedarwood and Peppermint essential oils as well. I'm gonna start this week. Those two with Rosemary.

Michelle Leon: It did help!

Vast Vision: I'm also trying rosemary oil in combination with minoxidil. Minoxidil for the boost, rosemary for the supposed DHT inhibition. I'll draw a conclusion in a few months. Have an M shaped receding hairline. Would be satisfied to get a V shaped. Lol.

Sarah Gray: I just started this rosemary oil today so hopefully it makes my hair long n healthy

Judy Ruiters: I agree, it worked. Your hair looks thicker compared to a year ago. You should keep using the oil.

NORD Scandinavia: Mix in cocnut oil, castor, fenugreek, olive, lavender, tea tree and mint

Gwen & Faith: It definitely helped

David Fearon: In a year your hair should look better than that.I expect those results for a 3 weeks hair re-growth programme.

Josh Gradiz: It works I grown baby hairs the problem is, you don’t get the long luscious hair results. Compared to finasteride which I had side effects with I use in conjunction with rogaine it takes time and patience

Destiny: Hi please use a derma-pen with it for extreme results.. thanks

fanny: I used, 15 drops of pumpkin seed oil, 10 drops rosemary, 2 tbs olive oil. Once a week.....i can see the result in 9 months :) :)

Monkeyland03: Nick Shell, you look way younger than what you said. You look like you are in your early 20's or maybe 19 years of age. Being a vegan probably is helping you. I'm a vegan also.

BC〉t〈AD: Did you use it daily? Thanks

nystagmus: Can you tell me how you put the rosemary oil on. Do you just put the oil directly on or you spray it on with water?

Kajt23: Nick how you use that mix of oils? you put it after using shampoo, how long you keep oils on your heads? How many times a day you use rosemary oil?

mr.mixleplix: Youll have to keep doing the rosemerry indefinitly since its inhibiting dht in the scalp.

Christina Subasinghe: It's so hard to tell. You're hair is much longer 1year ago than in this video

Erel H L: The eagerly anticipated verdict is finally here. I honestly didn't see this conclusion. I personally don't think it's made a difference.

Brandon Hopkins: He's so skeptical after a Year. I mean if you think it works then you don't have to be careful about saying it.

Floyd Glenn: Yes - agreed with below comment. Plus, you have Excellent hair.

Zachary TurtleSlayer: I definitely think your hair is thicker!

maxcity tv: I haven't seen your before pics, but it seems to be working for you, your hair looks good !

Nathicana: pics before and after? please, also there is large study about pumpkin seed oil and huge hair growth, ingested gives 4 times more hair growth

Tanu Priya: I just want to tell teenagers that if you see your father is bald so you should start taking care of your right now only and i tell you don't feel bad if you have balding i tell you right now you are blessed if you use a normal treatment that is made by me and that is castor oil +almond oil +rosemary oil+lavender oil+tea tree oil+ peppermint oil your hairfall will stop and dont forget to use a clarifying shampoo that removes all the oil out of your hair God bless.......

Danielle Miller: kind of looks the same ngl. Maybe a little thicker in the after/more hair around your hairline but not a ton.

Sabertooth: im so happy that i found ur channel

Rozli Yusop: it looks good
