Hey you guys and welcome back to the video first, let's go ahead and do a little disclaimer right now today is like a batch uh record video day. So i know i'm gon na have the same outfit in a lot of these videos, but i decided to just go ahead and get all these videos filmed. So don't be judging me, so in today's video i'm gon na tell you guys what i would do if i personally was starting a skincare or a haircare line in 2022. before we get into the video, don't forget to like comment and subscribe, also check out. My other how-to videos on starting a natural haircare line, because i have one in 2019 and i also have one for 2020 and those were completely different from each other, and this video is also going to be completely different from those. So what i would tell you to do is watch all of those and then come back to this one as well, and then write down all of the tips, because they're all completely different and they'll kind of give you more of a broader idea of how to Start your skincare or haircare line, okay. So the first thing i would do if i were to start a haircare or skincare line in 2022. I would study the competition in the market. It is so many skincare haircare lines right now, so i would want to know what are they doing? What products do they have? What are they offering to their target audience? Who is their target audience? How are they purchasing? How much are their products running? What ingredients they're using in their products? What are they saying that their products do? How are their reviews on their products? What do people talk about with their products? Are they being raved about? Are they being featured? What are all of these things? That'S happening with your competition so that you'll be able to understand. What'S trending you'll be able to understand what you should be doing and you'll be able to kind of like take some of those processes and apply them to your own brand into your own method and your own journey of creating or starting your skincare or hair care Line the second thing i would do is, or that i would tell you - would be to build your product profile, build the line of products, but make sure that you have the profile in this profile. There'S going to be a lot of things that you're going to know and you'll be able to tell yourself about your products, build your product profile, make sure that you know exactly what your product is geared towards, who your product is geared towards? What'S going to be in your line, what the ingredients are going to be that's in there how much of each ingredient you're going to be using it's a whole bunch of different things that you can kind of add to your product profile. No one's product profile may be the same as anybody else's, because your products are going to be geared towards what you want your products to be, and not what someone else wants their products to be step and tip number three would be to determine a marketing strategy And prep a budget for marketing, so a lot of people. You know when you're starting off you're like well. I don't have the budget for this. I would say well before you even get to the portion of any launching or anything like that, prep a budget, because that's really what's going to kind of drive the sales and drive the consumer base to you. If you are someone who you know you want to reach out to influencers, you do need this budget. Let'S say you want to run ads on facebook or instagram you're still going to need that budget so definitely determine what your marketing strategy is going to be. Everyone'S marketing strategy is not the same; it shouldn't be the same. That'S what makes you unique so make sure that you do have a strategy. That'S at least a little bit different from what everybody else is doing, so that you can kind of make sure that this is like geared towards your product line and your brand and then make sure that you have the appropriate budget for it. I don't really know what an appropriate budget would be for you, but for me, if i was to start in 2022 all over my marketing budget, i would want to have at least five thousand dollars. I know a lot of people like girl, you crazy as hell, but honestly, i would say five thousand reason. I would say that is because for one, if you're trying to get influencers a lot of them, especially the bigger ones - they're not cheap, honestly hell, one influencer, probably gon na charge, you five thousand, so i don't know, but i'm just letting you know what i would Do and i would start with like a five thousand dollar marketing budget, let's say in the beginning: you know you are reaching out to these influencers and they're a little bit too pricey for that five thousand dollar budget. Well then, take that budget and run ads with it tip number four. I would develop products and test them. So, of course you know if you don't know how to formulate, if you are someone looking to become a master formulator needing guidance and direction on formulating. Please join the isca waitlist below make sure that you, like the products, make sure that you know the products are looking good, they're presentable and i'm talking in terms of the actual product, not what it's labeled is or anything like that. But making sure that actual product is really doing what your intentions are for the product to do so, if you don't really think that you, you know, are starting off with enough to work with the actual company to formulate or test and develop these products. For you, then you can always do it yourself. You can always purchase your own ingredients. Make sure that your own formula is correct and start making your products yourself and testing them out tip number five. I would say to do a soft launch, that's something that i would do so by a soft launch. I would be prepping family and friends and letting them know hey. I have this product line. That'S coming out. I would love for you to test them out. Try it out see what you think write down some observations of the product. If you just love it, let me know, and that way you'll be able to get a few different reviews and a few different opinions. Now you may have those family members that just support you just because so they're not going to tell you anything wrong but try to find the ones that will just be honest with you and keep it really 100 with you. So that way, you'll really know. If your products are really ready to be on the market for other people, step number six, once you've kind of did that soft launch. You got those reviews and you tweaked your product as much as you needed to now. I will go ahead and go into labeling and packaging and making sure that again, another investment is make sure you have that good labeling and packaging. Honestly y'all. That'S that's key like when people get packages - and i don't know about everybody else, but i know for me when i receive a good package in the mail. I love that unboxing experience. It'S like one of those things that you get super excited about when you're unboxing, an iphone like the boxes are really cute. I would definitely if i were starting in 2022. I would invest as much as i could into my packaging, because the packaging is one of those things that kind of leaves that lasting impression on your consumer. But they know they've received that good packaging they're going to be wanting to purchase again because just of the experience that they had from that and then don't let the product be bombed, because now you got it for life customer. So definitely if you can invest into the packaging and the labeling and when i say the labeling try to make your labeling stand out, i would definitely say take time to really think about what you want your label to look like and really put the time into It now some people like simplistic stuff, so labels are just being like in black and white. Really simple, really to the point. Simplistic is also really cute. So definitely don't feel like you have to do all this extra stuff if you're just going for a simplistic line, because you can always make that stand out and make it really really clean and cute. So definitely take some time to think about that. What do you want your packaging to look like? How do you want customers to be wild when they get your package when you're? Looking at someone review your product? Well, you want to see them open up your products. Step number seven would be to kind of go ahead and create that buzz for your product line and your launch. So with those reviews and opinions that you got before from family members now and friends now you can use those reviews and all of that to kind of create that book. So on your social media pages, which i would assume you have created, go ahead and add those reviews to that page. Let people know tell some of your friends and family to send video reviews of them using their product on your on their skin or on their hair or whatever on their kids. If it's kid friendly make sure that they are giving you that social proof, because people want to know other people are using these products as well, so once they can see that that it's not just you using the product and there's other people, that's raving about this Product they'll be more inclined to go ahead and purchase it and try it out for themselves, so definitely try to get that buzz created on your social pages and make sure that you know people are aware that these are the products that are good. These are how these products work. These are the reviews that other people said about the product go ahead and try it for yourself number eight. Now you then got your social pages. Together, you got your products together. People are you know from the sophomore. You did. People love your products, they like hey. These are good to go. I'M ready! You got your labeling. You got your packaging now it's time to put that marketing budget to use. So with that marketing budget. You want to go ahead and take that time out to create your pr packages and make sure that if you do have influencers lined up make sure you have an everlasting impression not only on the influencer but on their target audience, because you really you're not only Catering it to that influencer you're, really trying to get the influencer to get this out there for you to their audience, so their audience is who you're really trying to attract now the influencer, if they really like the product, they'll be a a forever customer as well. But you don't want just that. One customer! You want a bunch of customers coming into your company, so make sure that you're creating the most everlasting impression that you can, when you're, building up these pr packages to send them out and making sure you're making good use of that marketing budget that you did set Aside also with that marketing budget again get those facebook ads running. So now that you have the social proof, you have that soft launch and you have those people that have the reviews. The videos now go ahead and put that into an ad put it on facebook. Put it on instagram billboards, if you are in a good city, where you see some high traffic on a street or a freeway, get a billboard and put your stuff up there, there's so many different ways that you can try to market your product. Trade shows, of course you can put a budget aside for that. Maybe you don't want to reach out to influencers or anything. Maybe you just want to be the spokesperson for your product and you want to get in front and kind of really show what your product do, because you know your product better than anyone else so save up for some trade shows tip number nine. I would say if i was starting in 2022, i would definitely start a youtube channel. The videos that y'all see do good uh numbers are day in the life videos. I don't know if y'all watch daily life videos, but i freaking love watching day in life videos. I would just create a youtube channel on that day in the life of a busy entrepreneur packaging up orders. I had this many orders of going to the post office dropping this off like just do a lot of different videos. Talk about your product in the videos kind of show how you're doing the behind the scenes of getting your labels created just record all of that stuff, because if you're building that you're building that audience based on you and what your company is so eventually, your audience Is going to build a trust for you and they're going to eventually support you as well, and that's going to be a whole new consumer base. So just kind of get people aware with who you are, and you know what your company stands for and what you offer and how good your products are, because i think that that'll be a good move for you as well in business. I don't know if you guys remember if you've been here for a while, but on some of my videos back then i actually showed the process of me going to print my labels out at fedex, y'all fed eggs. I used to print my labels at fedex. You got to get it in where you can you got to do what you got to do for your company for your business and that's what i had to do back then. So you know you just got to do what you got to do, but i recorded it and i put it up and a lot of people were interested in my product. They were like. I don't give a gap down how you print your labels off. I just want the product so just show the true, authentic building your business, because i think people enjoy seeing that type of content. It kind of gives them motivation and it kind of helps them to see how a company can go from here to here. You know, because you just never know how you can influence someone or inspire someone by showing them your journey and tip number 10. The final tip, i would tell you guys to try to get a publicist like pay, for you know those uh blog sites where they send in the stories, and they talk about. Oh, this person made this or this person started from their kitchen or this person did this um. You can actually submit your stories and they, like have you paid such a such amount for a spot? Make sure that you do have someone that writes the story? Really good, so that it can sound really good enough for someone to want to read it that can bring blood to your business. If you know somebody that got a hookup on radio shows talk, shows podcasts try to reach out to those um streams so that you can try to get your business out there and just talk about your journey, your story, how your business started. I feel like every business has a journey or a story of how they got started or why they got started so think about yours. What is your story? Why did you start your company? Your story may be inspiring to someone, and your story may just put you on the forefront for more consumers to gravitate towards your business. Just based off of your story and they're like hey, i want to support this shows would be good if you know of anybody that does like interviews things like that. Just do those type of things if you can, because i think they would be pretty lucrative to your company and to the foundation and the success of your company as well. Hopefully, these tips were helpful for y'all and i hope that you guys enjoyed this video and uh yeah, give it a thumbs up comment below subscribe to my channel, and i will see you guys in my next video bye
