Hey: what's up you guys welcome back to my channel if you're new here my name is Aurora and today's video is an updated how I grow up my hair. Let me just real quick for the video show. You stand up, I'm wearing a dress, but my hair. This is my ribs right here. My hair is basically to my waist. I got it cut at the beginning of Summer, a little bit so it's grown pretty fast. I get so many questions from you guys about how I grow up my hair. What products? I love what products I swear by how I dye my hair, what I use to dye it dark, so I'm going to be giving you guys literally like way too much information in this video. I have all of my products that I love out in front of me. I'M Gon na Keep it completely real with you guys. I'M gon na tell you what products you absolutely need. What products I use that maybe aren't really worth your money and just some general tips that really really helped me these types of hair videos that I make are so important and sentimental to Me. Not only was it one of like my first videos on this channel, but when I was in Middle School, I'm telling you my hair would not grow house right here like it would not grow. I used to watch literally every single video. I could find on YouTube of how girls were growing out their hair, and I would get so frustrated because they would just say the stupidest most basic tips and I would watch it and be like girl. Your hair just naturally grows long. I say that to not only let you guys know that my hair hasn't always been this long. I really think that the products that I use, the tips I'm going to be giving you changed my hair, but that's also to say that if your hair isn't growing right now it can grow. I probably just have a lot of damage or a lot of breakage, we'll get into all of that before we get started, make sure to subscribe. If you enjoyed this video, I make new videos all the time and if you want to follow me on Tick, Tock and IG, you can find me at roryball with three outs of one e, we're gon na hop right into it. But first a word from our sponsor Dacia, I'm so excited to bring you guys. Another dossier, video. I have been working with this company for such a long time and they are genuinely like my favorite company to work with they just get it. If you haven't heard of dossier before they make a designer fragrance tubes, starting at just 29. high quality perfumes that are inspired by some of your high-end favorites, you can go on their site. They have so many and they're all. You know really well organized by different scents and stuff, but they all smell exactly like the iconic scent that they are a dupe of there's no markup, so you're getting the real deal just without having to pay for the name brand. So I love that about them. This is what it looks like when you get the package every month. I get a new dossier scent, so I'm going to unbox this real quick for you guys tell you my first impressions. Everything will be linked down below so this month. I got woody freesia. Sorry say it: I love Woody scents. I love musty scents, especially for the fall like there's no better time for me to whip out the fence than right. Now I live for it. I love it, so I'm so excited to try this one. It is inspired by Armani C, which is a fragrance that I have smelt, I think in like Ulta, I love it. I want it so bad, so I'm so excited to see if this lives up to that scent. These little cards also tell you the notes that are in the fragrance, so this one has a top note of black currant and strawberry, which I love strawberry. So I'm very excited middle notes of Rose, Jasmine and Peach and then base notes of Patchouli, vanilla, blonde woods and musk. Let'S try this out. First off the bottle is super high quality. Nice glass, 1.7, fluid ounces. Let'S smell it, I can already smell it yeah. I love that, oh my gosh, that is so that's so fruity musky, just woman who has it all together, yeah, it's very feminine, but Woody and warm and just Autumn, while still being primarily fruity with that floral element as well. I'Ve done a lot of dossier videos. I'Ve gotten new fragrance every single month, and this is low-key. My favorite in a while, like this, is really good. This is gon na be up there. Anyways, if you are in interested in dossier, make sure to check them out. They will be linked down below. If you have any questions at all hit me up, I'm happy to answer really again truly love this company. I think that they just make such high quality products that you can give to other people or use for yourself and not have to pay that Designer markup. So I'm all about it all about saving you guys money all about making. You guys feel good, so they're right up my alley. Let'S get back to the video. This is what it looks like blow dried. It kind of naturally dries a little bit more wavy than this I got my last haircut was in like June, but I'll first start off by telling you like what I asked for you're gon na ask for long layers, curtain bangs and face framing pieces and then, Depending on like how thick you want the curtain bangs to be how small or how long some other things I get asked all the time about my natural hair color, it is like a brown kind of some people would consider it like strawberry blonde. I'Ve been dyeing. My hair black for a pretty long time, I would say, like all of college I'll, show you what products I use and talk about. How often I do that, let's first show you my favorite Holy Grail product, the product that has absolutely changed. My hair. If you get nothing out of this, video buy these products. Okay, the first one is Main and Taylor shampoo. I said this before I'll say it again. This is not some weird horse girl, shampoo. I use this every time I wash my hair. It'S also like really really good bang for your buck. I think this is like a seven dollar or under shampoo. You can find it at Target. You can find it at Walmart. If you go to Walmart and get it, you got ta look in the pet aisle. That'S where they keep it okay, so this has grown my hair, so so long um and it's so cute, because so many of you guys in the comments will say like. Oh my God, I used to use that or oh my gosh yeah, that totally works. I'M telling you if you used one of these by the time you go through the bottle which it will take a while to go through the bottle, but by the time you go through the bottle, I'm telling you your hair will have grown. This not only has like, I feel, like really strength in my hair and given my hair, more of like more of a shiny look to my hair, which I never had prior to using this product, but it has grown my hair, I dyed my hair every two Weeks, I probably should dye it every week and I have just because my roots grow in so quickly and that's all thanks to this. So if you want long hair, you need this product. One of the problems I was having when I was younger that made my hair not grow, was that I would put so much heat on my hair. I would wake up every single morning before Middle School, like 5 a.m and straighten my hair every single day, Zero heat protectant. So, needless to say, my hair was fried and I was like: why isn't my hair growing? Why is my hair growing all the new growth that I would have would equally, if not more than uh would break off from the end, so I would be like growing an inch up here breaking an inch off down there. I needed something to fix that and a lot of people say like you can't fix split ends. You have to cut them. Yada yada, I'm telling you. I don't think I got like a legit haircut from middle school until junior year, when I chopped all my hair off of High School and my hair grew to basically the length that it's at now in that time from up here all the way down. You can definitely, you might not be able to repair split ends, but you can definitely fix damage, make your hair, healthier and the product that did that. For me, I've been using this since the eighth grade is the L'Oreal. This is disgusting. I need a new bottle. L'Oreal total repair, five um damage racing bomb. Every time I show this product, I get a million questions, so let me explain it all here. This is a bomb. I use it as a conditioner, so um there's literally zero product. I need a new one, but you just scoop in there and it is a bomb and what I do is I work it through my ends. Basically, like anything past this point I consider an end, so don't just put your conditioner like at the tips of your hair work it completely and as long as it's not like too high up into your roots, then you'll. Your hair will look greasy work that in and then I tie it up and leave it in my hair for like five minutes. While I do the rest of like my shower routine shave wash my body wash my face whatever, and then I rinse you can leave it in longer if you want, but even on the directions leave in for three to five minutes and rinse um. So I use this every single time I wash my hair. I don't wash my hair every single day at all. That'S huge huge huge for helping my hair grow. You don't want to over wash your hair, because not only will it dry it out it just strips it of its nutrients and the oils that your hair produces, so that your hair will be healthy and grow and a lot of people will say. Like you know, I can't do that. My hair gets really greasy really fast. It'S kind of like over washing your face. If you over wash your face too much, your your skin will start producing excess oils because it's trying to like replenish the oils that you're stripping from your skin. So the same thing is true with your hair: if you are washing your hair every single day, you're over washing your hair and then your hair will just produce more oils and then you'll be like I have to wash my hair, it's so oily, Etc. So if you can find a week in your schedule where you know you don't have much to do, and you can just let your hair be gross and grind me up in a bun for like a week and then start washing it like every other day or Skip two days in between washes, whatever you think works for you. That would be my best recommendation. Um. I try to go like two days in between washing my hair, but I work out every day, so it depends like how sweaty I get obviously take a freaking shower. Don'T be nasty um wash your body every single day, but just like don't wash your hair, you can get your hair wet. If you want to um, I wouldn't recommend that every single day, but obviously, if you feel like you need to then do that um but yeah just don't wash your hair every day I like I said I try and go every two day like a triangle. I try and do it two to three times a week Max when it is like a dyeing my hair week, which is very frequently for me um. I try and go like three to four days, not washing my hair, because those oils really help the hair dye seep in so we'll get into my dyeing stuff in a second but yeah. That is my shower routine. These two products, I'm telling you together, you could click out of the video now, if you want to, but you shouldn't, because I have a lot more to say, um but yeah. These two are like holy holy holy grail and they're. Both super cheap. This is under ten dollars for sure you can get on Amazon uh this you can find so many different places. This big big thing is like seven bucks. So if you need a backup conditioner, if you can't find that one, because I know a lot of people will like not be able to find it for some reason, I swear it's really easy to find, but I just get questions or comments sometimes, so I want To give you guys options um! This is a good one, and it's one that I have like picked up. If I'm on vacation - and I can't get my hands on the other one um, it's not as good by any means at all, but it's a good, affordable. Conditioner that I feel like my hair still feels nice after um. This is from Aussie uh. This is such a throwback. This used to be so popular on YouTube. This particular um conditioner. Let me know if you are watching YouTube during that era, but anyways. This is a three minute Miracle: deep conditioning, conditioner and same thing put this in your hair: leave it in in and then do your little routine and rinse out and you'll be good. So that's just like a good little backup if you need a second recommendation. Okay, so I mentioned dyeing my hair: I'm going to show you the products I use. It has not changed. I'M not gon na do a tutorial because it is one of the hardest things I do is dyeing my hair. I don't know why I'm so bad at it, I'm just really really bad at it. I dyed it earlier. I don't think I have too many spots on me but like but like literally like my hands covered in dye, it's just ugly and a mess, and you guys don't want to see it. So we're not going to show you that. But I will show you the products I use like. I said I've been dyeing my hair most of college. I started using this. These products, maybe like three years ago, have not changed since um, and I dye my hair every about every two weeks, because my my new Roots do come in um, but the actual, like ends of my hair, really don't fade. That often, if I were to go like a month a month and a half, then yeah, I need to definitely re-dye the ends um, because this is a demi permanent, hair dye. I don't really know why I decided to start using this um. I was using Box egg which, by the way, black hair dye is in particular really bad for your hair and box side is very bad for your hair. So I'm telling you this to be honest with you and also to say, like I use heat on my hair, I use box dye like you're, not supposed to do that. It'S not the end of the world. My hair still grows so like. I really think not only does that speak to the products that I use, but it's just encouragement because I used to watch these girls on YouTube, who I swear, we're just reaching for more things to add to the video like girl. You do not use hair oil on your hair every single day and it felt like such a like the equivalent of like trying to start eating healthy or trying to start going to the gym, where I just felt so impossible to start implementing all those different new Habits: um, I'm here to tell you like you, don't need to do all this if you take one or two things from this, video you'll see Improvement and you can still keep doing like your bad little habits. Like dyeing your hair so anyways, I started using um demi-permanent hair dye instead of my box side, because my box dye um, I felt like it was just fading really badly. It was really patchy. I didn't feel like it was even really black enough, like it felt like a dark brown or like a dark dark red. So I found this one at um. Sally Hansen. Wait. Is that that's that's not what it's called Sally's Beauty um. I found this at Sally's Beauty and I've been using it ever since I think Demi permanent hair dye really does show up more like deep, deep, dark black for me and I feel like it is a little bit less damaging, but it does wash out um. You know more than a normal one, but it's all good like I said it lasts a lot, so I do dye my hair really frequently if you can afford. If you know a good hair, stylist just get it done um, but if you want to do it from home, this is what I do so I take this um hair, color, hair stuff. This is um and one black again Color Charm, from the branduela. You can get it on Amazon too. I picked this up. It'S like nine dollars, maybe eight dollars and then you're gon na need one of these, like activator um, activating lotion disgustingly dirty again. This is why I don't do a hair tutorial on it um, but yeah. One of these will last me like three or four dies with the Box. You kind of mix it together in a little mixing thing: um, the ratio is like one to two slap it on your hair. I always separate it try and get really really in there with it with the roots and everything. But I do it completely myself. So it's not gon na be perfect, but it's what we got it's, what we're working with? Okay! So now we're gon na get into some of the tips that are new that have changed first and foremost um. As far as heat goes, so you guys already know if you're watching these videos, I'm sure you've already heard like you, don't want to use a ton of heat on your hair um. I really don't like. I really don't get ready that often anymore um. I get. I kind of will slap my hair up in a ponytail or whatever um, but if I'm going out like once a week, usually I will put heat on my hair or, if I just got out of the shower, my hair is wet and I want to do It um my favorite way recently has just been doing a blowout yeah. I have other hot tools that I really like you know I use I like. I use them a lot um, but this one is just one I have to recommend because it has changed the way that I feel about my hair, like I will I used to never just let it kind of like do its own thing just really into like The Blowout Volume, if it kind of, gets wavy throughout the day, that's okay, um and I just really really love this product. So this is the inh hair blowout brush completely, not sponsored. I used to have a coupon code, but I think it's just continue now. So totally just letting you know, because I love it so this blowout brush, there's probably other blowout brushes like I think, a lot of blowout brushes, probably do the same thing, but you just kind of brush through your hair brush it up, Etc. I usually flip it over and do it a few times like just with my hair flipped over to give it volume it's the quickest way to do your hair, and then my hair will stay pretty much like this. For like two or three days, I might have to do a few touch-ups here and there um, if I do want to do touch-ups I'll literally just like run a little bit of water through it and then go back over it. It'S so easy! It'S such a good one for vacation. I swear and yeah, I'm literally so beyond obsessed, so I really recommend that product um. That is a hot tool that I use a lot. I do use heat protectant with it. This is my go-to from Tresemme another like Middle School staple um. I don't know if this is the best super tech day. I'M not gon na lie, but it's the one that I use. So I do recommend it smells good and I definitely recommend using heat protectant. Every time, if you remember I don't always remember again, 100 honest heatless hairstyles are also really important. Um, I love doing a bun, I love doing ponytail. I do a ponytail all the freaking time, I'm gon na show you guys some of like my must-have products. For anything slick back, so, if I'm doing like a true, true slick back ponytail um, I always use some mousse. The mousse I use is like Tresemme. I don't know where it is, but it's just one of these little ones. You can get it in. Like a travel size, section literally looks exactly like this um and I will also use this hairspray, so I took my hair back put all that stuff in um put it up, and then I go in with a little bit of Pomade. I need some more of this. This is from inh. It'S their regular hold no-fly zone really really love this product um. It'S just really. I don't know it's really good. I used to use gel before and I feel like it would just make me. Look so shiny uh, and this one just holds everything in place, but I feel like, like you, have a lot more control when styling, so using this in a little spoolie I'll give my hair like little baby hairs or, whatever very very cute. I always make sure to flatten it out just with like some sort of a bristle brush again Beauty Supply Store, a dollar or something super cheap. Okay, let's talk serums and oils and stuff like that. I kind of not gon na lie stopped using everything I used to use. I feel like the more and more that I have plans and get ready and go out uh the less time that I have for all of that. So the only thing I really use anymore is this: Moroccan Argan Oil just dry oil, whether my hair is dry or wet. If I just feel like it needs a little bit extra like hydration, I will put this in. It smells so freaking good! That'S another thing! I really love to do is just do a little bit on my hand, rub it in and just kind of like gather up my hair literally just for small purposes alone, really love this product, it's one that I reach, for. I don't use it all the time again, not gon na lie. Um. I used to use a lot of oils like religiously every single day, and I haven't, I would say for like six months and honestly hasn't made too much of a difference. One thing I started doing that, I don't think I've done in the past, um or told you guys about is. I will just take like my wide tooth comb and when I'm in the shower, with my conditioner in my hair, I'll run through it with the comb. Um just to kind of make sure the conditioner is evenly distributed. Also, I think it makes it a lot nicer and easier when my hair is dry to not be like yanking and pulling and just tugging at my hair, your hair is wet. Your hair is at its weakest state, so you definitely want to be nice and gentle with it. So that's why I really recommend like a wide tooth comb, so yeah you guys that's everything that is like my full, how I get my hair, long, hair care, routine. Favorite, hair products - I hope that you guys enjoyed this video if you have any questions as always, you're more than welcome to leave them down below. I will get back to you guys or you can hit me up on my Instagram at Rory Bellwood. 3001E.
