Oh, what it do what's up, hannah, hey, hey, hey, hey! What'S: poppa, locking, curly crew! Welcome back to you, girls channel! It'S your goodness crystal aka curly chris and we are back with another video. Today'S video is going to be five natural hair products that all low porosity naturals need. So before going to get into the details of today's video, if you are new to your girls channel make sure you do one thing by making it official and smashing that button down below for your girl, okay, so low porosity is honestly a big talk in the Natural hair community and it's super important that you know how to care for low porosity hair. So today's video on the five, in my opinion, five low porosity essentials that every natural should have, if you do fit in a low porosity category, is a really really important. Video, so me myself, i am low porosity and what porosity means in a nutshell, is how does your hair accept, moisture, except water, so low porosity means you have a tighter hair, shaft, meaning your hair takes a tad bit longer to absorb that moisture, which could lead To longer drying times um, it takes more for like a deep conditioner to really penetrate into your strands. It takes more for a leave-in or a styler to really penetrate into your strands, which means the drying. Time is going to be way longer, and sometimes it could even means that deep conditioner is going to be sitting on top of your curls. Instead of actually working and penetrating through your curls. So high porosity is going to be like your hair is able to accept that moisture weight easily. So if you have like color treated, hair or just some, people are just high porosity to where their hair really does soak up moisture super quickly. So that's high porosity. So, let's get into five low porosity essentials that i feel you are going to need by the way. This is a wash and go that i did on my hair. I honestly feel like, since i've learned what my hair needs and also my hair is moisture trained. I'M able to switch up my styles a little bit and i also have kind of mastered my wash and go to where i so to get to a point that i actually like it. So if you guys do want the video on how to really moisture train your hair, especially low porosity, let me know in the comments down below and i'll make that video, and this is day five wash and go hair by the way, so the first natural hair Essentials product that you will need is a shampoo, that's clarifying, so the reason why this is an essential in my opinion is because, since we are low porosity, our hair already has a tough time accepting product. So you don't want to have any type of build up or anything on your strands that makes it even harder for your hair to accept that product. I personally only recommend styling your hair once a week. That'S what i do. I shampoo my hair once a week, and that is like a good routine for me. So the only time that i would recommend like using a co-wash on your hair, is, if you're doing like a mid-week wash and you need to just like you know, just get some more moisture into your curls. However, me personally, i don't even feel like you should be needing a midweek pick-me-up for your curls. If you are doing and styling and know your hair correctly, i don't feel like a mid-week washing will be even necessary. Maybe the products that you're using are just not the ones that really work for you, so a shampoo that i would recommend the one that i absolutely love is the camille rose gentle cleansing rinse that one does not strip my curls at all, but still gets my Hair really really clean, so the second product that is an essential would be a deep conditioner with slip. Now i know you guys hear so much about deep conditioners and deep conditioning, but there's a reason behind that. If you are a low porosity, you really need to get a deep conditioner that your hair absorbs. So you want a product that is going like whenever you put it on it's not going to sit on top of your curls, it's actually going to penetrate your hair. So you can get the maximum benefits of that deep conditioner. So that is like honestly, the top tip that i could give is to get a deep conditioner with slip that works with your hair. You want something: that's creamy has great ingredients and actually works for low porosity hair, your low porosity hair, so two that i feel have amazing slip. Just as an example. In case you want to try them out. Is the tgin honey miracle hair mask balm slip and honey as a humectant, which means it draws moisture to your hair and also the tgin miracle repair rx deep hydrating hair mask both of these have bomb slip and they are super super moisturizing and really really easy To absorb into your hair now, when we're speaking about absorbency, that is like really where it matters, because you can have a good deep conditioner. But if you don't know how to properly apply that deep conditioner, that could be an issue. So that kind of leads me to the next point that i want to want to talk about, and that is performing your wash days in the shower now. I know i know i know you're probably gon na be like sis. That'S too much work. If you want to put in the work, then don't expect to have the right results this okay, because this actually does take work. I highly recommend if you are low porosity, that you perform your entire washing routine in the shower from shampooing to deep conditioning to leave-in conditioner. So whenever you perform your wash day in the shower with warm water, your hair is in an environment that is warm, which means your hair shaft and the cuticle is going to stay open, which means your hair has a better chance of absorbing that product. Warm water opens up our hair, shaft and hair cuticle, which really makes it super easy for our hair to slurp up that product. Okay, that's what it does want to see that warm water! Okay, that's what that's exactly what i have been doing, though. Y'All like whenever our hair come into contact with warm water and we apply a product to it. It soaks it on up literally okay, like let me tell y'all literally, and it really does help our hair to absorb that product. So the next point i want to get into is applying indirect heat, while deep conditioning to your low porosity hair. Now this is also game changer. Now, when i say indirect heat, there's multiple ways of doing that after you apply that deep conditioner in the shower, you want to get out of that deep out of the deep conditioner you want to get out of the shower and apply your indirect heat to make Sure that your hair is really absorbing that product and basically you're forcing you're forcing the product into your hair. Okay, one of those options is a heat cap, so this is a thermal heat cap, one that you pop into the microwave warm up. This is from the joyful bee, but i do have some on my amazon platform that will be linked down below what you do with this is if you want a deep condition on the go while walking around your house, you pop this in the microwave and it Heats up, it has flax seed beads in the inside, it's going to heat up, and then you put that onto your hair and since the deep conditioning begins now, you do want to put on a regular shower cap or plastic bag underneath this just because this is Not going directly onto your hair system - okay, don't put this on your hair, put something plastic underneath there. Another way that you can do that is by putting on just a regular plastic cap and locking that moisture in while you take your shower, but i do recommend 30 minutes minimum for deep conditioning scissors. Okay, the other way that i can recommend is a hooded dryer, which is what i use now. Let me go ahead and show you how my hooded, dryer y'all put in baby my privacy whatever, but it's fine okay. So this is the hooded dryer that i use right over there. I use that hooded dryer um, it's literally an old school dryer y'all. Let me make sure it focuses hold on like it's an old school dryer. It'S one of those sets okay old school, but it gets the job done and i put the setting on high heat and that literally does the trick for me. Product number, four that you're most definitely going to need, is your low porosity, and that is a creamy leave-in conditioner one once again that your hair absorbs y'all. Probably don't want to hear this, but it's important after you finish deep conditioning, get back in the shower and rinse out that deep conditioner with the warm water but stay in the shower, don't get out and apply your leave-in conditioner to sections chef's kiss the best thing You have ever done in your entire life for your hair, i'm telling you, if you're a low porosity, do not walk out that shower without applying that leave-in conditioner to your curls. The reason being is because, once again you want your hair to be in that warm environment. Your hair cuticle is open, it's still opening up. So that way you can apply that base for moisture, leave-in conditioner to your hair and your hair is going to absorb it. So much more sis i'm telling you and you have never applied that leave-in in the shower. That is most definitely a top low porosity product tip that you need to implement to your curls. Now a leave-in conditioner that i feel is absolutely bomb and super absorbent is the ajwa beauty, biomate leave-in conditioning styler. I really do enjoy this because of how much slip and it has bomb ingredients in it. So my curls literally y'all drink this leaf and conditioner up, and it's black on hello for the black on so last product that i want to mention number five is a sealant or oil. Now the whole topic of oils, y'all honestly, is so problematic in the natural hair community, because there's so many different opinions about this topic and for me personally, i'm going to speak for myself and my hair and the things that i've seen and know work for me. I am a twist out person, i'm not really a wash and go person, i'm almost definitely lean towards twist outs and after i follow the lco method leave in cream oil. That'S when my curls flourish, the most granted every almost every product that we use does have oils in it already, but whenever it comes to sealing the hair, that really to me is what makes my life my moisture last. So it literally does not allow the moisture that i've put in my hair to escape whatsoever and since we are low porosity, you may see that your hair does hold on to moisture long. But my experience in talking to other naturals who are low porosity people do see that their hair becomes really really dry. After, like day three day, four and honestly, sis, i can say that by sealing my hair with a lightweight oil, my curls literally last all literally lasts all week. So for me personally, i highly recommend sealing with an oil, but it also depends on your hair density. As well, because you don't want to weigh it down, but if you are low porosity, i do recommend that you try it just to see how your hair reacts to it. An oil that is super lightweight and one that i love to use is the melanin hair care oil. This one is literally all like so lightweight. It does not weigh your curls down, but my curls down whatsoever. So that's it y'all. I'M giving you guys my top five products, slash tips for low processing, natural hair that you need for your hair to flourish. Let me know in the comments down below what you guys thought about this video and the tips that i gave in this video. Also. Let me know if you guys want me to make an updated video on how to monitor train your curls um. I most definitely have a lot of stuff to speak on that topic as well, but thank you guys so much for tuning in. If you are low, porosity, cis or bro do not give up on your curls, you most definitely can figure out a way to make it work for you with consistent practice and routine. You will figure out your curls, so don't give up y'all. We all are in the learning curve. Okay, so thank you guys so much for tuning in and i'm gon na see you guys in my next video peace.

Danyelle On Purpose: This was a great list, Curliecrys! I teach natural hair classes to little girls, and I tell them similar things. Most importantly, as you said, I tell them to learn their hair. The recent oil and butter concept has me paying attention to what my hair really needs. I’m open to learning new things, and doing what’s best for me and that’s what matter most. First time commenting, but love your videos! Have a blessed day ♥️

B J Smith: I definitely agree with everything you’ve said about how to handle washday for our low porosity hair. I recently started using a steamer to aid in deep conditioning. It has literally rescued my once dehydrated hair. Always interested in great ideas to manage my hair properly. Thank you so much for sharing your gift.

dayshaVU: For those who don't want to do the whole routine in the shower, invest in a hair STEAMER not just a heated cap or dryer. It's a difference lol

shesmollyb: Yes sis you know we want the content on moisture training!! & let me go order that cap , I should’ve been had one Day 5 hair!?

Nadia Nicole: I live for your intro!! & your hair is really flourishing I love it!! Also I’ve had major change in the whole deep conditioning in the shower. It’s easier and also helpful and less time consuming. & Also I’ve been using cool/ warm water instead of hot water I feel like that makes a difference as well.

Krystic: This video is SO HELPFUL! Thank you for breaking it down in general and with specifics. This is EXACTLY what I needed to hear ♥️

Kearsten W: Okay sis your hair is doing its thing!!!! I am so happy to see your wash & goes turn out so beautiful!!! So you know now that you've mastered it you have to show us how you get that many days out of it I haven't even figured that one out yet lol So if you would kindly do a video on showing how you maintain your wash and go throughout the week that will be awesome

Carol Harper: Love these tips. Yes!!! Would love the moisture training video. You are so right about doing your wash day in the shower. I am low porosity and I perform my wash day in the shower. And it has made a huge difference. Every time I wash my hair. I sit under a hooded dryer. That's how I do my deep conditioner and leave in. Love and light to you, curlycys and everyone here.❤️❤️☮️☮️

Judi S: Great tips sis!!! Applying my leave in condish in the shower was a game changer for me too!!! I’d love to see a video on moisture training. And before I go - sis- your 5 day old wash n go is it!!! Love it!!!

Erin Grimes: I love all these tips! The only thing is I got tired of doing my styling process in the shower, plus in California we’re going through a drought so I’m trying to watch how much water I’m using. If your like this too, because the standing can be tiring over some time, try using a facial steamer to work in your products. When I style with in direct heat, it makes a total difference.

Aunty MO: I have been following your tips for 2 years now and my hair is FLOURISHING THANK YOU CRYS

Niaa Diamond: I love you for this !! Thank you I needed this , I finally did a big chop to start my natural hair care journey bc chile perm is not it no more

LadyAsh: Love listening to tips and my last wash day….”About a Week Agoooo” I did start to finish in the shower and I definitely felt and saw the difference with adding my conditioners to my thick low porosity hair….sooooo yeah u might as well go head on work on that moisture training video our good Sis! And that wash/go is a YESSSSS!!

adaywithaleks: Thank you, coming from a Ukrainian I learn so much from y'all black queens regarding my own hair even though it's not as gorgeous and curly as yours but I pick up tips and tricks for my dry curls..especially about how to apply product and moisturize low porosity hair. I had no idea

Gladys WJ: LITERALLY a job well done -- proven tips to thrive by. And if wearing a wet set aka "Wash & Go"; continue the entire process in the steamy/wet shower environment. You'll use less product and capture your dynamic coily/curly hair pattern. Diffuse, sit under a hooded hair dryer, or air dry. The latter not recommended in high humidity. Be safe -- Godspeed.

Shae Poppinkurlzdc: Definitely need that moisture training video sis! Love these informative tips.

Lexi Lomax: I have fine, low porosity hair. I agree with your tips I ALWAYS deep condition and I have a flaxseed cap that I've used for years now..However, I dont apply my leave-in in the shower but instead, I apply it and then put a plastic cap on my hair for about 45min-1 hour. This warm environment allows my hair to get a good head start in absorbing the moisture and then I take the cap off and let it air dry until its just slightly damp. Then I add my cream and the same oil, lol, I love that Melanin oil!! My hair stays moist for 4 days and then it needs a light refresher until the next wash day. Today was my wash day actually lol, it took time for me to learn my hair but I've been natural 8 years and have learned a lot through trial and error. Thx for sharing this to make it easier for other low po naturals who are still learning all of this!

Dejuania Gillum: Thank you for the tips sis & yes!! We would love a video on how to moisture train our hair!

Valerie W: Hey Beautiful! Your hair and skin look Amazing. As always, thanks for another great valuable hair content.

Bronnie Barfield: Hey Crys - I love your videos and how down to earth you are. I’m a senior lady with mixed grey hair. My hair used to be like yours but since I’ve turned gray it has really thinned. I also have low porosity hair natural hair. What do you think is the best style for volume? I don’t know how to style this thin hair.

Nakeya Brown: Yes to the "How to Moisture Train My Curls" video, Honey! :-) Will it include the Mango Butter you made a few months ago? I still need to try that! Those curls were POPPIN' in that video:-) And Yes, your curls be poppin' in other videos, too;-) I just recently fell in love with Taliah Waajid Green Apple & Aloe Shampoo, Conditioner, and leave-In Conditioner. I also make my own hair oil. Now I do love the TGIN Honey Miracle Hair Mask! That's Gold! I do have to work on sticking with doing my hair routine in the shower. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it:-)

jessica bennell: How important are pre-poos for low porosity ? Ive read several articles recommending them on the basis that is allows your hair to absorb more moisture when washing? Lemme know your take on em!

Sew Sirius: Thank you ❤️ I appreciate your helpful tips so much! You and your hair are absolutely beautiful.

Minister Angela Saavedra: I thank God I found you. I been watching so many videos and Yours are by far the most educational and easy foe me to follow. I am looking forward to my new are journey. Currently on the twist series. May God bless you and expand your territory. God bless you Sis.

Porsha Humphrey: Love your hair and this list! Looking forward to the moisture training video.

Beauty by Bleu Scy: I just got some new products including a heat cap and I notice a huge difference in my hair after just one use. I've also been following your tips on application

Latasia Tatum: Great video, you are always so informative and your hair is beautiful . I follow most with the exception of 2 of them, I find applying my leave in on damp hair and LOC method works better for my hair.

Chimere Trielle: I'm starting to think I naturally have dull 'looking' hair. I've been moisture training for a year and a half now and my hair is growing beautifully, but my hair is almost never 'shiny' which is a little annoying. For that reason, twistouts and braidouts never look good on me. But I love these tips. I literally follow them all to a T

Catherine Butler: Great video. I'm low porosity as well. I believe the LCO method works better in my hair as well. However, I will say that back in the day, we didn't put the conditioners on soak and wet hair, it was damp. That allowed the products to get in better as well because the cuticle wasn't covered with so much water to block most of the conditioner from getting in. The same with hair grease, put on damp hair and the hair remained moisturized for a week or two. If needed, I only applied more water to hair between wash days. However, I see the process is definitely different for a wash n go. Peace and Blessings!❤️

Joan Abbott: Great tips Sis!!! I'm trying all of this

Devoun Rushing: Yes! Please add a moisture training video! My low porosity hair would appreciate it.

Shai Sarai: I make sure my hair cuticle is open with warm water and I also warm up my conditioner before applying it I find that helps my hair absorb moisture.

Juju O.: Your hair is GORGEOUS OMG. YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL. thank youuuu I did not know what to do with my low porosity hair. I Invested in a hair dryer cap for deep conditioning but that still didn’t help lol. I’ll try the rest of these tips

Jah Page : Diary of a former slob: Yup, we need that moisture training video!!

Sylvia Richards: Thank you for the great information. I am learning such a lot. Can you give advice on caring for low porosity grey hair. From my roots to about 2 1/2 inches of my hair is fully grey.im trying to embrace the natural grey. What if any tips would you give?

Summer Does nothing: i love how ur hair looks it’s so full of volume and sits great after a wash and go but when i do my hair even though it’s really thick when dry, after washing it sits flat and square looking

Erin’s Life _sincerelyErinnn: Please show us how to moisture train!!! I can’t lie I’m hella lazy & almost never deep condition. I know I’m failing my hair but I love your detailed videos & you’ve helped me understand my hair so much!

FM Richardson: I love this video and it was very informative as I stopped using relaxers and have been natural for the last year and a half just wearing protective styles but my 4C low verocity hair ends up feeling so so dry Like Straw dry after I wash and put leave-in conditioner in and none of the products you talked about in this video are mentioned or available to purchase when you link to your Amazon shop and you don't even mention them in your Instagram in fact you have completely opposite products that you didn't speak about so it's confusing it would be helpful to actually mention the specific products by name so people could buy one or all of them without having to watch the video three or four times and take screenshots. Otherwise I loved it I love some of your other videos as well it's very encouraging on this low porosity 4C hair growth Journey.

Briawna Brooks: I'm a new Subbie, I'm a low po curly girl and I loved your tips!

Jenelle Bentley: Love your content!!!! How long did it take to moisture train your hair?

ashley j: When you said day 5 of your wash and go my eyes got buck . It looks so good!

Zamyra Gray: Girl You had me laughing but you’re so right about washing it in the shower and using heat

Eileen Ward: Great video totally agree with every point but, to add to the deep conditioning portion, steaming your deep conditioner is the bomb. I can tell the difference in my hair, moisture last for days.

Latasha S: Day 5 hair? Wow!!!! Looking good sis.

Roxie McClenton: Thank you for this video..I have been following you for sometime...it took me a minute to realize that my hair is low porosity....I have been following your suggestions for my hair type, your techniques are awesome easy to follow and it's makes sense why washing your hair in the shower...I must say I really prefer washing my hair in the sink....but what you say about washing in the shower with warm water for our moisture to remain in our hair is a good one.. Thank you ....love your videos...

Ivy Merritt: No wash n' go I've EVER had has looked that good on day five!! No fair!

jalah torrence: Just did the wash n go in the shower and deep conditioner yesterday for the first time and hunnyyyy best thing I ever done my hair love me now.

brenda thorpe: I really thank the lord for you explaining about low and high porosity you explained everything so detailed thank you so much

Dayania Carroll: Thank you for this video. It seems like I've been struggling with my hair lately on how to style it or what to do. I've really like my twists but sometimes it doesn't last long. I don't know if I'm doing my wash and go style correctly. Mine never come out like yours, I usually just put product on my hair and that's it.
