So today's video is going to be all about my favorite products for hair growth and length retention. If you didn't know now i'll, let you know again that i ran into some difficulties when it came to my natural hair journey. I went from having waist length natural hair to breaking off my natural hair and having to pretty much do a second big chop where i cut my hair from waist length all the way up to a bob. So i gave my hair a lot of tlc focus and attention with an extreme focus on length retention over the course of a year to basically grow my hair back to where it is now. So i've made a lot of progress. I'Ve made a lot of strides and i'm basically focused on growing my hair back to its original state, which was waist length, natural hair. So in this video i basically wanted to share those products with you and also note that i will have links in the description box below with everything that i'm going to describe in the video. So you can pick those up if you want to so i'm going to show you these items in no particular order, but i really love to use them all, especially when it comes to maintaining length, because that is the name of the game. Right, like it doesn't matter how fast your natural hair grows. If it is breaking off faster than you can grow it, then you're always going to feel like you are in limbo, or stuck when it comes to your natural hair growth. So the first product that i'm going to talk about is the not on my watch. Detangling therapy now let me tell y'all something i was in target one day, just like perusing walking around spending my money that i didn't need to be spending, and i looked on the shelf of the natural hair aisle and i ran across this knot on my watch. Now the thing that really drew me to this product is the fact that it says instant, detangling therapy and listen, who doesn't like instant detangling, because i sure do i sure, do when i saw this. I was like you know what i think this is a product. I really need to like add to my natural hair routine, and i am so glad that i did y'all. I am so glad that i added this. As you can see, i have used quite a bit of the bottle like i have like. Maybe this much left because i use it in my hair and i also use it in my daughter's natural hair. So that's great: it's like a twofer. We can both use it in our hair. But what i really like about this, not on my watch product - it actually does work. So this comes in handy when it comes to detangling your hair. In a jiffy the other week i had mini twists in, i took them out and my twists were pretty small. So that means that i had a lot of definition and all that definition can kind of lead to tangles and breakage if you're, not careful so in the shower, i was able to like wet my hair with this and then use this on top and when i Tell you my comb was like gliding gliding through my hair. It was amazing - and i also do have a review of this as well, and i will link any eye cards or any reviews in this video. So that way, you can go ahead and watch it as well, but this really works well guys. So, if you are looking for something that is affordable, i believe this was about maybe 5.99 affordable and can get the job done. I definitely recommend this if you're trying to maintain length in your natural hair and cut down on breakage, especially when it comes to wash day so the next product that i have in my length retention routine, is the main choice, easy on the curls detangling hydrating shampoo. Now this has been a staple product for me. I absolutely love this shampoo. I got this shampoo as well at my local target, but what i really like about this shampoo ya'll is the fact that it does what it says. It really is easy on the curls. My curls always feel moisturized, they always feel hydrated and my hair never feels brittle. My hair always feels like lovely after i use this in my natural hair. It says that it is a detangling hydrating shampoo. Definitely i don't know if you've ever experienced this, but in the past i've used different shampoos and they've done nothing but make my hair feel extremely tangled and matted, and i'm just sitting there in a shower mad, because i'm like i just spent time like pre-pooing, my Hair right pre-pulling, my hair pre-detangling it only to get in the shower and to have my shampoo tangle, my my hair, again like no way like i hate it. So when i picked this up, i realized that this is a staple product that i need to incorporate for my wash days because it lathers so well. A little bit goes a long way. It does not tangle my hair, and it just makes my hair feel really. Nice and soft afterwards, so this product here is a camille rose, coconut water, leave-in, hair treatment. This is another staple product and i love it. I recently did a video using this in my daughter's natural hair, because it is really good if you are looking for a product that will really moisturize your hair, then this is it - and i really like this, because a little bit of this goes a long way. You don't have to use like half the bottle to feel like your hair is getting moisturized and also it smells really good, and it feels really good in your natural hair. I use this all the time to use as a leave-in in my hair and it really helps you detangle your natural hair as well, and it has a lot of slip which is important when it comes to detangling your hair, making sure that it's moisturized and avoiding Breakage as much as possible, so this product here is from the line, the main choice and this pairs with the shampoo that i talked about earlier. But this is their softest, can be three in one revitalizing and refreshing conditioner. So they call it a three in one because they say you can use it as a co-wash, a leave-in and a detangler. I pretty much like to use this as a rinse out conditioner. It gets my hair, nice and soft nice and sleek. This also has a lot of slip, especially when you use this in the shower and when i use this as a rinse out conditioner it pairs so well with the shampoo. My hair feels nice hydrated, moisturized and very soft to the touch. So here we have the camille rose, coconut water, styler style setter, and this pairs really well with the camille rose, coconut water, leave-in treatment that i talked about earlier now, y'all. If you want a bomb twist out like a defined moisturized shiny, healthy juicy, looking twist out, then this combined with the leave-in conditioner for this completely bomb, and i'm going to be doing a video about how i achieve my best twist out ever using those two products. But what i really like about this coconut style setter is it's nice and light. It adds so much moisture to your natural hair, like when i use this in my natural hair. My hair is moisturized four days, and this is not a product that tangles your hair. Again, i've used products that are stylers and after i've gone through like half a day of detangling my hair, once i put some stylers in my hair, my hair begins to tangle and it begins to show like signs of resistance, which i hate. But when i use this coconut styler, it is so light it is so buttery and it glides through the hair, and it also leaves your hair with a really nice shine as well. It leaves your hair feeling, nice and soft, and this product also has a lot of slip which is important for length retention. So this is a product from melanin, hair care launched by natural 85, and i really like this leave-in conditioner. As you can see, there's barely any left, there's barely any left and i plan to use this to the very last drop. So what i like about this leave-in conditioner guys is that it is very lightweight. It is not a heavy leave-in conditioner. It will not weigh your hair down. It is not a leave-in conditioner that will leave your hair feeling like it has any type of residue or film on it. It is very versatile. You can use this as well with other stylers, which i do like. I do like to mix and match sometimes because sometimes you like don't always have every single product from every single line that is supposed to correspond with each other, and that is okay. So i like this product because it is so lightweight and i can mix and match it - and i like this because you can use this on wet or dry hair, and i have tried it on both and it's effective either way. I'Ve tried it on wet hair. As a leave-in conditioner - and i have also used this to detangle my natural hair as well, so now that i've talked about all the products that i pretty much like to use for my length retention, i want to talk to you about the tools. Okay, the tools for success when it comes to length retention and i have no hate and no shade towards the new detangling brushes, but there is something about a wide tooth comb that just does it for me. It just does it for me. Okay, i grew up with my mom using wide tooth combs in my hair to detangle my hair, and it's just something that has stuck with me and i also use wide tooth comb to detangle my daughter's natural hair as well. For me personally, the wide tooth comb works really well on wash days when i use the wide tooth comb. There is barely any breakage and i'm being honest when i use the right products with the wide tooth comb, i have like a flawless detangling session. I cannot say the same for some of the detangling brushes that i've used for me. Sometimes the detangling brushes they pull and tug too much and then end up like causing breakage in my natural hair. So in that year y'all, where i was like listen hair, you finna grow back you're about to grow back, i'm sorry, i abused you and you broke off, but you're gon na grow back and i'm gon na help you when it came to that year of me, Just focusing on length retention, i went right back to old school and used the wide tooth comb. Now this right here is the long spray bottle. I got mine from amazon. I absolutely love this spray bottle. I moved to this bottle after using like the conventional spray bottles, and i noticed when i used like the conventional spray bottles. The water would get everywhere like it would just. It would just be going all over the place because it sprays out so much water at one time and what i really like about it is the way that this sprays is like a long controlled spray. So that way, you can really focus on the section of hair that you're working on. So i'm going to show you how this sprays, so you see that guys it's like super misty and you get a lot of water that comes out in a very soft and nice way. It just helps to give me the appropriate level of water without creating a mess last styling tool that i will talk about in this length retention. Video is the wet brush. Now i picked up a new wet brush. This is the princess, tiana wet brush, and when i saw this in the store, i had to get it because i love disney princesses, but especially princess tiana. But this wet brush is so good when it comes to secondary detangling and smoothing your hair. So let's say like you want to do a wash and go, and you really want to like define the curls without breaking your hair off, then the wet brush is going to be a tool that you want to use it just like helps the hair become smooth And it helps to like just glide gently through the natural hair, but guys this is it for the video.
