Natural Hair: Save Styling Time W/ Design Essentials Natural

Everybody welcome back to my channel so today I want to talk to you guys about a hair product. Yes, actually several hair products, I'm at the opportunity to try out design essentials, natural line - and I am pleasantly surprised. Ok, it's rare when I try an entire line and like each item in the line, alright, so I'm going to show you guys the products that I use and how they worked on my hair. So if your natural, you know how long it can take to style your hair, you know detangle and wash it. You know, people call it a wash and go, but it really takes forever to you know, get that style going before you can leave the house. All the shingling and all of this and defining your curls manually - I didn't have to do that. I did not have to do that. Ok, this made it so quick and easy to get my style done. I did a wash and go as you can see. This is the result of using the entire line alright, and that's what I'm going to show you right after this how each product worked on my hair. So this is pretty much what I look like when I get up in the mornings before I style my hair. I usually wet my hair in the shower and co wash or wash my hair, depending on how much buildup is in my hair. So to get my curls popping in my you know, molded shaped my hair. I had to wash it because I had a lot of buildup in my hair, so the first product I used was the kernel cleanser right here and again. This is the natural line. This is a sulfate free shampoo, so it was not drying to my hair at all, which was very surprising. I loved that when I put it on it just be immediately lathered up the slip was nice and my hair was clean. Okay, so I followed up with the moisturizing conditioner and that actually surprised me, he didn't have a lot of slip, but it had a lot of moisture. I was even able to detangle finger detangle with my hands fairly easily. Now I don't have much hair, but I was still able to go through there and really finger detangle with no problem at all, so it really made it easy to detangle, which I was surprised because there wasn't a lot of slip in there. Was this pure moisturizing? Okay, so I thought rinse that out, I went on to the moisturizing lotion. This right here. Surprise, surprise, surprise! Okay, it has kind of a tacky texture to it a little bit it also. It also has like a slip to it. So, as you can see, when I put this on my hair, my hair immediately started to curl up coils separate. Do everything I needed it to do with this product right here by itself. I was shocked this product cut down a lot of time. I would normally have to go in there and manually separate twirl, and you know finger coil and things like that to kind of get the curls contained the way I like them, this did this. Did it? Okay? Surprisingly enough, it did so next I use the curl enhancing moves I use maybe about I don't know four or five pumps of this, and this spreads so nicely in my hair. It gave I mean it has a really nice slip. Obviously it enhanced my curls. That'S what it's called it actually did that, as you can see it's enhancing the curls I actually. I was actually able to manipulate the sides of my hair and lay them down. It'S like a designing lotion for those of you who are relaxed when you wrap the ear, but this is for natural hair for curls and enhances your curls since I've had this. I'Ve used this quite a bit, and this is like everyday. You know very clean, very easy, just pump it in your hands roll through your hair shape and mold. Let it dry. I don't know if you know this, but I also use the twisting set okay. This has a little bit of a stronger hold and it also has a nice slip. It is definitely not foamy, it's a liquid, so you spray this on and it you know. I use it to kind of lay down my sides a little bit more because I, like my sides flat - and this is really good for twist outs, braid outs or any kind of style that you need to set. You know like. Maybe if you want to do a flexi rod or something like that, you would use this on your natural hair and it would hold and give it. You know, still give it moisture and softness, and you know what you need. Okay, I'm kind of doing a twist out with this and I'll definitely follow up cuz. You guys are show you guys how this did on my twist up, but there are some other, ladies here that have done some twist outs with this. So you might want to check that out. So overall I loved each product you guys can see for yourself. I showed you what they did to my hair as I applied them. So this is the result here of the products, and this is my style made. It very easy all I did was just kind of fluff it out a little bit and there you go. Look at that. Look at the definition. This is a washing, though I did know kind of finger, coil, manipulation or anything like that. You probably asking: where can you get these? They are being sold at South beauty, supply Walgreens, and you can always check the sign essentials, natural calm, okay, all the links and things like that would be down below, but stay tuned. You guys are using these products a lot. Okay, I'm going to use them all up. I'M serious when I tell you to save me so much time. The products that I use before I wear to style, my hair required. So much more than these, I mean it really did cut it down like half the time. Okay, all I had to do was rub it in my hair mould. It shape it a little bit. Let it dry which took about an hour didn't take forever to dry, depending on how wet your hair is didn't, take forever to dry, okay, so yeah it held its shape. I didn't have to do much. The curls are happen and that's it. So the products are available at the stores. Now, okay, so yeah, that's it you guys! Thank you guys so much for watching. Feed Your Inner .Chef: Girl u are fierce with the look and the cut! I use these products(some of them) on my 4c hair and it DOES NOT make my hair look like this. I've been getn them from a licensed stylist so thanks for the "local" tip. I have not used the twist and set but will try next time I do a twist out!
needhelp0913: Yeah I used the leave in yesterday because I had 2 small sample sizes and used it and it was fantastic. I was surprised also. The 2nd ingredient is Veg Glycerine and it gave my hair a lot of shine too (just the leave in). Yes it was quite sticky but it did smell good.
74winkie: Great video! I've been contemplating on buying this line of product but I didn't want to waste money. I think I'll give it a try after watch your review. As your hair grows longer I'm curious to know if the time to style and dry your hair will increase

Your curl pattern is very similar my mother’s style but she has a texturizer. Is your hair naturally a 3C or have you enhanced the curl pattern by loosening it with an additional product? mskittie7411: I got these products from a stylist in a bundle when I initially big chopped. They are the truth and I have 4c hair. Cleanser works wonderfully. Styling creams are great too. I also ventured into the Stimulations conditioner and the moisturizing shampoo (not curly girl friendly) but really good for detangling (slip) and cleaning but leaving hair moisturized. Give them a try. I am now 2 years natural and still using these.

I am trying to transition to natural, I've been without relaxers for about 2yrs now but still am unable to get my hair to look like I want. So i just keep using protected styles like micro braids and i do sew-ins.. What would you suggest as far as trying to define my curls and also figure out what my natural hair type is. I am so confused of what to do and just will not wear my natural hair out until it looks right to me.
Mattie Smith: I love the twist and set for my flexi rod set and my Curlformers but I must add my EcoStyler gel for a stronger hold. I haven't tried the other products bc I have almost waist length/3C hair and I'm not sure it would work with my longer hair. Has anyone with longer hair use these products for a wash & go?

Rose Johnson: I used the products you mentioned in this video and I used all 5 in the same manner you described and my hair looked pretty good. I'm not sure what to put on my hair the days after the wash. Do you put the Daily Moisturizing lotion on each day and how much or do you use the Curl Enhancing Mousse on a daily basis. I've been using this line of products for quite and even called Design Essentials Education department for support on how to use the products. Your video is the best training I have received but I still have questions. I feel that my hair is not very healthy because my hair tends to break easily. Should I use the Restore product and if so how to use it? I've been natural for 3 years and still not certain if I'm using the right techniques and products. Can you help me?

A R: Same. Here. Twist outs just don't work as well as wash n' gos, for me as well. I use As I Am, or Shea Moisture and get the prettiest curls ever.

Nisha B: How do u think it will work on hair that is a little longer than yours? I use the "AS i am" line and it works great to define curls without having to manually twist and stuff. I also find that twist outs doesn't work well on my hair, so jus wash and go and my curls are just lovely. I would definitely try this.
