Hey guys in today's video, I'm gon na be showing you a really simple way to reduce, shedding and it a hundred percent works. It works is so unbelievably well, I feel like maybe the past year and a half. I don't know if it's been just this year or the year and a half, but it's been really rough on my hair on me, physically I'm finally getting back into the swing of things, and I realized that when my hair was thriving, I was using my own Diy products - and I really ventured out because I wanted to figure out what was out there. I was like Ariel in the Little Mermaid. I was a whole new world and I wanted to explore it all and I wanted to be a part of what everyone else was being a part of and learning more about products and testing different things to see. If I was missing anything there's a lot of awesome products out there, but I'm really excited to be returning to my DIYs, but doesn't mean that I won't try a product here in there, but as far as my wash routine, I know what I like at this Point I know my hair likes and there's really no wavering, so I didn't have to add a few new steps into my wash regime. I realized this year is a lot of you. Guys saw that my hair doesn't agree with coconut oil anymore, while stopping using coconut oil helped my hair so much. It was like night and day incredible. I still having more shedding than I was used to prior to having all these issues, and so I really wanted to figure out a way to kind of cut it down. So I did a little bit of research and I found tea rinses and I wanted to give it a try for myself and I was so pleasantly shocked that it actually works. It works so well and so fast. Currently, I shed about 1/4 of the amount of hair that I did prior to doing these tea rinses. So if you guys have an issue with shedding and you want to figure out a natural remedy, I can tell you for sure that this works. So, let's get onto the recipe, it's really simple! If you can boil a cup of tea, you can make this, but I'm also going to show you how I apply it to my hair and in what order. So I hope you guys enjoy the video, and I will see you after so for this amazing remedy. You'Ll need a heat-safe container, a black or green tea, peg and boiling hot water, I'm using a decaf green tea bag because it has less caffeine. So all you need to do is place your tea bag into your tainer and add about 8 ounces of boiling hot water. If you don't have a measuring cup, the normal everyday teacup size works perfectly to just give that teabag a stir and let it sit so that the herbs can filter out also allowing the water to cool. Now I'm using a decaf tea bag. So I'm not worried about how long this sits if you're, using a fully caffeinated black or green tea, take the bag out after about five minutes and let that water cool without it inside you don't want the caffeine to be too strong, okay. So after its cooled, I just transfer the tea to an application bottle to make it easier to apply on myself and that's it. That'S how you prepare it. So, let's go apply the tea to our scalp so bare with me. Now I'm testing out different backgrounds to change it up a bit. Let me know if you like it in the comments or not: ok, so applying this on freshly washed hair. I just shampooed, I'm gon na conditioned and detangle and then follow that up with a deep conditioner, but first I apply my decaf green tea, which is nice and cool. Now, and of course, I'd usually do this in the shower, so you literally just take that bottle and apply it to my scalp. Don'T worry about the ends or the middle of your hair. This is the treatment that you'll focus only on your scalp, ok, so how the heck does this work right? Well, hair loss and hair shedding is caused by a hormone called DHT caffeine blocks, DHT and its effects helping to reduce hair fall and stimulate new hair growth. So you can choose black or green tea. I actually decided to go with the decaf green tea, because I wanted to use as little caffeine as necessary to start off and then work. My way up, if I needed to, if you want to go full caffeination, definitely go for it just be careful and make sure that you monitor your results. So once your entire scalp is covered in tea and you've massaged it in you can leave it on. For about 15 minutes and then rinse it out, I'm actually gon na use that 15 minutes to detangle my hair, so working one section at a time, I'm just gon na apply my cheap detangling conditioner and work it through detangling with my fingers to get the nuts Out then, just twist it back up and repeat on another section of hair. This is just how I choose to pass the time as my tea soaks into my scalp, I have to detangle my hair anyway, so I might as well be efficient. Some other benefits of the Tiryns besides reduced shutting include thicker, hair and promoting hair growth, so that first side is nice and detangled, I'm just gon na repeat on the other side. At this point I rinse my hair of all of that conditioner and tea. That'S on my scalp - and this is a really important step - just make sure to follow up with a deep conditioner to keep your hair, nice and hydrated. After all that caffeine within two weeks, you should see a huge difference, or at least a difference in the amount of shutting that you have you guys this works, it works so well and it's shocking, I just want to say, don't abuse it, because caffeine is drying. It dries out your body and it can also dry out your hair. So I did it the first week and then I followed it up the second week and then I realized that I should probably be skipping every other week because it can dry out your hair. After about a month and a half, I just stopped completely because I was getting great results. My hair does not shed as much as it does anymore, and I didn't want to abuse the teabag too. Much of a good thing is sometimes a bad thing and I don't want to number one: have my scalp get used to that tea on my head or number two. I don't want to dry out my hair, so I might have suffer. You are to do this. Every other week, for about a month a month and a half and if you're seeing great results, then stop there's no reason for you to go further with it, because you're already getting great results, but it's always great to have it in your arsenal. So my plan is that if I do start to see more shedding again, then I can always just go grab another teabag and then start the rotation again doing it every other week for about a month and then I'll. Stop. That'S how I plan to use the green tea rinse. I don't want to be in my routine all the time I just want to use it when I need it and it's just nice to have in my back pocket as a tool. I'M going to show you the amount of hair that I lost at the time that I filmed the video that you guys are seeing today of me applying the green tea in the bathroom. That'S it. This is literally what I lost, and I also do pre-poo now. So this includes the hair that I took out when I was detangling while pre-cooling. This includes the hair that I took out of my hair, while detangling with the conditioner and also what I showered all of that is in this tiny little ball. I washed my hair again yesterday for this washing go and I got even less so it just keeps getting better. It'S amazing! It'S amazing, if you guys, are having a shedding issue, give this a try. Stick with the decaf. If you find that the decaf is not working for you, then go ahead and use full caffeinated. Oh there's no point starting at like full caffeination. If you can get away with getting great results with decaf, you know why put more caffeine on your head than you need, so, if you guys have any questions, leave them in the comments below hope. This video is helpful. Also, if you give this a try and it works for you, can you please come back and leave a comment that it worked, because I want people to know that this really really really works and having your testimonials in the comments will definitely help that out too. So alright, guys again, I hope you enjoyed this video and I will you

Precious Lewis: Do really you think it's the tea or could it be the pregnancy? When I was pregnant the amount of hair I shed decreased substantially but after giving birth returned to normal.

Tara R: I don’t believe many you tubers when it comes to hair care, growth, stop shedding etc. but I have tried this and it REALLY WORKS. I have tried many things you do in your videos and have gotten much success. Thanks for your integrity and honesty. I am subscribed for life! ❤️‍♀️

Katrina Mosley: This has really brought life back to me, its hard when you feel your going backwards with your natural hair journey. Loosing hair & shedding is painful. But again you remind me it will turn around with great patience. Thanks for this video.

Wazakauye Zulu: I came back to tell you that this 100% works

abawitx: Doing a black tea rinse for 1 month, once a week, really helped my shedding after a horrible relaxer job 2 years ago ( my own fail) and massive hair loss. I mix it with my deep conditioner as well as rinse with the leftovers after rinsing the deep conditioner. I only did it that month and sparringly after that when my hair stopped freaking out and got back on my natural hair regimen. Shedding is next to nothing, actually way less than prior to my 1 time relaxer interruption and setback. oh, great shine as well. It 100% works. I use 3 black tea bags per rinse (black so it doesn't lighten my hair color).

DiscoveringNatural: Hey girl! This is exactly how I do my black tea rinse. Yeah, I did a video 2 years ago. You can also try coffee rinses. (also have a video on that too). For those who try this and still struggle with excessive shedding, check your iron level. If you have iron deficiency, then you might also make sure to use an iron supplement. Please contact your Dr first. Happy Healthy hair.

Sharon Perry: This is week 2 of using the green tea rinse. My shedding has decreased tremendously! I am so glad i came across this video!❤❤❤❤

JoLindy Daniels: Herbal tea definitely works! I have been using herbal tea as liquid in my spray bottle for at least 7-8 years. My herbs of choice are horsetail, marshmallow root, nettle, chamomile, burdock root. I steep about 1-2 hours. Shedding is minimal!

Sophia: This works you guys! My hair was shredding like crazy and after 3 tea rinses the shedding was MINIMAL and my hair felt stronger

Lizzy Jacobs: Yes it works. I wish I would have known about this year's ago. I did one rinse. I no longer have a shedding issue. I used regular tea. I can't believe how fast it works.

Jane's HS Diaries: My postpartum shedding was so bad after having my son. Now he’s a year old, and I’m still shedding! I will definitely be trying this, thank you so much!! ❤️❤️

Sunny WS: I tweaked your method, I boiled black tea, oat and lentil. Strained it and only used the slimy water as deep conditioning....OMG talk about a screeching halt to my many years of excessive shedding. Thank you so much for the tea idea.

Dominique Hector: This video couldn't have come at a better time! I've been experiencing ridiculous shedding for about 4 months now and I couldn't figure out why. I'm definitely trying this and will let you know my results. thank you so much!!!

Christen Robinson: Hey Gorgeous! Thank you so much for this video. I recently came across it earlier last week and decided to give it a go for my daughter's hair that's been shedding more than normal. Boy oh boy this is truly a golden gem to keep on the shelf as an "in case of emergency" go to regimen!! Since my daughter is 6, I am only doing this treatment one time this month then will co-wash, condition, and LCO like normal with simple styles for her and monitor through next month to see if we need to do it again. I Pre-pooed her hair with aloe vera, shampooed and lightly finger detangled her curls, rinsed out her hair and followed with the Green Tea rinse then applied conditioner followed by a deep conditioner just like in the video. I left her deep conditioner on all day namely because we didn't have to go anywhere though I planned to leave it for an hour initially. After all that I did her LCO using products you recommended in other videos (The mane choice detangler, a DIY fluffy butter, and a nutrient rich DIY hair oil until my melanin products get here :0) ) and realized after completing her style that I went through her entire head with ZERO shedding!!! Like nothing came out!! I'm so grateful and again thank you so much!!

CaMecia Bain: I did this last year with black tea and OMG...same results after the first use! my bathroom drain loved me

Fancy Bella: Thank you so much for this video! I tried the green tea rinse a few hours ago and followed all of the steps you used and I immediately noticed a difference. My hair feels absolutely wonderful and my hair sheds were definitely less than before! I was skeptical at first but I'm happy I tried it. It will definitely be apart of my hair wash routine from now on. Thanks Whitney!! :-)

Georgina Cook: Thank you for this suggestion. I have been experiencing a huge amount of shedding over the last year or so. I researched the DIH and found that it is also associated with the transition into menopause. This explains so much for me. I will definitely be trying the tea rinse, I hope it works. Thanks Naptural85!

MrsDetroit622: It totally works for me. This has been in my regimen off and on for years with nothing but great results!

KLDesign1: Hi Whitney! Thank you for this tip, and CONGRATULATIONS on going back to your own natural preparations! That's what made me subscribe in the first place (other than being inspired by your wonderful hair and your journey), and you're right: they work! A request also: when you do a non-styling video, your hair always looks great. Can you remember to add a link to how you styled your hair too? Thank you again!

Beautiful Savannah: For a great period of time my hair has been falling out tremendously! Its thinned out so bad I reverted to wigs and weave. Every wash or detangleing no matter how gentle or minor produced extreme shedding for me. Even basic combing daily. Ive never had a length problem. Always have had long relaxed but naturally curly hair. I had finally concluded at this point to cut my hair into a short cut and start all over. I tried the blk tea rinse this Saturday and babyyyyyy when I tell you the results are dramatic! My shedding hhas stopped at least 90% less.......no lie! This really does work and I'll advice this to many is desperate need for help.

Pamela Mines: Hi Whit! Congrats on your pregnancy!! So happy for you, Filipe, Olivia and your beautiful family.  I love all of your videos. So entertaining and incredibly helpful.  I tried the tea rinse, and it worked like magic!! Results were immediate, just as you found.  Thanks for all of your great tips.

MelissaQ: Omgosh I totally forgot i was doing this after the baby! So need to do this because the plumber has been coming out wayyyy too much! TEA RINSES TOTALLY WORKS! my hair was stronger and thicker in addition to a decrease I. Shedding! Thanks for reminding me!

Dead Dread Lock: I just wanted to let you know that you are a "HouseHold Name" in my castle and I thank you so much for taking the time out to do the work you do. My wife, who is natural. Convinced me to grow my hair out and be natural, have been learning from your videos and no one else for about 3 years now. Your info and research is so on point that I have alerts of your postings on YouTube to my phone, and when I get one. We stop what we are doing and watch you together. Thank you for helping us keep our hair health to a percentage no other can reach and another motivational tool of being love with a wonderful Natural Queen. So from our family to yours. God bless you all and please keep up the wonderful work.

Jazmin Jordan: Great tea rinse video for excessive hair shedding, Whitney! I need to try this since I have excessive shedding sometimes. I don't drink caffeine or use caffeine, so I'll just use my Herbal teas that I drink that don't have caffeine in them at all. Great amount of shedding! Congrats on your 2nd pregnancy again!

susieg: I gave birth almost two years ago and I still have excessive shedding, possibly because I also breastfeed, so I tried this out. I used regular caffeinated green tea and I noticed a huge difference after one try! I would definitely recommend this and I thank you so much for sharing!

nudawn88: I truly, truly appreciate you sharing this video! I noticed that my hair suddenly started shedding excessively over the past few months, and I remembered this video. I followed it step-by-step last week. I began my second pre-poo regimen this morning (with the aloe vera leaf gel, per another one of your most super amazing videos!!!) since the first tea rinse, and there was considerably LESS shedding during the pre-poo process today!!! I will wash it tomorrow, but I can already tell the difference because it was so much more shedding during the whole pre-poo process before I tried this tea rinse. YOU ARE AMAZING!!! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing!

PRINCESS MAHIYA: Just started doing tea rinses couple of months ago and it actually does work! After 6 days I saw less shedding an breakage even in the shower! Thank you so much for sharing!

Markisha: Thanks Whitney!!! I've been CRYING about this hair shedding for a couple of weeks now! I will definitely be trying this out as I've exhausted all other options that I've been aware of. I'm 7 mths pregnant with our 3rd daughter and my mom says it's hormonal. ANY type of relief to my hair would help. My hair has taken a serious moisture and length/volume hit this pregnancy.

Like nothing came out!! I'm so grateful and again thank you so much!!

books4mia: I love your DIY videos. Its been almost a week since using a full caffeinated green and black tea combo. I had massive hair loss due to premenopause. I added some oils to the rinse and deep conditioned 10 minutes later. my hair has never been so moisturized even after almost a week.

Naturally April: I'm definitely gonna give this a try. I noticed today during my wash day I was shedding ALOT! the tutorial

Priscilla Ofei: HI Naps, i tried the tea rinse twice. My hair is in protective style so i can't tell if there's any improvement in shedding but i realised that my hair doesn't itch excessively any more since i did the tea rinse and it's the only new thing in regimen. What do you think?

Ashunti Cobbins: Hey! I love all of your hair tips! They help me out a lot! But I have a question, how often do you recommend trimming your ends? I usually go to a local hairstylist but I feel that she always cut more than what needs to be cut. And I'm afraid to do it myself because I don't want my hair to be uneven. I'm seeing lots of growth in my hair and I know that it will need a trim from time to time. What do you suggest? Lol

RebeccaA71: Just wanted to let you know that I've tried using the tea just once, and it has definitely cut down on the shedding of my hair. It's going on week number two and it's still working for me. I will continue to use this process. Thanks for sharing.

Ashley Cooper: This absolutely worked for me. This year I noticed my hair was shedding more than it has ever shed before, and I have no idea why. I tried this tea rinse using full caffeinated green tea, but I didn't use much tea, not even a full 8 oz. I just stored the rest in the fridge. I noticed immediately that I had almost no shedding, literally for about 2 months. For the first 2 weeks, though, my hair was really dry. Obviously, I think that was because I opted for full caffeine, but I don't think my deep conditioner was very good or moisturizing. My last two wash days, my hair is shedding more, so I guess it is time for another tea rinse.

Moriah Barrett: I did the tea rinse over the past 2 washes and what a difference! I've had this problem for a while and while its improved it still was too much. I still would like to see improvement but I'm really happy so far. Thank you so much!

Miss Nolver: I've managed to get my hair in the right protein balance, so my hair hardly sheds at all to none, but I'm always eager to learn new things. Thank you for this! Edit: I tried it with black tea for my mom and I and it 100% works!

DharlolaO: heyyyyy girl , I'm here to say thank you ! yes it does work , I have used it for 1 month , 4 times and my shedding has reduce greatly !

Sonya gladney: OMG!!!! This really works!! I'm sooooo happy right now that I could bust some tears! After I applied the decaff green tea I added conditioner to detangle, while the tea still on my scalp. During the detangling process, I only lost a pinky tip size of hair, when my usual hair loss is about the size of an egg! This is incredible!! Ladies and men you have to try this! You have nothing to lose just more hair to gain! Thank you so much Naptural85 for this video!❤ I'm looking forward to thicker and healthier hair.

chris Allen: Omg, thank you so much!!! Shedding is my main hair issue. Heck, it may be my ONLY hair issue. I consider myself lucky to have so much hair, but I must lose the equivalent of a child's wig every week! That can't be okay. It's a big, dense fist full of shed hair every time I do a wash and go, which is every week. I will start the tea treatment THIS WEEK and will return with my results. Thank you again for this tip!

Yes Her Esther J: Yes, this definitely works. I immediately noticed less shedding after only doing 1 tea rinse, which is amazing! Thank you soo much for sharing!

Nikkia: I just tried this and it's great! I immedietly felt the difference between a regular wash and the tea rinse, my hair felt thicker (even while applying it) and the breakage was reduced by a lot. All the shed was hair that had already broken off and died. Now I'm gonna follow it up with a hair smoothie and she's butter in twists. I'm excited to see the results after this week.

A Hunt: OMG THIS WORKS!!! I have been experience excessive shedding for the past year. Whenever I touch my hair something always came out on my fingers. I tried this last week and haven't seen a single hair shed out until today. I'll definitely do this once a week along with a deep conditioner and steam treatment. Maybe now my hair will actually grow out. Thank you so much for this video.

Alice Woods: So happy I found this video! ... The amount of shedding that I do is just insane, my hair is all over my house, carpets, tables, sofá, my bed and shower. I keep cleaning but it is embarrassing and I not even pregnant yet. Luckily I have a lot of hair but still I need to stop shedding this much. I Can’t wait to try the tea rinse !! Thank you love this video

anjellie: shedding has been a HUGE issue for me. i thought it was because of relaxers but over 4 years without relaxers and oddly had the same issue. I did one session last night and no joke, I already see a big difference! I used caffeinated tea so maybe that's why the results were so soon but i'm so happy for this video!

Rhonda Miller Bryant: This worked for me. I was shocked at the difference. After about 5 weeks (washing 1-2x / week) I noticed that the shedding was back to what it was pre-green tree treatment. I have a cup of tea cooling right now. I'll be doing another green tea rinse tonight.

gese74: Update I've been doing the tea rinse for roughly three weeks I use regular caffeinated tea and it works my shedding has significantly reduced and my hair seems slightly thicker I'm so relieved. I've had so many set backs with my hair and the tea rinse has differently helped.

Allison Blondell: This really works! Stopped shedding almost immediately :)

mzsweeterthanhoney: I love love love your DIY. Please keep them up!!! I'm going for mostly DIY products this year. Thanks in advance!! (Doing green tea rinse right now...fingers crossed that it works for me)

Rachel P: WHITNEY!!!!! I use to lose chunks of hair. I tried this once! ONE TIME!!! My Hair didn't shed all that much! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

coilygurl: This is great!! I have had trouble with shedding for a very long time. I'm at the point where you can see noticeable thinning. I am so going to try this!! If I can just hold on the the hair I have and not lose any more I will be satisfied! Hopefully this will help to grow some back. Thank you so much for sharing! And thanks to the ladies who commented their results also.

Melanie Bailey: I've used green tea rinse and it's awesome. It did reduce my shedding, have my hair strength, and added a great shine. This does work.

Cheryl Rougeau: I used the tea rinse and it worked wonderfully! I experienced very little shedding on my first use of the tea rinse. Thank you so much!

life2livealways: Tried this last week with regular green tea. Went from almost palm full of shed hair to less than a quarter size shedding. This week wash day #2 due to wash and go product on my hair. Same results, less than quarter size shedding! I'm going to do this once or twice a month. Very happy with results.

Nancy Patrick: I've had some serious shedding lately. I tried this hoping it would work. OMG! I only had to do it once. The shedding just about stopped. Thank you!

Phabulous Fan: Whitney, Whitney, Whitney! OMG, this actually worked for me. I've been natural for 7 years now & I've only seen a tremendous amount of shedding when I wash, but this morning I tried the Tea & I am amazed at the minimum amount of hairs that have shed. Thank you for sharing this hair-changing tip.

Swalonda M Just Add Music & Life: I tried this and it worked for me. It was shocking how well and how quick I got results. I've since sent this video to family and friends suffering with shedding. Thanks Naptural!

HijaDelMar6: I was watching another Youtuber's video about tea rinses yesterday (she makes a tea spray actually, which is what I decided to do also). I made some for myself, sprayed my hair with it before going to bed, and today I definitely shed substantially less hair than I normally would, and my hair also feels fuller. :)

Andrea C: I'm going to definitely try this regimen, because I'm in the transitioning stage from relaxed to natural. Thank you!

Jasmine Sorensen: So excited to try this! I’ve been shedding a lot more since my hair has grown! My hair barely shed at all after my big chop so this is scary for me lol. Thanks so much!

MaryAnne Achieng: I did it for 2 washes before braiding my hair. When I took out the braids there was definitely a noticeable reduction in the hair loss and breakage, so thanks!

minabeanie: I did the tea treatment and it worked soooo well.

Millie Mi: I have noticed increased shedding. I figured I'd been lazy with my normal routine and "that's what I get" for being lazy. I'm gonna make sure I get back on track with the deep condition routine but I'm so gonna try this for the next 3 weeks! Thanks for sharing you're so sweet!

Travera Q: I did my second tea rinse today, and barely shed any hair! I used a full caffeinated tea bag because my shedding was out of hand. I may do another in a couple of weeks. Thank you!!

Valerie Dorsainvil: OMG!!! I can't believe how much less my hair she'd on wash day!! I still can't thank you enough for this video. You rock!!!

Lajibolala: I used this tea rinse years ago and completely worked, especially with the winter shedding. Got recommended this video again, just as my hair is shedding again and i now wonder why I ever stopped using it. ❤️Whitney

tara 8485: Yes this does work. I was experiencing some bad shedding awhile ago and once I started using organic green tea rinses I did stop the shedding

imgrownforreal: Your hair looks like it is back to the beautiful curls and coils I fell in love with about two years ago. It looks healthy and thick.

JustmeNC: I can't wait to try it because I shed so much , this was so helpful ! Your hair lu looks so healthy !

TiffyB: Thank you so much for including the steps. A lot of these hair tutorials just jump right in and get to talking without actually labeling and putting up the steps thank you again. And as for a background I think a brighter color would look great for your skin tone

DeRob55: I'm going to try the tea rinse this weekend. I experience a lot of shedding and I also know that I need to reincorporate deep conditioning into my routine

Chimere McCrorey: I was freaking out about shed and this is all I needed to hear. Transition has been interesting but if this works I may be able to overcome.

Barby: I can not thank you enough... I was so scared of how much my hair was falling out... I tried the decaffeinated green tea on my hair once and it's been 2 weeks and I am no longer shedding hair like no tomorrow. Thank you soooooo much!!!

Diva Den: I'm so surprised that this is your first tea rinse video. I do a tea rinse 2-3 times a year, but I use black tea full caffeine. You did provide more information than I thought I new about tea rinses so now I changed it from being my last step. Congratulations on being pregnant.

Toya Chaney: I literally just tried this today after watching your video . This was a life savior ! I will do it again in two weeks . I also used conditioner with an egg and let both sit in my hair . Thanks !

Darlene Brown: I really needed this my shedding is sooooo bad , I am surprised I am not bald it's like 15 of those balls of hair you had , I was about to give up , but I'll try the tea , anything at this point I am just loosing so much hair idk

DanniAllyssa: Y’all! I just tried this and it worked for me! Like, I can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner. There was almost no shedding while I was finger detangling! Thank you for this tutorial!

Tammie Jones: I started using the tea rinse about a month ago. And I’m seeing great results. Thanks love for the video.

Candice Charlton: I did my first green tea rinse last week and I have to say I'm impressed I only shed a very amount of hair. I'm gonna do another next time. Thank you

Abby _Shine: I am experiencing postpartum shedding and have decided to try this because I forwarded your video to my mom who told me it worked wonders for her . Thank you for sharing

Tiaona87: Hi Whitney! Can the green tea be incorporated into a spray? If so, do you have any recipes? I've been trying to keep my hair in protective styles to reduce the daily manipulation, but if I need to retwist my hair between washes I tend to shed a lot then too. Any help would be great! Loved the video, but I agree that the background was too dark. Thank you in advance!

aurin: This is insane! I have been shedding like crazy for weeks now due to a change in medication and it completely stopped once I rinsed with green tea. I am so shocked I thought I was going to have to big chop

Carneys Journey: Thank you so much for this video I have had excessive hair lost from WLS since July. I've been doing black castor oil treatments and I havent seen any results. I did this tonight and there was hardly any shedding at all...compared to the handfuls I've had during each shampoo detangle session. I decided to cut my hair 5 weeks ago because it was so discouraging. I've been natural all my life and never had hairloss experience. I have a pic posted on my IG page carneys.journey. Take a look at my results. This rinse will definitely be in my regimen. https://www.instagram.com/p/BPG-Pxcg6VB/

Brenda Olumodeji: I tried this and it worked. I was so excited. I've had years of excessive hair breakage. Anytime I touch my hair, strands always come out. But after one tea rinse, this drastically reduced. there was no hair all over my bathroom floor. Thank you for this.

Riobabygurl: I was skeptical but I was willing to try anything to stop my excessive shedding. After only one tea rinse my wash day shedding reduced by more than 75%. Luckily I kept my shed hair from the last 4 washes so I had more than a month of wash day shedding to compare. I used a regular Lipton teabag with your process. I can't wait to see more results. SO FAR IT WORKS!!!!

Secure a Future with Natasha- Misha : This worked very well for me I still had shedding but it wasn’t as bad as last week. I will use it for a month or so and hope it solves the shedding for good. Thank you so much I used the green tea and it was fine.

filmgeek17: Tea rinses are awesome! I do them during the summer months. I have a tea ball infuser that I use to brew rosemary & lavender to make a hair tea. I usually add a few drops of peppermint then pop it in the fridge over night. I like to apply mine in the shower after I wash & condition my hair. I may try this method for the colder months!

LaKeya Jones: +Naptural85 OMG Whitney, thank you a thousand times for this video!!! I literally saw less shedding on the first wash. I couldn't believe it and thought I was being overly optimistic, but washing my hair a week later I realized it worked. I went from 3 big balls to 1 smaller ball. It works, it works, it works . Thanks again!!!

Bri: Yes!!! This tip works so well! More people definitely need to know about this. For those who want to skip a step, you can mix your favorite deep conditioner with the tea. That's what I do and it works just as fine. I think a brighter background would suit you better. The darkness was sort of distracting. ☺️

Its Love: OMGOSH! I can't believe just how fast I'm seeing results with this tea rinse!!! I took a picture of the amount of hair that I shedded last Sunday right before trying the rinse for the first time so that I could kind of gauge if this would really work for me. I am soooo excited to say that when I took down my braids in preparation to do this rinse again this Sunday, the hair that I shed was less than half the amount last week!!! Thank you so much for posting this video!!! I am a new fan and subscriber and I will definitely be trying a lot of your other diy hair solutions! BTW, congrats on your pregnancy! Abundant blessings!

Precious Lewis: Thanks much for your feedback! I can't wait to try it myself as I've been looking for something to add to my regimen to assist with excess shedding. I'll be sure to come back and post my results. Thanks again and best wishes to you!

Kyla Fuller: I'm gonna have to try it. I personally get a lot of shedding but I think that's from detangling less than I should. If I did it more often there probably wouldn't be build up.

Genie Love: Awesome tips!!! I’ve been shedding like crazy but I’m definitely going to try this.

dawnye C: being anemic can cause your hair to shed as well. So I start taking iron pills and my excessive shedding stopped immediately

A Tmob: YES YES YES YES this REALLY works!!!! I've been doing it on and off for the last 6 months. It really does work!!!! I use black tea bag. Let it set for about five minutes and take the teabag out and then proceed with deep conditioner routine.

Keona Welch: OMG! Tried it when I washed my hair 3 weeks ago. Just getting ready to get in the shower now to wash it again, and after detangling, the breakage is SOOOOO much less than last time. Wow. Thats really cool. It really works. I needed this. thank you! :-)

cruzmery j: Thank you for sharing this Tip. I tried as part of my hair routine last time I washed and was amazed at how fast and how efficient it was. I only 1/4th of what I was shedding prior. Amazing!

Sheree: Doing this riiight now!! Woke up from an overnight aloe vera pre poo, sitting with tea rinse + deep conditioner righ now ❤❤ love u and your fam!!!

Latanya Leach: Thanks Whitney for sharing such an amazing method! I tried it and it work like a charm and it's also a detangler! Your hair will also be super soft!

Marjorie Nightingale: It worked! I've been shedding so much for so long I thought it was normal. I'm excited to see what my hair will look like six months from now. Thank you!!
