What'S up guys, it's your girl, Breanna aka, mini Marley and in today's video I'm going to be giving you what you have been asking for for the longest time, and that is an updated twist out tutorial. So, as you can see, these are my results. I just did a brush twist out and I am loving the way my hair looks. This is basically what I've been doing to my hair since around August I'd say when I got my hair cut into the tapered fro. My hair has been super healthy, since I cut all those ends off and it's just been loving this whist out. So I've been giving it to her okay, so these are my results and I'm absolutely in love with it, and if you want to see what I did to get this twist out, then keep watching this tutorial. Okay, so I just want to show you guys exactly what products I've been using to do this twist out, and it starts with my all-time favorite go-to product that I always recommend when you guys ask me what products you should try and it's the Shea Moisture curl Enhancing smoothie, so I basically twist my hair using this and then I add an oil or some kind of thick product. That'S gon na really moisturize my hair and lately I've either been using castor oil or this - and this is the Jane Carter solution nourishing shine, and this is like a really thick product. I'M pretty sure has a lot of shea butter in it. Cuz. That'S the texture of the product is similar to shea butter. The only other thing that I add is the diva curl ultra defining gel. It'S just basically a nice light, gel it's not as strong as eco styler, which I would never use for a twist on or anything like that. It'S just much lighter, but it makes sure that you get that hold and keeps your curls nice and defined. So I use my curl enhancing a little bit of inertia and shine. That gives me my moisture and my styling cream. Then I add a little bit of this gel and that gives me the whole and the definition once my twists are finished the next day. There are two products that I use and that's the design, essentials, coconut and monoi oil. It'S the deep moisture oil treatment and my eco styler gel. You want extra shine. I recommend a serum like this one, so I put that on my hands and I just use that to keep my hand silky and my hair silky as I undo my twists and then once that's all done. I basically use my eco styler gel to lay my edges. Cuz come on. Damn, do you see the lage okay? So again, you will see me do all of these steps in this tutorial. So let's just get on into it. So before I started the tutorial, I just wanted to show you guys what my hair is looking like before this is a week old twist out and it's in a puff. If you want to see how I do my puff then give this video a like. So my hair is now freshly washed and I like to wear that shower cap, just to keep the moisture locked in while I'm getting ready. So I am going to start by parting off all the sections in my hair. I like to do this so that I don't have a line down the middle in the back when I'm done so. My first section just goes from that part, which is where I wear my hair part to the side all the time down to my ear. Then I just wet this section and add my first product, which is the Shea Moisture, curl enhancing smoothie and then, after I add the Shea Moisture Co enhancing smoothie, I'm just going in and adding some of that Jane Carter, solutions nourish and shine, and this product is Much easier to add with another product, because it's just so thick so in the next section as you'll see me doing, I will be mixing the Shea Moisture, curl enhancing smoothie and the Jane cutter solution so that it's easier to distribute so just go ahead and part. Your hair, from the part, all the way down to your ear, if you're going to part it in the same way that I do and then what this section and evenly distribute your mixture of those two products to this section and, as you can see, I'm very Generous, I like to make sure that my hair is super moisturized and yeah. So that's what I'm doing right now and I'm just little bit more water so that the product can just move around a little bit better. Then I'm going to pin that up and finish the rest of my hair. So now that everything is all sectioned off, I'm going to start with my first twist and as you can see, I pretty much do medium sized twist. I don't like them too, small or too chunky, but it's all about the look that you want and I use my Denman brush for extra definition. That is how you get curl definition and, as you can see, I just added a little bit of that ultra defining gel to this section, and I went ahead and started twisting it up. So I really love this method of basically applying the product to your hair. Before you start twisting, because it prevents your hair from drying out and getting all crusty before you get to the top of it. So, as you know, sometimes when you start on the back by the time you get to the front, your hair is really dry, but this method of applying the products to the sections before you start twisting really just helps you avoid that. So, as you can see for this back section, I felt like that twist needed a little bit more moisture. So I just added a little bit of the Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie added my gel, and now I'm twisting it up. So, basically, you can just go ahead and add moisture wherever you feel like your hair is dry but other than that just add a teeny bit of that gel go ahead and you know detangle it with your Denman brush and then twist. So when I get to the end of my hair, I just like to call it on my finger and then I coil the twist at the base and pull off the extra product. I'Ll show you that better later on in the video - but this is the back of my hair - all twisted up as you can see, my twists are nice and chunky and I don't have a middle part. That'S going to be hard to get rid of once my hair is finished, so I'm just twisting up this section now in the front and then when I get to the end, I'm gon na go ahead and detangle it and make sure that there are no knots. Quill it around my finger and then I'm gon na coil at the top and basically pull down the twist and make sure that there's no extra product in it because, as you can see, I'm just really generous with product. So I'd like to get the extra out. So that it can dry quicker, so I'm just going to go ahead and repeat these same exact steps throughout the rest of my hair. Add moisture where you feel necessary. Add a little bit of gel for extra hold, go ahead and use your Denman brush. If you want a really defined twist out and then go ahead and finish your medium-sized twists, I'm done with the front side and I'm going to go ahead and finish up the other side. So at this point my hair is all twisted up and looking good and I'm just gon na go to bed and wake up in the morning for the takedown, and I don't put anything on my hair to sleep. I just go ahead and sleep on a satin pillowcase. So what's the next morning, my twists are completely dry and the first thing that I'm gon na do is use that design essentials, coconut and monoi serum oil type thing and put that all over my hair. Just for some added shine, which you guys ask me all the time my hair tends to be shiny just naturally, but I do use that for extra shine and to make it easier to undo my twist and as you can see, I'm just separating my hair, where It naturally separates curling it around my finger to get rid of any frizz. So, let's move to the front where it's a little bit easier to see, I'm just again separating my curls, where they naturally feel like they want to come apart, and then I just like to curl each individual curl or run my finger in case there's any frizz That just basically helps you curl it right back up and get rid of that frizz immediately, which is how I get this nice really defined look. So this is what those curls look like up close and, as you can see, I really do separate a lot. So my curls are pretty small, the individual curls, but again that's up to you. If you want to chunkier twists out, then do bigger twists and separate less. If you want really defined twists, then you can do them smaller and separate a lot like I do so when I get to the front of my hair. This is what it's looking like and I'm going to get ready to fluff this out. With my pick - and I also use my hands quite a bit without the pig just to keep fluffing it until I get it to how I like it, but again it will fluff out throughout the week. So don't go too hard with your pig if you're gon na wear this for a while. So the next thing that I like to do is basically clip down each side of my hair and you'll. See why in a minute, but I'm just taking my clips and clipping down each side carefully, not to disturb the curl and then I'm gon na go in with my eco styler, gel and slay my edges. So this is completely up to you. I know I go pretty hard on my edges, but that's just the look that I like I like when my hair looks like this, especially since I got the tapered cut. This is what I've been doing, but if that's not your thing, then you don't have to do that. So I'm just gon na slay my edges with my little toothbrush and my eco styler gel, then I'm gon na put on my scarf now. If I hadn't done my makeup, I would have done my scarf first and then did my makeup picked up my outfit. That kind of thing - and this basically just allows your edges to set and dry so go ahead and take those clips out of the back once you have your scarf on, and this also helps me pull my hair back into the position that I want it. You guys asked how I get the front of my hair to stand up, and this is how I just basically tie it down in that direction so that it's forced to go. That way. Then, once I feel like my edges are set, I go ahead and take off my scarf and fluff up my hair, as you can see me doing here and that's pretty much it for my twist style. I hope you guys really enjoyed this video and enjoyed my results. Ask me any questions if you have them down below and I'll leave links to their products in the description box. A tutorial on this makeup is coming next, so I'll see you on my channel in a few peace out, guys don't forget to Like and subscribe
