Hi, I'm Melissa Wilson with Melissa's lessons, I'm here to show you how to properly blow-dry black woman's hair first you're going to need a blow-dryer most important second you're, going to need a paddle brush. I recommend with tips because the tips have to stimulate the scalp. They also help to move through the hair smoothly you're going to need Clips you're, also going to need a comb before blow-drying. I would recommend that you put on a product to help to protect this hair, no more than the size of a dime. You want to start at the bottom work your way up and then rub the excess over the top. You do not want to just clump it all in one area, once you have worked in the silky centers or the product that you use to protect the hair, you want to start by making sure that you can brush through the hair properly, starting with the ends. Once you use the ends and work your way up, I'm going to start in the back and I'm going to section off everything that I am NOT blow-drying. I am using my rat tail because it's it gives me a smooth party you're, going to make sure that you have your brush and your blow-dryer you're, going to make sure that you point your bow drive away from your client you're, going to use small pieces of Hair at a time and you're going to move forward like so fresh everything over this is called flat, repping and brush over thing. Everything over again remember to use, smooth and even strokes while bow drying. Once that section is dry, you want to move on to the next section repeat that process until you until you get to the front of the head, you are now at your final step. What you want to do what your final step is once again make sure you're not blows blowing the air directly on your client, keep the dryer away from the client and towards the brush about three inches away from there you're going to flat brush and you're. Also going to extend to the from the root to the ends, the flat wrap is helping to draw the roots, you want there to be straight and it needs to be smooth and manageable. My name is Melissa Wilson and I'm just giving you tips on how to build your head.

elysha white: the lady getting her hair done looks like " why the hell did i sign up for this?'

colette2345: I want this lady to do my hair...:)

Irma Sier: Awesome video!! Thank you sista✊

Tunisia Jones: ok me bein black & having black hair , this helped alot & i actually learned that that technique really helps our hair , it doesnt matter if the woman is black white or puerto rican it all depends on the person if they know how to do hair or not ..

Johnnah: Thank you...very good tutorial.

Nikki g: does her hair have a smoothing treatment on it? It seems my clients hair has a lot more volume.

Shavonne Stacia: Great technique, im gonna try this now that i have a bob haircut, Thank you.

Chinky Loc Goddess: thank you for the tips

Shavonne Stacia: ....And Black people do have long hair....smdh, Bless your heart, it just depends how you take care of it.....

lolonixon: That is completely incorrect. Any great stylist can help ANYONE to healthy hair. Stylists are artists.dont be silly.

Ashley235: sometimes the Dominicans use too much heat. you'll wonder why your hair breaking off and damaged after a few weeks of going to a Dominican salon.

Kimberly Farrington: Thanks, Melissa!

T Davis: Thanks! I needed that lesson. Thanks you so much

LaBeLLa MiSSDonna: I think you mean blow dry hair vertically (up&down) Doll, not horizontally (side to side) the way she was doing it...NO SHADE...I completely agree w/you 110%, I do not recommend blow drying hair like the way she was. =)

Jo LC: @nikasut My hair grows like an Afro, and it's pretty long now, but I'm mixed (French Creole, Puerto Rican, and Caucasian), and my sisters' hair grows down their backs, like your friends, and I know for a fact that if they got their hair chopped like that, or if I got my hair chopped like that, without my consent, there'd be drama. And this happened in Jamaica? Then we can settle this the Jamaican way- with machetes- lol

Elaine T: i go to the dominicans they burn the crap outta me but it my hair still feels light an fluffy... i love the feeling :)

ASGREENE123: would you recommend using the tooth attatchment on blow dryers

C Foster: They never demonstrate on NATURAL 4c hair.‍♀️

juliana dovalle: it's super difficult I'm afraid to burn their heads

daisyletsitgo: NEVER LISTEN TO SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR AND YOU'RE.

KristheMaknae: lol.. Why ya'll keep sayin' go to the Dominicans?? LOL.. It's painful though.. They don't care if they burn you lol.. (I'm Dominican lol)

washington101983: Amaze ball!!!

nikasut: @jlcii because they are jealous and as she said never go to someone with short hair, they will cut your hair off, I have heard it so may times. A friend of mine lost 6 inches on her hip length hair maliciously! to a jealous stylist ..I have seen it times and times again

nikasut: @jlcii It didn't happen in the US I'm not sure how it goes in her country I actually met through a black hair forum but I know in Jamaica there is no such thing as loosing a licence lol...And weren't you aware of these jealous stylists? How long is your hair..or maybe you just have a good one but I have heard this story times and times again.. They don't like to see your hair thriving cause they can't get theirs to

Lacehairwigs: nothing wrong with this

T King: @trinigirl21sq true true but you never know if her (stylist) hair was down her back b4 she went short....my nieces hair r down their backs but their mom hair is super short.....i went to a stylist that wasnt black and my hair was cute but my hair was hard....when i went to get my hair cut off by a black person my hair grew back quickly in just a few weeks.....it depends on if the person knows how to do hair....even if the stylist hair is long dont mean her hair is healthy.....its depends.....

DinaBoo0: Haha wow. Im definately goinn to the dominicans just seems like im gonna like the outcome wayyyyy bettter(im black btw)

nikasut: @jlcii lool No it happened in Bahamas I met her on a forum, but I live in Jamaica, my stylists isn't so bad but I am on hair journey and I can't afford to loose any unnecessary length right now so she won't be seeing me until I am mid back length :D that's I need a relaxer and I'm only relaxing twice this year

Msladyb12345: what type of blow dryer was that?

Mandachick13: what is the name of that blow dryer ???

Jo LC: @trinigirl21sq Why wouldn't I want a black stylist to do my black hair?

marco67yt: look on youtube for Wahl Rapunz hairbrush cleaner it cleans electric your brush in seconds

Darnae Walker: I want to be Darnae's hairstylist and I want to see you Melissa Wilson and I want to be your hairstylist and you are the best master hairstylist ever.
