As you're styling I'll ask questions, I figured that would just be efficient that way: yeah, hey guys and first of all she is short at it. Now I am not taller than most people, but I'm gon na enjoy my my height today. Actually, I'm so happy to meet you. I feel like I've been following her post on Instagram for the past year and a half, I want to say yeah, just kind of like creeping, her stuff and yes and followed me. I was like, oh my God. I just remember the day I slid in her DM asking her a question, and I love that she actually ends up, because you know penalties like startless things. She was like use this product and that, and that - and I was like ah thank you because usually like just do what's best for your hair, it's like okay anyways. What does that mean in this three-part series? We'Re going to take a look at how to wash condition and style natural hair in depth. In today's video we're going to talk about the stylus transition, because, yes, they also had to transition from using raw oils common issues as you transition how to wash and clarify natural hair over the counter products, as well as what is a quality product. How to easily start the detangling process as you shampoo, and how to deal with scalp issues, so I hope you enjoy I'll. Let you introduce yourself to the people. Okay, so hey y'all, my name is Elaine. I am the founder at yes, her studio and Tyco Nation. So yesterday is my salon down in Jacksonville Florida and I'm a crow specialist there. I love to show people how to do their hair. So on my page, you'll see a lot of me working one-on-one with my clients, and sometimes I get weird comments like. Why would I pay to go? Do my own here, I'm like shift your mindset, so I like to show people how to do their hair, so they can become styling and you really only need me for the cut part of it. So that's what I do and I'm very passionate about sharing that love of curl tight, curls, specifically across the world. I know that a lot of you watching probably are like well. This is cute enough, but I don't have any sellers near me to do this. For me, and so that's how Thai Crow Nation came about, is me traveling the world trying to teach people um, stylists specifically, and the people around the world that yes, your Thai girls can do anything you want them to do, and I want stylists around you to Be able to help you do that and that you're here in a way that makes you feel confident - and I love that you go around like that's one of the biggest questions that I get too like there's no type Chrome specialist in my city. Where can I go? Who do I trust? So I love that you're going around and helping people it has. You know we can use the help. I just I'm so excited to show you guys what we're gon na do to Jen's hair thing you know come come on along. I want a shape shape, not like a little tiny. Let me take a look, no take this. I want I, I don't want to look like yeah when I walk out of here. Okay, I want you to have fun with it. Of course, main reason why I'm here? Actually I don't know if you can tell, but I have little tips yeah. Those are one gone gone gone. I also want any split ends or what not to also be gone, especially in the back, because I haven't been taken care of you know you got ta, you got ta be accountable. I don't put anything in my head when I go to bed. I just I just go to bed. Okay, so I want any split ends gone and I want like a nice kind of drastic shape. Like okay, keep. Okay as much I mean that's possible, because it's already not that long, but for it to look like it's drastic, I feel like the sides in the back yeah I'm excited. Okay, I think I know the exact location is that clear and I have a ton of questions regarding flakes. I feel like that's my problem. I just fluffed it right now and then there's plates coming out right now. What did you use this now this time around? I use Uncle funky and I create all of them, but it's been two weeks at the color time was fun. I love it, you liked it I enjoyed it. I don't do anything, I don't enjoy anymore. So if I do something it's because I want to yeah, but I also like that you don't really you're realistic with your hair, like you know, you know your hair, and so you don't expect us to do something. Yeah we've been natural for a long time. You know, after a while you're when you first go natural, you I feel like a lot of us go natural because they see someone's hair that they like they're like. I want my hair to look like this and then, if maybe you have curls or maybe you have kinks and then the reality sets in so I've actually won gray curl over here a what one gray hair. Oh God, there's a lot. It'S all in the front too. I hate it. Oh okay, it's all in the front. You know there's not really that noticeable. It'S giving you're trying to be nice, ashy, okay. So this is for me because I want to know how long you've been a stylist. Okay and have you always done like a post natural hair through the lens of a simple routine, or you know oil than butter like after you transition yourself as well. You know what I mean: yeah like using Alden Butters with your clients and then now doing this yeah yeah. So I've been a stylist for about seven years now and I started my stylish Journey as a braider, so I was mostly just doing um quote-unquote first exercise for people, and that was the bulk of my career. Actually so I was a heavy believer in Jamaican black, castor oil. You couldn't tell me nothing. It definitely absolutely grew. My Essence bag any better. So when I first heard about like not using oil and I'm from Ghana, so today, whether it means a lot to us like we feel like it, heals everything like enough: castor oil, yeah, oh yeah, and everything you have a headache rub some castor oil. Shea butter is just like a part of my closer part of my life, and so when I heard that when I started seeing the normals nobody's thing, I was like a little confused at first, because I even had an oil line of my own, like an oil Blend that I was selling to clients to use on their scalp um when they had their braids in but which hair as I'm doing stuff. So I'm going in with the olaplex 4C glorifying shampoo, okay, but let me get back to it, I'm very interested if you're joining now, because really you being from Ghana and Shea Butter, yeah and even selling oils, I'm interested. So definitely I felt like. Oh, this is an attack on my business like hearing all of this, but then, but I always approach things with like an open mind. So I'm I'm Pro like trying something out. If I felt like it was done, then we move on and we go back to what we were doing so I definitely wanted to give it a try first and so um. I started using like myself as a guinea pig first when I started when I stopped using oil, so I didn't just go straight to being telling my clients not to use it. I was like well, I don't know what it's going to do to their hair when we stopped so um. I stopped using the oil on myself and I started to shampoo my hair weekly. This was a big deal for me because I was a big like wig wearer. I was in wigs more than anything and that wasn't because I didn't like my hair or something like I just loved it, and I liked the big hair and so the bigger the wig, the better yes um, but I would always get curly wigs. So when I saw that these stylists, who were talking about the no oils no Butters, were able to get people's hair, who look like lime quote unquote: 4C. Here I was like, oh, how are they getting are here to look like that, and so that's really what piqued my curiosity, because I'm like, if my hair can do it like. I don't really need to use my wigs as much to try and get that look. Okay, and so I tried it out, my first watch and go was not successful, because once again I was using um casserole and Shea butter as, like, I didn't, put the casserole on my hair. It was just on my scalp, but the shea butter was not my actual, like hair strand yeah, like both of us yeah, and so it my first wash and go definitely actually the first month of wash ago wasn't necessarily looking process. I think you're really discovering your hair all over again yeah. So if you don't allow yourself to go through these initial, like I don't even want to call them failures or initial discoveries of your hair, then you're not gon na get to where you really want to go, and I think sometimes we give up too quickly, because I could have done that first month and be like this does not work yeah I just like gave it a chance, and so yeah after that first month. It definitely wasn't like the curls weren't popping popping, but I saw something I saw a sun plus with the curl and I got excited so so what were you struggling with at first? Would you say what were someone here? I guess issues that you experienced yeah. So I was noticing that my hair after I washed it would still have like a residue on it. Definitely, and so I knew that was what was getting in the way of like not being able to see the curl pattern. Basically, so it would still just look like an afro SRI shampoo finish and it was the product, so that was just a sign that like even though I was clarifying and like shampooing Etc. I had been using the the Raw um, castor oil or shea butter for too long for it to have just magically gone away from one clarifying shampoo surgeon. Is that possible for say the coating of oil tube go away, because I know some people say it gets better with time, but some stylists also say. Sometimes your hair is just too almost too dehydrated yeah to be safe, so you gradually have to cut it. Yes and that's the I've only had I've only seen that happen like a very small amount of times. There is a point of no return which is unfortunate, but those same clients. I have a few who, like decided to make shopping. Their hair is like so different. Now and so yes, we could play the long game and gradually cut it off over time. But really you won't be able to see the true progress so like that year comes on, but most people are not on the too far gone in the Spectrum and usually that's not from the oils and butters. That'S from like the cuticle being damaged. So much from. Like the friction of some synthetic fibers available, so you're talking about protective stuff, it's too early on in this conversation right now you can see the shampoo didn't lather that much just because it's been two weeks since don't wash your hair yeah, so the next shampoo leather. That'S how you know my hair was dirty so yeah, you guys should always be shampooing multiple times like, especially on the days that you are clarifying your hair. How often should one clarify so it depends on the lifestyle of the person, so people who watch their hair weekly and like they are not using any products that necessarily build up on the hair. So people who are using plant-based products normally don't have to clarify, but like every six to eight weeks, uh people who are let's say doing their active lifestyle. So for me I like to work out so well. I want to like to work out. I want to like to work out, but um, so for me I would be flirting like once a month because I am sweating all the time, and so it just depends on what's on the hair and how how you live your life? Basically, so I I'm a big fan of people using what they want to use as long as they're shampoo matches what you put on the hair. So, even though I'm not pro Eco Styler, if you, if you want to use it, you just need to use a shampoo that can remove those ingredients. Okay on it. So that's the biggest issue with some of the gels that are not plant-based is being able to effectively remove it from your hair. When you wash it exactly so, then you just have to clarify a little bit more often or shampoo with uh. I don't want to say harsh or shampoo, I don't know what the word like an all-purpose shampoo um. So some some ingredients really do. Take us okay to remove it, and so, even though we want to be sulfate free, it's just best to use things. Use styling products that don't require a slow paint or something heavy like that to remove it. So that's why we like to say not to use those kind of products, but really products are stylers. Okay, they're not like there to change your hair, and so we do like. I just want people to know it's mostly because if you're gon na use something, let's say like an Eco Styler or like a shea butter, shea moisture, smoothie or something and that. But you only want to wash your hair once a month. It'S just not gon na work, that's where the issue comes in yeah, and you know what that really leads me perfectly into a question that someone asked on YouTube. She asked what shampoo and leaving conditioner or recommended that or not that not only does their job but are affordable and she also added smells good in there. But let's go with affordable because some stylists, don't recommend, say Aussie, moist or like go over the camera not over. I guess you could call them over the counter, yeah um shampoos and conditioners, so I'm not anti-over-the-counter shampoos and conditioners, especially with my project, Thai Crow Nation. I want people to use what is available to them and so um. I don't really know the anything about the person who's asking this question. So it's hard to know whether, like the shampoo, I'm about to say, is going to be the best one for them, but an affordable shampoo. I love is the TGI and moisture Rich um or the um. That'S another one. The Camino Rose Ginger rinse as good as like a hydrating shampoo. Okay, chemicals can be expensive sometimes, but I like I liked it. I, like some other robotics too the gel. I have one of the gels that I use yeah. I am not I'm pretty. I, like it yeah and even the um meow um, which one is that the pomegranate one it can be a little too strong. Sometimes I feel it'll happen, but I feel like, depending on what you put on your hair, it is probably the appropriate strength to remove whatever you put on it. So, for somebody who is just washing your hair weekly and not using any heavy duty, um stylers, I think that teacher and one is a good and they can get into and then following it up with, maybe like the Cameo Rose. So, usually you want to all-purpose something you want to follow it up with something: that's more gentle. So I had a few of these questions line up. I think I'll, just fire them out um around what is a quality product? What'S a quality shampoo? What'S a quality conditioner because you know that's one of the words that I feel is being thrown around a lot just use a quality, shampoo and conditioner good quality products, but like how would the regular person know and what is a quality product? So quality is just based up of like what the ingredients are and the order in which they're in so the way I assess whether a product is quality or not is by looking at where the active ingredients are so, for example, if I'm looking at a shampoo And I'm reading the ingredient list and the first in the first five ingredients it has like some kind of thick oil in there um or like shea butter and the first five ingredients of this shampoo, something that's supposed to remove things from the hair. To me, that's not a quality product because it looks like it's just filler to fill the bottle. Instead of so. If I'm looking at a shampoo and like the cocoa metopropo betane, which is the cleanser and most is like at the bottom or towards the end or even in the middle, I'm like so is this really going to clean my hair, because why is the thing that Is cleaning the hair at the bottom of the ingredient list and then everything on top of that is like things that are supposed to be moisturizing, so yeah. I try to see to do the order of the ingredients, make sense and what are the The Beneficial things in the products? So, if you ever want to look at what a product does because, of course we're not all cosmetic chemists, how would we do yeah yeah? There'S a website called ew ewt. Oh, I think like me doing research. I think I've stumbled across it, but I don't I don't: go there. Okay, I'll link it in the description box yeah. It sounds fun to say that it's completely in the description box guys but um yeah. I think that is a good way to just look up ingredients and what they do or just Google the ingredient, but usually it'll tell you what that ingredient is supposed to do so for a shampoo, you want the cleansing things to be at the top. You want the moisturizing things to be in the middle or at the end for conditioner you, you need an Emulsion of oils and, as well as like plant extracts, so plant extracts. The reason you want them in your conditioners is because those are what water, loving ingredients. So, for example, if you see a conditioner that has let's say some aloe in there, some chamomile some marshmallow root. Some pectin, like these are plants that are able to survive and like very dry climates in the desert, and so when it rains it's able to hold on to that moisture. So that's where humectants comes into place, so you want your conditions to have humectants as well as emollient squishes where oils come in, so oils are not bad. They we need them, but in their raw form, they're not necessarily doing what we think they're doing so it is great to have oil in your shampoo or your conditioner, Etc, but it shouldn't be with a majority and they're. Usually the cheaper products have it higher up because they need to fill the bottle and so and the only reason I know this is because, like I tried to come up with a product line too and just to see how expensive it was to like come out To get something of quality yeah, and even like that's interesting, if getting real, oh something happens here: oh yeah like getting real okay, so um notice how, after I've, shampooed and scalp I'm starting to go ahead and like elongate, her hair. If you're like in the shower or something think of your hair in four sections, so one in the front, I mean two in the front and then two in the back. This is where we pre-detangle and start to make sure that the curls are present. So for you in the shower you're gon na milk, your section almost like it's a cow you're, going to smooth it out, um just to go ahead and start the elongation process as well as pre-detangling it. So we smooth it first and, as you can see, the curls are are starting to do their thing, so you should be doing a lot of smoothing essay. You'Ve actually washed the scale, so this is still with shampoo. This is for shampoo yeah and that start a tip or a trick that helps with detangling. Even if you have dense yes, 4C hair, because that's one of the questions so usually, if there's 4C here I'd say you've done the smoothing of your section and this works on longer. Hair too. You want to go ahead and start like breaking apart. The hair so it'll get out any big Tangles that are in there so you're just splitting it, and usually you can do this with a shampoo that is like not clarifying shampoo. So actually, the shampoo on her hair right now is a normal Olive, X4 shampoo, and so that's what I'm I used after clarifying, so basically we're just pre-detangling by splitting. Well, I like how easy it seems on my hair is like like right now like what's happening. So, even though all her hair was like shrunken and tight yeah, she came and we're already like getting it elongated through the shampoo first of all, okay length. Okay, as if you didn't just like get kind of like cut it off, I was telling you leave your hair alone. Okay, stop thinking about it! So basically, I'm raking through this to make just to check my work to make sure that okay, I have it. I don't have any big tangles, so her hair is starting to get elongated, basically detangled. It'S crazy, so you're doing like a smoothing milking a couch. I'Ve never milked a cow before, but now I know so. Yeah first you'll smooth it like this. So it's on her head, so you can't see but put the camera on me um for you at home. You would be smoothing it like like this. So that's how you do that a few times just to get the hair like off the scalp now is where you would be like breaking the section okay, so I'm feeling more of resistance here. So you just always be gentle. The more gentle you are, the more the hair is going to come apart, don't be like like ripping ripping your hair out the slower you go, the easier it comes apart. I know it sounds crazy, but slow down it will come apart. That'S crazy! That'S like Magic by then I have a question where someone's like. Can you still use oil and just wash your hair more often say once a week or is the best practice actually to drop the oils and letters and take care of your hair? This way to me as a professional I feel like it would be irresponsible for me to say yes go ahead and use it only because even dermatologists have said Nancy is that yes, even black dermatologists, yes, not to use oils, not to use it in their raw, Because, even though they've been able to find out that Rosemary foil does have some benefits to the hair, even though they've been able to find that scientific fact, even the dermatologists wouldn't have you put it on your scalp raw? They would have you like mix it with something else before putting it on your scalp. So, according to the science, it's not Grace to just be putting raw oil on a scalp but um. Yes, if you feel like you just absolutely have to do it. I think using the appropriate shampoo to get it off is best and just making sure you're washing your hair weekly, instead of letting that oil sit on for like weeks and weeks at a time so um, I definitely totally get it even like. I said I'm from Ghana, and even when I did the Thai pronation trip here, they were honest with me: hey I'm, not gon na lie to you, I'ma still use it and I'm like okay and their hair is fine. It hasn't fallen out, but yeah um and that's the thing I'm taking care of my hair with oils and butter for years. Yeah and nothing happens here, but my scalp was always all kind of wonky. I felt like I always had what I thought was dandruff. So maybe that we can talk about that, what are the best practices for your scalp and, if you're, not using oils, or what should you even well, you already answered not supposed to put oils directly on your scalp. But what can you do if you have an itchy scalp, so I like to always ask people on what day does the scalp start itching like most of them are staying around day? Five to seven, that's the same thing for me to wash the hair. Most of them always end up saying it's around those days. So then I'm like okay, that's usually around the time here. It needs to be washed anyway. So for that I wouldn't say that's a real problem, if that's the case for anyone watching this video, if it's getting itchy around day five, seven, it's just a sign for just out telling you you need to wash your hair and so. But if it's happening sooner than that and you're seeing Flakes and it's dry - and you can like visibly see that something is not right with the scalp, then that would be. I hate always saying this because it's annoyancy here so try these things before you see the dermatologists. Try washing your hair with a shampoo that has like that matters where you've been putting on your hair. A lot of you haven't clarified your hair in a long time, because you're scared of your clarifying shampoo, the clarify your hair first, if you've done that, you're you've switched to um plant-based products and still your stuff is still irritated. Try making sure your scalp is always dry completely when you um, like style your hair. A lot of you are having moisture sit on the scalp for like way too long any wet environment for a long periods of time is going to invite bacteria to thrive there. Thank you so much for watching this video, but up next we're going to explore how to properly condition natural hair and you don't want to miss it. Foreign

Annyetta: I love that she was so willing to share and explain what she was doing and answer questions! I'm pretty sure that I have seen her on IG. Thanks for the video, Jenn!❤️

Essie Michel: I learned about the smoothing the hair during shampooing. This was a great video! Thank you

Just Tanoe: What a great video! Elaine shared so muxh useful tips and worth being on replay. I took her Cohort and recently saw her for a cut. Nothing but compliments for her! She is amazing

KAM M: I ❤️ how genuine & helpful this video is ☺️ It Amazes me how much a person can get out of a 20 something minute video when the Instructor is & the Client knows what questions to ask that many had concerns about. Thank you ladies so much

1GoldenBreeze: It's great to see your visit with Elaine. She not only knows her stuff but is great at explaining the why behind things. I also appreciate that she is patient and understanding with her clients.

NappyFroHappyBro: I so enjoyed this video! From the 3 washes, to all of the knowledge that was shared. Keep this type of content coming!!!

psr076: I've seen her on Instagram . I love this session with her. I appreciate her recommendations on shampoo. I was looking for a moisturizing shampoo.

MarshaMarshaMarsha: TY for doing this Jenn!! Elaine and you together teaming up have great information, awesome styling tips. I learned a lot about the detangling while shampooing and it was so soothing to watch!! lol I’ll give my wash n gos a go in 2023, I’m rocking twist on out of 2022 but this gave me great confidence! Thank you both so much!! ❤

sherwood991: Her comment about the friction from "protective styling" causing people's hair to break is so important. I just watched a video of a famous Tik-Toker, who was complaining that, after four years, her natural hair is still at the same length. However, said person religiously wears braids and ponytails (made with synthetic fibers) religiously. I wish people realized that many of these styles are not "protective."

NappyFu TV: I love educational videos❤. I'm glad she didn't condemn us that use oils and butters but instead gave the important tip of making sure to cleanse thoroughly and often, in order to avoid hydration blockage . Which imo, is pretty much what the whole no butters/oils trend is trying to promote, the importance of cleansing our scalp, including the use of clarifyiers and properly hydratinng & moisturizing our kinks. And I'm shocked she is shorter the you Jenn, like what....no way. Great video sis!!

Didi Uwase: Hi Jenn I know I’m going to enjoy this month thanks to your vlogmas Listen, I don’t have social media so I didn’t know who she was but I’ve learned a lot especially when it comes to the products ingredients! NAIKOchan17: I am so glad you got to see Elaine! I had booked with Zermarla right before she came, otherwise I would've tried to see her too. Thanks for putting us on to all of these great stylists! I love the amount of detail you put into this video. It was cool that she was willing to answer the questions so thoroughly too. Vlogmas is going well, have loved all the videos so far!

S Maxwell: Luv this video Jenn J .. very very informative .. can’t wait to see Part 2

Cham: Love washing videos, so satisfying For me- I think it’s helpful as additional motivation to not give up. Especially the comment of giving it longer then a month. I feel like I do the wash and go for two weeks, get frustrated and then try again for another two weeks 5 months from then

Mari Kyles: Thank you for doing this Jen.

Jessica Smith: This was SO GOOD. Thank you for sharing.

LaTonya Forbes: Thank you for doing these videos, they were extremely helpful. Milking the cow stays rent free in my head!

Ossie R: Affordable is subjective, what one person finds affordable another finds expensive.

Dhelia Ocean: Love the video can’t wait for the next one

Ossie R: I massage my scalp and let my natural oils come through. If my scalp feels itch I wash it.

Just K: THANK YOU "want to like to work out"!!! Tell the truth Sis Exercise sucks...but ion wanna take up 2 seats!!!

Dani Girl: Definitely going learn something. Thanks for sharing

n/a: I use a medicated Shampoo bar on my scalp (2% zinc pyrithione) and it’s very stripping when I rinse it. Can I do a oil prepoo? Also I have seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp so need to use teatree oil on my scalp as well (diluted of course) Oil doesn’t work for all with seborrheic but does well for me I will keep the cleansing info in mind

SweetTeaDarling: How many know we need to keep hearing the same thing repeated in our hearing!! I appreciated that she presented the ‘why’ and was confident based on the condition of her hair AND her clients hair!! This was excellent!! ♥️♥️

Devyn: The smoothing technique is such a gsme changer! ❤ My fro was getting long and I was starting to get annoyed. Definitely applying this. The answers about ingredients and quality of products was so useful. May have to do a purge and donate on my extra products. Great video! Thank you to both of you for sharing this info! ❤

Carol Schneider: Always informative!! Can you please tell me the designer of your eyeglass frames?

MiVidaBellisima: I learned I really need to stop avoiding the dermatologist lol I keep trying different oils but my scalp is very itchy but day 2 or 3

Cheshire Dj: I did learn something, I'm wondering if I'm doing too much?! I use the Melanin shampoo almost every wash day and it gets my hair squeaky clean, followed by a moisturizing shampoo. No issues but maybe you don't need to do that so often?

Ossie R: My grandma used to give us a spoonful of caster oil. I forgot why.

Just K: This was great! I already smooth out the hair and finger detangle while I shampoo...but I just happened on it by trial and error. Nice to know I'm doing it right!!

Michelle's Daughter: Omg! I want that tight curl nation shirt that she has on! Where can I find it??

Kiara McKnight: I absolutely loved this video! I had to google what Cocomidopropyl betaine was but now I know to look for it and it’s position on the ingredients list when buying shampoo. Thank you!

Jenn Jackson: Did you learn something new? If so, leave a comment below! Also, if you plan on getting any of the products, using the links in description box will help support my channel tremendously ❤️

Jaynel 919: TFS!

Charlotte Roberts: I like the detangle and smoothing process while shampooing. I will definitely do this on my hair and grandson hair. His hair starts to get detangled very easy. Thanks for the tutorial

Melanie Oyadina Smith: I liked learning the 'milking' technique, I have very dense hair so all detangling tips are very helpful to me ‍♀️. So soothing to watch

seprichardson: THANKS JENN! Fantastic video - very informative!

A: Oh no oils on scalp?! I may have to see a dermatologist. If I put absolutely nothing on my scalp, it starts to get itchy 1-2 days and getting flakes after about 2-3 days. I've always had dandruff and I thought oiling the scalp would help with that. Agh... I've been washing weekly for about a month and a half so it's a little too early to see a difference with my scalp. Washing my hair tomorrow and I'll try leaving my scalp dry I guess. lol I'm scared. *ALSO, I've recently learned about the difference with clarifying so what's good *clarifying shampoos?

Tina ATruWarrior: I loved this video and I learned how to properly cleanse and detangle my hair, thanks

CurlyCanuck: Is she coming to Canada?❤ PLEEEASE!

miniminott48: Excellent video!!! This stylist is so knowledgeable and professional! I wish I could sit in her chair!

Johna Rhodes: This was so informative. Thank you.

Confessions of a Jaded Optimist : I am a little bit confused so no butters no oils is you can use oils and butter just not in its raw form. So what should be mix it with? I always use a carrier oil with my mix.

154angel154: I wash my hair on Sundays and Wednesdays and I use grease, oils and butters.

Winnie of Wimbledon: Thank you for posting this video just yesterday I was thinking of relaxing my hair again, not because I want to but because my hair is in an awkward stage and I find it difficult to style it. I dislike wearing wigs but I was considering buying one in order not to deal with my hair. My issue is when I style my hair it doesn't look cute,

MrChevrolet94: Gosh you’re both gorgeous!!!!! This is so satisfying and attractive to watch!!!!

phantergamer24: How hard was it to keep your eyes open while she massaged your scalp during that wash? LOL

SHE McG: ✨ Really great vid,, Jenn!!! ✨

Maya: This is very good!

Nikkie Anderson: This is nikki anderson my mother does my hair

JFPRECIOUS: I've been shampooing my hair in twists because we hear all the time the shampooing is for the roots.. I'm so conflicted lol

TheShampooCoachHotLatherKyASMR: SUPER INFORMATIVE! COME TO KY GORL

Christina D: Loved loved loved ❣️❣️❣️

Evelyn Rene: When are you coming to Fort-Lauderdale, or West Palm Beach area?

n/a: So are you saying that you can’t shampoo oil off hair??

Confessions of a Jaded Optimist : shea butter and castor oil is the cure for everything lol

uberhaute_naturalz: I don't like EWG because of their scaremongering tactics.

Bleu Rose: I want to sip the no oils no butter Koolaid so badly. I know ladies cut their hair, but I have yet to see anyone with long 4c hair using no oils and butters. I also haven't seen any research showing oils cannot be cleansed from the hair.

Nikkie Anderson: This is nikki anderson I don't travel
