Hi family welcome back to the channel. Thank you so much for coming back. Today'S video is going to be all about natural hair. I see that i have a lot of new followers supporters or family members, so i just wanted to tell you all a little story about my natural hair journey. Hopefully, you'll learn something, and hopefully this video will be an inspiration to all of you who want to get on a natural hair journey or just take better care of your hair. Alright, with that being said, let's get into the video alright family. So my natural hair journey started back in 2018. if you're an og you've heard some of these stories before, but i basically damaged my hair, because i was learning how to do my own hair. So i would braid my hair very tight or keep my braids in forever or just do the wrong hairstyles. I was also relaxing my hair at the time i started noticing that my edges were basically non-existent and my hair was not healthy. It was thin and it just had no life around this time. There were a lot of people going natural. A lot of people made videos about natural hair, and it was just becoming a thing. I thought about it for a long time, because i wanted to go natural as well, but i just i felt like i wasn't brave enough, so i decided to you know: do my research watch a lot of videos and about a year or a year and a Half later i finally decided to get on my journey, so i did a big job. I chopped all my hair off and started over. I decided to use only natural products and natural home hair remedies for my hair, so i started to use rice, water, the avocado mask and all of the natural hair routines that you have seen on my channel. If you haven't seen some of those videos, i highly highly encourage you to check them out i'll leave some of them in the description box, so you can check them out. They have been very very helpful to a lot of my viewers and subscribers anyway, when i started my natural hair journey, like i said, i decided to do only natural products. So again i started to take care of my hair, so my routine was wash my hair, treat it with either aloe vera rice, water, avocado or any other natural hair remedies that i wanted to try. I would do this every two weeks, so i would treat my hair wash it braid it up and keep it. I did this for about a year and a half, and let me tell you my hair grew like crazy. I had never ever seen my hair this length. I had never seen it this healthy. I had never seen it this shiny. It didn't even look like my hair. My hair grew so long and so healthy that when i started posting natural hair videos on youtube, a lot of people swear. It was in my hair. They made me part my hair up and down show my scalp like they made me. Do a whole lot of stuff just to show that it was in fact my real hair, so once people started to believe me, a lot of people started to follow me and a lot of my hair videos and remedies went viral. I was known as the aloe vera girl. There was a time where, when you searched aloe vera or rice water on youtube, i was the first one who popped up. It was pretty exciting. I saw a lot of people um try to do my routine as well. A lot of people, you know, did similar videos as me. It was an exciting time. It was also the same time my channel started to blow up and it changed my entire life. So when this happened, i got really excited and i really wanted to see what the length of my hair was. So i went and got my first silk press. I went to a natural hair salon, the lady washed and treated my hair. She blow dried it and flat ironed it, and let me tell you once again a lot of people at the salon stopped and looked at my hair. It just didn't. Look like my hair. I didn't believe it was my hair at this time. My hair was about 22 to 24 inches long. It was on my back after she washed blow dried, shampoo and flat ironed it. She said that i had some split ends, so she cut about, i want to say one to two inches off and it was still long after all of that i had at least 22 inches of hair left and i just continued my regimen. I continued to film videos about my hair. I continued to take care of it and then fast forward. In 2020 i came up with my hairline, which was my aloe vera hair growth oil. This was the routine that i have been using for the past. I don't know two and a half years to grow my hair and a lot of my fans wanted to know exactly how i made the oil so many times. I showed the recipe on my channel here again. I have a video of that and i just wanted to make a product line that i knew would work for me and also work for my fans and i went ahead and created the nimbat luxe aloe vera, hair growth, oil and every time y'all every single time. We sold out we sold completely out. I got a lot of reviews of people telling me that the oil was basically magic. Y'All, like it worked miracles, um fast forward. A few months later, i started to have some issues in my personal life and my all business came to a complete halt. Unfortunately, i had to stop my oil business and focus on you know the real life things that were happening within that time. My hair started to suffer as well, because i was under a lot of stress and a lot of pressure, and i noticed that i started to lose my hair. My hair was getting thinner every time. I would take out my hair every two weeks. I would see that i would lose a lot of hair, like my hair was coming out in clumps and clumps, and i just didn't feel comfortable about my hair. I wasn't as happy as i was with my hair anymore, so i kind of slowed down on the video, because even i was trying to figure out what was going on, and i realized that i was under a great amount of stress and it just wasn't healthy. For me or my hair, so anyway, i slowed down all my videos and also my hair growth videos um. I just again wanted to take a step back to figure out what was going on with my hair, and that is what i've done. So i would love to continue this hair journey with you guys to teach you guys and also inspire you guys to you know, grow your hair back, make your hair healthy or whatever your hair goals are. I would love to be a part of that, so i'm slowly but surely working my way back to the natural hair videos so that we can all do it together, so that 2022 and the years after that would be another successful hair journey for all of us. So, thank you all again for listening to my story. Thank you all again for all your support throughout my natural hair journey. Thank you all again for all of the support that you've. Given me throughout the years that i've had my channel, i look forward to you know, sharing all my journeys, my experiences, my wings and all of that good stuff with you all and don't forget to subscribe to the channel. Thank you all again, so so much for your love and support. I love you all and i'll see you all in my next one bye. You

Angie P.: Key words: it’s a JOURNEY. Thank you for the transparency. A lot of people make it seem like one your hair is ‘long’ that’s it, your happy…but life happens, we evolve and change and we go through multiple journeys

Sherry Sunshine: Mercy, about 2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with (CCCA) Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia and I saw your coming clean video that same week. I subbed right away. I knew this channel was going to be what I need to get my hair back healthy. While I have a little scarring because I waited too long to get treatment, just in 2 weeks my hair is starting to look healthier. I'm so excited to travel this journey with you and other back to regrowing healthy locks.LET's DO THIS!

Soso Jackson: For those who read this, I just wanted to say that Jesus loves you!!! And he has a plan for you’ll!! Trust in him❤️❤️

Ess Relaxing Space: Truly inspiring, I'm almost at a stage of giving up on my edges. I'm going to give it one last try and see where it takes me. Thanks for all the tips you give on your channel.

serendipity: I love your story, I grew my hairline out with your hair fertilizer video since I used to get box braids that PULLED my edges out, now im in highschool and I love my hair! also p.s stress and hair loss can be related but once your stress levels are back to normal that should be helpful to your growth, love your vids I'm in Dublin, oh!

Shirley Connor: I absolutely love your beautiful level of transparency! I am 65 years young and I’m wanting to go on this hair growth journey with you because Covid gave me raging diabetes which forced me to cut all of my hair off! Time to start over and I want to do it with you! Let’s do this thing together!! Lol

Simply Shev - Grow Natural Hair: It's great to film your natural hair journey to look back on so glad I started doing it a year ago. I can look back and assess what worked and what didn't. You will get there before you know it

Li: Your hair is gorgeous and thanks for the advice!

niclaudia gordon: I've started my natural hair 2018, I was getting frustrated cause it was soooooo thick then I found your channel it gives me the strength to go on. Thank you for all these videos.

Chelcie Rhodes: Beautiful hair pretty lady I did natural for over a year I went 15months without perming my hair. It was too much for me because it was so hard to even part my hair & the headaches was torture‍♀️‍♀️ I have much respect for everyone who is natural!! It's not for me but I don't knock no one who is!!!

Fine Natural Hair ROCKS: Such a fantastic video! I'm here for your new hair journey and I'm praying for your continued strength and perseverance during these difficult times

Bokuwa Toki: I'm so glad I found your channel because you are truly a natural queen. My hair has been thin and falling for 3yrs due to stress in college, and losing my home from a house fire and after college because of the start of the pandemic (ex. Looking for internships and jobs). Because of my stress, I grew too lazy to take care of my (relaxed) hair. My mom always permed my hair since I was 8 yrs old (now 24) . But last year 2021, she let it stay for too long that I ended getting a light scars on my scalp and I even lost hair because of it! I started give up again because I felt so embarrassed!! Fast forward! Since last October 2021, I started eating more healthier, using castor oil and noticed my hair growing a lot more (my childhood hair stylist keeps telling me haha) . But I felt like I needed to do hair masks again and I instantly thought of the avacado treatment. my mom did one avacado treatment for me when i was 10 or 11 yrs old and it completely grew my hair out but that was years ago lol. Now, I'm going to do it again after watching your hair journey and DIY's. It took a long time for me to realize that I really need to take really good care for my relaxed hair (before and after getting it done)! I dont think my hair is able to go back natural unless I chop it off( which would be a nightmare for me tbh) but I'm going to keep doing that avacado treatment once a month (this month of March 2022) and the intense one every other month (a month before my relaxer which is this May 2022). :) ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️ Wish me luck and everyone else here too! ❤

1: Thanks Mercy! Thanks for being transparent with us about your hair cycles, wether good or bad. You helped me a lot with the aloe vera treatment! ❤❤

THE TAJAS: Mercy, I’m following you and so impressed after listening to your hair growth history. I’ve been browsing through your videos and my prayer is that I succeed in growing my hair and daughters hair too.

Blu Diamond: You are genuinely a sweet and beautiful person. Thank you for the video. I’m a new subscriber; and I admire as well as appreciate (very much) what you are showing all of us to do for longer hair. I’m happy I found your channel because they’re not too many people out there actually stating facts about tips and routines to grow hair. I fully know you are because you proved it in the video. Im happy and thankful to be a part of the journey and family. ❤️

Dana-Marie Thomas: Thank you for your transparency Mercy. I am so glad that you took the time you needed for you and your lil one. You are a real person with real life issues and we your fans understand. I recently stopped wearing wigs. I have head full of hair but it is really dry. Help! Lol My hair goal is to wear a healthy afro that is moisturized; learn how to care for my hair and grow it using natural ingredients; and embrace my hair textures - 4a in my back and 4b/c everywhere else. Help

Lucy in the Sky 1967: Hi Mercy I am looking forward to going on this natural hair journey with you. I had the same problem with my hair, thin edges due to perms, stress and not taking care of my hair. Your video on rice water was the first video I watched. Since then I have used aloe Vera and Jamaican castor oil. My edges are growing back and using aloe Vera to de tangle my hair and a pre poo has really worked! I know you can grow your hair again! Love your honesty ! God bless you and your family !

lneal2800: Hi Mercy! Enjoying the Consistency on your Natural hair journey yes!! Love you!

Wendy Powell: Mercy I am so happy to hear that you will be going back to your hair videos. While I am sorry for what you went through in your personal life and wish you all the best I was really missing those hair videos. So I am looking forward to seeing you back in full force this year. I know you can do this. God Bless

Christine George: Hey Mercy, I am glad you are back and things are going better for you, your family, and your businesses. I pray nothing but the very best for you in all your endeavors, and I am looking forward to your following you on your renewed hair journey. Stay strong, faithful, safe, and healthy out there.

Acts of Wisdom 7: Truly inspiring, I'm so desperate to grow long hair now in my life.

Ruth Huggins: Thank you for being so real about your hair journey. It really helps.

Lorraine Burnett: Thank you for doing this due to stress I think started losing front of hair. I'm a hairdresser too and tried everything I can think of and then came across your channel and it caught my attention. Its different when it is your hair because I'd be advising clients what to do and saying try not to freak out as it doesn't help but yeah I'm feaking out. I will be joining you on my hair journey; will let you know how it goes. THANKS AGAIN xx

Judy Inniss: Yes. You are an inspiration for those of us with similar challenges. Thanks and you’re welcome

Never 2 late - Naturelle: Also your honesty is so refreshing. I do have and still suffer with my hair and your channel is the only one i intend to look at through my natural journey.

Felicia Ngwenya: Thank you for being such an inspiration and for getting back to your natural hair journey..... your hair will bounce back like never before

Stargazer: Mercy, I indeed follow you before you were the reason I went natural all the wonderful diy’s with hair mask and oils my hair flourished and it was beautiful but I cut it pre pandemic and stress did the rest it was growing again but I did a rubber band method for crochet faux locs that tore my hair up… so here I am again rewatching your old and new videos… will be washing my hair with the rice water today with some simple twist and back in the protective style… good look on this journey of life and I pray all is well with you and your family ♥️

LaKenya freeman: Yes i have been following you for some time. I am glad you a talking about the seasons of life and how it effects a person overall but focus on hair. People dont realize stress can make hair shed and fall out. This happened to me after my ex went back to jail when i had my 3rd kid. I am kinda going through the same pattern now cuz i just moved doing travel nursing. It not as bad i a thought but i was def nervous. i turn 40 in a couple of days so i decided to love myself seeing how i have no man to love me... lol however i love my three kids so i will focus of God purpose in my life and my kids. Thank you for always being transparent. I wanted to start a you tube channel about my journey as a travel nurse and your hair care routine. Stay tuned.❤

Joyce Joyo (Kid Minister): Looking forward to this journey. I've followed you since 2021. I'm hopping to see big changes in my hair too.

Amatullah Saafir: You know you've arrived once you have a major hair setback and you've mentally recovered from it. No one has a completely smooth hair process because there's life outside of hair and life is stressful. But once we can recover from the ups and downs of life, pick up and carry on with a smile, then you know you're a real one. Congratulations sis. You're a real one. Yall remember when Naptural85 got highlights and how much her hair suffered? And she has personal issues too. But she recovered. She's thriving. I too quite recently texlaxed my hair after over a decade of a pretty smooth journey and very long hair. Life got stressful and I couldn't put the same love into my hair like before. The tex was a mistake. Ill have to cut it soon. But im excited to join you ladies in giving ourselves and our hair love. Im ready!

Aza: I know when I'm stressed because my hair starts to shed like crazy, then I'll get a stress patch. This has happened to me 2x in 2021. My hair was flourishing I was 4in from bsl, then..collar bone. What I do now is take ashwaghanda it really helps balance stress levels. Happy growing ladies!!!!!

Gummy Bear: I'm glad to see you're back Mercy and doing well. Know that you will always win bcuz your name is what God specializes in giving us...Mercy..along with his Grace. I'm ready to take this journey with you for my daughter's hair as it seems not to be growing. I see new growth after her braids out but I don't see the length. It's weird.

Katy Arnold: Hi, Mercy I am on my natural care journey too!. Thanks! for sharing your natural haircare story.

Iesha Davis: I remember when I did my big chop , I need to start focusing more on moisture, I’ve been using Alevera since watching you , I even use it on my kids hair ☺️

Fine Natural Hair ROCKS: Ohhh Mercy, your hair is sooo gorgeous! I love your natural hair videos so much

Mz Cee: Just noticed you have 1.52 million followers Congratulations I started following you a long time ago because I noticed you were a fellow nurse and I have really enjoyed your channel. You have come a long way with subscribers. May God continue to bless you.

Christine C: I was going to relax my hair today, because of the stress that goes with maintaining natural hair. This vid changed my mind. Thanks

LeeleeTanei: I love this video. i am a new subscriber! I used to do the rice water and avocado mask and my hair loved it. Due to stress my hair started to fall out as well and become thin. I would love to go on this journey with you 2023!! I am doing the big chop in January of 2023.

Purple Farmdog: Stay strong . Thanks for being transparent about your journey. It sure means a lot.

93i: Hey just seriously curious... How long did it really take for you to grow your hair to this stage with the consistent routine I want to start again on my hair growth journey...

Nichole Mack: Great video sis and I hope everything is working out for you and your family ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Mary Mansaray: Very Inspiring I Love It, you are always so open-minded, and I love your energy, Your natural hair videos have helped me out a lot, I have a protective style on my hair, and this video is so helpful when I'm taking It down because sometimes when I take It down, I don't see the result I want. Thank you, Mercy for always being an Inspiration.

Savory_Deceits 💜: My stress factors had to do with dealing with bad men. Once I said enough was enough everything in my life started flourishing and thriving after that My hair, my body, my career and most importantly my peace of mind took off ✈️ and I will never look back Sometimes, it’s the people around you that causes you the most stress which can wreak havoc on your body and your mental state. Take care of you first and get rid of anyone who doesn’t positively grow you or bring joy into your life. Happy growing everyone. Ya’ll got this!

Shanakay Scarlett: Yes! I'm loving consistency it really good to have you back with the natural hair video...

Shanda Ward: Aww, I just love you, Mercy. I am grateful to God for restoring your health. Your hair will be even healthier, stronger, denser, thicker, and longer. God's continued blessings to you and the family.

life with the mchardy's: In May I lost my hair due to hyperthyroidism. It was shoulder length and now it's extremely short and my edges are thin nonexistent. Listen this breaks me down mostly everyday. I just want it to grow back I just started using the rice water on my hair. I use it all the time on my kids hair. I also mix my blue magic grease with olive oil and I'm using that

mica onyx: What a shame you were losing such beautiful hair. A lot of people don't realize when you're under extreme stress you burn up your vitamin B. So start taking a high quality B complex, extra B1, B12, and biotin. A lot of people don't know being low in vitamin D3, iodine, selenium, zinc or even vitamin C can cause hair loss.

Trinity: Your hair looks good straight or curly but natural you just cant beat it! I am a Chinese mix and have thin straight hair but I have always loved curly hair and admire women like yourself confident, beautiful and a business woman. I have alopecia :') I don't use any heat but the hair just comes out and my scalp is visible. I'm not vain by any means but I don't want people to stare at my bald spots.

M Rose: It’s funny that we’re goin thru the same thing!! I’ve been under so much stress that’s my hair is coming out by the handful not to mention I colored it!! I’m thinking about big chopping again and embracing my grays

Cherise Mckenzie: We love you Mercy! I’ll be joining this journey

Claudette Grimes: That was inspiring! Thanks for sharing. I was just thinking about how often to wash natural hair I keep seeing every week. The you hear people who say don't manipulate it to much and don't wash for longer periods of time. Lots of information but every two weeks sounds reasonable! I use all natural products and on a year long hair growth challenge!

Carolyn Davis: I love watching your videos of your hair journeys, they're very motivational.

Estell Johnson: I'm here on the journey with you!

Midori: Mercy please talk about the role of genetics and how it affects hair growth (or the lack thereof). Also what can you instead of aloe vera? I found out that I’m allergic to itTHANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO

Tasha Holder: Okay, im ready to get my nice black thick natural long hair! Lets do this!!

Maylene Lewis: Love what you're saying about natural hair, very much interesting, I'm on my natural hair journey too, glad to know that you're in a better space, new subscriber ,may the peace of God always cover you.

Tonya Moore: I am glad that you is coming back to help us with our hair!

Njeri's Kitchen and Lifestyle: I just cut down my locs of 9yrs. I am enjoying the new journey of natural hair and am looking up to you for more tips. I love your hair its goals

Sophia Yapp-Arrindell: Mercy you have been an inspiration to me and I can’t wait for you to get the feeling you are hoping to find.. I have been incorporating aloe Vera juice because of you..

MiamiLuv: Hello my Queen! I believe you and your hair growth journey. The only thing I’m skeptical on IS.. the two heads in your still photo. Those are two different Queens. Foreheads and eyes are different. But I still love your journey. Much love As you know…. YOU ARE GAWGEOUS‼️ Stress and hormonal issues will and can interfere with hair growth. Continued blessings. Thank You for sharing your knowledge, it gives many here hope! Many of the e so called hair gurus on here make it hard to believe in what they’re promoting. I asked one Queen on here called No Trick. I asked her how does she know which concoction of hers works if she’s putting out a video every week telling us that this one or that one works?! Putting out anything for content to get more views which means more money for them. I love honest Queens like yourself‼️

Evalyne Lomelo: Hi Mercy...yes I enjoyed this consistency of your hair growing journey.. thanks for sharing and you inspire me so much

Sharon Brown: Glad you’re back, good to know that you have been safe from COVID blessings every time

teren g: Thanks for sharing this information I been following you through those ups and downs. I love your content and yes please keep sharing the hair growth I love it

Justiss Bolten: I loved this video. Your hair is beautiful great job!

shyttie: This video is very encouraging and I love that you were vulnerable

Naledi Selane: Really grateful that I found your channel I’m cutting my hair today cause I have eczema and losing a lot of hair so I hope all goes well

Miss lydia: I Love your hair, enjoying the consistency ♥️♥️♥️

Martine Charles: Mercy you are so inspirational, my hair growth have been improving since I started watching your videos since 2020 keep it up

Tameika Moncrieffe: Would like a video detailing how long to use the oils and treatment for to see results as well as how often to use them. I love your videos and your hair is amazing!

Dec Sage: Thank you for sharing, I’m looking forward to all your great tips so I can continue to grow my hair along with you.

asills423: Mercy, I love you and understand. Yes, I have been making your oil at home. I am calmer and minding my business. I am prayerful and not letting too many people get in my head. The Family Stylist: I'm a hairstylist that has seen several of your videos over the years. I have CCCA. A form of alopecia. I have been struggling for 3 or 4 years to get my hair back. Your videos from before were inspiring, but nothing was working for me. Now I am on Rogaine and Viviscal. It's helping a little bit, but my hair still depresses me. I have worn wigs for years. I finally just subscribed to your channel because seeing your current journey helps me feel like I am not alone in my hair growth challenges. Thanks for sharing your truth about your hair loss.
