It this thursday, so today's video we're going to talk a little bit about how to make your press or um your blowout last a little bit longer. So first things. First, if you're new on the channel go ahead, hit that subscribe button and also don't forget to go ahead and thumbs up on your way in so we've already done the shampoo process and the protein process on my clients. So what i'm doing now is just blowing her out so that we can prepare her for her silk press and then we're also doing a trim and in this that's when we'll get to talk about how to um get your press to last longer number one. But number two without the heat damage, because that's probably one of the bigger parts to this whole puzzle and then we'll also talk a little bit about texture and texturizing. My client here she asked some really good questions this morning and that's what made me say: perfect. Video, so what i'm doing right now is i'm just blowing her out. She was under the dryer um drying slightly or air drying slightly and then from there i might be taking glasses, um we're gon na just finish the blowout in regards to the blow dryer and then we'll start the pressing process. So if you guys know crystal's way, i don't like to blow dry stopping wet hair. I'Ve always been that way. I also feel like this process helps um to alleviate us having any form of heat damage or the client not being able to revert. I have not had in my history of my career, which i am glad to say one client come to me and say: oh, i got heat damage from the silk press that you did so i have this whole process to a science and it works. For me. Some people agree some people, don't i have some times where they want it to last five years. It'S a temporary process, so there's no way, and then i also tell people you know it's also dependent on the environment. It depends on your body, your hair, the weather outside there's, so many different factors that contribute to how long a press can last and how fast it can reverse hey dad. So i'm almost done with her blowout in regards to the blow dry. Let me not call it a blowout, because some of you associate some pressing with a blowout well. For me, a blowout is just that. I'M blowing your hair out, so i'm going to give you guys some pro tips on how to get your press to last longer, and this is even when you're doing your press at home. So i'm going to be using um the tools that you would use at home so that you guys don't feel like we're in different places and i'm teaching foreign language. So this is definitely attainable or able to be done at home in the same process. And you guys kind of already know my process, which i'm fine with most guys want to hide it because they need to profit off of. I don't really care about that part. I'D rather show you guys, because i'm not gon na be a stylist forever. I'Ve been doing it over two decades. Now i'm not going to be the 40 year old here, i'm going to be out of it by then. I do it now, because i love it. I love what i do. Um, okay, you guys so the blowout part of this process is all done. First, let's just take note that how pretty her silver streets are, please very, very pretty here um. She actually is being pro proactive ahead of time, which that's really good, where she wears a lot of protective, but not so protective styles and she's like listen. I think i just want to start embracing my hair and now it's kind of like the process of the process of us figuring out what works for her and what doesn't work for her all right. I'M gon na have you tilt your head down for me. So pro tip one whenever i'm doing um a press on hair of her texture, so she has fine texture with a little bit of medium in there um, because i'm gon na be hot combing. Her roots, i'm gon na apply a little bit chris tamer and shine serum very small amount. A little goes a long way if you guys already know that we talked about that every video, so i'm just applying that to her hair root to end. This is definitely going to help number one protect the hair but number two. It'S gon na help with the pressing process, and this is also how you get the hair, the silk press to last a little bit longer. Okay and then i'm going to be also using the one inch anniversary, titanium iron and the micro one inch iron all right. First things: first, her hair is all blown out. You guys did not see me blow dry her with the frizz tamer on her hair. I applied that after the fact. Okay, so that's very important, that's another pro tip heat protectant. While i know you want to protect your hair while you're doing the blowout it's best to be used when the hair is dry or when the hair is partially dry. So what i'm doing is, i am starting with the hot comb and i'm going against the grain on the back of her head. This also kind of helps to not burn yourself or your client. Now hot combing can also be another way for your press to last. A lot longer, because, typically when you revert you're, reverting at the root first, not at the end, it's the root. It'S the part, that's closest to the scalp that start to revert, not your ends. Your ends can be straightened really quickly. The roots cannot so what i do is i like to take my hot comb and i go in somewhat large sections and that's another reason why i start on the underside and go up, because what that's going to do is cover a lot more ground and i'm Not necessarily going all the way through her hair. I still have the texture here because i know that i'm going to be soaking her with a ceramic or a titanium iron, but this is going to help those roots to stay straighter longer and that's also going to help your press to last a lot longer. So let's talk about her shampoo process in the meantime of me, pressing her out so today we did because she had a lot of um oil in her hair or could possibly be product build up from previous product um. So we did a deep cleanse using the soothing balance pre-treatment. I put that on her hair when it was dry very important. That is the easiest way to remove excessive oil. Buildup in the hair is to use pre-treatment on the hair when it is dry. Once i did the pre-treatment on her hair dry and i rubbed it in then i went ahead and wet her hair down with water, and i turned the pre-treatment into a shampoo simply by just lathering her up. That'S all because it is a shampoo treatment, but it should be done on your hair when it's drying. Now, let me ask my client here: did it feel really cold on your head or really minty? Yes, it was minty. Was it uncomfortable minty? No, no! There you go so that number one is going to help soothe her scalp remove any buildup from her scalp. It'S also going to help cleanse the follicles or the strands of hair as well, and that's going to make her life even easier, especially because we're doing a press. If you have product on the hair, when you're doing a press, it's going to make the hair even heavy - even heavier. Excuse me, so that's another reason why the shampoo process is very important. We also did a repair rx protein treatment on her because she had some shedding going on and it definitely was needed. So we did a repair rx protein treatment that helps us stop the shedding within about 20 minutes. That can be done every couple of weeks and then we went through and rope twisted her and sat under the dryer for a couple minutes and then we blew her out, and that is how we got to the point of where we are right now. So what i'm doing is, as i said, i'm only soaking out the root of her hair so might be took back a little bit. If you look right here is nice and silky and then down here is textured. It is going to change in just a moment, but it's very important that you guys understand you can go all the way through the ends. If you want with your hot comb, you can do that, but i don't do that because i know that i'm going to silk her out anyway, so i don't need to go all the way through now. If you don't want to use your iron - and you just want to kind of silk that hair out to make it more manageable, really quick, then you can just use the hot comb and do that process as well and with hot combing, the slower you go, the Better, so if you just rush straight through it, it's not going to press you out. So if you guys notice when i'm pressing, my comb is on the hair laying flat as i'm pulling through her hair, her hair is detangled as well, so i'm not using the hot comb to detangle her hair. Okay. So that's very important, so you have a choice. You can do it either way, i'm still going to use the titanium iron. I like that method a little bit better, but everybody has a difference in how they do it and then also going up or against the grain. It helps you to not burn yourself, so it kind of keeps me away from her ears. She don't have to hold her ears and then, when i'm doing the hairline, which i'm going to bring you guys a little closer, i'm sorry i'm bringing them all in your business, okay, baby! So when i'm doing the hairline, the easiest way to do the hairline. Is you grab the hairline and stretch it slightly, and then you put that hot comb through it instead of you trying to go against the face, like you have on a lace front? No, no, no! You take it nice and taut, and then you push your hot comb through it and all her hairline is nice and silk and i have not actually touched her skin. I used my fingers and lifted that hair up so that i could get through it with a hot comb. That'S very important! I also do that if i'm using the 3 10 of an inch micro same thing, i lift the hair up, make it nice and tight. So that i can pull through it without having to touch her actual skin or her face, nobody wants a burn in front of their face. When will you trim the hair after her hair is nice and silky? That is when we trim, i don't trim when hair is textured like this, unless my client is doing something different, but it's very rare that you'll see me trim my client's hair when it's textured like this. Now, if i hot comb her all the way through, then i can somewhat do a trim, i'm okay with that. But if she still has a lot of texture going on, i'm not going to do my trim, then i like to make the hair bone straight so that i can see everything so that when she reverts she's reverting evenly and then the good thing is, this is Plugged in so i don't have to have a marcel stove like i didn't, have to go all the way, all the way back y'all. I have to go all the way back all right. So this way for me amen no burn on ears yeah. When you do it in this fashion, you have more control. Had our parents done this, when we were children, we wouldn't be so traumatized now have you been burnt yet no, she said. No sorry, mom and another way to kind of get the anxiety down is to just do the whole hairline. If you need to just do it all at one time, so that you don't even have to go back near the hairline and we're all done, which one do a better job? In your opinion, it depends like if i have a client who has super coarse hair. I'M definitely going to hot coat them first. If i have a client that has somewhat coarse hair, i can use the titanium iron and silk her out beyond measuring and i'm good. But now i'm just i'm trying to make my job a lot easier where my clients, silk press, is lasting longer, they still don't have heat damage hold on you guys that is, they don't have heat damage, but at the same time their press is lasting. A little bit longer, especially at the root level and her hair, is still nice and soft. Nobody wants hard helmet, hair, crispy, hair, crunchy hair. You don't see the hair sizzling none of that good morning. This is also good for the kids, especially for children, who you got ta braid their hair, like christian, oh he's getting hot comb from here on life is gon na, be so simple. Now, no more oh you're pulling it from my scalp. That was always arguing with me like welcome all right, so we're going to go ahead and turn off the hot comb. We'Re all done with that part. So if you guys noticed i hot combed her in the direction that i'm going to style her because she's getting a side part right, is it so good? Are you on the other side? This side is good, okay, so she's also getting a side part. So i'm once again making my job a lot easier, all right, so we're going to go ahead and silk her. This part is going to be real easy because well now that i'm already done with the root, i'm just literally going in large sections and soaking her out, because i'm also doing a bob cut on her. So i don't want to curl her arm just yet. I'M just going to silk her out, and this is using the anniversary iron. If you have the 1 inch titanium micro, then you can use that one as well. I'M just trying to do it with the irons that i know you guys have at home, rather than the professional ones that i have in salon, which is the micro line. The micro line is like the mercedes-benz of the flat iron, so i'm doing large sections. My section is about one one and a quarter inch wide. I don't even think you need to go as short as above, so i don't even think you have to go as short as above you know, my splits are down there, but they're not that far. Oh okay, you want a preserved length or you want a bomb style. Okay, see what happens because when i took the blue twist came out, and i was going through that change of trying to not feel like burlap, i uh, i heard all the crinkling and the crackling sounds so that was all you know, trying to tell me that A lot of ends need to be cut off. Okay, so that's why i said that. Well, i definitely cut the ends off. I don't i don't think you'll still be at a bob, though it's about maybe two inches of hair. Okay, in some places it might be less okay, so i'm just silking her. As i said, my section is about an inch and a quarter, and then i am also going over that hairline or the root. That'S a hairline over the root again with my titanium iron. This is just adding that second barrier or that second level of heat, but i'm not staying in that area, i'm just kind of going through it really quickly and just making sure that i silk her out really well. So when it's time for styling, i can do two in sections. That is how you keep the wrist down of having heat damage your section, how long is the silk press supposed to last? There is no supposed to time, there's no supposed to time so presses last as long as the client allows it to last, and also as long as the environment allows it to last. So there's no time frame on it because it's just thermal styling, it's not like a relaxer where it has a time span on it. I have some clients they can walk out of here and their hair just go, and that has nothing to do with the press. It'S just their hair they're not used to getting a press or they've, never had one. So the hair is not trained to understand what you're doing, there's so many different things that can happen. You guys see how big that section is i'm in florida. I have your conditioner okay, so you got a kit yeah. So what else would i need, and i know i need to get that verbana, probably for the gray yeah. I use that today. Okay, and what else do i need? That'S it? That'S it. We have a mask coming out soon, that's for like deep conditioning, so you can do that one, but you have what you need for now. Do you do relaxes? If so, what brand do you use the brand that i use the brand that i use y'all know? I don't talk relaxer, of course i do relax as well. You guys know i leave a talk. Relaxing sorry! No! I never do chemical talk. That'S for stylist, which irons do you recommend for relaxed hair ceramic, so you can either use the one inch anniversary, titanium iron, that iron can be used on relaxed hair, but you definitely want to do larger sections, but for relaxed hair, because it's already straight i'd say The ceramic anniversary iron, the ceramic, is going to be a little bit better for you, so it's the same iron, just ceramic and all of the irons and all the products that you guys heard me mention are available at haircareusa.com alright, so we are almost done silking. Her and then we'll go ahead and do her cut uh you're welcome all right so haircut time. Let'S go on your feet straight on the thing chin down, just like that for me, so she has split ends that come to about right here, which is exactly what we talked about about two inches some areas. It might be less than that. Her front is a lot shorter, so i think that that length is definitely going to be best. I like to start my cuts with my my clippers. I feel like i just get a straighter line, a lot faster um. Oh, you got silk skills. Thank you. Why is it hard for me to hot comb, my own hair? It'S not hard! You just got ta, get the technique down pack all right so because she is fine textured, i'm going to add a little bit of layering to kind of take some of that density out of the or heaviness from down here, but i'm still following my guide. Okay, so very important, and what shape do i mimic when i'm doing a haircut both of y'all should know this answer too, so just go ahead and yell it out what shape do i always say to follow when i'm doing a haircut, anybody are y'all serious. Neither one of you can come back and sit about here. Let'S see who gets it. Thank you mark. Thank you. Margaret see there we go an orange. Our head is not the shape of a paper, it's not the shape of a i mean some of us got watermelon hood, but it's not the shape of a watermelon. It is the shape of an orange okay, the shape of an orange. You cut your hair, like you are slicing an orange. I really should have known that so now, when i ask this question again, you should already know yeah, okay and honestly, if you follow that shape as you're cutting you'll start noticing that everything just falls in place in the shape of an orange anyway. So now you see i'm still following my guide. Okay, very important. They said your hair is so beautiful. Thank you all right. So we're gon na go ahead and curl her up, which this part of the process is super easy. So i'm spraying a little bit of hairspray. This hairspray does not make the hair hard. It just gives it a better um, a lot more smoothness and then i'm using the one inch ceramic iron. So we're going to do a nice large section he's already silked out. You guys so i've already soaked our hot cones here, so we're not going to do small sections at this point, see ceramic and you guys see that shine. That'S how it's supposed to be nice shine all right, so i'm going to switch to diagonal partings now! Well, you know what let me do this front part yep. I need everybody to close your chat and go and thumbs up this live. Please hello, hey, okay, look, look! Look! I knew it. Okay! Send it to me just give me like 10 minutes. Okay. Okay, all right, let's see, what's the difference between a silk press and flat ironing hair, it's the same. Damn thing: what is the temperature of the fight on right now? 450, it's at 450., if i had it at like 350 i'd be having i'd have to do. Multiple passes so at 450. I can give her two inch partings and do one pass. That'S the easiest way you got ta just know when to do it like don't be afraid of the degree setting on a flat iron. I'M gon na be honest, don't be afraid of that 450. It just depends on the size of your partings number one and the amount of passes that you're doing on the hair number two. So i'll do one to two passes at 450 with a two inch section: okay and i'm done some other people. Let me use this hair right here, because i was gon na use your hair. This is them on these videos that i'll be seeing and then, by the time, they're done, you got like one split in left: no, no! No! No! This is why my clients are not in here for eight hours. How long you been here be honest. I think you've been here two hours: oh no, gosh! No! What'S time you down here um what time was it like? 10. 30. 10. 30. Yeah. 10. 30. Okay, it's 11 39. She got here at 10 30. She got a protein, a deep cleanse. She went under the dryer blow dry now, she's getting styled and she's been here, not even an hour and 30 minutes and she used the restaurant and i had time to eat and sit and watch tv. That'S true. My other client miss inez. She got here at 9, 30, it's 11 30.. She got a full color under the dryer everything and now she's about to get dry, not dry, she's going to get curled. That'S it i'm fine to not hear. I don't need you to be here. Work with me all day, i'm okay, i don't need any company. I promise. Hmm, that's! What'S up a little time at the hairdresser, absolutely you want to. Actually, you might have taken off work today to get your hair done, but that'll mean you want to use the whole day. Maybe you want to go eat lunch. Maybe you want to actually do something with your life other than being in the salon. Looking at the wall or eyeballing your stylist, because she just going extra slow, you can feel the eyeballs under the dryer like it's like watching paint, dry and they're, just they're, watching every set like why she's just sitting there. She knows she can take me out. She know i'm dry, so i'm that kind of stylist. I don't want you in here all day, even though it tells you to expect to be here anywhere from two to four hours. Four hours is very long to be in a salon for me. Unless i'm doing a service that takes a lot of time, like maybe micro links or something of that nature, but that's another reason why for services like that, i don't even allow multiple services that day. That'S why i only do weaves on like a off day or something of that nature. I don't like doing my work like that. I like to feel like i have free time and i can go like today. I got chemist work to go. Do so i'm going to the warehouse as soon as i'm done with my clients and i'm going to be chemists today? How did you get her gray, so white? We used the toning shampoo from pravana, it's called on perfect blonde. There we go all right, so we're going to let that cool for a second. That'S another thing: if you want your volume to last, allow your hair to cool down before you comb through it. If you comb through it, while it's hot, it's like you flat ironed it while it was hot, i mean um you're flat, ironing it with the comb. If you're doing that, so just wait for it to dry. It'S got some time. How did you get okay? I'Ve been in that position where i was at one all day, he's a lot of people be at one all day, pay the lady don't play with her. You have somebody. What hold is the sebastian shaper plus? Do you recommend for natural hair silk? I love the reverse right sebastian. Shaper, plus i've been using that since i got out of cosmetology school, it has no whole look. Her hair is still very shaky head for me. Her hair is still nice and movable. All it's doing is helping to seal the cuticle. That'S why i only use shaper plus nothing more. Nothing like y'all won't see me in here playing around with other hairsprays, i'm just very particular with that. Thank you, daddy. My dad said elite family. Don'T forget! The only cost for admission is that thumbs up button see look at my dad being all technologically savvy and stuff. You see if my father can say that then y'all just better hurry up. What'S the name of the shampoo silver hair i'll take it here, you guys can screenshot your screen. You can actually get this on amazon screenshot your screen. You can get this on amazon. I don't make this product just yet. So i'm okay with sharing it five. Four. Three two one, all right: oh okay, it's from pravana! Just remember: pravana purple! That'S it! They only got one all right, so we're gon na go ahead and comb her out chin down for me, okay, i, like my box to be nice and messy, and i don't wan na. I call it the bob. You don't wan na hurt bob hmm, oh wow, nice. Oh my god, chris thank you. I didn't know. I had that much hair on my head. I told you preserve the length. Why not you have so much? No idea! Don'T put your glasses on that long. So i put a little bit of sebastian shaper on her hairline, i'm going to use our edge brush just to kind of lay her hair, her hairline down. I did not put edge control because when you're natural and you put edge control, it will revert very quickly. So i allowed it to kind of air dry just a little bit, so it gets nice and tacky and then brush through it with the edge brush same thing here. That'S nice, really, nice, okay and then lastly i'll spray her from afar. So i have the goddess polish: i'm gon na hold it back here and i'm going to literally mist it and that's it and let it just kind of just drop on her hair and then i'll take a little bit of sebastian shaper. This is just going to kind of hold it in place, while she's outside it's not going to make the hair hard and then she'll be able to wrap her hair tonight. Like nothing happened, can't you use the shaper plus instead, yes, i did all right you guys, so she is all done. Thank you so much so much so now when she wraps her hair. She won't just go bone straight very quickly because she has texture in her hair. She has density still in her hair. She has that volume and then she also has layering so we're not going to have a flat head. That was me in the chair. We wish that was you all right, you guys, so i'm actually going to bring my next client in the chair. So if you guys want to just hang out for a second that'll, be miss eyeless and then it's like this is the start. She'D be on my channel all day. Let me fix your appointment for the 900 things. You got it on you. That thing is so long, because i i haven't worn my house straight in so long. I just didn't know what to do with it and then, when i had the strain i had a short been. I worked sharp cuts for years and years and years and then i got that twisted this one happened. I got you so it's 165.. I thought it needed everything up under the sun. Your hair is just good tlc, that's all, but i didn't wash and condition it. You know with the twist in there a lot. That'S good! Don'T leave conditioner right now, make sure you rinse it out. Okay, yeah! That'S yours and then you'll fill that out for me and then as soon as you're done just set it right here for me: okay, okay and that's the 15th of the month, yes ma'am so may is open. Now you can check out may when you get a chance there we go so miss inez got a color, and then she also got a wash. She is natural by the way we don't even do relaxes on her anymore. Her hair just lays nice and nice and straight all right, so we're actually going to use an iron that you guys have never seen before. It'S like a half inch kind of like a half an inch i'll see you in on me. Okay, all right! Thank you! So much thank you all right, so we're gon na use the seven tenths of an inch. You guys have never seen this iron. This is kind of like the sister to the three tenths of an inch. So if you see them, this is the sister and then from there comes the one inch. So that's how they look. That'S the three sizes as they go up three tenths, seven tenths one inch. The seven tenths is not available on the website. Yet so don't even go search for it to be very disappointed. My hair is exactly like, like hers like who who's your hair, like um sandra, miss inez. Is that what you're saying your hair is like hers, or i'm gon na, take some of the weight? Now? Let me do this real, quick, i'm coming you guys, one! Second! If i don't do this now, i'm gon na forget hmm all right, so we're going to take some of the density out of her hair in the back here too, because that was like a tape. So we're going to take some density out of the back, so oh huh come on sanitize and clean when i'm done, i'm not even picking them up. I can't bother so hmm, so i'm taking some of the weight out when you taper the back. You have to take the weight off the top hmm and it grew from the last time wow okie doke all right. So i'm going to put a little bit of frizz tamer and shine serum on my hand, rub it on her hair. Remember she did get a fresh color today, so we definitely want to make sure that we do our due diligence to protect um, her color number one and also her hair. Thank you. They said they love your color. Oh! Thank you all right. So i'm gon na spray a little bit of hairspray, it's my girl. So all right! So let's go! Let'S go! I'M gon na start with this one. A part of me says that i'm still gon na have to go into the three tenths, but let's see yeah. So, whenever you're curling, if you can't do a full barrel curl with the iron, that means that you need to go down one size, i feel like. I need a little more spray, some goddess polish. I love it. It smells good. Okay, that's how you know this is the right size, because i'm actually able to curl her and i'm not struggling to curl her. Is it possible for the texture of hair for texture, hair to be colored? Any hair can be colored. Any hair can be colored. It'S not necessarily the texture that has anything to do with it. It'S the health of the hair that you want to look at. Is your hair healthy enough to sustain whatever level of color you want? Color goes in levels. It goes from level 1. All the way to a level 10., how do you take yellow out of gray, violet, color, shampoo or violet-based shampoo or violet toner? Where can i purchase the three different irons, gina or jania elitehaircareusa.com and on the menu you'll see it says flat, irons and tools? All of the irons that you guys see me using are available at elitehaircareusa.com. Can you tell, i can tell you, love hair. I'Ve been to some hairdressers and they do not love hair. Like you thanks so, okay, 450.. Can you order hot tools as a bundle deal? No there's no bundles with the hot tools um margaret for barbados, for our products you'll be able to get them in barbados for tools they're not available in barbados. Yet actually i'm very focused when i do here. Yes, whoa sit still all right, so i'm fraying her with a good amount of goddess polish. The reason why i'm spraying her so much with the goddess polish is number one. It'S gon na help protect that color when she's outside number two, because she's natural and colored her hair can sometimes be very dry. So i want to add that added and that added penetration of silicones and oils and with her because she is natural. It is not going to do anything to her. I promise i give her a day and she's back to like she had nothing in her hair. Am i telling the truth, or am i correct all right, so we're gon na take a little bit of edge tamer. Just a very small amount, all i'm gon na do is put it right here on her hairline you'll see why in just a moment, i'm going to take my comb, see how it just made that hairline, nice and smooth and look all bedazzly, that's what you want, But that's: okay, hmm gorgeous and she's back. He says your hair looks beautiful, oh so she's, nice and faded in the back to forward for me just like that, so you take your brush. It'S a beautiful beautiful! Thank you. Thank you. So i said they're loving it. Thank you. Thank you guys, all right guys, so everything that we use today is available. As i said at elitehaircareusa.com, if you're new to my channel, you get 20 off your product purchase if you use code youtube20 other than that, you guys, i'm headed to the warehouse to go play chemist got some new stuff coming and i'll probably come on live. Kathy Tomesh: It's hard to give up doing hair. I've been a stylist for 40 years. I love your videos. I hope everyone watching learns to use your techniques and approach to protect the integrity of hair. Shaper spray is the best. I have it on my station at all times.

Sharon Murry: Her hair looks nice and healthy, that’s all we got as children, My mom knew her work, she washed our hair, and their was no such thing as heat damage, our hair reverted all the time. You explain yourself so well. I’m still watching.

Bernice C. Thomas: I'm not a hair dress but all this teaching is great for doing my hair and even more so when I do my grandbabies hair. Thank you so much. Yeah, to YouTube University.... Another great professor.

Christie BUSSEY: Yesss, the days of staying at the salon all-day are over when you're a selective client. You've got better things to do with the rest of your day! ☺️ Absolutely beautiful short cut too!!

Dee Dee: As a former licensed cosmetologist. I love her . So professional and I like the part where she don't have her clients in for a long time . In and out and if you are late and then another late it puts everything behind then you holding me hostage that's one of the reasons I gave up after 10 years but ,I keep my license current because you never know if you have to fall back on a sure thing and now with the prices going up not a bad idea if you have to go back . Good job young lady ..

Luz Estrella: Now that's how you do hair! Get 'em in and out. I was in a salon once all day. I came in with the stylist and left, at closing, with her. My whole day was shot; and my dumb-a$$ stayed and paid to suffer that type of abuse. Needless to say, that was the first and last time I did something so foolish. If she was doing my hair for free then I'd expect to be treated in such a thoughtless way but, I was a very good client.

Yvonne Adams: Your client should be proud of her gray hair, it is beautiful. Great job Crystal.

Whiskybrush: I love watching people who are skilled at what they do and I love this lady's hair! It's soothing just watching your videos!

Dalena Parks: I accidentally ran across your page but I am very happy that I did. You can tell that you did pay attention in class and that you love what you do very happy to be able to see this. Micky Payne: I really appreciate how you explain technique in doing a blow out, hot comb and overall preparation for a silk press. In my day it was called a hard press.

Ms. Bridges: The color, style and cut looks really good on her. You always do a fantastic job .

Theresa Vinson: I’m gray too but I’ve stopped going to the salon getting silk presses only to end with smoke coming from the iron no matter how many times I say it’s too hot. I do my own at home now and my hair is healthier. Too bad you’re not in California! Thanks for the video!

Kristie Lemay: I could just watch this all day Long. I love watching women of color getting their hair done. It intrigues me and it always comes out so pretty. Y'all are beautiful. I'm freaking Casper. I could glow. Wish I could get a tan of some kind. Y'all are just naturally beautiful. I have to pay to be colored and y'all have them natural curves everyone dies for. The hair is just the icing on the cake. I just think y'all are so beautiful!!!God made beauty when he made women of color.

Velma Small: Great job!!! I love your process. If I was close to your shop, I'd definitely request an appointment.

thefanone: Omg!!! I've been wanting a silk press 4 about 4 years. I will do it now that I watched u do it. U r a great inspiration

Seventh child: Crystal...I don't do hair salons, BUT I would pay and utilize your services if you were located here in my state!...YOU really care about your clients, their hair, you're patient, and of course, you have to make your money for your bills, etc....I Wash, condition, hot comb/press (hot comb/stove), clip MY ends, etc...I wrap with satin scarf at night...my hair is soft, I keep it ear length, healthy, (I also eat a flexible vegetaranian way of eating)...I DONT do perms, WIGS, WEAVES, EXTENTIONS, etc....Thanks Crystal!...MANY more BLESSINGS to YOU and FAMILY...YOU ARE REALLY GOOD AND TALENTED!

Tee Ramirez: I’m happy you’re doing a real client not just someone random that has pretty hair anyway.

Lori Bollinger: The burgundy color and cut looks so cute! What a pretty lady! The silver hair is beautiful love her smooth and shiny texture!

LovingAtlanta: How long the press lasts basically depends on how much the client sweats. If they’re working out & sweating a lot every single day…the hair is going to revert.

Barbara Baker: Elite I love what you did cutting and curling her hair it is just beautiful I have never been to a salon never ever .You have done a wonderful job have a wonderful day and weekend

Lady J: The second lady had to have some pretty naturally straight texture to her hair. That wouldn’t last with me walking to my car in the sun without a relaxer in my 4c kinky beautiful hair

Yolanda L Cheek: I knew you could rock a short cut without a relaxer and it still looks great

loveHS8809: Crystal I notice that you’re using the Dyson dryer! I was wondering what are your thoughts on it? Is it worth the price, is it a healthier blow dry option compared to other dryers? I’m debating if I should purchase it or not and I really value your opinion.

ANECIA WATSON: My Granny used to press my hair with the hot comb on the stove and it would look like I had a relaxer when I was a young girl. It lasted forever

Lois Jackson: That's the color of my hair but my hair is black in the back and I wear mine short hopefully one day I'll wear it long again but not now. I just love the fact that we young older women are going natural color it's so beautiful

ANNELINE MOSTERT: You're amazing. Yip, we sit for hours on end even when you had an appointment Furthermore stylist are complaining about there personal life and there managers. I'm done, washing my hair at home and put hair curler in, dry naturally and Flatiron afterwards..... Thanks for all the tips..

Amanda Majuba: Chemical relaxers and perms killed our afro hair, I used to have very long hair now I'm 59 years and it no longer grow, I've tried shampoos, pills etc but still doesn't grow back. It is also thin now. This lady has beautiful thick hair and looks natural. ❤️

Jacqueline Jenkins: Another AWESOME hair style I love BOTH of the styles today.

Angelique Tingler: I love watching your videos. My son is mixed. He limes to wear his hair natural but I have no clue how to help him with that so it doesn't look like a frizz ball on the top of his head. Does anyone have any suggestions??? He likes it shaved on the side and back and he likes the top long but his hair just gets very frizzy. Thank you in advance!

Ledisi Monét: Lol you hit it on the head about stylist taking all day. That’s why I went natural to avoid being put under the dryer for 50hrs because the stylist is behind and I’m “still not dry” ‍

swtv1754: Am I the only one who gets such a sense of satisfaction when splitends are cut off? Thank God I don't do hair for a living, because everyone would leave my shop bald after I start cutting away!
