Hair Glue For Flyaways?! What?!

Hair GLUE For FLYAWAYS?! WHAT?!

Today, I'm testing another cool product for hair. This right here is basically glue for your flyaways, frizz and/or baby hairs that aren't managable. I found this finishing cream that is essentially a hair glue in a mascara wand on Amazon for under $10. Have you tried this product and how did it work for your hair?

Today, I'm trying out a newer product for me. I've, seen it all over social media.. It'S this mascara wand that has hair cream product inside to basically sleek down your baby hairs, those unwanted frizzy hairs., Let's say, for example, if you have a lotta craziness happening right, now. Kind of like what I have.. It'S not too bad. But let's say: if you wan na super sleek and you have very sleek straight hair, they basically take this and they comb it down and it just looks flawless. Or if you're picking your hair up and you have a bunch of those little baby hairs that are Just kinda falling down or they're shorter pieces, and you can't pick'em up. They basically take this the wand and they brush it up and it just stays up miraculously.. So with this I wan na see, is it gon na make my hair look crunchy? Is it gon na make my hair look greasy And is it gon na make my hair look really dirty and gross Their hair? Didn'T look disgusting, it looked actually very nice. And I did buy this on Amazon.. I think it was roughly around $ 8.. So this is what it looks like: let's take it out of the box. And it looked like a mascara wand. Like a straight up mascara.. This looks like the Covergirl mascaras.. I just wan na put this on the back of my hand and see how sticky it is.. So it's a clear product. So I like that idea of that, because you can really get into those little pieces of hair that you can't really get either with your finger or with a brush or a comb., All right wow. It'S actually not sticky.. It'S a tiny bit tacky, but you can't even see it on my hand.. You guys see that I thought that was me. Super shining., My hair is shorter, so I really wan na see if it's gon na hold those shorter pieces without having to put bobby pins or anything else.. So, let's pick up my hair., I'm just gon na brush it all the way back.'Cause. I also wan na. Do the front. Okay. So, let's see the before without. Let me actually take some of these hairs. Out'Cause it's a little tight., So we have some cleaning up to do.. Let'S see how we can clean up the front right here. All of these little fly aways. And then the back.. Are you guys, ready, ?'Cause? I am. I really wan na see if it's gon na pick up these hairs and make it really nice. All right. So, let's do this. Gon na brush it. Looks very wet, so far. All right.. Looking from the sides, I look very crispy, but hopefully that will dry down and it will be pretty good.. So now I just wan na kind of make sure I ugh. That's the worst part. It gets stuck towards the top and I can't really see what I'm doing up there.. So I'm just kinda using my hands Long side of the comb to kinda brush the hair. In. I do like that. It'S not super sticky, like I'm touching it with my hands., It's a little bit tacky at first, but then once you kinda work it in it kinda disappears.. So I'm kinda wondering how is that going to react when it dries? Do you know what I mean? Is it just gon na lose it's hold and just fall down Because it's holding pretty well. Like that actually looks pretty good.. I had to lower my sweater, but that actually looks pretty good.. I would have never thought I had shorter pieces back there. So right now, I'm just gon na go in and we're gon na clean these sides.. This really shows off my hair, line., ( laughs, ), Whoa, (, laughs, ), I'm not used to it being so sleek down to my head.. It does take out some of the hairs which is totally fine., But now I really wan na see if I can take these hairs down.'Cause that always the issue for me with shorter hair and layered hair., Just taking my finger and I'm kind of combing over that To smooth it down and make sure there's no weird transitions., So I'm just gon na try to kind of bring it down. Kinda tuck these longer pieces underneath somehow., I don't know., But wow. It'S actually working.. I'M trying to follow the way the hair is going. I guess. It kinda looks messy. And I don't know if I like this type of messy., It looks kinda crunchy, messy, (, laughs ). I don't know. If I like this., I mean I don't hate it because it definitely smooths it out, but I don't know if I like the look of it.'Cause it kinda looks wet and crunchy right here., So I really wan na give it some time to really dry down.. It looks sleek and I don't hate it, but I think I would actually prefer this. Probably if I'm going to have my hair parted in the middle. And maybe do like a very sleek low bun., Maybe like a low, chignon bun, something like that.. I think I actually prefer the messy bun being a little bit crazy, like having the hair somewhat stick it out, but I'm touching my head and it's wet.. I don't know if you can see the reflection on my hand, but right there you can see., I'm just touchin' it. Everything just feels wet. These hairs right here they seem pretty dry, but I'm touchin' it and they feel crunchy. And I feel like they look crunchy. Also in the light., I don't know., I'm so conflicted because it actually did a pretty not pretty. It actually did a very good job at kind of smoothing everything out., But then the look of it. It looks crunchy and it looks wet. And I'm touchin' it and it's making my sweater wet. Oof. I don't know. All right. I'M gon na give this a good. Let'S give it 10 minutes to dry. I'm gon na time it, and then we will see what it looks like once. It'S fully dry., Let's do a good quick turn around before and then we'll wait for it to dry and then we'll see where we come out. ( chuckles ), All right., It's been a little over 30 minutes.. We got a little carried away because we got a shipment in., Our kitchen arrived. Part of it ( laughs, ), Hey at least we have a little bit of a kitchen.. So the one thing I do wan na say about this is we're completely dry., But touching the hair. It feels very crunchy.. You can feel where I applied the product into my hair and especially towards the bottom in the back.. It does not feel good. Like it's literally stuck in some sections, so basically I would have to go back in and like re-work it before I dry down., But again it dried down very crunchy. Like I thought. But. But.. It actually looks pretty good from the front.. I have no idea what it looks like in the back.. I'M gon na pull my sweater down, so we can take a closer look of what it looks like towards the back of my head.. Of course, it's gon na look like you have product in your hair. You know what I mean: ?'Cause you put product in your hair., So this product, if you think it's gon na, look super natural if it's gon na look very soft, but it's also gon na hold your hair up and very sleeked down. It'S just not possible because whew Any kind of product you put in your hair, no matter what it is, a gel, a mousse, you're gon na see it because it's a different type of texture than your hair.. So the one thing is, you are gon na see the product in your hair., But hey. At least your hair is smooth. It'S sleeked down, it looks good. Like I said. I think I would prefer this when I'm wearing my hair in a center part or, like you know, a very side part. And I want like a low, very sleek bun.. I think this will actually work very, very nicely. Or you're going for a very sleek look.. I'M not really mad., I'm not too mad.. I really like the idea.. I like that someone actually thought outside of the box and were like ``, Hey a mascara wand !''. Why did nobody think of that ?''? I think that's actually genius, because you have all those tiny little bristles right inside, so you can get really close to those really tiny little baby hairs and it can really help just stick everything together.. So I really like the concept.. I think the concept is great.. Whoo The smells is disgusting., You don't need scent in here., You don't need it., It needs to be unscented. Like. Why is there a scent in here? It'S actually not bad.. I would give it like a seven out of 10., I'm actually quite happy, and I am going to try to see how long the hair will last you know going out and about but overall my thoughts, I'm not mad., Like I honestly thought it was gon na. Do what it was gon na do.? I knew that it was not gon na look like fresh hair. It was not gon na look like texture of you hair because, obviously that's not possible.. It was definitely gon na. Look like you have product in your hair, but it did a pretty good job.. I like that. I don't need to use my fingers. I like that. I don't have use an extra brush or a comb to use hair spray and then comb it out.. I like that this is all kind of like one and done type of thing. And you can carry it with you, which is phenomenal.. I think it's actually quite genius of a product.. It'S actually pretty cool.. I like that. It'S clear., I think, that's really cool. And I think maybe if they came out with maybe colored ones, that you could really fill in like some parts right here. Let'S say if you wan na kind of fill in your hairline, that would be kinda cool. But yeah. I'M not really used to wearing my hair, this sleek, especially for a messy bun.. So this is kind of a look for me in itself., But honestly going over some of those little sections to kind of really smooth it out with a brush or a comb kind of helps not to look as crunchy., Like I'm actually quite impressed that it did A really good job. And those hairs there was a lot of shorter pieces in the back.. It wasn't just a little section.. It was the entire lower back of my head., So I'm actually well see right. Here. See! This is what I'm worried: about. That it's just gon na start doing: that. [, Andrey ] Yeah, that's the one that you touched. And that's the one that I touched. So, let's fix that.. Actually can you fix that for me Yeah? I noticed that right here. If you start brushing it out and if you put too much in that little section, it dries white and it kind of breaks apart, but. All right. You guys I'll keep you updated., But if I don't keep you updated. Thank you for watching this video. Thank you for spending time with me. And please let me know if you have tried this product and how do you like it? How does it work on darker hair, I'm wondering., Even though it's clear it does kinda dry down like glue., You know what I mean. Who knows. Maybe this is just that product that I got from Amazon.. I'M sure there are a lot more on the market. Now ( chuckles ), But I'll keep you guys updated. I'll, try to at least do one more update, see how long the hair lasts. I'll give it at least five to eight hours. And yeah. Alright. So I'm doing my one and only Check-in for the day I'll explain why It's been almost 6 hours And honestly, the hair's holding up pretty great. There are some little hairs This right here. You see that right there, It's so funny, And then these little hairs right here You can see from the lights Honestly its not bad. It'S holding Up pretty great. The one thing I have to say that's kind of Bugging me. A lot Is once it's drying down And in those certain sections Like if you wan na, take it off or if you wan na break it apart a little Maybe like brush it out. It looks like glue Like when you take it out. There'S like little white Sections, like I'm gon na try to take some of this out Andrey, Like Elmer's Glue Like it literally looks like glue in your hair Elmer's Glue Like it's ... Andrey. They pretty much, took Elmer's glue And put some fragrance to it. Honestly, it's acting like glue because it's glueing Your hair to your hair, Which is not bad but .... It does have some negative Effects. So if you're not into that - And the one thing I do wan na say is How does it look in darker hair, Like I'm looking right now and it kinda looks like I have A bunch of dandruff In certain spots Like when it's dry Yeah like you, Can see right here Like all the way right here, It's only in those places where I actually applied That glue, So I'm gon na have Andrey do a nice close-up of The back of my head, Especially where I applied a lot of the product in that 1 Area And I didn't get to brush it out very fast before it set So be careful with that. Maybe go back over with a little comb To really disperse the product into your hair Because it will get stuck and it will look like glue and it feels like glue Next point is: Can I reuse my hair And wear it down after I've had this product In my hair, If I've had my hair up, So I'm assuming probably not - And it's probably gon na - look really bad, because If you touch it and move it around, it becomes white And it starts looking really bad Ow, Ow, ow, ow, .... Okay, that actually kinda hurts ... Ow. You guys see that It's literally ... Ouch Wow Yeah. I would yeah .... I need to wash this hair Like. I wouldn't feel comfortable going out in public After this Yeah. It just feels and looks really dirty ..., Alright. So, overall, This is more of like If you're gon na wan na sleek your hair down You're gon na, have to stay with that for The rest of the time until you wash your hair. So keep that in mind. It does make your hair feel very Dirty. Like you can feel the product in your hair, even after You brush it out, but Hey at least this still looks, good.. Look at that Very sleek. Alright, you guys That's the update Some parts. I don't like some parts I do like. So It's a give and take type of product. Thank you for watching this video spending time with me, And this hair finishing cream And I'll see you in the next one very soon Bye, [, muah, ]

Amanda Lynn: Is it weird that I’ve always done this with clear mascara?! I buy the elf one for $1 and it works so well!

Nancy W: Like other people in the comments, I use clear mascara for flyaways too. So, obviously people have had this sort of idea for awhile. It's surprising that more mainstream brands haven't come out with a product like this. Thanks for trying this out for us! Now we don't have to wonder if it's better than the clear mascara we've been using.

Kylie McCarthy: I use "soft" hairsprays and I think they work fairly well even for holding curled hairstyles as well. Kinda bummed this leaves your hair sticky

Amy D: This, as well as the idea in the comments of clear mascara, is a good idea just as a travel/purse touch up tool if you’ve already sleeked your hair for the day at home. My daughter has to do military buns for school and always complains about not being able to touch it up at school, so this would be great for that!

JonelaRen: I'm a nurse, so I do a sleek bun for work every shift and been using spoolie and a hair spray for ages. Cheap, easy, and not an EXTRA product you need to invest in. As a matter of fact with hair spray and a spoolie you can control how much product you're using on each section and you can prevent the "crunchy" feeling. Try it. ^.^

Ayesha Marie: Hi, I have dark hair and have been using this product for months now, I find it works really well and will last a good 8 to 10 hours. The way I apply it is put it on my hair leave it for 10mins then completely brush my hair through and style and it works like a treat!! No crunchy hair, it doesn't look grease and stay the way I have styled it for hours xxx

ketchup: I currently use the clear Maybelline mascara on my hair parting to help with frizz. I would love to see a comparison video between the two. Also if there are any other hair mascaras like this on the market I would love to see a battle it out video of them!

Beachblues21: Question: Did it give you an allergic reaction? Some years ago I used a very popular hair glue product in my son's hair, he looked great but...as time went by his hair and scalp started showing signs of damage. The pediatrician stated that hair glues are not to be used in children's/ teenager's hair because of it's frailty and the possibility of damage, because the glue seals the hair strand for it to stay and look "sleek". The hair is literally glued together making it difficult for it to receive and use it's own natural oils. Also, even when we did wash his hair at the end of each day it was still not enough to dissolve the glue entirely. The residue that remained eventually gave my son a painful rash that required treatment. His doc also advised a new hair routine that included scalp massage (once it healed) and to stop the use of any additional hair products for a time. We learned that, being on the lookout for any signs of damage our hair may show is always a good idea. With my son, his first clue that something was happening, was that he felt his scalp "tender to the touch" causing discomfort. His hair also seemed alot thinner than before (it turns out he was loosing his hair and had small hidden bald spots, that thankfully grew back once the scalp healed). Not everyone has this type of reaction, and coincidentally, that hair glue was very popular at the time, and I hadn't heard or read, either by word of mouth or online, to cause me concern about its use (nor did the product label have any info about any potential harm) ‍♀️

Chandys Scott: I’ve done this with the Elf clear brow gel for a couple of years now. I wipe the edges and end off on the opening of the tube so there are no big globs. Now I want to try this!

Suzanne Dawson: This exactly what I need for the wigs I need to wear. Thanks for reviewing.

Heidi Bowie: LOL... we put colored mascara in our hair in the early 90s. It was that exact process! This seems to be an eyebrow gel made bigger for hair, but when she said color I cracked up!

Kelly Maldia: I've used clear mascara, toothbrush with hair spray and even colored eyebrow gel. I love Maybelline Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer. The wand is perfect for this. I just put it on clear mascara.

Makara Sernett: I use hairspray on a cheap toothbrush. It works really well, and I can spray lightly or heavy to control how effortless or sleek I want. And if you pick a good hair spray, it will hold and doesn’t look wet & crunchy. It works as good as the hairspray you use. When the toothbrush gets gunky you can just wash with shampoo or any soap. N

roguesirena: I like the fly away look though. Makes it seem effortless

popcultedits: I think I'm amoung the few who actually like the messy hair look. Hair falling on the bottom and sides while in a bun.

Alexandra: So I use this product and I love it. I have super dark hair and it does give a kind of shine, but it helps to 'scrape' the wand on the outside of the tube when you first get it out to remove excess product. That is what I have found gives the 'crunchy' texture.

N D: I think products like these are meant to be used sparingly and for fine baby fringe, not compensate for hair that otherwise won’t fit in a bun. If it’s used this way I think you’d get much better results. If they advertise otherwise then they are misleading, because no one wants glued hair Lol

Christine Ngai: My hair is still short so I do have a lot of fly away hair on the bottom when I put up my hair. I use Matomage a Japanese product, it’s like a wax & can be slightly oily but not crunchy. It holds pretty well for me.

Cindy Snow: Finally after using castor oil, my baby hairs around my hairline are growing. Great... but they hang in my face! I am thinking of getting something like a tooth brush or spoiler with gel or edges control. Love your lipstick

nionvox: You can get the same stuff in ethnic-run hair supply stores, it's just finishing cream/gel for baby hairs.

Iyana Cantrell: You can also use hairspray and a toothbrush, unused obviously, to tame flyaways.

Emma Poley: I've been using clear brow gel for years to achieve a sleek look !!

Jenn Hicks: I use hairspray and a new toothbrush, works great! Same as this you see the product in your hair but depending on your hairspray it’s not as noticeable and not as sticky

Nicole Sanders: This might be good for hair touch ups for dancers and cheerleaders who use tons of hair spray and women in the Navy who have to have their hair slicked back in buns

Instant Gratification Beauty: I would use a matte pomade and a spoolie or toothbrush, especially something with a firm hold. It will keep it from being crunchy and shiny.

Em 12344: Personally I spray hairspray on a hairbrush and then I brush it through my hair before doing the bun. I haven't done it in a while but it worked.

davina c: Can you follow a curly hair routine with your hair? That would be so fun and you might have actually naturally curly hair

Chiraz Mustafa: I think using clear brow gel would do the same job!

Rachel Dee: Could you test this concept with some different affordable clear and tinted brow gels? That's what I do, but I've never seen a comparison video on the options.

Dhara Patel: Would you be able to do a demo on the bun style in this pic?! Looks amazing!

Shannon Christie: I can see this being convenient if you are out and want to do some minor touch ups, but this is nothing that a comb and some hair gel can't do.

Linda Garcia: I feel like you can buy disposable mascara wands & coat it in your favorite gel & slick down your baby hairs that way

Littlewings85: Does hairspray/wax/putty/mousse etc on a toothbrush or spare mascara wand not do exactly the same thing? You should do a test of all of them and see which works best/which doesn't leave hair crunchy or greasy etc. If wax or whatever works just as well and you already use it then it saves you having to buy a second product (even if it is cheap).

Zedije Iseini: I do this with a mascara wand from a tube of mascara that i dont use anymore, and hairspray, minus the glue feeling and dandruf look

Nadja Bexley: Thanks for making a review!!!! Have seen it all over as well and wanted to know whether it does the job

Shine Sidney: Hahaa i use clear mascara, (for years)when I french braid my daughters hair to tame baby hair and fly aways. mom hack! Lasts all day of elementary school and soccer practice.

Stephanie Morey: Is there any way to control how much is on the wand? Maybe that would help. Does look wet.

hmexotic: You whipped your hair into a super cute bun in minutes....you need to show me how lol especially since I chopped all my hair off and it's the same length as yours now. I miss the ease of my buns ☹

Kalisha J: I guess this is pretty neat but I've been doing this with a designated toothbrush and gel since I was little, lol.

Chelsey Williams: I've been doing this for years with clear mascara/clear brow gel. And you cant even tell.

ChiTownGal: Who else immediately wants to try this on their brows? Lol

threeqtrtime: Such a great idea ❤️❤️

Ki Vi Ke: I just use a clean old mascara wand to brush the baby hair into and spray it with hairspray. That works for me very well. I just use a light spray so you don’t see the product.

Waffles: Imagine mixing this with an actual mascara lol

jacquie1294: How is your hair so perfect!?!?

FashionIsMyPassionGirl: Great review! Thank you!

Brandy Freeman: Fortunately, I don't need a lot of hair products for my hair. If I do need an extra "hold" I use John Frieda Frizz Ease Hairspray. It is very lightweight. No sticky, tacky, hard feeling from it ever. If I happen to have baby hairs I just use the hairspray & an old toothbrush. Works like a charm

Stephanie Morey: That's going to be my new mantra when I'm disappointed in someone's behavior: I'm not mad.

MrsLoretta: Does a good job...and you have a great assistant!! Wonder if it was hard to get out of your hair.. Dandruff!! Oh no.. Hugs Loretta

kath biddle-dutton: Love the nails hair looks fine sleek or flyaway .. thanks

Anna Marie Krupka: I REALLY struggle with fly aways, hopefully I can find something good

Nancy W: Your nails look great btw!

Tabi Mimja: I do this with clear mascara. It works well but I do wish that the brush was a little larger.

Gina Cox: I wish I had something like this for army basic training easier than using a bottle of gel

Carla Humphrey: Well clean an old mascara wand Pick your product put some on your palm. Dip the wand in and apply. Seems like that would work.

Natallya Cavagnolli: Skin perfect! ❤️❤️

Giulia R: Aloe vera gel plus toothbrush (ofc not for teeth ) works too, and I think it's healtier. I myself do so!

Kathy Lozito: I use Moroccan Oil Mending Infusion after I've blow-dried my hair and several times a day. It's better for the hair than something that crackles. When you have fine hair as I have ,breakage all through the day is inevitable. Nothing, however, stops the new hair coming in at the temples (I'm 71) and that hair is curly fine. The rest of my flyways respond very nicely to the creamed and stays moisturized

Cindy Nelson: I used to spray hairspray on a cotton ball and sweep the flyaways up with that.

catrlik: I'm using clear brow gel... I think it's basically the same thing.. maybe it's better... Maybe try to compare it...

toria.: Years I have used hairspray then got one of those silicone clinique mascara wands from Sears that are ment for sampling. Same thing haha

Lola M.: That’s a single use container for my hair

Haz 101: I would say my hair look like a frizzy mop. Hard to tame. Even aftr I tie up & into a bun. U can see those frzzy sticking out. I need ONE of this

Verónica Figueiredo: Ive just put hair gel on a mascara tube and walaaaaah :D it works :D

Anne Castilho: well just do it with a gel + an old mascara brush?

Gee Cee: How long does this last?

Siobhán K.: Looked also like it had irritated the back of her scalp. I noticed it was red. Wonder if it didn’t agree with her skin...

jamba jackson: Can. You use that to get ur hair to stay perfectly behind ur ears when ur hair is down with sleek middle or side part. And also. A sleek ponytail i mostly like my hair tucked behind my ears. But i have to re tuck them. At times

Evans Family Videos: Have you used it thought to review R+Co Dallas? I don’t know anything about it but all I found on YouTube is from the brand not individual reviews

Anna R: HAIR glue not HOT glue!!! That’s how I read that until you said what it was

z VH: I put hair gel diluted in water, in a clean mascara bottle and voila, it's cheaper and it works.

Avril Collins Martinez: Hairspray and a mascara wand...much cheaper!

Jennifer Griffith: What if you put it on your hand and then rub it in?

yukonladi1603: Just clean out a mascara tube and use your own hair gel

Mona: So basically a brow gel.

Canon: I would think it would barely detectable in darker hair.

Teresa Wyeth: I like the way it looks really nice we cant see the crunchy

Lonnie Santrock: Im thinking you paid $8.00 for 10 cents worth of hair gel in a mascara wand.

Bernadette Blanding: Did it have any type of smell to it?

YouFoundHeidi: I use hairspray and an eyebrow spoolie. ‍♀️

Elizabeth B: Love your lipstick color.  What shade and brand, please?

Julie Colleran: Once you mentioned Elmers glue, I’m out!

Hatch Man Do: Gosh with the before and after cover pic I thought you had your roots smudged (darkened) and so I thought it looked better before. It looked like you had roots from behind. It also looks greasy

ThisWondrousWorld: Got2B spray is good for this

Aussie Mum2014: Love your sweater! Where is it from?

Mrs Pinball Potter: It looks more messy with the hair glue

M W: Use the clear mascara

A CL: Oh I hope you show a bunch of videos about your home Reno!

Christine Lamshed: Do you have a video on how you do that top knot your wearing today :)

Jennifer Griffith: Let us know how it held up?

silver_wolf: It looks very messy...instead of doing all that and it doesn't look good, get a keratin done, its better.

Manahel Irfan: Ok lol I NEED THISSS❤️ btw I luv u soooo much and ur beautiful

Chanel SB: Am. I the only one wondering if u can use that to do ur edges??? Just me....... Oh ok :'v

Suzette Smith: I hate my fine baby hairs! But I think this wasn't going to look good

Dominique Stevens: What if you use less

Kelley Sussman: i stick with my spray gel

Arc Kocsog: Just use a wet comb with tiny teeth

Mars and Crew: Very fascinating

Jennifer Nieczypor: This video needs a crunchy counter.

Crissy: On dark hair it does look like white glue its terribly disgusting! Do not recommend it at all! I try brushing it to blend the product and when it dries it looks like mites
