Hey guys thought I'd share my easy, whipped, coconut oil pre-poo treatment. I'Ve been doing this on and off for about a year and I was actually inspired by evan EI ka e kart. Six last year after watching one of her videos, she stated that she uses coconut oil right before she shampoos out here, and I have a huge hair crush on her. So I was like why not give it a try? Actually you like it a lot and coconut oil is great because it penetrates the hair, reduces damage and breakage, and it does that by protecting your hair from hydro fatigue and protein Lawson. After watching her video, I read up on it on the natural Haven so I'll link those articles as well as her video down in the description box. So to start you're going to need, of course, coconut oil, Doo and avocado oil. I'M going to use tea tree oil as my essential oil and olive oil, avocado and olive oil have been known to also penetrate the hair, so I just figured those things will make it more intense and, of course, you're gon na need your mixer a little jar And a spoon so um I was guesstimating, you can just kind of see how many scoops of coconut oil I put in with a really big spoon. So that's about the amount of coconut oil I use. I used more coconut oil than other ones because I actually like coconut a little better, so there's the avocado oil and then I'm adding some olive oil. Now, if you love olive oil more, maybe you want to use more olive oil or if you love, avocado oil. More you maybe want to use more of it, but that's pretty much what I did and all I'm gon na do is mix. Of course, I added those few drops of tea tree oil back there. Now I'm mixing it and mixing it until it's super fluffy and that's not going to take long and what I like about this is even after I do this, and the coconut oil sits in a jar. It'S still really fluffy, and we actually did this at one of our meetings. Last year we were mentoring, the girls at the high school - that was one of the little do-it-yourself things we did with the girls was basically just whipped up some coconut oil and gave it away so there's the coconut or look at how fluffy. That is. I absolutely love it now as a pre-poo treatment. You want to do this on dry hair, I repeat, dry hair and you want to put it on like it's going out of style, so I'm gon na put on a couple plastic caps, because my hair is really big for some deep conditioning now I did not Sit under the dryer, but you can do that for about like twenty to forty minutes. I actually left it on overnight and that's me, I'm sweaty, because I just came from the gym. This is the next day it's more intense if you leave it in overnight. I read that one of the articles you want to do it for a long time, and this is my hair straight out of the shower. Now it leaves your hair feeling less strips after you have shampooed your hair, but I also use it whenever I'm taking down my twists sometimes - and I actually like it because look. This is the next day, still nice and fluffy, and I'm just going to use it on the tips of my fingers as I'm taking down the twists, because you can still, of course, use the oil to seal and to add some shine to your hair. So there I am taking out my style after I have done this and I'll actually put a link to the video for this hairstyle if you haven't already seen the tutorial for the classic twisting curl. So these are my final results after shampooing my hair, and doing all that stuff with the coconut oil so guys. I hope you like this video and please don't forget to rate comment and subscribe thanks guys and God bless

Kristina Avery: I have been using coconut oil as a pre-poo for months now, I braid my hair and I leave it on overnight. Since I have been doing this I have noticed a HUGE difference in my hair. There's no breakage, it's a lot stronger and healthier and I have noticed a big difference in shedding, it doesn't shed as much as it used to:-) and my hair is sooo moisturized and the oil really does help protect my strands from shampoo.

alicia trotter: Thank you so much for the recipe! I've been trying to find a good pre condition for my hair because it's so dry. By the end of the day my hair is very thirsty. You ladies always have really good hair tips. Keep them coming!

doogieRN1: Did this to my hair, left it in for 4 hours then did my regular routine wash. It was awesome, loved it can't wait to do it again, thanks India

SheAnatural B.: I love shea butter and coconut butter blended together, they have so many wonderful benefits! I usually add olive and jojoba but my new current favorite is Baobab oil.

Jeanine Griffin: I tried this on my daughter's hair this weekend and it made her hair SOOO soft. She has thick, tightly curled hair. The ends of her hair always feel very rough. After letting it sit on her hair for a few hours I washed her hair like normal. I was easier to style. I noticed how soft it was the next day once her hair was dry. It was like her hair was literally thirsty. I will definitely be using this weekly. Thanks for sharing!

Adivineebony: The past few months I usually slap coconut oil on my hair the night before I am about to wash and sleep with it. My hair has LOVED it!

Lapreghiera: It also works great to protect flat iron styles from frizz. I put a shea butter olive oil whip on daily, about a quarter size amount thru my hair & ends when its straightened. Doesn't weigh it down, fights frizz/reversion, and keeps hair moisturized.

KokoLove: I love this idea for a pre-poo treatment and your hair came out really nice. I was wondering if I can use any other oils (i.e. peppermint, almond, castor) along with the whipped coconut oil pre-poo recipe. Also, where do you get that jar? Just curious...:)

Dominique Fortune: I've been using this on my 4b hair as a sealant, I never knew my hair loved coconut oil so much! It's not as dry anymore! Thanks! :)

Quietstorm91: Great video! I love coconut oil for pre-poo! I usually use it straight out the container. I generally mix coconut oil with Shea butter and other oils for my hair and body. Definitely gonna try this mixture! XoXo

M. Bible: Just made this after watching your video. I love the consistency and can't wait to try it on my hair tomorrow!!

Kimdoesthething: I thought this would leave my hair oily but it's actually magic thank you for making this

Angie J.: I absolutely love this mix. I tried it but added a little more liquid oils to mine & it never solidified. It stayed the same whipped consistency day after day. I love it & thank you so much

FallnAngel07: awesome video. I've used coconut oil as a pre poo and I LOVE it. never tried it whipped, seems like like a luxurious hair treatment. Good video, thanks for the recipe

SinFullytwisted Reviews: I just whipped up my own batch today. I always use coconut oil as a pre poo but I always felt it was a little messy to apply. This is a great alternative and a def staple for me from now on! Although I prefer to add it to slightly damp hair lol. Thnx for the suggestion!

CCL: I also use coconut oil ONLY as a pre-poo and I use olive oil and castor oil in my deep conditioner, but I will give your pre-poo a try. I loved how smooth the pre-poo became ! Love your video's sistass !

Lalita Murphy: Hi India! I have been using this weekly for one month, amaze balls !!! I usually put in before bed and wash and style the next morning. I've been natural for 3 years and I've used coconut oil the entire time. I have NOT seen the results that THIS concoction gives me. Thank you so much, keep the tutorials coming!!

Anastasia L: Hi, it is a really nice video, I use coconut oil every day and it is amazing for keeping my curls nice and define (plus the silk beanie of course:)). I keep my coconut oil at around +6 Celsius in the fridge, and a little jar separate from a big one in the bathroom, so I can just quickly deep my fingers into it and run them through my hair. (The coconut oil solidifies when kept in the fridge, but it warms up quickly as well over a water bath to make it very liquid or if you let it sit on a kitchen bench for a while before using it). Do you have to keep the whipped mixture in the fridge or can I also have it in my bathroom? (It gets to about +26 degrees in there). Also, I have Caucasian hair, however due to Israeli genes, they are very curly, especially in humid weather. I find that coconut oil in small quantities gives shine and moisture, and in bigger quantities (left in my hair overnight before the morning wash), deals with the overdrying of my hair and frizzyness, as well as strengthens my hair. It is great as after-powder treatment and as a preparation before powders as well. (I have used it after and before amla powder treatment, do not use it before not very sticky powders like hibiscus, as it will make the powder really hard to work with). Olive oil, on the other hand, makes my hair feel softer and and not as hard, so it is good when I want to do smooth buns. (Sort of smooth, as you can never do it super smooth unless you use artificial straightening products, which are very harmful for your hair structure). I feel that avocado oil makes my hair stick together (heavier?), but I guess it might be good for split end treatment (however a little trim is always the best idea, if possible :)). Overall, I cannot use all the tips from your videos due to my hair structure, but you definitely have some really great ideas, which I can totally use on my own hair to make it look natural, healthy, 'unstandardised', and... happy! Thank you!

Christina Le Maitre: Tried this recipe today and wow!!!! i just love it. love the texture and the feel of it in my hair. Made so much that even my mum is taking part in this.

Paris Jaye: First- I LOVE YOUR HAIR! Second- thank you so much for the demonstration! I'm gonna try this with coconut milk then whip in this conditioner concoction I have of henna oil conditioner, shea oil, various essential oils, and even melted down bar conditioner. My concoction stared with henna oil conditioner that was far too thick and gooey to spread. so I keep adding things to it in efforts to create a creamy conditioner texture that has spread! Cross fingers!

Bien1986: This is cool. I'm going to try this on my skin too :) it's like stretching one jar of coconut butter too. Great idea

Yes!  and the sauna is my steam treatment (lol)..... Thanks for the recipe.  Ohio weather is hard of my 4zzzzz hair and I am sure this will help.

I'm a 4C (and a true nappy nappy 4C LOL) and my ends get really dry and constantly knot up :( it's really annoying. I've been using shea and coconut off and on for 2 1/2 yrs but I have a plethora of other base oils as well as essential oils. I would love some advice on a good mix I can make that would protect my ends.

Lkp546: Hey India! love da vids :) Did you put it in the refrigerator to keep it whipped or did you leave it on the counter and it still stay whipped? Is it cool in da house (like did the temperature help keep it cool)? sorry for all the questions...I want to make this and idk if I should put it in the refrigerator or just leave it in a container in my room to use when I'm ready to use it.

Renee: Wow! Thank you for the video! I just made some.! I will use it for hair and body.
