Water swells the hair strand in general, so if you style on wet hair, typically all that water that made that twin, so truthy is gone by the morn hi, I'm Danielle, I do too much. I like hair talking, cosplay, music, art and stuff. Hey didn't see! You come in welcome to star puppy, I'm Danielle your resident weirdo. Welcome to this hey, you yeah you! You need a shirt. Please don't sleep on this rad new merch, it's my summer. Spring collection called no bad hair days because if you have hair, that automatically makes it good. Thus, you can never have a bad hair day. The design is actually in the pocket of the shirt. There are links in the description box also below the video, and in this I so many ways to get to the stop of ability check my merch out today. This is fluff nugget, say hello, fluff nugget indeed, for anyone who's a bit new to the channel fluff nugget is my head of hair fluffy. Nugget is 4c low. Porosity low density has fine strands super dry and is medium Mort in length. Now. What is fine hair? There'S a common misnomer, a misuse of the terms, low density, fine and thin. When I say fine hair, we are not talking about the number of hairs on my head. When I say fine hair, we are referring to each hairs, diameter or circumference, the scientific term, for each one of my strands is skin T it's often mixed up with the concept of low density, medium density and high density, which is how many hairs are on your Head per square inch I have low density and find here is what it is. So here are some of the struggles of fine hair. If you relate with most of these chances are, maybe you have fine hair. I have delicate little strands they're, so delicate and darling, and I love every single hair on my head. But every single hair on my head is a delicate little flower and that can get a little annoying, sometimes because the strands of my hair are so fine and small and it's guilty, it doesn't take basically any pressure to break them. I'Ve heard one of my friends hair strands snap. It like the sound ricocheted around the room it was. It was amazing. Mine is like a whisper when you're half asleep already a block away. She don't say nothing, she's just gone next, Oh brushing, I think you mean math, strand, elimination, no brushing - and I have a very sordid history brushing and I do not get a lot brushes. Don'T want me to be great. I have an upcoming video comparing certain brushes. I can tell you right now: I have a very strong opinion on brushing in general and with the entire slate of what fluff nugget is, I can say with the utmost confidence. I do not brush my hair a lot, because I want to have lots of hairs. Brushing doesn't support my dreams, so everyone knows that you're not supposed to do your hair and your irritate it, especially if you have natural hair, it's like kind of a long-term thing. If you want to have length retention and just generally keep your hair pretty healthy, you probably shouldn't do it when you're irritated. This is a general rule just to keep you out of trouble. You know what I mean like. Maybe some people have two chances to get away with it. It may be even one chance with fine strands. I have negative 12 chances to get it wrong. For my hair, you have a negative 12 chances. My hair is waiting for you to mess up. That'S where she and I differ, I'm an optimist. She a pessimist hardcore. Like I try not to do this, I don't. I try not to even touch my hair because the strands are so fine they're, just waiting geez Louise I'm looking at one of them, I'm like how are you even a thing? Wow fine hair does not take to manhandling well at all, it's just mm. No! No. This is because the strand is quite small, which means that its defenses are quite small and it can take much less damage than say a thicker strand of hair or coarser texture of hair. Yet another struggle, zero representation of your hair type makes you feel like you are some outlier. You know what I mean as I've started this channel and as this channel has grown, I've come to realize that I'm not I'm like, not special, which is like the most liberating thing about this channel. I am not the only one who has fine strands low-density 4c. Here you are not the only one who has fine hair. I actually had a very interesting comment in one of my past videos where someone very earnestly asked: isn't 4c hair typically thick and I was like. Oh no, but that's all you really see huh. How would you know that information? You know what I mean so think about the last time you saw natural hair on television or even in commercials and and film. Typically speaking, you see a lot of like super thick juicy. I froze and there's nothing wrong with that. I, like those just as much as you do, if not more trust me, but typically you see a lot of thicker strands and like higher density hairs and so without even seeing yourself reflected it's pretty hard to imagine that you aren't alone, you know, and yes, yes, Yes, for anyone say it's just hair: that's cool bye! This video isn't for you. Why did you click this? Like isn't really a struggle? I just think it's funny and it's like a it kind of brings us together, soft hair comments or, more accurately self. That'S s o FF or s, OPH e, all of our auntie's, at least at one point have said. Oh, she got soft hair. Typically, that is indicative of fine textured hair. It is you did pretty self to be honest, but that brings us into our next point. Honestly, sometimes you have to decide between definition and volume, because my hair is it's made up of such fine strands, it's very difficult for it to appear big or full. I have often referred to my hair as a head full of eyelashes, but they just don't take up as much a visual room, and so, if I try to achieve volume, typically definition goes out the window in the past. I have chosen volume now I choose definition: Wow Wow boy and I've managed to kind of split the difference. I don't look ball-headed, but I certainly don't look super full-figured of the of the throw of the cloth. It also means that styles in general are quite difficult to be achieved on wet hair. When you have fine strands, because mmm fine strands tend to be plumper when they're wet and then that moisture evaporates and some moisture is locked inside if you're doing the right things. But it's still water swells, the hair strand in general. So if you style on wet hair is gone by the morn and then you're stuck with a statue hairstyle been there done that we'll be there again someday and that move that can be pretty irritating and generally as a natural, with quite a challenging head of hair. I'M really into one in done moments. My wash day and style day is the same day, and I do styles that I don't have to touch thus the ever-present wash and go gang gang. Oh Lord, big struggle here: fine hair versus the Sun. The Sun always wins when you're outside feeling and looking glorious, as I recall from 2019, not so much this year, you can see yourself in a reflection. You might take a picture with a friend to commemorate what a lovely day your and you might check your reflection in the mirror and fix your teeth. I don't know - and you just seemingly just have no hairs. It'S because you're backlit and the Sun is here to ruin your good name. Fine hair loses that fight before they before the strands even enter the ring. Let me be honest with you know. I feel like everybody's hair, looks thinner when they're backlit, but having fine strands it makes you feel like all of this journey was for naught. I see, as I am once again, a bald-headed baby didn't go about your day. This is also a low-density thing but, as I said in the beginning, I'm both fairly fun for me to navigate another thing, and this is kind of a collab between my low-density and my fine strands, but my scalp is just out or why would it do that? I don't know uh and those are the struggles haha positivity ambush time for the pros of having fine hair get rekt Pro number one finger. Detangling actually works. I hear from my thicker hair and and more Harrod friends and just other. You know youtubers here that, in order to do your hair and to keep your hair on your head, you have to brush it because that's the only efficient, adequate way to detangle your hair as many as they may be and as thick as they may come. Because, if you don't do so, the ferry knots will come, the single strand, knots will come and the hair doom will ensue. For me, I like don't even really my hair strands are quite fine and because they're so small, I think they can slip past each other. Very easily because there's just more room to move because there's just less there's less hair diameter circumference. This is make any sense, and if, like you know, I let my watch and go run around too long I'll use this shampoo brush like when there's deep conditioner in my hair, while in the steamy shower, and it's like, not even a problem ever yeah, I find That when you find the right products for fine hair, the change is really noticeable it, like stays poppin longer. I think it's because my strands are so malleable, so malleable. So when I use the right products and really put them in place, they actually want to stay in place again. I think this has a lot to do with the friction and because they're so small, they don't have a lot of friction. What'S there to fight about. What'S there to fight about, you know, I like all right: okay, get ready biggest Pro, it's yours! I'M sorry! I'M sorry, I'm sorry! I'M cheese Queen at the end of the day you have hair. In my life I have had not hair. I'M just very, very grateful that I have this much, no matter what size the strands are, what the density is, what the color is, what the length is, what the temperament is, I don't care, I'm just happy to have hair and it's mine, and your fine hair Is yours and you're not at all fine hair, you're, just curious and clicked on this video hello, you're, welcome here it's yours! You have hair as good, which brings me back to my merchant. I really did make this with that complete energy, and I made this design. If you don't know, I decided my him. You know it would be cool if you wanted to buy some to support the channel and to perpetuate the idea that just having hair makes it good. I feel, like a lot of damage, has been done from a signing hair to be good or bad. I wish this merch was around when I was a kid, so I made it and it's cute. So if you want that check it out in the star puppy boutique, I've linked it below in the description box, there's a nice little clickable button under it. It'S my merch shelf and again right here and it's limited time and it's real cute. It'S for a good cause, more videos like this. So that's my list. What else should I be honest about the real struggles of? Let me know in the comments below and if you have a completely different experience listed below heck. We might even make this into a series where I just announced what the struggles are. Even if I don't go through them, I mean I can give those struggles. brynn k: I just want to take a moment to thank you for giving 4c ,fine ,low density hair representation this matters so much. YOU MATTER SO MUCH !

ItsRashard: “oh brushing, I think you mean mass strand elimination.” I feel this so much.

valerie vaughn: Love her personality and love her skin tone she's a Beautiful girl

Annika: "Brushing? You mean mass-strand elimination?" "Brushing does not support my dreams" me too, as of last week i vowed to only finger detangle

Tatenda Dandara: So glad to have found a vlogger with hair struggles I can relate to !!! The 4C natural hair community is often associated with thick and strong voluptuous manes, but there are some of us with more fragile strands that suffer every time we comb and brush. One of my biggest struggles is sleeping without having partitioned my hair into neat twists and buns. When I leave my fro as it is, I wake up with a flat carpet the next day and it's so painful to comb out unless I have wash day pulling out all the stops of shampooing and conditioning etc. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, love your channel to bits!!

Mina: I don’t have fine strands and my entire head isn’t 4c but I really appreciate these videos because it gives me a new perspective and new ideas for the parts of my hair that is more 4c (aka the crown and the front of my head).

Ninaboosexy sanchez: Hey you gorgeousness! Why are you not a Disney princess or abarbie doll!? I would buy all of the merchandise for my granddaughters and great nieces!!! You are really a unique being and I so adore you!

is that a chicken?: This damn wash and go is a big yes

Zoe: I think it’s kinda legendaric that u went from not wanting to do wash and go’s to wearing them frequently! I think they’re perfect on u and ppl with low density hair because u get the both of best worlds (definition and volume)

Daria Hupov: I have simple, straight hair, but I still love watching your videos about Fluffnugget. You have such a lovely energy that always draws me to your content, regardless of what's about. Great job for everything you do! I can see you are passionate and hardworking. ^_^

Galatea: You don't have to detangle as much (or at all) also because you have low porosity hair. The cuticle is tightly closed so the hairs can slide past one another. I have high porosity hair which means my cuticles are flayed open which makes my hairs snag against each other and tangle no matter how many times I've detangled my hair.

Too Much Passion: Danielle, I REALLY like the design of the merch, but I don't like the fact that it's hidden. I would love a version that covers the whole front of the shirt. It's such an amazing design. You're so talented!!

Jordyn Spencer: You're beautiful, like very beautiful, I love your personality and I like how you're open, but relaxed about things. I really love your videos, they make me so happy even when everything is going so wrong in my life

hiyd. y: i used to hate my thin n fine hair like "why my hair isnt as thick as what i see on youtube or IG!?".. now i've came to terms that everyone is different..i love the softness tho

Empress M: Honestly every video makes me love my hair more omg

OHSNAHPZ: You've made me more confident in my hair type and it's thickness. I love you, keep being the beautiful positive women that you are. Love you!

Eliza Dolittle: Whenever I see a video title that says "fine hair" I click. Ethnicity, race, and hair type don't factor into my decision to click on a video. I am a white woman with super fine hair. I have visited many hair videos by white women. I have also visited many hair videos by black women (from silk pressing to defining curls) and am mesmerized. I can't tell you how much I suffered throughout my entire life - being white and not fitting into the white European model - I have always felt like an outcast. My hair AND individual hair strands are so thin they won't grow past my shoulders. They break easily. Can't pull it into a pony tail without seeing scalp. Was never EVER able to make a braid. Ever. I have to keep it shortish, layered and styled with a round brush to have some body. I've watched many of your videos, Danielle. You are a beautiful young lady and talented (love your voice!). And your hair? I hear you and understand your struggles (even though our struggles are attached to very different hair types). It looks VERY cute the way you have it in this video. It's got more body than I could ever possibly hope to have!

jmack naturalista: I was waiting for this, you’re so talented and so cute, skin is gorgeous!!! I’m so glad that you have a space here to teach others about 4c hair, it’s so necessary for black women and girls to see others like them. And on top of it you’re a delight to watch! Great content for sure! Funny through and through, definitely lol moments all up in through, lol. And your animation and edits are priceless! Jokes on 10! New subbie as of like a week or so ago...and I’ve binged most of your videos! Oh forgot to add, your hair is super cute too! I love the shrinkage. I know it may cause more tangles, but it’s super cute, for a day, lol then stretch it out, lol.

fun times: Girl, I have low-medium density, fine, low porosity similar to yours. I love your videos and honestly. Here are some of my notes that I've learned on this hair journey. 1) The dreadlock community has way better advice than the natural hair community. Especially for our fine, low porosity and low density hair. 2) skip conditioner once in a while because is meant to close the hair shaft making low porosity hair even lower porosity. It wont ruin your hair that's how people start dreadlocks they dont condition their hair for like 6 months and the hair stays healthy. 3) mixing your own products works best because then you can keep it lightweight but ensure each ingredient has its purpose. Honesty store products have fillers and preservatives (to make profit) thus they are either A) so thick they can't penetrate the hair shaft and so just add weight to the making it more likely to break B) so thin that they evaporate before they can even penetrate the sharft All in one LOC/LCO recipe: Equal parts filtered water (for moisture), vegetable glycerin (it's a humectant so actually retains moisture) and oil (to seal in the moisture), plus a few drops of lavender and peppermint oil (stimulate blood flow and healing of the scalp). Put it All in one spray bottle, spray when your hair feels dry 4) get a massage oil set to test out the different oils to see what works best for you 5) When my hair is still dry or I want it extra juicy I mix water and aloe vera gel and apply liberally after the all in one spray. I hope this helps because I've been through your struggles and it's nice to know I'm not the only one. Love from the UK ❤❤❤

Siph: I actually think it's the opposite with fine hair and ease with detangling for the following reasons: 1) Try to loosen a tight knot from thread. Then, try to loosen a tight knit from yarn. Which one is easier? 2) fine hairs are lighter weight and therefore more likely to entangle because they have less weight pulling them down (if that makes sense). I think ease of detangling comes with low density rather than fine strands. Many fine hair people seem to experience even more tangles and matting.

indria drayton: Those who say, "it's just hair," don't have struggle hair....

JessieBanana: I did want to say I don't think all fine hair is panned. It's specifically less dense fine hair. I think people tend to like fine dense hair because of the level of volume it can achieve. I've always described my hair as light as a feather. Like my hair doesn't have any weight to it. There is so much of it, but it never gives you that heavy silky look, which is also pretty of course. Fine hair tends to hold styles better than course hair I think. I don't chemically treat my hair, like dye it, because it's too delicate for that, but I don't think you hair has to be so fragile it breaks at contact. You just have to be wary of things like protein or anything that makes it dry and brittle. I'd rather have a little frizz than make my hair brittle trying to define every curl. I also think wearing your hair stretched a lot is too much mechanical manipulation for fine hair. "Protective" styles too can also be counterproductive to fine hair. Fine hair just wants to be left alone.

Malaika Gabriela Anabwani: Omg! You are painfully on point I've always felt insecure about my fine low density hair. Like you see how your hair looks in this video... I aspire to be like that my 4c hair is so low density that you'd be able to see right through it . And I'd always felt odd because there's not much representation for such hair out there. That's why I love you soo much. When I watch your videos I finally feel at home thank you!

Jeanica101: I love how you know and understand your hair like it has it’s own personality. And that info was very useful for my low porosity fine 4c hair ❤️❤️

Fo Adunni: Your wash n go is so perfect. I'm so happy you've figured everything out and you're at a place of stability. (swells chest) You're triumphant!

Erin Van Casey: The fact that I found a video that describes my hair exactly almost made me cry. I’ve hated my hair for basically my entire life, but you’ve made me feel more comfortable about getting rid of my sew ins and going natural. Thank you

Tiffany Lucia: You taught me to stop doing my hair when I’m stressed or irritated. Truly most relatable advice. The more I do my hair in a calm, meditative, loving state, the more beautiful my hair looks and grows. Nourished like a sweet baby or a plant. When you are stressed, angry, agitated, or fussy, you are gonna end up jerking things around, holding on too tight, pulling too tight, not fully aware of what you’re doing, and not putting your hair’s needs first in mind.

Zaharra: The struggle is real. I love my loose hair, but locs are for me. That wash and go looks amazing

MsPryncessAllure: My hair is just like yours. I can relate to everything 100%

Milah&theChanges: There were so many times I wanted to hit the “like” button and every time I was sad to realize I already had!!! Much love and keep it up! I chose to microloc my fine 4c bc I couldn’t do the wash day marathon anymore but I found that keeping my hair stretched, dry detangling, and loose twists was a major key to retention

Tiyaná Hicks: OH MY GOSH! I LOVE YOU!!! Where have you been all my life? Everything you said about our hair is spot on!!!! I’ve had all these thoughts but have never heard it articulated so perfectly! I have to share this so people can understand my struggle! And I love your last PRO! It’s my hair, so it’s lovely!

Donna McKinson: You have put everything i have experienced and feel into words. Once my hair dries the braids are tiny and dry as a desert...like wft. I am 3c/4a but the struggle is exactly the same. Cannot get a good pic with my hair out. You have made me realise i have to choose between definition and volume.

Tammy Moore: I have fine 4c strands with curls smaller than a pen coil. Thank you for your videos you're always speaking my language. And I do feel we're under represented so learning what to do with my hair was a process. Now that I have figured it out it's thriving. Love you!

Wayward Artist: I have low porosity, medium density, extrenely fine, 4A hair so we have some differences but I feel a lot of this so intensely, I'm very glad you shared! Also the sun will slander so hard.

Maryam Sulu: I love love love your personality so much , oh and thanks for representing and educating us (4C hair growers) on our hair.

Charlène Buntu: You look AMAZING I need the tutorial of this wash and go PS: your videos teach me how to accept my hair as it is. Thank you for that

enaruvie: I can so relate. When I first went natural I had to weigh up whether I wanted learn to style my hair or whether I wanted long hair. There is zero margin for error. I like to look put together. But I could not practice on my own head because there would have been no hair if I persisted. I didn’t want to wear protective hairstyles all the tine. Straggly twists/braids are not an aesthetic I appreciate on myself. I also have a big head - not cute. Brushes ? ‍♀️ ‍♀️‍♀️ I found when my hair got longer my knots would be harder to detangle because my fine strands really loved each other.and created an Afro hair spaghetti junction, which I would often need to snip. In the end developing patience yields rewards and will aid in retaining length. I have been natural since 2002. I have cut my hair several times. My longest length was bra strap. I believe I can go further. It is not impossible to grow king hair, you have to treat our type like antique silk. Handle gently. I hunted for years for someone similar Thin low density hair. The only two I know are BeautiFroHair and Bola Cooper. Adedè has low density hair too. You may like to look them up.

StrawberryCreamPocky: you helped me learn more about doing one of my cousins hair and uplifting her because there isn't anything wrong with her hair! I show her your videos of you talking about your hair and styling your hair. :) your videos are important. You are important! edit: ain't no finger detangling for my hair ain't happening...feels bad, fingers get stuck, a battle you don't wanna fight....

Serena Stuart: You randomly came up on my feed and I’m glad you did! You are gorgeous with great energy. Thanks for this content. I too have low density, fine hair and struggle often so I appreciate this video. And you’re right: we need to be happy we have hair!

mellowkinks: Hey Danielle, your wash and go just keeps getting better and better!!!! I love to see type 4 wash and gos, I wish I would have found that style earlier in my natural hair journey.

rachel christine higgins: I’m mixed with long 3b curls BUT because my hair is super fine and super low density, I relate more to your hair than ALLLLL of the many 3b curly hair YouTube gurus out there. Thank you for your advice and representation; I really enjoy and appreciate you!! Because of you I have really accepted my hair the way it is. It *doesn’t want* to be thick and full and voluminous, and it never will be. BUT it does want to be MINE. So thank you for that.

Nymphtear: As someone who has always been frustrated and struggled with having incredibly dense hair I like seeing how so many people r different but we r all beautiful. One persons struggle isn’t always the same as the others but we all make it work

Brittany Gaston: Can we all just wear our curls, kinks, coils as they come out of our heads? Love the inspiration you are providing!

Alex Howard: Your hair is beautiful. There should definitely be more representation of 4c hair healthy and moisturized like yours so people know what is possible.

Jessica D: Yay!!! I just bought a shirt! I love the colors, and the cute design. I do wish Fluffnugget was peeping out of the pocket more, but either way, I am happy to support. Representation matters, keep it up! And I hope you are doing well during the current times. *love and hugs*

MsAsheeraA: Fluffnugget is looking extra fluffy today.

Dontraneece Gordon: I'm so happy I found starpuppy and fluffnugget. I was transitioning and recently big chopped. I thought it was the transition that weighed my hair down but no its just fine Type: 3c/4a Density: low Fine strands Low Porosity

Beverly Osaah: Although I have 4c, fine-strand, high density, low porosity hair, I appreciate this video nonetheless ❤️ because that fine-strand life is an annoying one. Ugh.

Hello Mr. Tito: Great video to describe "our hair". While my hair isn't low porosity, it is very fine and lacks serious density. It does grow well and maintain length despite being so fine, which I am thankful for. I always look forward to your videos :

Fem 4 Mask: Can I just say, I've only been watching your videos for a few months but you have quickly become one of my favorite YouTubers! Always bringing interesting content, you are funny as hell, and seem like such a genuinely wonderful person

Sassy S: I feel you. The struggle is REAL. I have low porosity, low density, fine thin hair. 4C. I've come to love my hair, but it took a while. Only this year I've found a few youtubers with the same characteristics. I had to stop watching the thicker youtubers, it seemed a waste of time. Thanks for your video. Pro: we save more money because we don't need as much product Con: You don't use as much product, so when something doesn't work for your hair, you have it for a long time.

AiDAN !: You’ve been helping me get through this quarantine season!! Love your personality.

Kaitlynne: Glad you are representing the fabulous fine hair family!

Apara: This makes so much sense. I relate to all you said. Im transitioning and thought that something was serious wrong with my hair since my hair isn't following what other youtubers hair is doing. detangling, no matter how "slippery the conditioner is, leads to massive shedding. I shed more than my dog...lol. I have fine strand hair!!! Learned something today :). What works for me is finger detangle. Comb and brushes is not my friend.

Global Citizen: “Brushing doesn’t support my dreams” I feel you sis!

Kay Kad: My hair is very similar to yours and the moment I found out (not too long ago smh) that it was meant to look like this naturally, I LITERALLY immediately stopped caring. That was such a biiiiiigggggggggggggg revelation to me in my natural hair journey. And I didn't discover that until age 24! I used to think there was something wrong with my hair because it didn't look like the others and I would always make a fuss about how to fix it. Now I know it's actually already perfect. Envying other hair types all the time seems pointless to me because I am who I am, I look beautiful wearing me and nothing's ever going to change that. My hair is good hair: It sprouts new growth out of my scalp everyday and it recoils when it gets wet, it's performing its genetic purpose. Hair-wise, I don't care about anything but preventing breakage because my hair is already good at everything. Beauty is a state of mind (but it is a privilege to have a mind that's healthy enough to have positive perceptions of one's self). However, it is shitty that natural hair representation is so one dimensional, this will not have a good effect on younger black girls.

monica53210: This was a WORD. Fine and low density natural here who really needed you in my life and didn’t know it. Thanks Sis!

Lovelypico Fro: Here for all the weirdness and this wash and “go” Please, give us the deets on how you achieved this look

Alex B.: Danielle: I don't really detangle my hair very often. Me: *gasps in fairy knots*

Nia Wesley: You are a STAR. Love your personality! Thanks for the hair tips! I have the same hair type and I’m just now getting a road map as to how to handle it.

Sharon Davis: Normalize watching ads on black girls content ;)

SO Su: Fine hair struggles is so real!!!! I've learned to live with it and love it ‍♀️❤

Titi Lectric: I really love your hair this way. I know you were apprehensive about cutting it, but it looks really healthy and the curls are JUICYYYY. Love ur little curlies

ediesmiles1: I’m already halfway thru your video and I’m loving it I started following you this year due to me having the same type of hair

MJ: I have a similar hair type to yours except mine is high porosity. The sheddening is a monthly occurrence for me especially when my iron levels drop (this is the 2nd time in 4 years!). It really discouraging and learning to love my 4c hair is a challenge with the constant breakage. However, I am just thankful to have hair and am trying to be grateful for what I have. It a work in progress but we will get there! Thanks for this valuable information! <3

Hilary Felton: A few more pros of fine strand low density hair: quicker wash days, products last longer because you don't need to use as much of them. Loved the video!!

Kelebogile Rikhotso: I’d really like to ask my strands: “what’s there to fight about” ‍♀️ because I’ve been detangling in rows for the past 2 days

Soph S: Can you do an updated wash and go routine (including daily moisturizing and night time routine)? As a fine and thin 4c girl you're the one Youtuber with my exact same hair type and I'm trying to get like you!

Noke: I also have 4c low density fine hair. And it's so nice that you are on YouTube showing us we outchea.

Nissa: I’m kinda early because I’m a simple girl I see Danielle I click

Kiana Lewis: I'm amazed that you're still trying. I have 4c hair like you do, and I shaved it off a year ago. I have no plans to grow it back. My hair was really a struggle to take care of, and it broke at the drop of a hat. I tried for years to learn what products it liked, it was like nothing worked and it just *wanted* to be difficult. If I wanted to make sure it was "healthy" I had to pay someone hundreds of dollars to braid it and not even wear it out. For me, it just wasn't worth the work, frustration, and money. It helps that I think having a shaved head as a black woman looks really elegant and beautiful. But just, kudos to you for still making it work. I quit.

Siyethaba Mkhize: Thank you for your Channel and for the representation. Lol Fluffnugget has a cousin in South Africa! She behaves exactly like my natural hair! I'm glad I found this channel!

Kendra M: The scientific word is “skinty”

Makeda Harris: I am the exact opposite of you as someone with 4c hair. I have alot of hair and it's super thick. However my 2 year old has hair just like you so I can see both sides. Finding your channel helped me to understand her hair and what it needs.

Raiche58: I think one of the biggest contributions of the natural hair movement for all people is to champion the idea that what your hair brings to the party is the primary figure-out of hair care, not what you want your hair to be--what your hair is.

Carina Raymond: Thanks for being so real! I was pretty sure I have coarse hair but this helped me confirm! When it breaks or even just parts, it sounds like crunching chips with your mouth open XD.

Abeya M.: Your wash n go is beautiful! I too have fine, low density hair. To top it off, my hair grows in naturally high porosity. I can't TOUCH my hair more than once every week or so... It was recommended to avoid wash 'n go's and twist outs...they tend to be 1 day hairstyles and fine hair can't handle much play... I get every word you're saying down to the guts, but not many else do and it makes me feel so not understood

ricecristi: Your hair your hair your hair!!! your hair looks so healthy and full! The definition is amazing

Jasmine Nixon: I have 3b/3c hair but also VERY fine and VERY low density hair. I finally feel not alone!!! The curls help to hide lack of volume lol but braids, twists, or straight styles are completely out of the question haha. Fine/low density feels: when someone has multiple braids/twists and just one of theirs is larger than your whole head of hair combined

Beverly Like Beverly Hills: I also have low density type 4 hair. So I agree that I rarely see our hair in marketing campaigns for natural hair products but I think the reason why isn’t malicious or anything bad though. A lot of the products that we buy show us pictures of women who have thick full Afros because that is what they are trying to infer their product does. And at some point I thought that if I used these products and took those hair vitamins I could “fix” my hair. But watching your videos helped me to realize there are some things that are out of our control and that there is no magic solution to give you some else’s natural head of hair. But it does make me wonder why only women with thick lush hair are considered to have healthy hair? Why does low density, fine strand hair not seen as healthy in media, at least for you, when it’s what you’re born with and can’t be changed?

Jacqui N.: You are not alone! I am here with you I honestly thought I was alone until your channel! I have 4c, low porosity, low density, fine strands. I try not to touch it at all! This video is so on point!!!

Journee Harris: my fine hair loves to tangle :( but you reminded me to continue to be positive about my hair bc it’s MINE!❤️

blkbry 1972: Girl I was done when you said that you had a "headful of eyelashes"

Jaden Alise: I have low porosity, thin, fine type 4 hair. I appreciate these videos so much I really do

shanelle jackson: Thank you for this!!! I have fine hair, medium density, low porosity and the struggle is v real.

alexis conrad: brushes generally lead to hair breakage as is. i switched to a wooden comb to combat breakage & help with the density of my hair around a month ago, and my shedding has depleted WIDLY. i’d truly recommend a comb (wider toothed), i hope this helps!

Carley Stephens: I would have never guessed you have fine, low density hair by just looking at it. You style it so beautifully.

bella onah: Hey star puppy. Love your video's. I've been following you for a month now and I must say, your channel is the only hair channel I watch, except am looking for nice hair styles lol. You are absolutely right about our kind of hair, like the strands are just there waiting for you to mess up so they can break off lol... But I always comb my hair after a protective style, I don't like the after math if I only detangle with fingers. I feel like there are still nuts inside and when I go to the salon, they will definitely comb it out and I feel like I lose a lot more than if I had combed it myself from the start. Most of the products you use, I can't get them here in Nigeria and amazon doesn't send most products to Nigeria. It sucks, I know but am still keeping it together. Love you dear #muah

Tammy Williams: Hi I'm a new subscriber. Loved your vlog I've been natural for two months . And yes this is my third time, this time I am going to enjoy the journey of my natural hair. Love your hair star puppy ❤️❤️

Spilt Ice Tea: You really helped me in starting my natural hair journey!! Tysm

Gloria A.: "Brushes don't want me to be great" was the reason I paused the video to get RID of my 8-year-old brush. Could not take my eyes off that necklace. In the space of about 1 second, I thought of 20 different outfits that would work with that necklace. Oh, and Star Puppy DOES have a "Full Figure Fro." Now, I want one just like hers.

Kira Player: I love how u have been wearing your hair the last 2 videos. So glad to see your progress and you finding styles that make u feel good but this is one of my faves!!

Laura: I will be reminding myself from now on to not do my hair when I'm angry anymore honestly I was hoping for a video on the current situation after last weeks poll but I'm happy for this too

Lion Mane: I have super super fine hair too!!! In my highschool class we looked at our hair strands under a microscope and it was easy to find mine cause it was half as small as everyone else's. My hair is luckily very strong and doesn't break easy despite its fineness

JessieBanana: Yeah, I think that's more of a density thing. Fine thick hair loves SSK. My hair isn't particularly hard to detangle, but it does tangle.

Morgan Kelly: This was so positive and just a general good heart felt video

Sunny Bunny: She is soooooo cute! I love her awesome personality! And this video was very informative. Thank you ❤️

Jasmine S.: Thanks for letting the people know about this baby fine hair. Just cause I have medium density and i can sorta kinda work and make my hair look sorta full, my hairs are still baby fine, been that way my whole life... but I do appreciate they dry quick quick, but alas breaks quick quick too, relaxers are not an option either :(

Sincere Harmony: I have hair. I needed to hear this. After having experienced hair loss from stress and low iron throughout life. My hair is fine fine fine but dense. My edges are going and all around thinning again but my length is to my armpit when stretched. I don't exactly know how to style it but.. i have hair.

Tee: Ma’am!!!! Speaking to my soul, fine, low density, low -super low porosity and everything you said rings true! Volume vs definition, styling on wet hair is a no no, the sun or any back light in general and now my hair is see through , scalpy parts…Child! But finger detangling is bae and my hair dries pretty fast, and it take less time to style comparatively to denser heads of hair. I will say it helps keeping my hair all one length- which means the back and perimeter of my hair are purposefully kept short but it gives me the illusion of “volume” so I’ll take it lol.
