Today, I'm going to be doing a braid out a chunky. Braid out says that on my hair, using the melanin hair care twisting along dating cream, as well as their pure oil blend on my hair, to get my hair Shh poppin, but Before we jump into this video. We'Re just gon na jump into the video. So yo Whitney also known as napped or 85 on YouTube launched a haircare brand last year entitled melanin, hair care and the internet was shook it we were shook. We were just like yo Whitney drop, something when you drop something I honestly could not stop talking about it, because I have been watching that tour 85 for about years. Now, honestly, since, like I started my whole natural hair journey in high school, so it's been like about six years, so I've been watching Whitney forever and when I saw that Whitney dropped a haircare line, I was shook, but I was just like nothing. No, I wanted her to drop a line and I used the comments when she did DIY videos saying like please drop like some type of haircare line. How do you Celebes because, honestly like when i tries to do the DIYs, they wouldn't come out as good as like her stuff would, and it just made me want her to sell me some products. So when i saw that she was releasing melanin haircare, i was shook. Okay, i was shook so I went on this site and I bought three things. I bought the hair cream, the twisted elongated arm cream. I bought the oil and then I also bought the cap. Umm, I posted a picture of the cap on my Instagram, not post the picture right here, so you guys can see guys make sure you're following your Instagram, because I posted behind the same things on my Instagram, all the time so make sure you're following me. But um I tried the cap and I really liked it and that's that, but today you guys are here to see me use her cream and her oil to do this chunky, braid outs, so we're just going to jump into the process. I hope you guys like how the video turns out okay yo. These are the two products right here. So what I'm going to be doing, for you guys, is a chunky, braid outs, so I'm going to be using the melanin hair carrots with a long gating style cream with shea butter and plus natural oils and amazing all of that um. It says long-lasting definition, no sulfates, no parabens, no mineral oil, no formal ahh. I can't pronounce that word, but you know is this: it's on here: alright right there there's none of that in this bottle. Just in case you guys were wondering um and honestly, like I'm. So excited this is like the one thing that I'm honestly like really excited to try and then I also picked up the oil, so this is the multi-use pure oil blend from melanin here. Karen honestly, this oil does not look greasy at all, so I'm very excited to see how it works on my hair, so what we gon na do is get into it. So I have my hair in five sections. It'S freshly washed. This is what my hair is. Looking like right now, so what I'm going to do is split this section in half cuz, I'm doing chunky braids. I think that should be good enough and honestly guys. My hair feels amazing because I just went in and trimmed it. So what I'm going to do now is take the melanin hair care um twist, the long dating style cream. Honestly, it kind of smells like shea butter, like obviously just smells like shea butter like it, has a hint of cocoa but shea butter. So I'm gon na take um about this much and this is very creamy, so I'm going to put it on my hands in the y'all, it's melting into my hands. So what I'm going to do is apply it to this section right here. So I just applied the cream, and now I'm gon na go in with the oil. That'S cool! Well, congratulations! You played yourself, Oh probably has a seal in it. Yeah, I'm only taking a little bit because I don't want my hair to be like hella greasy, even though they say that this oil is in greasiest. I want to take precaution and now that I applied all of that. It'S time to break I'm going to add a little bit more cream to the ends of my hair. So it's nice and defined like that. Much ok! So that's the first braid and I'm excited to see how my hair's gon na start out. Maybe one day I'll film a video using this for a wash and go, but I feel like I would have to use it with like something else I mean my hair does like it's starting to define just a little bit because it's moisturize, so maybe I can Get away with like a washing go using these two products um, if you guys would like to see that, let me know in the comments section, and I would definitely film that, for you, the oil smell is pretty good like it doesn't have like a specific scent Or nothing like that, but it smells pretty good to me. I just smells like herbal Orlick. I don't know okay, so I finished installing the chunky braids in my hair and I have a total of 17 braids on my hair. So so far so good. I don't see any signs of my hair going to be flaky or anything like that. So what I'm going to do is sit under my hooded dryer and then once I am done drying my head, I will come back, take down my hair and I will give you guys my final thoughts, but my initial thought right now is that the products absorbed Really well into my low porosity hair, I don't see any type of signs that it's not gon na dry properly, so we will see how a my hair comes out in five four three, two one: okay, so I dried my hair underneath my hooded dryer for about One hour, I think I think, was like one hour, so my hair feels pretty dry if it's not dry, it's probably like 90 % drier like 95 % dry. So what I'm going to be doing for you guys is I'm going to be it's a you know. My hair, so I'm going to apply a little bit more of the oil onto my hair and then we shall see what's going on with all of this. So this is what the first chunky breed is looking like, and you know so far so good and my hair feels really good. It sounds very moisturized which I really love. Now, I'm just going to continue. So this side is taken down and now it's time to tackle this, but so far so good it looks pretty good. So what I'm going to do is continue on okay. So these are my results and guys yo. My hair looks so good. Okay, we're gon na start off with just a parent's. First though appearance-wise my hair looks amazing, like there's definition, as you guys can see. It just looks amazing, honestly now, with that out the way my hair feels so good too so to style. My hair just use the twist elongated cream, as well as the oil blend, and then I used a little bit more oil to unravel my hair side and get frizz and honestly my hair feels matte good. It doesn't feel oily and you could feel the moisture in my hair, which I really like, and now with that out the way as well. The last thing that I'm going to talk about is the smell. It smells really good so on the cream doesn't really have a smell to it, but the oil does and the oil kind of smells like a horrible type of scent, but it smells amazing like it makes my hair smell good. I my hands smell good and I love how it smells honestly. I hope the smell kind of lingers on my hair throughout the week, because I love how it smells so with all that being said, I really like melanin hair care. I cannot complain and define my hair and left my hair feeling moisturize and looking a matte shiny as well and, most importantly, I barely use any product. I use like this much product honestly honestly, like the price kind of throw me off, because I was like sixteen dollars 16.99 who payin that for a cream. But I think honestly, like after using it and seeing how much I used on my hair and seeing how much is left in the container, I think that I really got a bang for my buck cuz. It'S 16 fluid ounces and 1699 for 16. Fluid ounces. That'S like $ 1 per fluid ounce, you're saving quences and this product can last you awhile. I think you're supposed to use it within like the year. So I think mine should last me like throughout the year, but I'm honestly guys, I love how my hair looks. I love how it feels and I cannot wait to see what else Whitney has in store for us with the melon didn't hair care.
