Hey what's up everyone, it is ty tys here so today i will be showing you guys how to moisturize your low porosity hair properly when you are not yet ready to wash your hair, so low porosity hair is harder to moisturize because your cuticles are laying flat. So you want to help the cuticles to lift and open, so one of the best things you can do is add steam to your hair, so this is going to raise the cuticles so that your hair can receive that moisture successfully. So another tip is to use some warm water in your spray bottle. So warm water helps to open up the hair cuticle as well, and this allows moisture to enter your hair. So i am using a combination of both to show you guys a demo on how to get your hair to become moisturized. So after spritzing, my hair with that warm water. Now i am steaming my hair with a steamer, so i'm using my facial steamer - and i just sit here for about five minutes - allow that steam to soak up into my hair. This is how my hair looks so now that my hair is nice and soft. This is when i can go ahead and part my hair, so you never manipulate dry hair, so i recently purchased this new hair growth. Serum by camille rose one day in target. I finally got it. I'Ve been eyeing it for a year now, so i'm just applying that hair serum to my scalp. So i love to oil, my scalp midway through my wash week. This helps to add nutrients to my scalp so that it can continue to grow in in a healthy way, and this also alleviates dry scalp. As you can see, my scalp is very healthy, so it's filled with a lot of great oils that contains lots of great nutrients vitamins and antioxidants. So you can use any hair growth serum that you have available use the one that is suited to your hair needs, and you can know that by googling each ingredient of your hair, serum or you can google, like the problem. You'Re, having with your scalp, find the perfect hair growth serum by googling, the best oils that are perfect for whatever problems you are having with your scalp. So if your scalp is constantly oily google best oils for oily scalp best oils for dry scalp, best oils for itchy scalp best oils for dandruff anything, you will find the perfect oils to add to your regimen pardon. My hair allows me to reach my scalp directly. So make sure that you are not getting any oil on your hair, because if you are getting oil on your hair, you are defeating the purpose of moisturizing your hair. So that is why i part my hair, very precisely so that that oil can go directly on my scalp and not on my hair oils. Do not moisturize your hair. They are a sealant and a lubricant. So that is why you do not moisturize your hair with oil. I will be showing you in a few seconds how to actually moisturize your hair okay, so my scalp is nice and oil, so i'm just going in with a nice soothing massage. It feels so amazing and that steamer is still going. It'S allowing the oils to fully penetrate my scalp and reach those follicles faster so for low porosity hair. When it comes to picking your moisturizers, you want to use something that is completely protein free. So protein is not the best for low porosity hair because the protein bonds can bind to the hair cuticle and it actually locks out moisture. So this hair milk right here is protein free or you can choose a hair spritz. That is protein free. You want to use something more on the lighter side, so if it comes in a bottle that should tell you that this is a lightweight moisturizer in comparison to a moisturizer that comes in a jar. So that is what you want to look for when you are choosing your moisturizer for your low porosity hair. So a moisturizer contains water as the first ingredient. It has emollients, which is oils and butters to lubricate and nourish the hair, and it also has humectants humectants help to attract more moisture from the environment to the hair. So after applying that moisturizer, you want to seal and lock in that moisturizer with a lightweight oil. Do not use a heavy butter or a thick oil like jamaican black, castor oil. Those oils are really really heavy, so go for something more. On the lighter side, such as sesame seed, oil, jojoba oil, you can even go for penetrating oils, such as olive oil, coconut oil and avocado oil. Those oils penetrate past the hair cuticle, and it is perfect for low porosity hair. You don't want to oil that sits on top of the cuticle and locks out, moisture or causes the hair to feel much more on the straw side. This is the perfect time to follow up with a wide tooth comb to remove those trap, shedded hair, just to cut back on your detangling time on your wash day. This also helps to limit single strand knots, so remove your shedded hair in a timely manner. This is how my hydrated 4c hair looks. It looks very juicy vibrant and you can definitely tell the difference. Moisture is key when it comes to length retention, so make sure that you focus on keeping your hair moisturized, especially those old ends which are pruned to more dryness in comparison to the rest of your hair. So, with low porosity hair, you don't want to moisturize your hair too much too much. Moisturizing is not good, because low porosity hair is pruned to build up so once or twice a week. It'S perfect. I would lean more towards the once a week, frequency for low porosity hair make sure you are working in sections while you are moisturizing your hair. This ensures that you do not miss any section of your hair, so the bigger your section, the more likely you are to miss sections and you will find that certain areas of your hair will thrive better. So sections is the key when it comes to 4c or thick natural hair. So this is how my hair is looking, and this is how your hair should look after successfully moisturizing and sealing your low porosity hair. It is nice and juicy you can go ahead and style, your hair after moisturizing it or you can just put on your bonnet and style it the following day. So thank you all so much for watching this demo and tutorial on how to moisturize low porosity hair. I hope that you use these tips to keep your hair moisturized the more moisturize your hair is the more length you retain, which equals the more longer your hair gets. So keep your hair. Moisturized moisture is key when it comes to growing your natural hair and keeping it healthy, see you in my next video bye-bye, you
