Nou Shampoo & Conditioner Review | 4C Hair

Hey curly ken welcome and welcome back to my channel, so it has been several weeks since our last family, video and i didn't know what first off it was christmas. So i didn't film and then prepare for that. So i was like the first. I didn't want to, you know, interrupt the holidays for y'all. I just wanted y'all, you know, enjoy y'all holidays, not trying to worry about my videos, but then you know the next week was um. What was it new year's and i put up my dye video of how i got this hair color and but my hair has been in this wash and go state for two weeks and now it's time to you know do something to my hair and there are New products at walmart and i have been seeing them all over my social media, like repeatedly like it, seemed like every time it's a hair advertisement on my social media, it's them. So i was like you know what i'm gon na try them. You know, and one thing about them is they're at walmart and they're only seven dollars each product. So if they're good, but the name of the brand is called new or next of us - and i only got two products from them because first off they had it on like the top shelf and i'm short, i'm only five. Five, like i had to get on my tippy toes just to get these two, so i was like you know what i'm not going to struggle. No more! I'M just get these two and run because i'm not gon na try to reach to the back of the top shelf. Knowing i can't um, but one thing i noticed about the brand is that on the packaging it tells you what type of hair can use the products. I think most of them say like for type 3a to 4c, like on this one right there um, but it's it also says some of them has like 3a to 3c48 to 4c, and you know i feel like that kind of helps the new newer naturals, because Not everybody knows exactly what works for their hair when you're, freshly or newly natural, so i feel like this would be something you know kind of easy for you to navigate through. So i like that um and also it is sulfate free, paraben, free diet, free and cruelty free, and it also has the porosity on there too, at the bottom at the top. It says the hair types and at the bottom it says the porosity so yeah i like that, and then they have like a um high, porosity, leave-in and a low porosity leave-in. That way all of us are not bunched in together. I like that, and i just i like the fact that it's cheap, but it also seems accessible, but we don't know how the products work just yet, so we need to get into the products. So first things. First, we need to try the shampoo it says new. Next to us no strip sulfate, free shampoo with avocado oil, it says, is for types 384c for low to high porosity hair. It is 10 fluid ounces for seven dollars and the smell. Oh my. This smells like some kind of candy yeah. It smells like some kind of kitty. It smells really really good. So, okay, i'm back, and i wet my hair and it's time to do the consistency test. Okay, it's a little runny. I don't know why. I said it a little when it looks like a lot of runny um and, like i said it smells like bubblegum or some kind of sweet. Candy smells really good but, as i said i just did a wash ago so now we're going to see. Does it actually cleanse my hair and get all of the gel residue out? Hopefully it does it leathers up pretty nicely and pretty quickly? I turn up to the okay, so i have you know, shampooed my hair and gave it a little scrub or whatever and first impression the lather. Is there it's extremely rich because, like as you can tell like, i have a lot of leather and i know some people like to see the letters leather. So they know like yeah, i'm cleansing my hair and that's why some people don't like co-washes but yeah. The leather is extremely rich um. A little goes a long way, so i feel like. If you buy this, it will keep you for a while, because it's 10 ounces and i feel like you'll, get you know more than your money's worth, because if a little goes a long way and it's only seven dollars you can, you will be able to keep It for a long long time, so i'm going to go rinse this out and start playing in my hair um and then we'll come back to try the next product. Okay, i rinsed out the shampoo, and this is what my hair is looking like. Um first thing: first, i'm gon na say is like i said, a little goes a long way. I use a lot the um when i shampoo, and that's because you know when i did the consistency test, it was like really really runny. So a lot ran out of the bottle, but uh yeah don't use as much as i did. Unless your hair is like super duper long but yeah, it took me forever to rest it out, because i use too much um another thing when i was rinsing it out. My hair felt like i used like a protein shampoo or something like it had like some that they properly did it or something. So it felt a little. I don't know how to put it, but it felt a little strong or something. But now after i took it out the t-shirt, my hair feels softer and it feels better so do with that information. What you will yeah so now it's on to the next product, which is a mask, but before we do that, i got ta separate my hair into four sections, so it'll be easier for me to apply the product. Okay, i left the back section out hold on. I put this one on too tight. I left the back section out, so this could be the section that we test, but the mask is the new next-to-bus moisture mask with shea butter for 3a to 4c hair for low and high cross level 2 high porosity hair is just like the shampoo sulfate paraben Dye and cruelty free is eight fluid ounces for seven dollars, and it also says that you only need to leave it on for three minutes. That'S different because if you have been following me for a while or if you're an oldie but a goodie to the channel, you know 30 minutes is the minimum. So three minutes i don't know, i don't know. Okay, so yeah we're gon na, try it oh, and so i know if you ever hear something different in my voice. It'S because i got myself sick yeah, i'm a just a tad bit sick, but it's fine! It'S fine! I guess you know so it's time for the consistency and the smell test. Well, that just flew out hit the table, but this is what it looks like. It seems like it's like a semi thick, but also creamy, and i'm getting a hint of what i smell in the shampoo, but also shea buttery as well so yeah. I'M gon na apply this to the back section of my hair and see how it does my hair, and i have not detangled this whole wash day, of course, so we're gon na apply it to my hair. Okay. First of all, first first thing i noticed, is the instant softness as soon as i put it on my hair second thing i noticed, is it soaked up everything and all of the product went into my hair? Like excuse me, like huh, what i'm wow? I did. This and i could easily run my fingers through too like what, because it you know, if you do a wash and go and then you just try to detangle your hair, it's not going to work! It'S not going to work you're going to have complications, because when you put your, i don't know what it is about washing goals, but it tangles up your hair. So much and this moisture mask is making the tangling of breeze like so easy, so easy. So as for right now, the way i'm feeling about this mask is pretty good, pretty good, because it just soaked into my hair and my hair is super, duper, soft and feeling pretty good. So we're going to keep on going applying the product to my hair and then i'll come back and give my final thoughts on everything after i have rinsed out the mask because, as i say often on my channel, you don't know how the product does your hair Until you wash it out because with um deep conditioners, your hair can feel good while it's in, but as soon as you rinse it out, your hair can be back hard. The way it was beforehand. So i'm just going to continue to applying the deep conditioner and detangling my hair and then i'll come back after i rinsed it out. So you guys can hear my final thoughts on how i feel about the products but first impressions. The products are amazing, disconnected okay. So i put it all in my hair, this is what it's looking like and, like i said, um earlier first impressions, this mask is like really really soft, and i was thinking like this would be a good mess to use like in the shower. You know sometimes you just want to finish your wash day in your shower and like say you just want a shampoo, deep conditioner. You could use this mask right here because say i'm gon na leave it there for three minutes, so you can wash it out before you get out of the shower instead of shampooing, deep conditioning and then get out of the shower and then have to either get Back in the shower or rinse your hair out at the sink, i feel like this is a good in the shower one, because you know three minutes in the shower and you're done. Then you can put your leave-in in if you would like okay, so i'm back and i have rinsed out the deep conditioner or the mask or whatever you want to call it and it's time for my um final thoughts of these products. First things: first, the shampoo um, the shampoo it did what it was supposed to do like my hair, was gunked up from all the gel that i used and when i rinsed out the shampoo at first i was like oh my god, you stripped my hair, but Then, as you know, time went on, like i put a t-shirt on my hair, so we could, you know, catch the water or whatever, and when i got back to my room, it felt like really really nice and not stripped. I don't know why it was feeling stripped when it still had the water in it or a lot of water in it, but it was feeling stripped. But now i think this is a really nice drugstore uh shampoo, like i feel like. If you don't know where to start. You can start here because it covers, like you, said all hair types. Basically, and it did my hair pretty nicely um. It cleans my hair. I was able to uh slightly finger detangle with it in my hair, so feel pretty okay about this. I would rate it about a four and a half out of five stars like it did what it had to do the smell. It smells really really sweet, but i don't think i'm a fan of it like after i smelled it for a long time. I don't think i'm a fan of it, but it smells good, but i don't think i can continue to keep on smelling that like a lot, so i don't know, but i would use it again like if it's in my little in my bathroom i would reach For it, um this mask is the star of the show, because the mask at first i was like three minutes. I don't feel like it's going to do anything for my hair and then, when i put it on my hair, i was like. Oh my god. This is so soft, but i'm still skeptical because i was like oh no, it's gon na feel soft, while it's in my hair, but after that it's not gon na feel soft anymore. When i rinse it out and then my hair is gon na be back hard and then i'm gon na have to deep condition again with a different conditioner, but my hair still feels good still feels good feels. Like really really soft and, like i said, i feel like using this in the shower - it'll be top tier top tier because i feel like using any shower with your hair soaking wet and got all the steam and it'll be able to penetrate low porosity hair. Very, very well, so this one yeah yeah, i like it. I rate this five out of five five out of five, because you know i know some people. They do not like long wash days and i feel like if you use this product as your deep conditioner. It will shorten your wash day, buy a lot like. You only need three minutes, and it does what it has to do. So. I feel like this could help a lot of people and i highly recommend you try it so like. If you can, if you only want to get one product out of the product both of the products, i would definitely definitely recommend the uh mask or deep conditioner, because i feel like i have better shampoos that i could use like the ones from shea moisture. I love them the ones from mountain washer. I love them, they are around the same price. You know i highly recommend you try out the mess because, like i said, only seven dollars, you only need to leave it on your hair. For three minutes sounds like a win-win to me. You know, and i was able to detangle my hair when my hair was really really tangled coming out of a wash and go. You know so i feel like this is a wig that product i don't know what they did to it, but it's amazing um yeah.
