Hello hi welcome back to my youtube channel thing. I'Ll, see him to begin a lot of questions lately about my hair, so I figured we could do a video to update what kind of like well products. I'Ve been using with styling all that stuff to maintain healthy hair and a zero-waste lifestyle, so yeah, let's get into the routine first and then I'll talk about hair growth snips. If that interests you at all so first off my shampoo and conditioner. Both of these guys, you know my shampoo, which I actually, coincidentally, just opened a new one the other day, so I kept the wrapper. I use the gel liggett's tea tree and hemp shampoo. It'S this little block right here. The reason I like this one is because it's really gentle on my scalp I've always had issues with having an itchy scalp, because I have support dermatitis, which is something that I've been working on curing through, like my diet and lifestyle factors. But in the meantime, I had a really hard time finding a shampoo bar that really worked for me just because my scalp was super sensitive, so I started using this one last year and I loved it a friend. That'S really, gentle on my scalp. I was looking for something specifically that had tea tree and hemp in it and I do enjoy it very much. There was something else that I wanted to say about it. It'S gon na come to me, but the thought just escaped my mind, so we're gon na move on the conditioner that I use. So I no longer use that jungle conditioning bar that I had mentioned in my first haircut haircare video, but I did an entire separate video of me trying various different zero-waste conditioners and this one was far superior. Not only was it far superior to the other options. Dare I say it: this is the best conditioner I've ever used in my entire life. It keeps my curls really. I don't really have curls, I have like waves, but it keeps my waves really defined, which I really love. This is by a newer company called Bar. None which, by the way I did get an email back from. If you watch that conditioner video, I got an email back from the come from bright and BarNone is a subset of their founders, like company she's, getting more passionate about zero-waste. So she kind of started her own, like baby project on the side, which is bar none and they make cereal waste products, which is awesome. If you are gon na pick this up at Ulta, I suggest looking in the two little like travel bars, not travel bars, but you know those bars who I should remember what this is called. I used to work there so bad those two little kiosk things by the checkout of like little tiny things to grab that's where those are usually located. So if you have an Ulta near you Bar None, but I will link it down below. If you want like more info about this, however, I don't think it's available anywhere other than the US and Australia right now, at least from what I know of, but you might be able to google it and find it somewhere in your country too. So that's what I use in the shower. I don't use the scalp conditioning rinse anymore, just because I feel like since I've made changes in my diet and stuff with my support dermatitis. I don't really need it anymore. It does kind of sit there and every once in a while I'll use it just cuz, I'm like well, I don't use this in awhile, but I don't find that I need it anymore. So I'm not gon na include it in this video and then once I get out of the shower, I have two different hair styling products that I use on my hair is wet. This is the same DIY wave spray that I mentioned in my last video. So all it is, is water and a little bit of an old gel, but truthfully I don't even think you need to put the gel in. I think that, what's nice about getting my hair to like its desired wave, the thing that I think is key in this is just the water. Usually. What I do is I get out of the shower and I just take my towel I'll wrap it on my head. I put some clothes on and then I come back. I take the towel off and I will dry it a little bit more, which isn't very good for your hair, because, if you're using a cotton towel, it strips out moisture from your hair by the way but like I still do it and know that I shouldn't Be but still do it I'll towel dry, it a little bit and then scrunch it with my hands. I kind of flip my head upside down and just scrunch it, and then I spray this on, and I think the reason that I need some sort of spray is just you're reintroducing some moisture at the same time as you scrunching it and styling it, and that Allows what's already kind of dried in place at a different position that allows it to kind of reposition itself and just get into its more natural, like put-together state, I'm almost out of this and I'm gon na try just using it with water and the reason I'm Saying that is because what I use to hold everything in place is my flaxseed gel, and this is the exact same thing as a regular hair gel. So that's what I'm saying you don't really need like water and gel together. You can just use the flax gel on its own. I no longer put it in that, like tub that I had in the last video and I don't put any oil or anything into it, either anymore, but what I did for this is I just ups. I killed my old face lotion jar. This was the OCI atmosphere, protection cream. I was want to say protection program, but its protection cream. I love this lotion so much, and I had my last one sitting around and I decided to put my flax gel in that and it works out so well because the pump helps you get things into the palm of your hand a little bit better. I just found when I have that tub, because it's so gloopy if you've ever tried it, and you know what I'm talking about it's so gloopy that, like you, put your hand in and it just falls right through. I just find that having it on a pump helps a lot so yeah all you need to make. This is some water and some bulk flax seeds I'll leave a link down below to a diagram that I found on Pinterest, which is where I got the recipe from that is really helpful. All I do to make this is I put about a cup of water into a pot, and I let it boil, and then I add some flax seeds in there about a teaspoon, maybe a little bit more than a teaspoon, and I wait until it boils down To a thick goopy gel, then I just put it into my bottle and I keep it in the fridge and I'll just grab it right before I jump into the shower, I put it in my room and then that way it's there when I got out of The shower I don't have to like run down to my fridge. It usually lasts about a week and I've been making that every week. However, I learned recently that you can add grapefruit seed extract to it and it'll keep for up to three months. So I think I'm gon na try that whenever I can get my hands on some great grape seed extract and I'll, let you know how it goes Suns kind of going down, so I'm gon na turn. My light on is that too much? Is that too bright? Then, once I'm out of the shower, I just put these two in I'll scrunch it around a little bit, and then I just let my hair air dry by the way flax seed gel is the best styling cream. I'Ve ever ever used way better than any store-bought. One I love this stuff, it's freaking incredible and all you need is a few minutes. It literally takes like less than three minutes to make, and all you need is a little bit of water and some flax seeds, which I get in bulk and you're good to go now, I'm out of the shower, my hair is still damp and what I do, How I get my bangs to be a little bit more swoopy, because, if not, if not they'll dry completely, just like square off my face, and I prefer them to kind of like hang there a little bit more they're a little bit long right now, I actually Meant to cut them a little bit shorter, I'm going to go in and see my hairdresser and she's gon na trim them up a little bit, but what I do I just keep some bobby pins in this little thing, so I don't do some you've been following Me for a while or if you follow me on Instagram, then you know what I'm about to show you, because I do it all the time, I'm always snap, storing or something well. My hair is still drying, but what I do is I take four bobby pins and I'll. Pin each side kind of like this I'll put one pin right there and then I grab the tail end of the bags and I pull them back a little bit more and I put another one in the in the back and just make sure that the tip Here like right, where your part is, is like angled inward and then I do it on the other side too, and I let my hair dry like that - and this just means that I don't have to use a blow dryer, so my hair can air dry. I don't have to put heat on it and it's more zero-waste anyways and then once my hair has air dry I'll, just add a couple of drops of oil. This is the same oil. I use as my makeup remover. So it's kind of double double purpose, but I'll just take a couple drops of that and like a really tiny amount, less than a dime and I roll it in between my hands and I'll just kind of like place it wherever. I feel like it's a little bit frizzy and that way it kind of just like tames it a little bit you can use whatever oil you have whatever is convenient for you. This is literally grapeseed oil from the grocery store, like the oil aisle. When you buy cooking oil, that's what this is, I'm not using that out of preference, it's just oil that I happen to have. You could literally use anything. That'S on your kitchen or an oil that works for your hair type. That'S all! I do on a regular basis and then I'll share with you guys. I have like three other things that I'll use from time to time. So these are the two things that I use when I want to have better second day hair, if I'm sleeping at a friend's or I just don't feel like showering or whatever I don't wash my hair every day. By the way, I only wash my hair every second day, I'm trying to make it every three days, but right now it kind of tends to be every second day. Sometimes, every three days and on the days in between I kind of just like rinse it with some water and call it a day. This is my random little auction of water and a couple of drops of just in a sense, essential oil that I had that. I like the scent of so what I do with this is on day two I'll, just like spruce, sprin, sputters, spritz, spritz, spritz I'll, just spritz, my hair, just to kind of like wake up my waves again, so that it's not just so like bed heady. It'S not the best solution; sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't, but it seems to get the job done. It seems to kind of like refresh my hair a little bit so that it's not super messy, and then this is my little mixture of dry shampoo. I just put it into an old spice jar, which is really nice oops we're doing really nice because it has the like sprinkle feature of it all this is, I don't have any exact measurements you can kind of play around with it yourself. It'S corn starch, bentonite clay and some cacao powder, all of which we're just like lying around my house, none of them I bought in bulk. They were just kind of things that were in my house and I already owned. The reason I added cacao powder is just so that it's darker, because I obviously have darker hair and if I was putting a white mystery powder into my hair, then you'd be able to see it and the only reason I used corn starch is because I didn't Have arrowroot powder? I know that near me. If you have access to a PCC like grocery store, I know that they have a bulk arrowroot powder, which is really cool, so yeah. I would recommend switching out cornstarch for arrowroot powder. If you have access it's just like a better thing to put into your hair yeah, this works really well, it seems to absorb the oil. Your hair definitely feels kind of dry when you have it in so I don't try to use it. That often - and you definitely will be walking around smelling, like cacao powder, so be prepared to smell like chocolate everywhere you go, which I guess, isn't totally a bad thing, and somebody on instagram recently told me that they'll put their dry shampoo in the night before they're. Going anywhere so that way it kind of has time to like get in there and it's not so dry feeling, and you can't see it, and so I thought that was a really good tip that I would share. I do find it works really. Well, it absorbs the oils you heard some super greasy and gross. It was a good little DIY find and then the last thing is coconut oil, I'll put different oil masks on from time to time. I actually haven't done this in months and I to get back into my routine of oil masking, but you guys know I'm super into them. I found that using an oil mask just helps to keep your hair hydrated keeps moisture in so that it doesn't dry out over a longer period of time. I don't think they do a lot for improving all our damaged hair, but they'll just keep your hair as healthy as possible for as long as possible. I definitely don't even think you need to go as far as to make my DIY hair mask recipe that I have on my channel. I think that coconut oil works just fine. It works great. If you have super dry hair, though you can go ahead and make my DIY hair mask, but other than that, just using coconut oil seems to work pretty well. Last but not least, a comb is what I use every once in a while when I brush my hair, I don't brush my hair very often, that's for sure. Usually if I haven't showered in a couple days, sometimes you just have a week where you don't shower. For like three or four days, it's usually on those days that I like to brush my hair, because that way I can distribute the oil that's started on my scalp. I can distribute it through the rest of my hair and do that. I will use this bad boy which I had bought at a body shop sometime last year and it works pretty well so yeah, that's my updated haircare routine. I hope this was helpful. Lastly, for the hair growth tips for growing your hair out the things that I found to be really really effective and that I'm bringing back into my life to try and grow my hair out a little bit because didn't it a little bit more than I should Have that I want to do, it looks like fine just because it looks fine, but had it thin twice now, so it just feels like a thinner than it used to be so I want to try and grow it back out. My three big tips are number one: a healthy lifestyle just getting that on the way, but that is gon na, be the best thing for your body, making sure that you're not only getting nutrients but that you're getting sleep, you're drinking enough water, super-important, you're, moving your Body you're getting enough nutrition enough calories and energy to sustain your body, which, unfortunately, I feel like we have to mention in today's diet, culture having a variety of vitamins and minerals, getting your healthy fats in eating lots of protein. All of that good stuff. Second thing is oil masks and using those at the same time as the third tip, which is the inversion method. If you, google, the inversion method, it'll give you tons of information, but it's basically where you flip your head upside down and that rushes the blood to your scalp. If you haven't well masks on at the same time, or even if you don't, you can massage your head and you just sort of hang out there upside down, I usually do it in my room and kind of like stretch at the same time. So I'll go down and touch my toes and just stay down there for like five or six minutes, and you do that every single day for a week once a month, I found it to be actually really effective. It supposedly grows your hair about half an inch longer each month, then it would naturally grow and I definitely recommend trying it out so yeah. That'S my that's my update. It'S what I do to this main on my head and I hope that this was helpful. I hope it encourages you guys to try out some more zero weight swaps. It'S crazy! How much the simple things like things that I didn't think would work. I was so scared to use a shampoo bar. I thought they were kind of weird. It took me a long time to find a good conditioner. I didn't think that using DIY products would be actually effective, but they work just as well as my hair styling products, and not only are they cheaper, but they're better for the planet. At the same time, they're healthier for my hair, because I'm not putting any fillers or alcohols or anything synthetic into my hair, which is wonderful, yeah. I'Ve definitely noticed that over time since I've started to use all natural products, my waves are more pronounced. My hair just feels healthier and better as a whole, not something I noticed right away. It kind of took a couple of years, but my hair hasn't been this wavy since I was in high school. I guess just because I had damaged it from using heat on it for so long and I was using all kinds of synthetic products but yeah anyways. I hope that this is helpful. I hope it encouraged you and I'll talk to you guys in my next video. Don'T forget that all my info and stuff is in the description box down below. If you want to find me in other places, we're gon na listen to my podcast, if you want to get my self care podcasts on patreon, all those good things also should mention that I recently started doing vegan coaching, which is exciting also linked in the description And that's it for me, remember to stay happy, humble and forever compassionate, and I love you guys so so much bye,

Amanda Miranda: OMG I’m so glad to have found your channel. I’ve been trying to make a transition to an eco-friendly lifestyle starting with thrifted clothing but now moving to other aspects of my living.

Daisy E. Johnston: It's so good to see someone else with wavy/curly hair using curly friendly products! Loving it!

Susannah Hilliard: For your wave spray - try adding sea salt to it :) It'll help with the texture and bounce and be more than just water. You can even add a smidge of aloe if you're feeling faaancy. I know you've had seborrheic dermatitis, so IDK if that'll be irritating, but I thought I'd share :) Love your channel, newly subbed!! LOVE the tip of EO water for no wash day refresh - I'm definitely going to try that!

Serein Wu: Purchased the No Bar conditioner thanks to you and LOVE IT! Also I'm sure it's going to last FOREVER!

zafiro80: Your waves are beautiful. The journey you've taken from last year to this year shows your hair curling up well. I've been natural for 2 years now and I finally love my tight coils shaped and defined. Flaxseed gel is amazing!

Samantha Flatt: Thank you for this! I am recently on a journey to bring back my curly hair, but it seemed like I would’ve had to use all whole bunch of products that come in plastic! And I hated that. This gives me hope!

Arianma Correa: Hi Christina, your videos are so helpful, I love them! I recently started using Hair Masks made at home because i've been loosing a lot of hair. My hair is very fragile looking, dry, etc. But these treatments have made a world of difference. However, I can't wait to make a mask you made with Shea Butter, I have never purchased it before. Where can I get real Shea butter? I've heard is not easy to find pure Shea butter because is mixed with other additives. Thank you for you help with this!! :)

Lydia Capuano Donaldson: I love how Christina has said in a few videos how she doesn't shower for 3 or 4 days as if that's a thing we all do. And she doesn't wear deodorant! I shower every day and I still smell. teach me your voodoo magic, Christina!

Sammi Holmes: I watched your conditioner video and now the bar none is my main conditioner! I love it so much. Thank you for all the zero waste recommendations. xx

caramelushca: Your hair is gorgeous!! Has it always been this shiny? I'm so glad you made this video, I've just watched your other 2 hair videos and was full of questions, so this was perfect timing! :) One question, when you use the ACV rinse, do you use it before or after conditioner? Also, I think your curl/wave pattern has been enhanced by having your hair thinned. When I used to have layers in my hair, it would curl much more beautifully than it does now that it's all basically the same length. But I can't put layers in my hair because my hair is so thin. I miss the way my ponytails used to look like with layers, now it looks like an uneven limpy mess when I put my hair up

Erin K: One of the things I found that really helps my hair grow quickly is cayenne pepper. I will mix a little with almond oil or coconut oil and place it at my roots. I do a scalp massage and then use my hair cap (I know its plastic but I got it before I started this lifestyle.. it's lasted for over three years!) which holds in my body heat while I stretch/ do the inversion method. The pepper does not burn my scalp, but I do only use about a 1/4 teaspoon total. My hair is not very thick and never has, but I started to use this treatment when my anxiety caused my hair to stop growing and my hair started to grow nearly an inch per month!

Katie Orf: For dry shampoo I also use an old blush brush to help distribute it. Works so good.

Jennifer Elyse: I would love to see more hair care videos for coloured or previously damaged hair while it’s growing out. It’s been 1.5 years since last bleaching it and it’s a mess and I have to use specific conditioner, so far no natural shampoo or conditioner have worked. I would love for my hair to eventually look like yours again.

Emily Acevedo: Oh this is so helpful! Not only have I been trying to find natural and sustainable hair stuff for like 2 years now but also recently (after 3 kids ) my hair has changed from supper straight to 2a-2b waves like yours and I have no idea what to do with it!

Emily Larson: LOVE these simple and sustainable hair care options! Thank you!! Would you ever make the same kind of video for make up?

Marko Polo: Wanted to say that I've been using a small UK based supplier called AmicaSoap and their products are all vegan, come with the option of 100% recyclable card packaging, the bars themselves are wrapped in recyclable paper, and you can even purchase a travel tin from them to keep the shampoo/conditioner bars in, I've used it more times than I can remember now on my travels and their syndet bars which are NOT made with SLS but other natural ingredients work wonders as I travel through different regions here in the UK with hard water.

A F: I've gotten my hair to the point where it looks clean for a week before it starts to get greasy and gross- I don't use any styling products or conditioner though, so that might be a huge factor. I just use Dr Bronners soap. I have the most laid back haircare routine ever haha Goooood tip on the bangs, omg you're genius

Tori Love: The flax gel works REALLY well for curly and wavy hair! I use it as well and have hair quite a bit curlier than Christie’s (and probably half the length) and it works SO well!!

Angelique Maez: I’m definitely going to go look for the conditioner at Ulta! I am having trouble finding a conditioner bar. I am also doing no fragrances so I hope it doesn’t have any. I just found your channel today and have already watched a few of them! Definitely subscribing

K: I friggin love Chagrin Valley poo bars and JR Liggetts! I used to have crazy dry scalp (used to use suave), and ever since switching to bars my hair and scalp are so much healthier! Also love your wave/curls :) my hair is slightly wavy.

gardehny •: Ahhhhhh I was just at ulta last night and was wondering about bar none but I ended up going with the new shea moisture bars and I was disappointed ☹️ But I have super similar natural hair texture to yours and this was super helpful! Thanks girl!

Elise Paige: I love your hair videos, so glad you made this one. I meant to try the flaxseed gel after the last video you mentioned it in and totally forgot. I’m defiantly going to try it now though! I’m also going to try out the inversion method!

Bonnie Lacey: Looked up that shampoo bar on Amazon and found this amazing company ethique. All the good things, going to have to check them out. Thanks for the tips.

Tori Campbell: I was just starting to look into plastic free hair care! Thank you

Angela Walker: Banana baby food is an awesome conditioner plus you can reuse the jar. I like to blend and double strain my over ripe bananas and freeze them in ice trays. Then I store the cubes in a reusable freezer bag or container. Aloe Vera juice doubles as a toner and hydrating leave-in/reparative treatment. The gel could be used instead of flax.

Alanna: New subscriber here! Your channel was on my explore page & I am interested in all the things you mention at the beginning so here I am! I also have very similar hair, and have been trying to get back my structured curls/waves like i did in high school too. Def gonna try out the flax seed! Question though -- where do you find those little blue bottles you use for your frizz oil and other things?

Areesha Tahnee: I love the body shop shea butter hair mask. It does come in a plastic container but I use that as storage containers and plant pots <3

Isabella King: Ethique has some really great zero waste hair products (shampoo and conditioner bars and concentrates) and all their ingredients are sustainably and ethically sourced if anyone's looking for a good shampoo. They also have a pretty wide range of products for different hair concerns (sensitive scalps, dry hair, oily hair, blonde hair, curly/coily hair) which isn't always the case for zero waste brands so if you haven't found a shampoo bar that works for you they might be worth a try. Not an ambassador or anything, I just ordered some products I love so just wanted to share :)

irisxxxxxx: One tip my hairdresser told me to grow your hair, is a really easy one, but nothing has ever worked better. He says that your hair brakes on your shoulders and at the hight where most chairs end in your back.  It's really hard to get over those two lengths. Whenever your hair is at shoulder-length the ends rush over your clothing whenever you turn your head and that makes them really thin and breaks them. So it's better to keep your hair up till it is a good part over your shoulders, so that it doesn't rush over them as much whenever you turn your head. Then it usually grows really nice till it is at chair-end-length, it breaks the fragile ends every time you hang back on a chair, so you should put your hair up or move it forward till enough of it as reached underneed it and your hair becomes it's own cushion against the chair ;) My mom has never managed to get long hair in her life, she has tried every masker, every pill, every treatment, every diet, nothing works, it never gets over her shoulders, now she started doing this simple ridiculous trick one year ago and her hair is already over her bra in the back! It's insane! So simple and effective and she needs to be 50 for someone to tell her the real key (you do need to hold on to it, almost ALWAYS put your hair up till it's a good part over the shoulders not now and then hehe) Love your video though ❤️ got a lot of nice tips of keeping my hair fairy like ✨

Frivolous Girl: So glad you made this! Been waiting like forever on an update lol I was so interested to see how you get your bangs so swoopy, now I know! Must've missed it on your story or something. You got such beautiful natural hair! In shock that you rarely brush your hair! Mine are also wavy but just above the chest, and it tangles like crazy, so I have to brush/comb it at least once a day. PS Bobby pins should be used with the flat side to the front, that way you don't need to "open" them. I did the same thing for years! We've all been there, but now I can't help but cringe whenever I see someone do'em wrong. xD xx

Chris Johnson: Ordered the conditioner bar and it was delivered with an insane amount of plastic packing. I have messaged Ulta but will have to look elsewhere for this product. Just a heads up since we are all trying to reduce packaging.

Maia White: I just started watching your videos and I've been thinking about this stuff a lot. I'm si glad I stumbled on it. I have a tip for your hair routine. Use a bit of that bar as a leave in raking it through with your fingers. Then use the gel using the praying hands meathod (look it up) then wrap or plop your hair in a cotton t shirt(very important it's cotton and even better if it's long sleeved). Do this for about 15 minutes and take it down and scrunch it out.. add more water in gel if needed but it will probably be fine. Try it out darling I have a feeling you will be surprised!!

Amanda Olivas: I watched your conditioner video and went to try the Bar None one. I love it! It is the best!! I also really love the smell :) thanks for the recommendation!

Mienke: ive been using an all natural shampoo for a couple of months now and it works really well and keeps my hair clean (not sure if its zero waste though...) but the second/third day after washing my hair starts to look greasy again, even though it still feels really clean. i was wondering if you know about anything i can do about this? love your videos a lot :)

NotAnAlien: thank you so much for this! my hair type is fairly similar to yours and I have such a hard time finding zero waste products! many of the other zero waste bloggers I follow have pin straight hair with no texture and I just know that the products they recommend are not going to work for me or anyone with more textured hair

Hongui Two: Amazing video!!!! But I think it doesn't need the background music, is very repetitive and distracting for people with ADD. BUT I seriously love your advises

Lexie Whiting: I have a weird question, how do you feel about amazons shipping methods/do you have any tips for more low waste buying online?

It's Ary: Lush has a naked store in Milan Italy now, and I absolutely love their products, but some can be overpriced.

Megan Mauter: I just bought the bar none conditioner. I cannot wait to try it. hopefully it helps maintain my frizzy hair. Thanks for the video.

Karla Reyes: Your hair is so beautiful!! It looks a lot like my daughter's so I'm excited to try some of this things, maybe make some of that flax gel and semdmit to her to try thanks for all the advice! Can't wait for current products to run out so I can make the transition to plastic free options

Paytons ASMR: I've literally been trying to find hair products to use since I've started transitioning into more low waste. It's hard though because I have super oily hair and I dont really know products that work well with it even when I was using the synthetic crap! This was real helpful though! I know it'll take time to find them but aghhhhhhh

My Imperfect Zero Waste Life: I tried stopping in Ulta because I wanted to try Bar None. Unfortunately, they will no longer be carrying the product. I'm super bummed. I could order online....but I'm trying to find an option that doesn't involve ordering online.

The Sustainable Doula Abby: I have the same scalp condition! I must dig through your channel now

Allayna Nicole: Hey, Just discovered your channel the other day and I'm loving your content. It's refreshing, inspiring and you have a very calm vibe! I do have a question - Brite Organix (Bar None) also sells a Hydrating Shampoo Bar. Have you tried their shampoo bar? I have eerily similar hair to yours - texture, length and amount of hair and I'm curious whether or not it's worth the purchase. By the way - to all Canadian subscribers, you can purchase Bar None products at Urban Outfitters online. Strangely enough, I've found some amazing products not sold in Canada through sites with beauty sections you wouldn't think of - like Urban Outfitters, Zara etc.

Lc Cruise: Just found your channel. Love it! New sub here! Oh by the way, i have the same hair type as you and i only wash my hair once a month, BUT i condition it everyday. Its the only thing tht has made my scalp less itchy. Good luck on your hair journey.

Jen Edge: One way to decrease the amount you wash your long hair is to sleep in satin cap. I find it more comfortable because my hair is very long and it keeps my hair up off my neck and back. It comes out of cap looking nice with non frizzy waves. I end up just using wide tooth comb and sometimes a spritz of water depending on what's going on that day. I try to do every 3rd day wash, but it varies. I'm still using bottle shampoo, but I'm looking to make that change to bar.

Alysia Wilford: Can u do a zero waste for feminine hygiene??

Nika: I love relaxing w your videos, they are so calm and informative and amazing.. does not matter the subject its just your voice that is so calming. I have this kind of "power" i like to call it (although i dont want to have it so its a unwanted power but yea) to see positivity or negativity in people in a second. Like i really cant stand the people that are negative in my opinion its like they have sooo much minus symbols over their heads. Buttt youuu, you are covered with plus symbolss and positive and i love it so much you have no idea❤️❤️❤️❤️ lol this is weird imma stop... but ily

alisha grezlik: I always love your hair tips! I love your hair I wish mine looked like that!

Kelsey: First time to your channel, just wanted to say that you seem like you have fully come into your own, and that is so sexy. I have curly hair as well and I am working on my confidence all around, great motivation to see the difference between showing up as yourself versus hiding. Thanks :) Sidenote: where is your top from here? It's lovely.

chloe cordoza: I would love it if you did a video talking about supplements for a vegan diet but sustainable :) I always seem to struggle taking the liquid vitamins that come in glass bottles and don’t want to take the ones that come in plastic particularly. I’d love to know what you do :)

Raquel Hernández Parada: I'd love to know about those changes in your diet to deal with dermatitis. I struggle a lot with it! great vid

Isabel Sendra: What do you do with the flaxseeds once you’ve used it to make the gel?

María Rojas: Hi christina ! I would like to have your advice about no shampoo method. Ive been reading a lot and I found that some people had issues after years of no washing their hair (like hairloss) I recently stared my transition but im a little bit worried, is that true? can you help me with that

Jennifer Shay: You can also use activated charcoal in your dry shampoo to make it darker

Shelby: Such a helpful video! I have the same texture as you so I’m super thankful haha✨you have a total goal mane!

caroline norton: Use a tshirt to dry your hair and scrunch out the excess water with a microfiber towel trust me its so much better

Annika: Bar None is at Urban Outfitters! They've been sold out on their own website for a while. They sell their bar shampoos/conditioners at UO and their aluminum bottles at Ulta

Lee: Using a cotton tshirt to dry your hair is not as damaging! And its easy to tie with the sleeves :) (I'm literally typing this while my hair is wrapped up in a tshirt) ;)

KatanaSkye: What were the changes you made to your diet to help with your seborreahic (?) dermatitis? I have it as well and even using the extra strength (in the store blue bottles) doesn't seem to keep the irritation on my scalp at bay. :(

Whitney Allan: I've heard that bentonite clay has trace amounts of lead, so I'm hesitant to use it as a dry shampoo. Just curious if anyone else has checked into this?

Krysta Sites: You can leave dry shampoo in your hair overnight and blow dry it away in the morning. It's my go to for crunch times when I don't want to shampoo. I have severe seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp. I also put tea tree on my scalp overnight once a week to help kill the itch and fungus. Rinse out with tepid water. I like your hair growth tips thank you.

Nanoulandia: Your hair looks great. I need to go back to the Liggets shampoo and try that conditioner bar!

Celedongirl: I recently made the switch to bar shampoo wich I am loving, but I was hesitant to try bar conditioner. I definately want to try it now Thanks to your video!

Morning Marjolaine: I've been searching and trying SO MANY shampoo bars and never felt satisfied. I will give this one a try! Thank you so much love! Just subscribed to your video and I'd love to have your feedback on my last video about lion breath! I think you will enjoy the lion and curly vibes! xo

Piper Hensley: Just wanted to point out that I found the shampoo bar for about half the price on an app called IHerb, I highly recommend!!

xShirubiax: Thank you for this great video! How long does it take for your hair to air dry? Just went to the hair dresser to get a haircut because it took too long to air dry them. I don't have that much hair so i don't get why it takes so long.

Leah Skinner: I watched your conditioner video and ran to Ulta and bought like 4 of the BarNone bars and I LOVE it!

Maritza Gutierrez: Has anyone with straight hair tried the after shower product with the flax seed? And if so, did it work?

Ivy Pellerin: It took a while to get used to but ive gotten where i only wash my hair once a week. I can go longer because it doesnt get oily but a week is the most confortable.

Jennifer Elyse: I do the dry shampoo the night before so that when I wake up it’s the perfect texture.

Vadims Felzenbahers: The best zero waste shampoo i have tried is rye flour. So simple, but so effective. And it takes only unnecessary oils from your hair (it doesn't mean your hair looks and feels greasy tho). So yeah, i recommend to try it out and see how it works for you guys^^

Living Unjaded: I've been trying to find a natural hair gel but maybe I'll try to DIY the flax seed gel instead! So happy you mentioned it

Florencia Tamanini: Do you know how many drops of the grapefruit seed oil we have to add to make it ? Thanks!! I can’t wait to try it!!!!

Gissel: I’ve been wearing my natural hair without heat for a about 8-9 months. The problem is that the top of it gets really frizzy. How long does it take to go back to normal? I keep getting tempted to flat iron it just to remedy the frizz. I only wash once a week. Please help and advise. I eventually want to not shampoo like some people do. I only use natural hair products.

cherryj7: What other shampoos from that brand did you try? What didn't you like/ what do you like better about the tea tree & hemp? I was just about to order from them!

Jennifer P: Yay! Thank you for the tips!

Melodie 33: I loove your videos soo much!! Please never stop posting❤❤❤

Michelle B: Hi! I wanted to let you know the bar none conditioner is priced at $12, not 6. No biggy but in case you wanted to make a note or something.

Hippie in High Heels: My hair is a lot curlier than yours and I’m still trying to figure it out since I’ve only begun to wear it natural a year ago but this video is quite helpful. Have you tried making your own „hair gel“ using flaxseed? Edit: I should watch the whole video before commenting. You already did make flaxseed gel.

semoremo: 10:32 I usually use talcum (is that how you call it?? The powder thing you put on babies' bums) as dry shampoo and put it on the night before so I can remove the excess in the morning. I think you can also add the cacao powder so that it doesn't look that white

Crystal Croft: I just saw you on a video with Shelby and subscribed! As I was watching that video I kept saying that your hair was so beautiful and I wondered what you used on it! So glad I found this and a new person to follow on YouTube!

Nina H: The only product I use is the Lush Jason and the argon oil shampoo bar! Works perfectly for my hair and I only wash once a week

Gloriya Luptacikova: so helpful! thank you!

Julia Lumina: I love all your videos, they're so good.

Vaish Siva: Hey, I love your videos! I was just wondering if still need to refrigerate the flax seed gel if you added grape seed extract to it?

Yvonne Villapudua: Have you tried the aluminum bottle that Ulta now offers for Bar None hydrating conditioner? If so, is it comparable to the conditioner bar? Thanks

lilmizzfizzy: You can just freeze the flax seed gel in a icecube tray and then just defrost some each week!

Ariana Cruz: I just got the bar none shampoo and conditioner! They were at the little kiosk :)

Ofri Mayer: Where do you get the tin container that fits the shampoo bar? ♥️

cherriesllol: Can the flax seeds then be used for food, after they're strained?

Laura Holland: Ecoslay Orange Marmalade is a great option if people don’t want to make their own flaxseed gel

M: Have you tried using aloe in the place of hair gel?

DrBratney: Thanks so much making this video!!

Margaret Hruschka: Can you do a video on how to use the shampoo and conditioner bars?

Emily Richelle: has anyone tried the flax gel with the grape seed oil ? does it preserve it ?

Mea: Have you talked about seborrheic dermatitis lately in a video concerning diet and stuff? I've had it for about 15 years, tried everything over the counter, prescription, some natural stuff and nothing seems to even keep it at bay for a few days. I was wondering if there's a certain way I could eat to heal it tho?

Kay Sanders: Cotton is great for hair or actually seals in moisture

Ana Brotherton: Do you have any tips or recommendations on zero waste soaps for the body? DIY’s, body washes etc.

Daniel Hernández: I watched the video from beginning to end. I enjoy your presence :)
