What'S up guys good morning or afternoon it's morning for me, I want you to a quick follow-up from my last video. What was all about what's going on with coconut oil and my hair and why I stopped using it. So I'm really happy that I was able to make that video. I'M really happy to learn that I am not the only one I knew I wasn't doing going through. I just didn't know how many of you guys were out there who can't use coconut oil too. So I want to talk to you guys about what I'm currently using for my hair, because that was like the biggest follow-up question for my videos. What are you using now is actually pretty simple fix to just remove coconut oil from my routine, especially because I make a lot of DIYs and I am in control of my own ingredients. So, honestly, just removing coconut oil is really really easy, but I can understand a lot of you guys who don't use a lot of DIY products and you like to do store-bought products having a more difficult time with this. I have also been experimenting with store-bought products too, so yeah. I can actually talk about more than just what oils I'm using in place of at the end of the day. Sometimes you just want to use a nice store-bought product. You know you don't want to DIY everything all the time it bees like that, so I have been just trying out different things and just kind of figuring it out. So with that being said, most of what I'm going to show you our deep conditioners, these are simply just products that I have used since finding out that my hair doesn't like coconut oil, and I like them and/or, I feel comfortable recommending them because it worked well For my hair, I also to point out that a lot of these conditioners have cetyl alcohol in them, which is a fatty alcohol. It helps to moisturize your hair. Many detangling products contain cetyl alcohol. So you know alcohol is a derivative of coconut oil, which is very interesting because my hair hates the pure coconut oil, but it does not mind Sita alcohol, so just putting that out there. If you're like me - and you can still use pseudo alcohol, then these products will work really well for you all right, so I'm going to start with actually the shampoos that I'm using um. This is a staple. It'S always going to be. A staple of mine is my DIY african black soap. I don't have any because it's the DIY, but it's a really easy DIY. It'S really really really really good for your scalp. It feels amazing going on. I just really love my DIY shampoo. Obviously, it's coconut free because you control the ingredients. It'S a DIY, I'm sure it's really easy for you to find a sham without coconut oil in it just a case. I'M also going to share with you one more that is over the catalogs now over the counter. They get to order online, but hello. This will be in my favorite products, video, because it's so good. This is from Amica. Amiga is the bomb you guys should definitely try them out. It'S not 100 % natural, though it does have Dometic own in it, as well as some other questionable items. I did not actively pick this up. This is one of the products that sent to me. I just had to pull the shampoo, because I was just too lazy to make my DIY black soap and I love it. It'S not fully natural, but for those of you who don't care about that, this is a product that does not have coconut oil. It'S a great shampoo in it. It just feels very luxurious on my hair. It just smooths the curls to my head. It feels really silky, they feel very moisturized. I can even slightly detangle if I wanted to and when I rinse it out. It just feels very, very clean and light it's a great product. I don't even think I told you the name of the shampoo, it's called the Amika triple x. Shampoo is amazing. I have to recommend it, even though it's not natural, but it's good. Oh, you know what I should've did pre-poo if I am pre pooing, if you guys are familiar with my 25-minute co-wash. That was just like my Saviour. I love that so much. It used coconut oil and a conditioner, and I will of course, link that also, and everything is going to be linked in the description box, why I used a lot of coconut oil, so obviously I'm not using coconut oil. If I pre-poo now, I will go immediately. First, to sweet almond oil: it's just very light on your hair and its really great detangler. So I really like sweet almond for a pre-poo or, if I'm not using sweet almond I'll, also grab an avocado. Oil is a little bit of a heavier oil, but it's really moisturizing as well and also obviously there's a lot of slip. So it's really great for detangling. So if I'm going to pre-poo, I've been really loving, the sweet almond oil or an avocado oil just use one of the other. Obviously coconut oil is like the best detangler ever, but these do a pretty darn good job conditioner. So one thing that has not changed is my tea tree. Tinkle, I'm going to be talking about this to the end of time, like teacher tingle has to really mess up for me to stop using this. It'S inexpensive, it works. He tangles I mean I was so happy to learn that there is no coconut oil in the tea tree, tingle conditioner, it does have cetyl alcohol. But again my hair does not respond negatively to sit. Although you have a Trader Joe's near you, it's like $ 4.99. It'S so cheap, no coconut oil, another conditioner that I've tried. That is just like it's okay, so many people told me about Lloyd ad, so I really wanted to try it like something from Lloyd. I got this from Ulta, it's their curl quencher moisturizing conditioner. The top is off because I used it all. I picked this up because this one's for tight curls and I like it, it does its jobs. It like a super detangler. I wouldn't say so: it's a very good product. It'S just it didn't. Allow me, for whatever reason I don't know it, wasn't something that was like. Oh my god, I got to tell the world about it, but it did work. It doesn't have coconut oil in it. There'S city roll I'll, go home yeah! That'S the second ingredient didn't well me, but it's good. I actually wonder how many of the products in my favorite products, video that I don't currently have on hand right now contain coconut oil in them any product that currently don't have on hand right now that I have used and like that, don't have coconut oil in It I'm gon na actually list those in the description box below pictures that I literally went through my shower and picked up what I currently have. I have three deep conditioners that I have tried and liked. I tried all three of these pretty much out of desperation. Trying to find something quick at my local stores that don't have coconut oil in it. The first one I'll share with you is from shea moisture. It is the deep treatment mask with seek help and argan oil for dry damaged, hair. You guys have probably seen this. Can get it at your Louisville target head your local Sally's Beauty Supply? It was a pretty pure over-the-counter product, which is one of the reasons why I picked it up. I will say that it did not while me in the detangling department - and I put it on it's very thick. So it's not one of those ones. That kind of like glide, through your hair and like separate, and do all that you kind of put it on and work it in and like use the water to like get it through. But it does what it's supposed to do and it doesn't have coconut oil or acetyl alcohol in it. So that is a great plus. This is the raw shank Apple wasu for his defense hair mask. I love copper wasu butter, so I was really excited when I saw this. There'S no coconut oil and this, but this product is just a really great overall deep conditioner softens my hair, it's a decent detangler as well. So yeah. I had a really positive experience with this and again no coconut oil, so the next one is something that I found at my local Sally beauties. I wanted to find something that might have a bit more slip. I came across pure oils by silk elements. It is their intense conditioning and hydration mass the agreeance. This is actually pretty natural on this, so I was actually really impressed. I decided to pick it up, there's no coconut oil in it and it worked really really really really really well a lot of slip. It'S really moisturizing and my hair really responded well to it. I haven't really done too an intricate hairstyle since learning that my hair doesn't like coconut oil. So I only have a few stylers to show you mostly for wash and gos for, like a twist out or something like that. I'Ve been using my DIY mango butter a lot. This jar is almost done, so it doesn't look so pretty, but I have a DIY recipe on how I make this mango butter, it's mango and cop glass. It'S extremely moisturizing. It softens my hair really well and again I control what goes into it does not have any coconut oil. I still have a ton of shea butter that has coconut oil in it, and I haven't been using that for obvious reasons. But I wanted to try making something that was a little bit lighter and seeing how my hair responds to it. And this mango butter has just really been amazing, like my hair, loves this stuff, so I'll use on my washing go. I also will twist my hair with the mango butter. I use it in the exact same ways that I use my shea butter. Of course, the link to how I make that will be in the description box as well. You don't like to DIY. I would suggest the Camaro's naturals almond eye twisting butter. My hair really likes this butter. It doesn't have coconut oil in it. It does a really great job at softening my hair and adding some really great definition. To my twist outs again from Camille Rose. Naturals is the curl of moisture milk. This is a lighter version of the twisting butter. In my opinion, you can use it for twisting. You can use it for a washing go there's so many different applications that this works for it's also just a great sealant. If you want to just slap it on there, so these two products, you can actually shoot to get at Target. That'S where I got mine. Every purchase these already once this is like the second container of each. I haven't really been using them lately, but they both don't have coconut oil in them and I think they will work across the board for most people's hair. Oh it's hot! So that's it! I know that I got a lot of questions regarding what I use. I hope this video helped again I'll link everything that I talked about in the description box below i'm also gon na link anything that i didn't talk about that. I love that does not have coconut oil but yeah. As always. I hope that this video was helpful and I'll see you the next one.

Melanie Alyssa: As someone with natural hair who's allergic to coconuts, thank you so much for this video.

Marriage & Motherhood: Love your hair! I'll have to try some of these products. Thanks for sharing!

kandiekj100: it's too bad that shea moisture doesn't have more products that do not contain coconut oil. They really should think about tapping into that market. They have so many lines already , what's a few more lines that don't contain coconut oil.

Jeanette Turner: Most of the products you recommended have these two ingredients in them Cocamidopropylamine oxide and Cocamidopropyl Betaine and are also derived from coconut oil. If an ingredient begins with coca it's coconut oil based.

Bel Jones: So glad that you are showing products without coconut oil because they are very hard to find. I am also allergic to shea butter and most products have that in them. I spend more time reading labels than shopping. The struggle is so real.

meganjerai: Whitney, I stopped using coconut oil after your video as an experiment and let me just say thank you! My hair looks and feels so much better! And no more breakage!

The Jazzy Nation: Great product recommendations. I've been allergic to coconut oil for years so I feel your pain. I just ordered a bunch of new coconut free products so I'm excited to try them out. I also need to try your mango butter recipe, I know my hair will just eat that up! thanks for the vid Whitt .

Heather Leigh: Thank you SO much for this! My MIL is a recent transitioning natural and she is allergic to coconut so this was a huge help to her!

Faith: I bought the almond jai twisting butter and the moisture milk yesterday and they work soooo good. Especially together. Great combo!

Jacqueline Zanders: Since I'm early, I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the tips over the years, Whitney! I've been following your videos since high school, when I finally decided to go natural due to the horrible damage that perms were causing. Now I'm in college and more happy with my natural curls than ever! Keep doing what you do! :D

angelfaye101: it's crazy that my hair went from loving coconut oil to absolutely hating it. it was such a huge staple in my hair regimen that I ended up going back to purchasing store bought products. so crazy that others are going through the exact same thing!

Asabi Goodman: Hey, Whitney! I just want to say thank you for all of your videos! I've been following you for just over a year now and have learned so much. I really had no clue how to look after my hair and just thought that it wasn't capable of growing, so I never paid attention to it. A friend introduced me to your channel and I have to say, my mind was blown! I now make all of my own products, try new protective styles, and for the first time in my life, my hair is shoulder length. Overall, I just love how healthy it is. So, again, thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Ashley Pollock: Thanks so much for this and the previous video! I have been going through the exact same thing since I decided to start wearing hijab earlier this year. The levels of exposure to and moisture in my hair had changed shortly after and coconut went from being my hair's best friend to worst nightmare. I kind of figured it had something to do with the oil, but your previous video definitely confirmed it. So informative. Thanks, Whitney!

J D.: I've noticed that coconut oil caused me to break out really bad. I already have hormonal cystic acne and I used to use coconut oil to take of my makeup but it my my skin go nuts. so glad I got to of coconut oil

Iclabon72: Love you Whitney! Ive recently just kind of fallen out of love with coconut oil anyway. Id been using a coconut conditioner that was just ok, not great, and then a few weeks ago I ended up trying an argan oil conditioner for my cowashing instead, and its been like magic for my hair. Soft, silky, manageable hair that holds its curl pattern and hangs well because im also only cowashing now and using an easy olive oil sealer i still have left over. I think argan might be that magic oil everyone's looking for. I couldnt recommend it more.

Vernetia H.: Hey Nap! This info about the alternative products has been awesome. My daughter had a similar experience. I also noticed her hair sheds less if kept straight with a weekly flat iron. Go figure! Anyway, I noticed you don't use Olive Oil, is there a reason why? Appreciate you and take care!

Ashley Glover: @naptural85 I just wanted to say thank you so much! About a month ago I was going through the same issues you were with my scalp. It felt like I had open sores and my hair itched so much! But after watching your videos and removing coconut oil my hair has improved! Thank you so much!

LuClu81: Thanks for this follow up video. After seeing your initial and hearing your issues I stopped using coconut oil. I have not had any pimples on my scalp or soreness and my hair feels much better. I do DIY shea butter without coconut oil and it's great

Rose Demure: OMG! Congrats Nap85! I just saw you in a Shea Moisture commercial. I love to see women advance, especially doing what they love. Kudos

J_Khaliah: Thank you sooo much! I just recently discovered I'm allergic to coconut oil but I found out from using it on my body. I developed eczema on my arms and I also noticed I couldn't use Cantu products anymore. I removed coconut oil from my daily routine and my arms cleared up instantly!

Dominique with a QUE: This was definitely helpful! My hair doesn't like coconut oil either, and I have been trying to find products to use without coconut oil. Thanks, Whitney! :)

Gloria Ann: Your hair looks gorgeous! I totally see the difference. Thank you so much for this ❤️❤️❤️

Cynthia Melendez: I appreciate this video because I feel like my hair has not been responding to coconut oil well and you showing some products without it is very helpful. Love all your videos!

LaToya Forever: It was so good to see you at Beautycon! Keep up all the amazing work!! Love always!

Janeen Lewis: just wanted to give you a suggestion when using the SM Deep treatment masque. I didn't like it either when I first started using it. that line is pretty thick actually. BUT my fellow non coconut users, if you add SM olive and green tea bath, body, and massage oil the slip in the mask is off the chain! Any olive oil helps but I like using the body oil because it's all natural and there are 5 oils in one. With vitamin E and tea tree. I know it may sound crazy but that is the only way I can use the masque and my kinky hair loves it. I hope you try this out.

BMAC ATTACK: Been watching you for a while now, so glad you highlighted the Camille Rose, and Almond oil replacement...these have been game changing hair improvements for me. I joined the non-coconut oil regime after I noticed extreme itching after about a week or so of twists. And once I switched over to the almond oil and Camille products...my hair has literally never been the same. Almost no shedding, not tangles, and a softness for weeks. Thanks for the years of knowledge .

kinkytopDee: Wow, thank you so much for this video! My hair will not do coconut oil either! Thanks for showing or mentioning the hair products that don't have coconut oil in them. So glad to know my hair is not the only hair that doesn't do coconut oil. Your hair is gorgeous by the way. Thank you for this awesome video and please keep them coming. I think we need a reality show for naturalista's or at least a talk show with products, problems, style advice, how to start your natural hair journey etc....

MsRoRo: Great video Whitney. I've never been a fan of coconut oil because I thought it was too heavy. I prefer grape seed oil (as a stand alone). It's lighter and my hair & skin love it.

Lingua Nigra Jewelry Channel: yeah girl, that co co oil is no joke. It took me years to realize that I was super allergic. My scalp was always in large chunks and burned and sensitive. I'm trying out sesame oil right now and so far I love it. I'm also allergic to almond and castor oil. Sigh. Good luck boo!

Tyjanaei: Your hair honestly looks so different (In a good way) since you've stopped using coconut oil. Also you're one of my favorite youtubers❤

Ken Wins: Been thinking about trying the frizz defense line from shea moisture since it doesn't have coconut oil so I'm glad you had a good experience with it. I hope I have a good experience too. Great video and info.

Booking Jourdan: I cannot get over how gorgeous your hair is looking!!! And years ago you got me on the Tea Tree tingle...and still using it til this day!

Krimsun 622: My hair does fine with coconut oil, but it's not my favorite. I will say though...that pure oils hydration masque is LIFE. I wish I had it when I was transitioning. The price, the slip, the smell, the moisture! I recommend it to everyone who will listen lol I look forward to seeing more updates as you discover more coconut oil free products. Your hair looks great.

Krimsun 622: My hair does fine with coconut oil, but it's not my favorite. I will say though...that pure oils hydration masque is LIFE. I wish I had it when I was transitioning. Your hair looks great.

Flowing Love: Girl, your hair is everything haha. thanks for the update. I hope Coconut oil doesn't turn against me as well

Myrian B: Hey Nap. I'm having trouble getting the top of my hair back thicker. I believe it started thinning due to stress. I can't use essential oils because I'm sensitive to them. I'm using castor oil but it's not growing as quick as I would like. Any other suggestions. Thank you. Btw, I love you Nap.

MoonTrees: Omg thank you for this. It’s so hard to find products without coconuts in them. it’s everywhere.

Jazmin Jordan: Great video! My hair loves coconut oil, but I use some products that don't have this ingredient in them. My hair doesn't care for SheaMoiature Deep Treatment Masque now that it is healthy now. The last time that I used the two Camille Rose Naturals products you mentioned was last winter, and I might have to pull them back out soon.

My Finland Story: Currently experimenting with avocado oil right now. Also I have heard alot about Giovanni products and will definitely try that. Btw, your hair is slaying.

Resabout B.: Made me smile when you called Ouidad "Oydad." I've always called it "Wee-dad" because "oui" ("yes") is pronounced "wee" in French. Truthfully, I don't know it's correct pronunciation! It's just what *I've* always said, and to hear someone say it differently (I repeat) made me smile!" Have you ever used any "Mixed Chicks" products?

Michel Celestine: Just picked up Camille Rose Twisting Butter, so I will see how that works for me! Thank you for sharing EVERYTHING from beginning to end (pre-poo, shampoo, deep conditioning, styler)!!! That really helps, because it does seem like more and more products are including coconut oil as one of the main ingredients. Thanks a bunch!

Naptural85: Hey Guys!! Still pretty new at this no-coco oil regimen, but the top question from my last video was, "So, what are you using now!?" So I grabbed all the items that I've liked so far, since I stopped using coconut oil, and I'm showing you in this video! Not all of these are staples, but they're things that have worked well! I hope it helps!! Xo!!

boho_sol: So I was having a lot of hair breakage this summer, and after I watched your last video, I decided to do an experiment and switch from using coconut oil to olive oil. No breakage. None. All I get is a little shedding. I'm still salty about it because I paid goooood money for a bottle of cold-pressed, extra-virgin, unrefined, organic, all the adjectives coconut oil to use on my hair. Thankfully I can use it for other stuff, but I feel betrayed.

Antoinette Minor: I'm allergic to nuts so I completely understand your struggle with having to go through ingredients with a fine tooth comb! Love your videos. You inspired me to go natural years ago. Thank you!

mpeter0954: Your hair looks amazing and so healthy now.

sgibbes: Thank you for the video. I'm allergic to coconut and finding hair products for natural hair without coconut oil has become a struggle.

Kimberly Moss: Thank you so much, everybody thought I was crazy when I said I am allergic to coconut. I am already using Camille Rose Jai butter and Trader Joes Tea Tree, shampoo, conditioner, and shower. I found that I can use Aunt Jackie's Flaxseed Seal it up Hydrating Sealing butter, everything else I use is DIY. This video and the Prepoo video are really saving me and my hair.

Ellecia Donnell: Hi Naptural85! I think your videos are amazing and should be able to be shared with everyone! For people with hearing disabilities, closed captions are a great idea! But they can also not be very effective with all the errors they contain. But, there is something you could do! You are able to manually go and adjust the way words are presented in closed captions so that there are not a ton of errors. I'm sure you have a busy schedule, but doing at least one video every so often could really help others discover your amazing natural hair videos! If you would like to try it, just let me know and I can give you more information about it!

Carol Hairston: Hey Whitney, thanks for the video. My hair doesn't do well with coconut oil either. My go to products are the Shea Moisture products, which I really like. However, I cannot for the life of me do a twist out. My hair texture is probably a 4c, which is really kinky and THICK! I've tried do to a wash and go, and a twist out, but it just doesn't work. I think my hair type is more of a 4W then a 4C (just kidding), but seriously you would think with my hair type, that a wash and go, or a twist out would work. My hair tends to be very drying, so I found that the Shea Butter (souffle') mixed with oil (almond oil, olive oil), works best for my hair. It's not too oily, but yet tends to leave my hair soft, and not dry. I wish there was a way for me to wear a twist out, but I'm going to have to get over it. I love the style and how easy it seems to be, but I can't get my hair to curl, no matter what i do. Thanks for all the videos, I love it. Keep up the wonderful work educating us "naturals" on natural/semi natural hair products.

Gail Vargas: No coconut oil for me. I follow the hydration method for low porosity. Love it. Thanks for more produces without coconut oil in it.

Jill Day: Thanks for this! I'm highly allergic to coconut in any form, aloe, and tea tree so I've had to go back to a lot of the ayurveda treatments I grew up with to make my products.

Shelly Garland: it feels as though during the spring/summer of this year people overhyped the use of it, which lead to coconut oil becoming a craze....and many people started overusing it also. ik when i finally got on the bandwagon on it i did and it lead to a bad scalp burn lol :( i'll stick to castor oil

lostinmyimagination: Thanks for the video. Im also one of many that cant use coconut oil so getting a list of products to try is very helpful. Thanks again and hair looks beautiful as usual

Margaret Cameron: Naptural85 thanks for the info. It saves me a lot of work. My daughter is allergic to coconut. What do you think about olive oil for prepoo? Also I find that the sea kelp shea moisture regular conditioner has better slip than the deep conditioner.

coolazzchick1: Omg I've been preaching about how good amika shampoo (triple rx) , leave in cream (sea buckthorn berry) and oil treatment is. It truly moisturized my dry azz hair well. :D

Apricot Curls: Can't wait to see more product reviews that do not contain Coconut. I prefer a crunchy gel or cream myself that can be scrunched out. Problem is finding one that adds body, movement, and volume. Aussie Volume is a great example but the ingredients are questionable and it's best used occasionally instead of a "go to". Thanks for the recommendations. [3b/3c High Porosity]

Angela B: Thank you for this post!! My hair is protein sensitive and my hair HATES coconut oil, yet it's in everything bc ppl swear by it smh lol

De'Andrea Barr: I think I'm going to try out some of these products. I use coconut oil for EVERYTHING hair related and I never really paid attention to the fact that my scalp would be extremely irritated after applying coconut oil. It would be so itchy and burning that I would scratch to the point where it almost bled and I couldn't pin point why. I put some coconut oil on my scalp the other day and I finally figured out what was causing my scalp irritation. Thanks for the videos because they opened my eyes.

Jen B: Sooooo thankful for you doing this...i have googled my life away trying to find products without coconut oil. Thank you

Sonya Mauldin: Hey Naptural, I've been having issue with the back of my hair for a long time. When I was 13 the back actually was chemically burnt off. But I cut it all off so it would have the opportunity to grow back strong and healthy. I'm still having issues restraining length and growth in general with the back of my hair. The rest of my hair grows just fine and is ALOT longer then the back. Do you have any advice to how to solve this issue or could you create a video dedicated to the back of your hair?

ansn1989: Hey I truly appreciated this video! I've been struggling to find products every since I figured out I was sensitive to coconut oil. My only question is what do you use to moisturize DAILY, I feel like everyone always talked about what they use for wash and goes but not how they keep their hair moisturized every day. Thank you!!!!!

urbanfabchic: You should try the Camille Rose deep conditioner, it's amazing!

De_La_Flav: I use Baby Shampoo, olive oil and I use a cheap and (almost)natural conditioner with peach. Its working for me amazingly

Dj Bell: Whitney ur videos r so helpful !!! U make sure you give a thorough review of every product . I honestly can't compare u to any other hair channels . # true guru

NadiaDonella: Although I'm a little weary of new products, after my own coconut oil disaster, I still like to check out them out. I prefer diy but store bought is great for times when I'm too busy to be a mixologist. I've seen the Ouidad products & they are too expensive, at least in Canada. I seen so many products that you mentioned, that I've wanted to try but they double & triple the price in Canada. Thanks for the info.

Kenneth and Joyce: I used to use coconut oil but it makes my hair dry and frizzy, so I stop using coconut oil on my hair. Now I use shea butter and Jamaican black caster oil and my hair loves it .

Aderewa Aderewa: Thank you for sharing. You used some of Jane Carter products in 2014. I check the ingredients and I discovered that it has no coconut in it. May be you should try the products line and do a review on it.

jdargon: Thanks for sharing! Funny, I just purchased the Camilla Rose twisting butter. I was desperate to find something without Coconut oil. My hair loves it too!

8CountLife: Whitney you look so beautiful and glowy. Congrats on your success!

Alicia Cadet: Even though my hair does like coconut oil, I still love to watch your videos. Since your hair is shorter than what it used to be, would you ever rock mini twists again?

Bennie Price: I'm still loving the diy shampoo. There's no coconut oil in mine either, but I luckily don't have issues with it so I still use it when I need to use a lot of oil (because it's affordable).

Queen Rai: The strength of the fragrance in Shea Moisture products always makes me wonder if they're not fully natural like they claim to be. It's just too heavily perfumed imo, but some of the products work. Aubrey Organics has a phenomenal line though.

Monsutades99: The reason I cant use cocunut oil is because whenever I use it in my hair products I get acne on my neck and forehead...(cocunut oil is highly comedogenic...) So thanks for the video!! My favorite leave in is the shea moisture argan oil line (it was reformulated to be without cocunut oil :) )

Felecia Nicole: I wonder if one of the oils I'm using is damaging my hair. It seems like for the past month No matter how much I moisturize my hair, it remains really dry and it's been breaking off really bad.

Tiffany Purnell: Thank you!!! I am allergic to coconut oil and this is so helpful!

Nina D. Wells: I love this video. The products are amazing I'm totally in on using them

Rayshandra Williams: I absolutely love the pure elements mask. it's very moisturizing and not expensive! it was a great find.

Tricé Marié: Thank you! A few years ago I inquired what to use if you can't use coconut oil as I have an allergy. Thank you for sharing!

Jackie E.: Love this!! Can you make a new hot oil treatment video showing us how you would substitute coconut oil for another?

T Maples: Thank you, so much! I found out through allergy test that I couldn't not use coconut products. I love the smell just can't use them. Thanks again

Pretty Clarinet: What I learn about the Shea moister raw deep conditioner is that yes it's very thick and doesn't glide on. What I do is mix JBCO or any oil in it and it makes it so much better.

Y Davis: My hair used to love coconut oil. It was be soft and manageable but now it just sits on my hair and does not absorb. just end up with greasy hard hair. I just ordered some new products that will hopefully help my hair. I used the Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus line for years and now I can't. Thanks for the info. Nice to know I'm not the only one. ☺

Jamie Ambrose: I've been eyeing that Pure Oils line for a couple weeks now, I'm on a budget tho so I'm waiting til I have extra cash. For some reason self control is hard when it comes to hair products.

Kindness Sesay: hello Natural85 thanks so much for the coconut awareness. i have notice when i use coconut oil my hair was always breaking off like crazy. so i decided i will just cut off the coconut oil and see what happens and for sure the oil was doing more damage to my hair than helping it. i try to stay away from any product that have coconut oil as one of the ingredient. my hair feel so much better and in pretty good shape never ever will i use coconut oil or any product that have coconut in it. it may work for others but not me. the moment i stop and change my regime then your video came in my email about the coconut oil cause i subscribe to ur channel.

Natural Since Birth: YES! FINALLY I've been searching for years with little luck. Hopefully I get to try son of these! TTTTTTTTFS! My hair hates it all, coconut derivatives AND pure coconut...

Esha Esh: Thank you for this!! I use coconut oil for my skin but my scalp gets inflamed to the max when I use it directly or realize a conditioner has it.

kapparhotau181: I was so sad to find the Shea Moisture High moisture Retention conditioner had coconut oil in it. It made my hair so soft and easier to detangle but I was using it for a year and noticed my scalp itching more than usually and shedding more than usual. Then I tired a organic coconut oil prepoo and a really bad reaction. That's when I found out my hair hair didn't like coconut oil and had to stop using it. Having a hard time trying to find products that are great detanglers with moisture and I'm to lazy for DIYs . I'll keep trying though

Momma Bubbly: Yasssss! Thanks for this video Whit! I was one of the people who asked what youve been using thanks for taking ur time to make this vid! You rock at connecting with us

Bri Viss: Finally! Thank you thank you! I have been looking for a safe conditioner for my daughter who is protein sensitive!

walkerfbabygirl: My scalp have been peeling itchy and white and a mess since I've been natural and when I saw your video I immediately stopped using coconut oil and I noticed a big difference

Girl, Let's Be Real : Coconut oil has been drying my hair lately :( I'm so glad you made this video !!! :)

Wannella Lawson: I know you are busy with a lot of things.  I just want to think you for giving out information on people that cannot usecoconut oil. My hair hates coconut oil. I am glad that you mentioned acetyl alcohol because I have a a lot products with that product. Do you or any other person knows hair products that don't have coconut oil and acetyl in product. I glad to see you are going back to DIY products. Hair products are getting too expensive. Every time I go to the store there are new products. Think you for all your informative videos. Keep pushing them. Again thinks

Khimirah Crichlow: Hey I've been trying to find a good moisturizer for my hair. I was using Cantu hair products before & I found it realllly dried my hair out and so did the coconut oil. I recently started using diy flax seed gel which I like but I'm still looking for a moisturizer. Any recommendations??

Lexi Lomax: Awwww your hair looks so beautiful and healthy :) And its getting so long!

V P: I've always liked your videos but the products never applied toe because I'm protein sensitive. I even wondered if something was wrong with me, because whenever I used coconut oil or byproducts my hair would get really dry and brittle. I'm glad I'm able to keep up with you now!

Precious Lafleur: First I must say great video!!! I also have to tell you that I've made your Black Soap for myself and for friends and family, and they love it!!! They're trying to get me to sell it, but I will not for two reasons. For starters it's not my recipe, and that sounds like too much work,(I'm married with three children all under ten years old, in which two are girls with long full hair, I have one on the way, and I work. Ain't nobody got time for that. Lol, but I will continue to make it because I like making things when I have the time. Thanks to you I love Cupuacu Butter! I want to know how you store your Mango and Cupuacu Butter recipe. I plan to make this for friends as well. Once again I thank you soooo much for your videos. Keep up the good work!!!

Walking the Narrow Path | Faith & Homestead: yep, not everything works the same for everyone that's for sure. super helpful video, thanks for sharing the info!! :)

Valerie Smith: Your hair is looking really pretty. Glad you were able to find products that are working for you.

Caryn Gayfield: I have been searching online for a conditioner with no alcohol.  It has been difficult finding one with NO alcohol of any kind and I think the alcohol might be making my hair more dry.  I stopped using shampoo and soap on my hair a few months ago hoping to rehydrate it.
