Sup guys so today I have another easy DIY for you, guys it's going to be a hair product and we're going to be making african black soap shampoo. I usually co-wash weekly and then cleanse once a month using a clay cleanser, but with everything that's been going on with my hair, which i will update you guys next week. I promise I just had my doctor's appointment, so I'm ready to talk about it, but with everything going on my hair, I wanted to switch it up and I heard about the amazing medicinal qualities in african black soap to heal, scalp issues and to get your hairs To start regenerating again and growing, and just healing that skin and ah so I was like okay - let's do this, so I want to share with you guys a recipe that I've been using. That is amazing. It smells really really good and all of the ingredients in the recipe are made to help either one stimulate your hair growth, peel, your scalp kill any bacteria or fungus or whatever could be on there and just clean the hair. Now, just like all my other recipes, you don't have to follow it to the tee. You don't have to be precise and if you don't have everything that I'm using in this video definitely feel free to make it your own and just use what you have as long as you get the base right, you can really add anything you want and customize It to your own hair needs, but I will say all the ingredients that I've added in this recipe have a purpose and if you're somebody who's suffering from any type of hair growth issues, breakage scalp issues, you will probably find this recipe to be very helpful. So yeah, if you're wondering I use the shampoo weekly now that's something new in my regimen and I'm going to also update my hair, washing regimen, and I love it. It'S super moisturizing. It does not dry out the scalp. It does leave your hair, tangled just like a normal shampoo, but you're, of course, going to follow it up with a conditioner, but as far as shampoos go. This is definitely the most moisturizing shampoo I have ever used when it washes out, even though your hair is tangled and you got to follow up with a conditioner just to get the tangles out, your hair is still soft and moisturize. So that's an awesome plus so yeah. I will come back after the video to share my final thoughts. It really is a simple recipe. I hope that you guys enjoy the video, and I will see you after all, right so gon na make this easy recipe. You'Ll need a few items: your authentic African black soap jojoba oil, pure and natural vegetable, glycerin, argan oil, vitamin E neem oil, lavender, essential oil, tea tree essential oil, peppermint, essential oil and last but not least, rosemary essential oil. Now, remember, you can use all of these ingredients or only what you have available. You can definitely customize this to make it work for you, so grab your african black soap, and this just happens to be a small three ounce bar i'm gon na break off a small amount of the bar about one third or one ounce in this case. To use in my recipe and of course you can use more or less, depending on your preference, i'm shaving that piece of black soap with a knife into small pieces and placing it into a small mason jar when you're doing this you'll notice. The soap is extremely soft and breaks apart really nicely now smaller, your shavings are the quicker it's going to dissolve so try to cut them. Nice and thin. African black soap is awesome and treating scalp conditions with its powerful medicinal properties. It'S created from organic materials and it's a natural source of iron and vitamins, A and E okay. So when your piece of black soap is all shaved - and it's all inside your mason jar, we're going to add some warm water to it, to transform it into a liquid form. So one of this water to be warmer than room temperature. So I made sure to boil it, and then I set it out on the counter to cool down to a warm temperature. You don't want it too hot, but the warm water is going to help that soap to dissolve quickly. Now you can add as little or as much water as you want. It just depends on whether you like a thin or thicker shampoo consistency. I kind of like it to be in the middle, so I just pour in enough water so that it's about half an inch over the top of the soap shavings in the small mason jar. Now you can stop here. If you want and not add in anything else, but black soap can be a bit drying, so I like to add in some additional oils to help moisturize and increase the nutritional factor for my hair. So, first up, it's jojoba oil there's going to be about 1/2 tablespoons of Hope. Oil palm oil is great for your hair and scalp. It'S a closest oil and structure to our natural hair. Sebum I'm adding in 1 teaspoon of actual vegetable glycerin vegetable glycerin is a natural humectant that helps to attract moisture to your hair in wet environments. It also helps to define your curls and reduce frizz about 1/2, a teaspoon of argan oil argan oil is extremely rich. In fatty acids and antioxidants and nourishes your dry damaged, hair and scalp, and promotes cell regeneration using vitamin E to help preserve the mixture but, most importantly, it's packed with antioxidants, protecting the hair from free radicals so using about 1 TSP of vitamin E oil. I'M using about 1 TSP of neem oil neem oil is also rich in antioxidants. It promotes thicker, stronger hair has antifungal antiseptic and antibacterial properties, which are great for healing scalp conditions and itchiness, and it also promotes hair growth. So next we're going to add rosemary essential oil, I'm using about 10 drops. I really don't need too much of this as it's pretty strong. This is another natural preservative, that's full of antioxidants, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which means it's great at reducing hair loss and it's a natural stimulant that increases blood circulation to the scalp. Promoting hair growth and same goes for the peppermint oil. I'M going to be adding about 10 drops of that peppermint oil promotes hair growth by increasing blood circulation and oxygen supply. It also helps to balance the scalps pH as well as curing scalp conditions. Adding 10 drops of tea tree essential oil, which is amazing at soothing, itchy scalp and treating common scalp conditions, it's full of antifungal antibacterial, antiseptic, antiviral and anti-inflammatory seneschal oil, which smells so good. It also helps to nourish and stimulate your hair growth and has many antiseptic properties. So all of these ingredients combine and create a powerfully healing shampoo perfect for cleansing, while promoting hair growth and treating scalp issues. So when all your ingredients are added, give it a light. Stir and make sure everything mixes together and you're going to notice right away the unbelievable scent from this mixture. It smells so amazing, so good does it. So I just place a cover on top of that jar and let it sit on the counter so that all the soap shavings are going to dissolve and mix with that warm water and all those nutrients every once in a while I'll stop by to mix everything Up again just to encourage those shavings to dissolve even faster all right. So after about two hours, all the slopes should be completely dissolved and your shampoo is ready to use. So I'm just going to transfer this mixture into an application bottle just to make it easier to apply it on my scalp in the shower. So, just using a funnel to trench for that liquid and when all is said and done, we've created about five and a half ounces of homemade african black soap, shampoo and, of course, how much you personally make is going to depend on how much water you've added All right so just place that top on and the mixture is ready to go now. This is probably obvious, but I just apply it to my scalp, like a normal shampoo and I'm really wanting to make sure that I'm applying the shampoo to my scalp and not the hair strands. So that is not to drying so placing the applicator bottle into my scalp and massaging it in, and I really can't get over a scent. It'S seriously, it smells so good and when you guys make this, you will understand why it's amazing and fYI usually wash my hair in sections, but today I just felt like washing it differently. You know something new but just apply to your hair. However, you want um and after you work the shampoo into the scalp just rinse. It out completely follow up with your conditioner and that's it when you rinse this mixture out of your hair, it doesn't feel stripped at all. You got super soft, moisturize and clean hair and all this from your own homemade black soap shampoo. So I hope this video helped guys. I hope you give it a try. It'S a really great mix and it's so easy to make. If you do just. Let me know on social media know where to hit me up. All the links are in the description box. I hope you guys enjoyed this video and I'll see you in the next one. So, that's it that's how easy it is to make it takes literally two hours to put together using the shaving and warm water method. I love the recipe that I saw were like overnight recipes, and I just I did not want to wait overnight to make my. I don't have time for that. I do love myself a DIY recipe, but I'm not going to wait a whole day for it to cure. That'S not gon na happen so yeah to our processing time. If I'm going to have ances that I made in this video last meet three washes. So that's three weeks and of course I tend to use more shampoo because I just like to feel the lather base because I'm not really used to getting a lather with the clay wash. So maybe I go a little crazy. But for me the five and a half ounces lasts three weeks you could probably get to last longer if you want and when I'm not using it, I store it in the fridge and then just give it a shake when you want to use it. So with that being said, a little tiny, three ounce bar of african black soap can last you a little over two months using this method yeah. So I guess that's it. That'S everything that I wanted to say. That'S everything that I want to say so again. I hope you guys enjoyed this video and the DIY recipe. If you give it a try, be sure to hit me up on my social medias and show me what you've made and how you're using it all the links are going to be in the description box below and yeah I'll see you guys in the next video You you

Madam Butterfly: I don't know if others experience with this recipe is the same, but it has changed everything about my hair since I started using it about three months ago. I have been natural for almost 5 years and I have experienced little hair growth. Not to mention my hair came out after dying it and became unhealthy. I started using this diy shampoo along with doing a protective style. well, my hair is finally growing! I mean it's growing fast and feels and look so healthy. I also started spritzing my hair with aloe Vera juice and water after conditioning. I have 4c hair and it's normally dry all the time, but the porosity of my hair has changed and I'm literally in love with my hair. it maintains moisture like never before. Thank you so much for this diy, it saved my hair life... muah!

Sha・Ne・Ru: been using this recipe for 3 years now and i still love it! Honestly, i haven't bought normal shampoo since this video, and what's better is that i use the black soap for my body too, so this could also be like a head-to-toe cleanse

Jalesa Knight-Baker: Watching this now after using Melanin haircare shampoo just in awe and so proud of where she is and where she's going. Truly love ya girl

Tia Thomas: I just found this recipe a month ago and finally purchased all the ingredients for it. I really thought it would be too drying on my hair, especially because African black soap is too strong for my skin regularly, but instead it was very moisturizing and I wanna say clarifying at the same time. My hair really liked it - dried supremely soft after a regular conditioner (which never happens as I’m a super dry 4b/4c) and I can’t wait to use it next wash day.

Yalena Official: I love when a person rocks their natural Indigenous look. No hair extensions needed.

Ta'Mika M: I did a test to see which would better for me, either this recipe or my regular over-the-counter shampoo. This recipe won the battle by a landslide. I have now been using the recipe for a little over a month now and it not only gets my scalp clean but, it has made a huge difference with my dry itchy scalp because I suffer from eczema. Thank you for this recipe, it has been a lifesaver for me.

LaKevia Perry: After almost 2 years, I finally tried this. I substituted 2 ingredients, but I must say, this is the best shampoo I have EVER used! Pleasantly surprised by the softness and results I received. Definitely will become a mainstay for washday.

Latonya Summers: Listen, I don't know which ingredient in this shampoo is causing my hair to grow like wildfire but I thank you for this recipe. My hair has grown more in 3 wks than in the months since I big chopped my hair. I'm coming for that Angela Davis afro.

Ebb Will: I'm definitely gonna try this and Whitney you know we blk folks love to see suds... We love to lather it up as much as possible.. The more bubbles we see the cleaner we think things are...That's why most of our 32 load tide detergents be gone after only 4 or 5 washes... Or is that just me

pajamagirl123: I unintentionally started using this as a face wash and the results are great! All those wonderful ingredients make my skin feel amazing as well as my hair!!

Angelica White: You inspired me to go natural in 2013 when it was such a small community. You are a true inspiration! Thank you Whitney!!!

Diulie Chee: African Black Soap 1 oz Warm Water 1/2 inch above soap shavings Jojoba Oil 1.5 Tbsp Veg. Glycerin 1 tsp Argan Oil 0.5 tsp Vitamin E Oil 1 tsp Neem Oil 1 tsp Rosemary Oil 10 drops Peppermint Oil 10 drops Tea Tree Oil 10 drops Lavender Oil 10 drops

Fatimahs Files: Just made this shampoo using the entire recipe! My hair felt AMAZINGGGG!!! A lot of ingredients but totally worth it!! Thank you :)

EbonyDiva411: I love this shampoo! I’ve made 3 batches of it, one for my cousin. It’s working great! Thank you so much for sharing!

BrieLovesTea: This shampoo is amazing! All other shampoos dry my hair out but this one actually makes my hair feel soft and manageable!! I've only been using this shampoo for the past 5 months now and my hair has changed dramatically

Rhodnia Johnson: This will be my go to when it comes to cleansing my hair! This black soap shampoo recipe did an amazing job on my hair! No more store bought shampoos for me!

Ms. Barbs Miller: I made this soap last Friday. Oh Em, Gee! I absolutely loved it! It was super moisturizing and added a lot of slip, so I was actually able to detangle with it! I will definitely keep some of this on hand for every wash day! Thank you, Whitney!

Shelia Logan: Hi! I made this shampoo last month and I've used it twice and Love the results so far! It was fairly easy to make as you demonstrated, but I think I was "overly excited" to make it and ended up making a full bottle more than you did! I keep it in the refrigerator, but how long does it last?

Veronica Nickey: THIS SHAMPOO IS AMAZING! I’ve been transitioning for a year and on a whim, I decided to go for it, buy the items and WHITNEY YOU ARE A GENIUS! My hair has NEVER detangled so easily and felt so moisturized when washing!... I don’t know why I waited so long. I did substitute the argan oil for baobab oil though.

Joyce Belton: Ok. I’m late to the party but I just made (and used) this shampoo and AM LOVIN IT! Only need a few drops on the scalp and the lather is off the charts! BTW, tried to order Melanin African black soap shampoo 30 SECONDS after receiving email of its existence and it was SOLD OUT! Really Whitney? Congratulations on the line! Awesome products (I do have the conditioner, oil and elongating cream ).

Roslyn Boyd: This recipe was awesome. I use it for me and my daughter's hair. I didn't use all the oils that she used but it still came out great, cleansing, and moisturizing. Thanks!

Sha・Ne・Ru: Just wanted to say, i've been using this since you uploaded this video! so almost 2 years!! and my hair loves it!! definitely customizable to suit whatever problems you have ~ i came back to check the original recipie since i've changed it too often haha

You always bring such thorough information about the products you use and its properties which helps me to better decide what I need and don't need in my hair care regime. I LOVE it. Keep up the awesome job Whitney!!

alwaysneed2learn: I JUST made this for my daughter and husband. I LOVE the way it works (and smells)!. Although I do NOT have the same hair type, I even tried it myself and found it worked exceptionally well. It also doubles as an amazingly moisturizing body wash!

Royale Clay: My sisters and I made your shampoo recipe. We LOVE it! Thanks so much! Thankx Nap!

Kimberly Skinner: I love this shampoo! Soft hair, doesn't get tangly and dry, smells great and I know exactly what's going on to my scalp. Thank you so much for sharing how easy this it to make. I don't think I'll buy store bought again!

Dana Haughton: Thank you thank you thank you thank you!! I can't thank you enough. This shampoo is definitely a game changer. My hair felt amazing like never before. I am so in love with this. I can't wait to use it again!! I am so grateful for all your very informative and helpful tutorials. They have helped me immensely. Thanks again xx

Courtney Terry: I just tried this shampoo and my scalp feels SO FREAKING GOOD right now! I seriously can't remember the last time my scalp felt this clean! The only thing I did differently was add olive oil instead of jojoba oil...because I didn't have any...and I didn't do it in the shower I did it in the sink and got the shampoo in my eye. I thought I was done for! But I ran some cold-warm water over my eye until I felt like I wasn't going to die...other than that, it was very easy to follow and my hair also feels really soft! Thank you so much for sharing this! You're awesome and you just gained yourself a new follower. I'm sharing this with everyone I know!

Christal Williams: Ok so I made this today with a few change outs but I swear this was THE MOST moisturizing, best smelling shampoo I've ever used and it was a bonus feel good to know I made it myself. I will never buy shampoo again. So serious. In fact, today's entire regimen was shampooing with this, dc'ing with the fenugreek dc recipe and twisting with my customization of the mango butter you posted. My hair feels amazing and will be so lit for the new year!! Lol.

Brittney Riddick: I love this recipe. I use all the ingredients that you mentioned. I’ve been using it for the last two months! Thanks Whitney!

Mrs. pesos _xoxo: Thank you for sharing this was very helpful

lisaspics1127: I tried this over the weekend on my hair and my girls’ hair and we all love it!!!!! I also added marshmallow root to give it a little slip.

Marian: Oh wow, I'm Ghanaian so we call this soap Alata Samina and my mom uses this as a face wash. I never thought to use it as a shampoo! Really excited because it's literally in my bathroom and I don't have to go buy anything! My mom and I love your videos xx thanks for everything

Myesha: Thank you for sharing Whitney !!! This came out great and my hair feels clean and not stripped, plus it smells divine.⭐️

Christina Young: I have been making this shampoo for about a month and it is AMAZING! This is definitely the best recipe I've found. I love the fact that I can make it in a few hours (not days) and it cleans the hair with no stripped feeling at all.  THANK YOU!

Nicole Humprhey: I made this product and I am in love! My hair and I love this. So easy to make. I was always scared to make my own products because I thought the process would be difficult. However, this was so easy.

paigelanette: I just used your recipe and I can't tell you how much I loved it. My hair was easier to detangle. It was very soft after I shampooed i didn't put product in it yet and it is still super soft. I think I just found my favorite shampoo. (I only used it once since I made it)

Tory White: I LOVE this recipe!!! SOOOO nourishing and cleanses my scalp and product buildup so well! Thanks Nap!!

Zen Rt: Hi Whitney Back in the day, when I relaxed my hair. On the few occasions I used Jojoba oil in my hair care, I found it would cause quite a lot of breakage. I believe this is due to its hair softening properties, which is great if you have healthy hair, but proved to be a problem on my relaxed hair. I suspect it is the high levels of salicylic acid that caused my already weakened hair to break. I mention this because of the use of Jojoba Oil in your homemade shampoo, and the possibility that you could be unwittingly making your hair problems worse. As an alternative I've found Castor oil to be great for strengthening my hair. I hope this helps.

Ellecia Donnell: Hi Naptural85! I think your videos are amazing and should be able to be shared with everyone! For people with hearing disabilities, closed captions are a great idea! But they can also not be very effective with all the errors they contain. But, there is something you could do! You are able to manually go and adjust the way words are presented in closed captions so that there are not a ton of errors. I'm sure you have a busy schedule, but doing at least one video every so often could really help others discover your amazing natural hair videos! If you would like to try it, just let me know and I can give you more information about it!

Madam Pink Justice: Omgeee I love this recipe. I used what I had (black soap, Vitamin e, castor oil, Rosemary & tea tree essential oil, olive oil, & glycerin) and it turned out great! I’m a 4c and this cleansed my hair really well.

Shalonda Coleman: I found what thought to be a traditional liquid black soap, made from plantain skins, but this one is made from palm oil. I tried it and I'm in love. its like a thick jam consistency, I just add a little water, and finish up with, JB castor oil. my hair has. never been softer and so easy to detangle

krystle young: Whitney I found you 4 years ago and love your DIY. I still use them and they have helped with different hair conditions naturally instead of medical treatment. Thanks a million times for your work and help.

Elise: This recipe has worked wonders for me! For YEARS, I have suffered from a flaky scalp. When I was younger, I was told to use a comb to scratch before washing my hair, but that of course just further irritated my scalp. I used to have to part my hair over and over again and put jojoba oil on my scalp, and I'd have to do that at least every days. After using this shampoo once per week for 3 weeks in a row, my dry scalp or dandruff or whatever it was is gone! Thanks so much @Naptural85, you have saved me so much time!

summersify summers: My hair LOVES this. I used all the oils for the recipe and my hair felt softer and not so stripped. Please try it, but you must understand that it is a soap that will need some, most or all the oils she presented. Good luck and happy hair!

Bridgette Collie: I love the African black soup. I used it for my shampoo also two years now and it's awesome.

TheMsdai: I love your videos. I can't wait to make this for myself and my kids! Keep the videos coming! They are very informative and so easy to make! Healthy and great for our hair.

Shawn Davis: This will be the second time I've made this. The first time was EXCELLENT and I got lazy...and in turn my scalp started flaring up again...although I believe a lot of the flare up, I think, is due to eating a little too many sweet treats lol! But the shampoo made a WONDERFUL difference! And this time when I made it I really noticed how GREAT it smells!!! So I'm excited to wash my hair and keep up with making this fantastic shampoo! Plus...it feels really good knowing what ingredients are in my shampoo and going on my scalp! Thank You!!!

Krystal Price: Tried this and OMG, my hair and scalp felt amazing! I added lemongrass essential oil since I couldn't find my lavender. Smells so good and moisturizing. Just bought neem oil and argan oil, going to do this with my sister when I visit her! Can't wait! I needed something to do with my African black soap that was just collecting dust! I even used this as a body wash and it feels so good!

wookiela2010: I love your posts and they are most definitely helpful. Your shea butter cream recipe is my favorite. I use it after cleansing and conditioning in combination with eco styler gel, and my flat twist out styles last more than a week! I totally prefer using it over any store bought hair styling product! I even make gifts for friends! Thank you for all you do and I will absolutely be trying this shampoo next!

JoLindy Daniels: Love this shampoo! So great for scalp!

ZenGrower66: Whitney!!!!! Just introduced my daughter to some of the DIY things you do. Trying to help her in her hair journey. She is loving the moisture she has after only one treatment. If I can get her to understand the process it will be great. Mango capacau awesome!

Joy Webb: i made this over the weekend and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT

multispork: This looks great, going to try it, with fewer ingredients so I don't have to go shopping. Black soap is great on my wavy hair, I've been using it straight for years. My original bar started out solid, but started absorbing moisture from the atmosphere, so I put it in a mason jar, and it's kept on absorbing water as I used it, and now I have a jar of black soap gel that will apparently never run out.

Tammy white: You’re amazing girl ❤️ this is so simple and convenient . Life saverrrre

Kathleen Robison: Just made this diy blacksoap shampoo!!!!!! holy s*it it is amazing. I have a combo of 3b/3c hair, so it's very curly with some kink in the background:) My curls tend to get dreaded and knotted when I shampoo. This left my curls smooth, soft, hydrated and CLEAN! If you haven't tried it, you need to. Never going back.

Allicat723: Love love love this! Keep the DIYs coming! Thank you ❤️

K Green: This looks awesome, something I've needed for a long time. I have very bad icy and flakey scalp, even once I've washed my hair it gets flakey and icy quickly. So thank you for this method because I think this could be a new cure for my scalp!!! x

sophea: This is amazing✨ It made my hair really soft and shiny. I recommend trying this

Kathleen Brown: I made this and LOVE IT! Thank you for a great recipe!!!

Ahsoka Tano: I stand by this shampoo more than I do any name brand shampoo right now. My hair absolutely loves it.

Fabiola Laidlow: I made my own shampoo with African black soap but I used olive oil, vegetable glycerin, vit E, lemongrass and geranium essential oils! it was GREAT!!! willl try the oils you used next time

Sonya gladney: I love this DIY shampoo! It has a nice lather and it leaves my hair moisturized.

CuteTriniSmile: This shampoo is beyond amazing!! love love love it - another new staple for me, my scalp felt awesome and my hair did not feel stripped at all!

The62linda: Hi Whitney, First off,I Adore you. I know you have mentioned how you are sensitive to coconut oil. I googled African Black soap ingredients and here's what I found out: Black soap is generally made from locally harvested African plants such as plantain, cocoa pods, palm tree leaves and shea tree bark. The ingredients are sun-dried and roasted, which is how it gets its deep color. Water and oils such as coconut, palm and shea butter are then added. Love you much. And thanks for all your hair videos. It has taught me a thing or two on how to manage my natural hair

Lexys Mane: I love her she DIYS everything!!!

Melanie Clark: This is awesome Whitney!! I am going to get the products this weekend! I can't wait to try it. I've been looking for a Black Soap shampoo forever, I don't know how I missed your upload of this, shame on me, should've known I could find an answer through you! <3

Poetallmalife: I LOVE this. My hair is on 10 following her whole regimen, but this soap is especially magical. It also works on my dog!

Tamara Parker: Thank you so much for making this video! I made this and I will never buy another black soap shampoo ever! I have Locs and when I tell you my Locs feel so soft right now !!! It was so easy to make too! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Cheyenne: I tried this on my hair this morning, one of the best shampoos I've ever used.

Shugga Rae Creation: Hi Whitney I noticed this video is 3 years old but glad I come across it. I’m hopeful this is the answer to my dilemma and the results that I am expecting will wow me. Question... is African black soap from Shea moisture a good comparable to the soap you used? Thank you for sharing enjoy the video so much.

dotnb: This recipe sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Mamanicole I: Hi Whitney, Missed this video fro some reason. silly me. Love your recipe, and tried it, not bad at all. I have been using black soap on its own for quite some time and I love the way it cleanses my hair and scalp. Great for my daughter's scalp too which is prone to build-up and dandruff. (When I finally impose my Mum Law on her and wash her hair myself - 15 year-olds can be stubborn, so.... good luck) I find black soap is great and leaves our hair unexpectedly soft. Thanks again.

RHONZI: When using essential oils, please use dark containers to keep the potency of the essential oils. I've been using black African soap for the past 2 weeks and I love it....so much safer than store brands.

cynthia patrick: hi! 2 days ago i tried DIY homemade shampoo with black soap. AMAZING!!!! My hair felt clean, easily manageable. i followed with a deep conditioner which was perfect. I already had all the products at home and it was easy to follow. I actually made 3 other samples for my natural girlfriends and they loved it as well. Thanks for the tip!

Sharese Nicole: Who’s here now that she released her Melanin Haircare African Black Soap Shampoo ‍♀️

Vanessa Osei-Bonsu: Hi, I have 4b/4c hair and I have trouble with dandruff. I recently found a hair regime that involves doing a baking soda+ water mix as a shampoo (regime calls for doing 2x a week) that is massaged on the scalp and then left on for about 10 minutes. I did this right after taking out my crotchet braid when my scalp was really dry and after the mix my scalp was dandruff free. After this I deep conditioned with a mix of eggs, olive oil, apple cider vinegar for about 45 min, followed by an ACV, lemon, and water rinse that I left in for about 20 min. This was something that I tried once, but I'm in school right now and I want to get crotchet braid. I would really  to maximize my hair growth while protecting it. Do you have any tips for adjustments I could make to what I stated above consider my hair will be in braids

brownsugababe _: OMG!!!! I had to come back and comment I made the shampoo and washed my hair tonight and it smelled SOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE PEPPERMINT OIL HAD MY SCALP TINGLING so soothing
