Hey curlfriends, i'm biancan and you're watching bianca renee today and today we're going to be talking about high porosity hair and i'm going to give you tips from people that actually have high porosity hair. So this is like the final video of my little series talking about different hair types. I have a previous video about type 4 hair. A video about thick hair and today is about high porosity hair, all different hair types than i have, so my videos are often catered towards low porosity, hair, medium porosity hair, because that's what i have but high porosity. Ladies and gentlemen, it's all about you today. So, just like my previous videos, i have all of my notes right here and i wrote down all of your responses that you guys sent me on instagram. If you're not following me, i don't know what you're waiting for go ahead and do that right now, while we're waiting okay like seriously, do it right now: okay, now that we're besties on instagram, let me tell you all the things you need to know. If you have high porosity hair first of all, what is high porosity hair, i do have two videos all about low and high porosity, so i do suggest you go watch those videos, i'll link them below and above but low porosity hair means your hair. Cuticles are closed shut, so it's kind of hard to get that moisture in there versus having high porosity hair. Your cuticles are wide open, which makes the moisture get in there pretty easily, but because they're open that moisture also leaves easily as well. So you have to style and add products a little bit differently to really benefit from all the products that you're putting in there. First thing that you guys recommended to me is that you use the lco method that stands for leave-in cream. Then oil leave-in will give you moisture a cream. Styler will give you moisture and then oil. At the end, your final step will lock in and seal that moisture in and kind of, like closes the door on those high porosity cuticles of yours. So that makes sense. So if you're applying your stylers do a leave-in conditioner, then a cream, styler and then seal it with an oil love that tip next one is that you pre-poo with oils. Once again, your hair likes that moisture it likes that slip, so you can pre-poo with like a coconut oil before getting in the shower and adding your shampoo and conditioner or like i just did in my last video for thick hair, you could pre-poo with an oil Or you do your conditioner first before your shampoo, many of you do protein treatments twice a month. Protein is going to be anybody with high porosity hair is best friend, because protein is used to restore your hair. Our hair is made up of protein. So if you have low porosity hair, you don't have to use protein as much as somebody with high porosity. So i do like the tip that you do protein treatments twice a month where someone like me with medium or low porosity would only have to use it like once a month. Protein is often used to restore damaged hair. So if your hair is bleached or you straightened it too much you're gon na need a lot of protein to help restore your hair and high porosity can have a lot of similarities to damaged hair, even if it's not damaged only because if you have low porosity Hair and then you started to dye your hair and you straightened it all the time you actually started to raise those cuticles making it now changing from low porosity to high porosity hair. If this sounds a little confusing for you make sure you go back and watch my other videos, so you understand high and low porosity. Many of you said that you do not use heat when deep conditioning. Now i actually do because i have low or medium porosity hair, so i wear a heat cap, so i put in the microwave and adds a bunch of steam or some people do steam and that will kind of open up my closed cuticles so that moisture can Get in there, but if you have high porosity, your doors are already wide open. So you don't need that heat to like open them up more because they're already open. So that's a great tip that you don't need to add any extra type of like heat or heat cap when deep conditioning, because it's just not necessary many of you use multiple products. I can see that because you need that moisture, you're, probably going to use a leave-in and a cream and then maybe a gel or whatever your styler is but definitely a leave-in and a cream to get that double moisture. You rinse with cold water, another great tip, cold water is said to close your cuticles, so if you're taking a shower instead of rinsing, all your conditioner out with hot water use, cold water and that'll kind of help. Keep that moisture in your hair from the conditioner air dry. Okay. This is also a great tip many of you air dry, because your hair sucks up that moisture so fast that you don't need any help from a diffuser to dry your hair, because it's it dries. So quickly, so i can definitely see you just having air dry and being good to go in, like i don't know, 15 minutes, 20 minutes. How fast did your hair dry? Let me know down below you add more water more frequently and you apply your products on soaking wet hair. Once again you like that moisture, you need all the moisture you can get and moisture comes from water. So, while you're applying your stylers go ahead and spray some more water on there and then apply more on top of that water moisture is your best friend and protein. They might fight over you. You apply your products in sections, eight sections, six sections, 20 plus sections. Am i the only one that doesn't do sections? This is also important for thick hair and high porosity hair, because if you do take a section, you really want to get all that moisture in there. So if you just get a bunch of product and smooth it on not every single hair is really getting the attention that it needs from that product. So if you do smaller sections you're now allowing a lot of product to get into a small piece, and then you apply more product and more and more and more so then your hair is completely saturated. So, yes, i will agree if your hair is thick or you've high porosity hair do sections. Thank god i don't, because i'm too lazy for sections you wash your hair more frequently, because the moisture is gone. I can see that i wash my hair about once a week, but if your hair is just too dry and just refreshing is not cutting it, i can see you washing it more often and deep conditioning more often so that you can retain that moisture, great tip. You like to use heavy creams, rich leave-ins and butters all things that are not friends with low porosity hair, because if you have low porosity hair, your cuticles are sealed so you're, just adding all this stuff on top of it and the doors are closed. So you're weighing it down, so my hair will be super flat and weighed down if i personally use heavy creams, butters or a lot of oil. But if you have high porosity hair, it's nice to just kind of stuff them stuff, the door with moisture and just let them like just hang out and slowly absorb heavy creams, rich leave-ins, butters oils will all work. Well, you have to use a cream before gel. I will agree with this one. I am a rare case where i am someone that just likes to use a gel all on its own. But if your hair is lacking that moisture, you definitely have to apply a leave-in before the gel and that'll also make your hair not as crunchy and not as dried out and to make your wash days last longer throughout the week. So those are all great tips from you guys. Now, let's talk about the products, these are the top products that you guys recommended to me to share with people that have high porosity hair. I got a lot of people saying soul tanticals. I don't know why. I said sultanics in my last video sorry about that. It'S definitely called sotanticles. I haven't tried them yet, maybe because i see so many like rich creams and butters and it like kind of scared me and they're kind of hard to find, but i will try them. A lot of people said shea moisture, specifically the jamaican black, castor oil line. The manuka honey line, which is their protein line, so i can see that being great and then somebody even said their high porosity line, but i don't think that's a thing anymore, like i think the high porosity and the low porosity lines got discontinued. Those were great. I personally love the low porosity line. I thought it was just really easy and convenient to just be like. Oh that's, my hair typing. You could just grab those products without having to guess that they work for your hair, but i really don't think they make them anymore. I may be wrong, but i haven't seen them in a long time. The curl smith strength line. Yes, definitely the entire curlsmith strength line, which is the purple ones, those are filled with protein, so you can get your protein not just from a protein treatment. You also can get it from your creams, your gels, your mousse. They have a little bit of protein in all their products and all the ones that have the little purple stripes so definitely check out the curl smith strength line. Your hair is going to love it twist. Yes, i recently reviewed twist as well. Twist is a new, affordable product line, it's like the sister brand to wheat at it's like their new company and they have a whole high moisture line. They really specify each product by the amount of moisture that it has. So that's going to be a great one for porosity, hair and low, but just read which one is going to be best for you. They have a lot of products in that line or you can just watch my video to narrow it down. Olaplex somebody recommended oloplex, which is a bonding treatment. So that's really good if you have damaged hair, so i can see that also working for high porosity hair, some of you said tali wajid, apple and aloe. That has been a very specific line that you guys have recommended a lot, especially for thick and high porosity hair. I need to try that one and last but not least, maya organics. There you go everybody. I think that is just about everything you need to know about having high porosity hair and how to make your routine actually work for you. I always say: don't just do what i do. I mean try it, but if it doesn't, work feel free to switch it up this year. I am doing the switch it up challenge, so i love to see how you guys are trying new things experimenting, so you can figure out what will work best for you and your curls. But if you have any other recommendations on high porosity, hair tips or products or things that you do to make your life easier with a high porosity hair, please leave us a comment down below, so you can help another curlfriend reading them. I hope to see you guys next time, thanks for watching bianca renee today,

Gena Marie: Great tips! I have high porosity and really have to focus on humidity protection with sealing ingredients, polyquats, etc. Also, your volume is amazing!!

Melissa Vreden: I also have high porosity hair and it takes about 45 minutes to airdry, however I personally LOVE diffusing because it gives me volume! For diffusing I love to do what Bianca does with her hair and it made a huge difference in my wash days, so thank you for that tip!

Shal Perk: I tried the no oils and butters method for over 30days and it was a negative for my High porosity, high density, course, 4a curls & coils . However the method helped me see need to clarify every two weeks vs a month for the reintroduced heavy emollient creams and wet line gel. Yep now my hair lasts and feels moisturized for days. I use AG shampoo and conditioner (expensive) on a weekly basis, and clarify ( every 2 weeks) with kinky curly come clean - Deep condition (Shea moisture manukau and honey) once every two weeks when I feel my hair needs it. Trim when my hair asks lol -

Pon Deck: Also, Bianca, thanks for understanding that butters & oils can hit different on hi-po hair! I'm always amused by how intuitive we are about our own porosity when we're at either end, high or low, of the spectrum, & how counter-intuitive the opposite porosity seems... most hi-po's know what it feels like to accidentally weigh down our hair, but I've seen several low-po Youtubers who don't get that hi-po hair can still be airy, light, & blowy, not producty, even with oils & butters in it! And then, as a hi-po, it still seems miraculous to see someone under a faucet & their hair doesn't look wet at all & just gets beads on it. The world would be too boring & a lot less beautiful if we were all the same! xo

T J: Almost all of these apply to me. I do style my hair soaking wet, I work in very small sections, use heavy creams , heavy oils, and a cream before gel and I wash once a week

AkelaNoél: My high porosity hair takes a very long time to dry. Although I will allow protective styles to air dry, I find that air drying wash n go styles, always results in more frizzy, less defined hair. Because the cuticles are naturally more lifted or raised, setting styles with cool air helps to close the cuticles and provides for better, more long lasting results. Hope this helps someone

Flor L. Delgado: Thank you, Bianca. My high porosity hates oils. I'm getting there with styling it, but I'm still at that: "looking for what's best for me" STILL. My curly hair is time consuming and hard on the pocket, you know? ‍♀️ You should know how lucky you are! 6th day hair and no frizz? Girl, that is "crazy"!! BEST WISHES. ❣

Lizandra Barboza: This video helped me get a EPIPHANY! THANK YOU! so I just recently discovered I have high porosity hair, so I'm still learning, and I just wanna add to the list (which I mostly, not 100%, but mostly agree with) that I hate using a diffuser or just the blow drier in anyway. it breaks my (extremely fine) strands adding frizz, it blows away not only literal water but also all the moist and hydration effects so it makes my hair looks and feel dry and dull, and it also just simply LOOKS TERRIBLE: despite having very very fine strands my hair is VERY thic, I have CRAZY volume, and the blow dryer just undoes any definition I try to make and retain. I never understood how much everybody with curly hair seems to love the blow dryer and I hate it so much. I was thinking what is wrong with my hair?? Why does it responds so terribly to blow dryer? No it's not bc I don't know how to use it, I do, on me and on others. No it isn't a bad quality one, it's the same I use on mom and it works just fine. No of course I don't use high heat, neither the stronger blow, I'm not tryna break, burn or make it even more frizzy I'm not dumb. I do the same my friends do and live and it looks absolutely awful. But then, my hair is just... his own. my type is kinda 4a but it's more to frizzie than actually curly like most 4As, it doesn't curl that much, it has a triangular like pointy shape like my aunts frizzie 4c, but mine is not actually 4c because it doesnt shrink that much, in fact only about 50% so it's not tight. my hair is fr so crazy, it's like a won't form curls, just frizzy tiny waves, like 4c pattern, but not so shrinked. and with like 3/4 your head size plus in volume looking super ticc and full, but actually having super thin strands, so not accepting heavy products, but very hish density so it's just so so so many hairs all over each other super close together, super difficult to separate and part it, but holds well with gel. and oh, half a meter long btw. So it takes me about an hour and a half with the blow dryer and 3 to 4 hours by air drying to dry out. seriously my hair is so complicated. But now I this video helped me realize why the blow dryer is so bad to it, It's bc of the high porosity! not bc I can't do it or bc of damage, but only It's just bc it doesn't do my hair well, it's just doesn't get along with it. it blows away everything I need to keep, undoes my already hard to keep pattern, and open even more my pores. crazy. I never knew it. also English is such a difficult language lol

truly_troyonna: A true Curl Queen is inclusive to all curls. Here's your crown Bianca ‍♀️ ✨

CHAD ALEXANDER COOPER: I’m low porosity but I did find it is easier on me to use one product as a styler. I use Bevel men’s Curl Cream it is amazing it’s like a moose, Leave in and gel all in one bottle! My hair is defined, moisturized and smooth and sleek. Also my bank account is fatter now that I only use One styling product on my hair. Also after using the Bevel curl cream I seal the moisture with Castor oil. Bianca this was amazing

Lyrika 18: I have high porosity hair and follow and have followed most of the tips except I deep condition w/ heat most of the time because I do notice my deep conditioner penetrates my cuticles a lot more compared to not using heat, and I don’t style on soaking wet hair anymore especially when doing a protective style I find that because I have fine strands it causes fairy knots a lot more. So I let my hair air dry about 85% then I blowdry on low heat to help straighten and then cool to seal my cuticles before I do a protective style. I don’t really do wash n go’s much but when I do I style on almost damp hair blow dry each section as I go so my hair won’t shrink to much and cause more fairy knots

Emily Allen: I love all your tips and tricks for hair!!! Girl i been so lost but your videos have helped me so much with my biracial princess and her hair! Thanks love! Oh i literally followed you on Instagram when you told me too lol thx girl

Em-2013: I used to have very high porosity hair but can see now that it was because my hair was damaged for a long time, with out me knowing. But I’m currently doing a Curlsmith only year, and have learnt that my hair is actually normal/medium porosity hair. My hair dries pretty quickly, my hair absolutely loves protein ( I use the Curlsmith protein shampoo and conditioner every week). But because my hair is fine and not really thick, I only use a leave in on wash day and then refresh with a gel every day. So I guess the density of your hair changes the products and how many products you can get away with using.

Just Shanie101: The Maui moisture coconut moose is everything for my high porosity hair. I use the Jamaican black castor oil deep conditioner and I recently tried the Zotos professional all about curls line. The leave in detangler and the taming cream and now my new staple and it’s affordable. Doesn’t replace my curlsmith moisture line though

Noeli Vasquez: oh my goodness! i have been watching your videos and seeing how long your hair has gotten and it looks so SO beautiful! your hair is now my goal!!

jayd2008: I'm told I have high porosity hair but I think it's mixed. My hair loves the thick creams and custards but it takes forever to dry. I LOVE the Taliah Waajid Apple & Aloe line! My hair loves the curl definer custard. Jojoba oil is great on my hair but I actually do (LOC) Leave-in, then oil, then cream/custard or gel versus the LCO method

Jermaine Au Natural: This hair!! It look darker and this volume!!! Loving the natural hair community helping each other out

Brittni Berry: Great video, will definitely try out some of those products listed. I’m a product junkie, but I’m also scared to try new products at times because once you find products your hair likes it’s hard to not use them.

Aida F.: WOW Bianca your has gotten long and GORGEOUS, this is the shape I want!! And thank you for sharing this video!! I already do the pre-pooing with oils and the LCO method and it definitely helps with curl definition!! Now I'm incorporating rice water for the protein treatment!! And I'm glad you mentioned air drying because I do notice it still dries out my hair even though I use the warm/cool setting!!

May LaVerne Barnes: Your six day hair looks fabulous! Great video with good information. I also like my high porosity hair results using products from Uniqurl, Miche Beauty, and Adwoa Beauty. Will have to try Talia Wajid and the new Twist line. I used the SM Manuka Honey & Yogurt protein conditioner and received nice results. I have the recommended Shea Moisture products and will use them for the first time soon. You'll love choosing from the many products Soultanicals has to offer. I have been using Curlsmith products for the past 2½ months and really like them. In addition to the Strength lines, I like using products from the Moisture line. The Oil-In-Cream, Double Cream Deep Quencher DC, and the In-Shower Style Fixer gel are some of my favorites. I just ordered the Bond Oil and look forward to using it with the Bond Salve (love it!) and other Strength line products. I tried the Aqua Gel and will try it with the Feather-Light Protein Cream today. My curl definition has really greatly improved since adding more protein based products and treatments to my regimen.

Felicia Bethea: Really great tips!!! Thanks Bianca! Taking care of us, even when you are partying in San Fran!!!

Kentucky Curls: I loved this video super helpful! It takes forever to get my hair wet but it also takes forever to dry. If I air dry my hair it takes 8 hours or more …. No joke. Thanks for all you do girl!

Deborah Woods: Takes approximately 1hour for me hair to dry. So far Curlsmith bonding treatment line works great. I use coconut oil to seal the moisture.

Perel Zingorenko: Oh my gosh exactly what I need!! Thank you for making this video!!

Pon Deck: Grown out & trimmed off most of my higher-po highlights, & now have medium-to-just-above-medium po, medium-to-high density. I do (& have done) many of these tips, except I don't usually air dry (hate having wet hair/scalp & it takes a day now to air dry, over an hour to diffuse on cool & low), & I don't need much protein anymore, but my hair has been thriving! Layering a leave-in, botanical gel, & a pvp gel has been my go-to & a game-changer for me. You should definitely try Soultanicals, Bianca! The Frizz Whiz leave-in won't weigh your hair down, & the Fro'zen gel has the strong hold you love. I think you might also find the Can't Believe its Knot Butta not too heavy & good in winter. I love Curl Junkie Pattern Pusha & Curlsmith's Flexi Jelly, esp. layered together! Thanks for addressing varieties of textures in this series! xo

I Literally LOVE This: For the longest I thought my hair was low porosity, but I would notice my hair would act better with high porosity treatments. With the exception of protein treatments, I've done most of these things. I think my hair wasn't doing as good as it could because I never did protein treatments.

DarkSilum09: I have high porosity and very dense 2c to 3a hair. I walk the line between not enough moisture to weighing my hair down. I love the curlsmith protien line, mielle pomegranate and honey line, and the apple and aloe curl definer is awesome! My hair takes about 2 hours at least to fully air dry. With the diffuser ( because I do love my volume!) 45 minutes to an hour to fully dry my hair. My hair also loves oil treatments... I use argan oil

Jennifer White: Can we talk about how bug and fluffy your hair is today!!??

muskndusk: Coconut oil applied daily as a pomade helps to moisturise my high porosity hair. It just drinks it in and there's no oiliness after 15 mins, just soft hair. Apply it daily because the oil vanishes into the hair. Occasionally do a heavy oiling several hours before washing.

Sarah Weston-smith: Thank you! I have two girls and both have different hair types. So this really helped me with my youngest hair who just soak up everything

Virginia Claiborne: Your hair❤️! Great tips! I have high porosity hair and only suffer from dryness if I use certain products. The biggest tip that really makes Hugh difference is using Glycerine FREE leave in products , hard hold gels with glycerine work well because it keeps the gel cast from cracking off your hair and max it more flexible. Glycerine in LI wave ins draws too much moisture to the hair causing puffy dang near moist cotton candy type issues. We use multiple products ( LI, moisturizers , creams & butters) as a barrier to atmospheric moisture. You will now t find a true high porosity head spraying in water based products mid week as it will just puff and frizz out the hair. Mid week moisture is accomplished with oil & water based products like Oyin Hair Dew or Smooth Naturals Hair Treat. Best long lasting hair happens when you add layers of moisture and butter/oil that seals it in and acts as a barrier to atmospheric water. If you are like me you keep an eye on the dew points to ensure you are wearing your hair style and using products that align with the dew points so you are not caught with puffed out twist/braid out or an overly shrunken W&G. It’s a lot but once you get the hang you know to look. FYI glycerine and honey are high humectants that bring too much moisture to the party if you have high porosity hair so if you look at the top ingredients and it is listed there know to keep your coins in your pocket! Brands that have glycerine free LI & creams : Smooth Naturals, Nature’s Little Secret, Camille Rose, Kinky Curly, Soultanicals, Curls Origins, Curls and Potions and some lines from Taliah Waajid

Maria Speirs: thank you. this is gonna help me so much. ive never known how to look after my curly hair properly till now.

blackeneddove: I am high porosity & have recently started using an old school (but new to me) brand - Qhemet Biologics. It has been great so far the last few months. I am using the Amla & Olive heavy cream, and their Castor & Amla nourishing pomade. I also recently (finally) tried the UFD curly magic and it has been great!! But I have only been protective styling the last couple months and haven’t tried any of these products for a wash n go yet.

Snagrashable: High prosperity hair here! It takes about 30 minutes to an hour for my hair to dry depending on if I’m moving around or not. Also, LOVE Shea moisture intensive hydration masque. I have yet to find a hair masque that helps my moisture deficit between washes like this one.

Victoria B: Thank you for this! All of this was so helpful!

Rienna Walker: The fact that I was just searching for high porosity hair tips. And thought to myself ‘I wonder if MzRenee has tips’. Then bam 19 minutes later she posted a video. Thank you ❤️❤️

Kathy Claudio Chandler: Your hair is always so beautiful but in the few years I’ve been following you, your hair is the most beautiful and you are just glowing with positive energy.

Dxxx Bxxx: B your hair looks amaizing today..voluminous and healthy!

Julieta Quijano: Two questions: out of the products that were mentioned in this video, which ones work best for thin hair? I have high porosity but it is thin and curly/wavy. Second question: i have been using rizos curls products and i was wondering if anyone had an opinion on if that line is good for high porosity?

Janelle Bailey: You are correct about the high porosity and low porosity sea moisture lines. I didn't even get to try them

Kim Smith: Girl you are 100% the only person I know who does not section at all LOL

Jenn Leah: I have naturally higher porosity despite not having color treated or heat damaged hair. My hair soaks up water instantaneously, and actually takes FOREVER to dry! My hair is also fine, so I take it easy on moisturizing products (no heavy creams and butters). For that same reason, I can't apply stylers on dripping wet hair. It weighs me down. But the curlsmith strength line are some of my favorites!!

Naturally Lizzie: I don’t have high porosity hair but I just always love your videos and info!!!

Beautiful Mariah: So here’s a little interesting bag of info I personally have butt length low porosity virgin 2c OcASioNaLLy 3a texture fine thick hair.fine is is the size of my hair strands and thick is the amount of hair strands For 3 years I have followed your tips and tricks(for the 99.5%) I diffuse if I have the time or sometimes I gently blow dry my hair.I have been straightening my hair once a year but I don’t think I’ll be doing that anymore cause I don’t get the smooth look I want and I think that’s due to the heat raising the cuticle but I can get basically straight hair if I blow dry it that way‍♀️anywho my hair actually LOVES proteinalso when I started using natural products on my hair it loved the leave-in,cream,gel combo but as time has went on and I’ve made my hair completely healthy creams and gels are too heavy for my hairso now I use leave-ins and foams because mousse is too crunchy for me

Megan T: Girl. The VOLUME❤❤

Justin McCurdy: Thank you! I needed this cuz i get my hair bleached at salon every 6 weeks sometimes later. But def every two months i get hair bleached root touched up and toned.

Christina Romero: Hello all! I NEED SOME SERIOUS HELP! For the longest I thought that my hair was low porosity because (mostly) my roots always take a while to get wet and the rest of my hair a little bit less time and it takes forever to dry. I also suffer from wet frizz and one strand nots especially at the nape of my neck and lot, I mean LOTS, of tangling but I'm never sure why or what I can do about it. I have run my fingers down several strands that have an uneven texture and I have quite a lot of those especially at the crown. I also have clumps of hair that will be more curly towards the roots, straight at shaft, and curly on ends and at the same time, I feel like most of my roots hardly ever curl and are always frizzy. Lately I've been suffering from dandruff and I've purchased a couple of clarifying shampoos but neither have worked for me and have been using them with a scalp/shampoo massager. If anyone has any advice, I'd greatly appreciate it <3

shayma mustafa: Locking in moisture with castor oil is what works best for my high porosity hair

Nour Atallah: I'm obsessed by you and your hair and I am proud that I'm subscribing to your channel

Shal Perk: Yes in deed - leave in spray, heavy cream (Cantu moisturizing activator cream), and eco styler gel (for a firm hold for sealing in the moisture). My high porosity- combination lock -

Christina Molnar: I have fine high porosity hair Curlsmith weightless air dry cream and shape up aqua gel are life! I can’t wait to try the oil!

Ali Casper: Hello my fellow high porosity babes if you have not tried the orange marmalade styler from ecoslay you are MISSING OUT. It is life-changing!

Jennifer Slaughter: This hair growth tho?! Yes Sis

Daniel Johnson: Thanks for this video #IGFam #CurlLibrarian. One of my friends also, does LOCO method Leave in, Oil, Cream, Oil

Yumna Barendse: I apply so many products throughout the week on my high porosity hair, so I definitely need to wash more frequently coz product build up is real!

Leah Baez: Hair looks GREAT in this video. The whole look is working too, lol

Cierra Clark: I’ve decided to switch things up by adding protein products into my routine. I’m going to start as soon as I finish what I’m using now. It’s kinda terrifying, since, i have thin, fine, low pro hair.

Lorraine lori: I have medium to high porosity, very fine medium density hair. When I have no product in freshly washed hair, my hair dries in 15-20 minutes. With my leave in, cream and gel 6-8 hours (overnight) air dried. My hair hates the blow dryer diffuser and all. I do cool air occasionally but that's the forever project. It really looks great and no frizz air dried. I wash at night and my hairs still wet when I go to bed. I try to stay up and wait for it to dry but I can't.

Iris Roxana Ramirez: My hair takes 5- 8 hours to dry especially the inside . But I love your hair .

Jessica Choudhury: Can we all just take a minute to appreciate those eyebrows!?!!?!

Karen Monroe: I have high porosity hair due to highlights but my hair hates large proteins so I can only use products with small proteins. Porosity is so confusing and I’ve watched a bunch of videos BUT I’m off to watch yours.

NCP: Loved this informative video however, I’m a bit confused. If you’re supposed to wash your conditioner out with cold water to close the cuticles, how do they open back up to absorb the deep conditioner? Shouldn’t you use a heat cap then when deep conditioning to open the cuticles backs up otherwise the conditioner is just sitting on top of the strands, no?? And if you rinse with cold, how does your leave-in, and cream absorb into the cuticles? Again, won’t your products just sit on top of the strands?

Shirley Hernandez: Can you do a video about safe products for curly children’s hair? I’d love to hear your tips and recommendations!

Naomi Krumsieg: Hey can you do tips for wavy hair? I loved the four type vid and i think 4 and 2 type hair is kinda rejected sometimes and im kinda confused on some things with my hair so a 2 type hair vid would be great! Love u!!!!

Ambre Cucchietti: Can you do a weekly hair routine ?

E've On Everything Shorts: I have fine 4b/4c high porosity hair and I definitely don't need to do sections not me watching thick hair being sectioned and thinking I must be sick cause I've never struggled to that point the greatest tip I got from this is rinsing with cold water boy have I been rinsing my hair wrong ❤️thank you so much for this

Psalm 31: THE VOLUUUME thanks for the tips, Bianca!!!

Angerlean Hammond: Today is June 21st, 2022. My hair is growing back from having breast cancer twice. I rinse my hair with luke warm water and I don't use gel. I use Cantu products and Palmers length retention hair and scalp oil with Biotin and vitamin E and I added olive oil, carrot oil, and castor oil.

Makeup n Skin By Younique: Rinse with an acv rinse to seal the hair circles too.

pabi 213: I also heard that an oil pre-poo prevents hydral fatigue from your hair absorbing too much water during wash day.

Maria Barnes: Oh, and with hi porosity hair, you don't typically have to try to get volume, but to manage the volume you have to get the style you want...

SneakerTeacher89: I’m surprised you haven’t done a review on the New hard hold gel from The Curl Talk line.

Olivia Olson: your hair looks freaking incredible omgggggg

stellawil: I have 3c/4a medium to high porosity. My hair is fine. Oils just coat my hair and it dries out. I do prepoo with a deep conditioner. I get good results.

Stephanie Williams: great video. I have high porosity hair and my hair takes some time to dry. If I have evening plans ill do my hair in the morning by the time im ready to step out my hairs ready to go, the next day is the best though.

Sharese Nicole: Heyyyy my high porosity sistas✨ #ganggang I dnt use oil prepoo- Aloe Vera is better Also don’t use the LCO method, that oil step will leave my hair heavy and limp (no volume) but I’m low density so I think it still depends on your hair density whether these tips will work.. I agree with the air drying and I don’t like any of those products mentioned or haven’t tried them I enjoyed watching this video ❤️

Raquel Pujadas Domínguez: mine takes forever to dry and wet so I thought I had low porosity for a long time and also the water sits on top of the strands BUT they're bumpy, and my hair gets weighed down easily but also loses mpisture as days pass by so I think I have a mix of both, lol

Asel Kularatne: I have high porosity hair. But, my hair is sensitive to protein. Any recommendations for protein free deep conditioners, leave-ins and creams?

Robyn Klatt: I have high porosity but medium density. Those heavy products would weigh my curls down.

ladiiindi: The volume and Definition going on today!!! what did you use?

Alodie Westenbroek: Love the look!!!

African Fhair lady: Great tips. Bdw,I love your background decor.

Noah.R: do you recommend the mui hair mask?Ive tried other brands like shea and found that they left my hair drier and frizzier.I havent been able to find a product that really works for me yet

Perel Zingorenko: Wow I learnt a lot from this video :)

emcduffie916: Every time I get info about low and high porosity hair I become more unsure of my hair type. Lol I always seem to fit both hair types

Stephane Johnson: I would love to see you do a segment about steaming the hair. I've seen other videos on how it's amazing for your hair....

Karina Ramirez: Is there a specific way to use the curlsmith strength shampoo? It makes my hair super stiff and hard

Penny Warren: I appreciate this info!

Naturally Brittney: Honey this hair is giving me liiiiiifeeee!!!! it’s gotten so long & looks a little thinker too! Question! Do you trim your own hair or do you go to the salon to get trims? I should know this seeing that I’ve been watching you since the beginning of time but yea what’s your routine with trims

Angie Mar: What oil do you guys recommend for the loc method ?

Rosanna Danna: Fall makeup on fleek, B.

Whitney Suit: Hi high porosity #curlfriends…I was wondering if any of you have an oil suggestion. I am looking for one to seal my curls without completely weighing it down! My hair will produce enough oil at the roots, so just looking for something light weight for my ends ✨

Perel Zingorenko: What drugstore protein treatments do you recommend?

Paulette Moore: Look at the volume in your hair!

meagan danielle: My high porosity hair dries in 5 hours with multiple layers of product and soaking wet

Kiara Jenkins: I'm new on my curl journey and whoo this sounds like a lot compared to just straighting my hair but I'll try it ig

1922mistyblue: Great video!! I can’t wait to see you try Soultanicals
