The wet look and we're done if only it was that easy to make this look. Last all day we will be layering several products, first, one being the color wild dream coat for curly hair. What'S nice about this is It's a light spray, but it still does help to control the curl, and then this is the magic sauce we're using a Serum with glitter in it. It'S the color while pop and lock, and we're smoothing that into Amanda's Hair as well and then putting a gel over top without gel, we would not be able to get Amanda's Hair to hold and we need a strong hold at that. So this is the curl Smith fragrance free shine, gel it's important to work in sections to really smooth and Sleek down all of the hair, especially if it's thick like Amanda's, I'm just smoothing it over all of the hair and slicking down the sides as well, and Then I'm clipping the hair in place. This is going to help to add a little extra weight to make sure that it stays elongated as well as help keep down the volume. While it dries, don't forget to brush your teeth kidding. But this is the tricky part. We use the wide tooth comb attachment on the Dyson to dry, her hair and Amanda. What do you think I missed the volume a little bit, but I love it.

Mariana H.: I love it! Also love how Amanda said she misses the volume yes the bigger the hair the harder they stare

Amanda Guido: U killed it sees

Honeychile74: This is how I used to wear my hair in the 1980s at school. Wet Look hair gel was very much a big thing in 80s Britain. It’s funny how everything comes back round again eventually.

Zoé Rosado: Happy Texture Always! This trend is interesting because it's a way, I think, of acknowledging that some people like wearing their curls with less volume and that that is great too. (Mell, I've got a question. Last year I made your DIY Universe haircut. I LOVE IT. After that I've been doing my every two month dusting just like you taught us. The thing is that my hair has grown and I believe in a few months it might start loosing it's shape. My question is: how can I maintain the universe haircut shape (that pretty roundness) without sacrificing the length? Hope both of you are living happily. Thank you always. )

jenifer wendt: Love this. Reminds me of how I used to have my hair actually wet all day to achieve this look in middle school. Lol it was as cute tho

Jesus Loves YOU: So pretty, love it!

Blondhrsecrzy: I just couldn't imagine using all the product in my hair. It makes it feel so heavy & coated.

Special K: Stunning hair styles as always!

Jewel Denile: Drat! I just went out and got the Olaplex 4c and impulse bought the WOW Supernatural. Now I have to go and get the darn Dreamcoat Curl! I’m gonna be broke. . Ok, that’s my last purchase for the next few months!!

DabsAllDay: Omg! I would love to see my curls after YOU get done with them!! ❤️❤️

Lynzi Collins: Looks so beautiful

Nana Boo: Omg I gotta get my hair done like that now

Sabrina S.: Love it! How can I do it for fine, curly hair?

Mel: Back in the 90s, I used Sebastian Wet and my hair always looked like this. It stained my shirts sometimes.

Mara Mao: The product wow is amazing! It contains water soluble silicons that do not build up and keep the hair light, defined, soft and humidity proven! I live in a tropical country and I use only "free everything" products and my hair were constantly a mess. This product is a life-changing and it is a good compromise for someone who doesn't like to have silicons in her routine

sophia difa: Hi Mell, I was wondering if it's true that a low-slicked-backed ponytail causes a lot of breakage? if so, which hair styles are low on breakage or that you recommend?

Kara Talks about Stuff: Making her squirt the products into your hand is major sister energy.

Mimie N.: Okurr, wasn't expecting that final look

Nikki D: Beautiful. But Amanda can rock anything

Gia: Love it

Aimee C.: Her hair looks gorgeous. But you’re both beautiful, you’d look great regardless. Now, for my question. I have wavy hair. It used to curl beautifully, but now— not so much. I have a lot of gray now, and my hair isn’t as thick as it used to be (my hair has always been fine, but it used to be thicker. Not to go into it too much, I had lost a lot of hair at one point, but now it’s growing back). So, I went for a haircut a couple of months ago and my stylist told me that it’s not curling right because of the gray! I mean, that totally makes sense while at the same time makes me incredibly sad. it’s more of a straggly kind of curl, especially in the front… it’s not cute, Mel. It’s not cute. My question: what can I do about this? Are there any products, or techniques, that I could be using to get my curls back?

Nicole Walker: Killin’ the game, ladies!

kitty cat: This is how my hair looks when I finger-curl it and in the times it doesn't it's a frizzy mess.

Corbin Brier: Looks great but definitely would be way too much product for myself. I just wet my hair, brush out knots, and the put curl cream in. Only amount of energy I'm willing to dedicate to my hair when I wake up lol.

KkitKkat: Omg!! I can't save this as it's a short, but I've been looking at those products for a while on amazon. I've been working on making my wavy hair look like that

CL Ye: Wow. Stunning!

MARS Official: im mixed & have like three different textures in my hair. i’m 22 & still haven’t found reliable products to keep my hair in place without it feeling like straw. any tips bc i’m debating just chopping it off again.

Jon hammfbz: Awesome video Enjoyed watching this

Lesley May: Just use cheap hair gel. Boom. Done. I was a teenager in the 90's with wavy hair. Edit: just watched it again, that's way too many steps. Literally: gel, hairspray, scrunch.

Ejay Emm: I love it! ❤️ also yall are gorgeous

Me: I love the wet look

mo-mento: Top mel, great job, u look so pretty doing this hairstyle, happy happy

Lana Affonso: We used to rock this in the 90's with 900 gallons of LA looks Gel more not knowing how to deal with our curls then fashion. Yours looks way better.

Krystle S.: Idk this was a trend! I’ve literally been hating my hair all day bc it looks like it’s wet (tried a couple new curly hair products), but people are trying to get that look? I mean, if you like it, great! But I want the opposite effect.

Alexis TwoLastNames: this is a lol like how i did my hair for a military ball! i was so surprised the products i used held all night.

Jillian A: Is the purpose of this look to flex on how much product you can afford, cause damn

Yasmin Zakarya: What is the kind of this hair type? Does it get extremely frizzy?

Done Wasting Time: So this trend is basically my hair on my bad hair days lol

Jon hammfbz: Thanks for the Amazing comments and feedback

Yasmine Yaiche: Omg I love this

Kathy Sahori: So beautiful looks so flowyyy

Effie Sanford: Beautiful

marisol501: I want to see how it looks on days 2 & 3

Emily Blenn: i need to get my hands on this glitter serum

diana cooper-havlik: Thanks for sharing!!!

pablo escobar's chanclas: i’m just imagining the product build up and how much clarifying shampoo it would take to get that all out….don’t try this if you have an oily scalp.

Vanny Lidl: If only I didn’t look like Hamilton I would totally try this

laynie the directioner: omg her hair is gorgeous

Cady Stylinson💙💚: I wish I had a friend that would do my hair but all my friends have straight hair so they wouldn't know how to do it they'd just make me look like hagrid

DaisyL87: Genius love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️

N Mamari: Love itttt

Dan and Candy Parrott: This an 80s look. We used to make our perms look like this.

KAT: I love this!! I'm not a fan of volume.

strikerwoman: It’s beautiful but kinda gross…putting all that stuff in your hair makes it feel/look dirty (to me). She has such gorgeous hair that it works but I feel like for the every day person…this could go terribly wrong lol

Angie Bonsangue 🦕🦖: OMG imagine brushing your teeth with gel-✋

Rachel Brzoznowski: It looks like the uncrunched cast look.

Libby Oren: can you please do a video with all the products you are using in this video???????? please I have curly hair too and I don't know how to take care of it pleaseeeeeeeee

poppy: looks so beautiful. but the products are expensive, it takes so much time and effort. this is why i will forever & always have trash looking curls

MrzBadaBing: Bro wtf this is how all the girls used to do their hair in the 2000s you just need LA looks gel the blue kind or the eco style bucket gel.

Jackie Rodriguez: What should I do if I’m losing my curls and it’s not due to heat damage?

The Ardent Archer: Not a fan to be honest. Gives me flashbacks to middle school when I used wayyyy too much gel to keep the frizz at bay. I constantly looked like I just took a shower. Why is this a trend?

Paula Camillucci: LOVE! fun

Hrodgar: I need a way to do this solo....

Rachie Nahanee: ❤️❤️

Ema Tique: Is this a thing? I feel like I rock this look a lot but because of my wash and gos

Tashanna Johnson: THATS SO CUTE

К. Илья Магомет: Her name is Amanda and she looks like Margarita Levieva who played Amanda in Revenge, I love it!

michele vrey: It's really cool and all but how the heck do you basically drench your hair in all that product...it must cost a fortune

Simply Amanda's Homestead Sampler: This is so 80's!!!!

Glen: ƤROOᗰ

Kendall Butcher: Could you please post how you part your hair and what haircut to get? I’m really struggling. I have very flat roots but I have very long hair that goes all the way down my back. It gets curlier the farther down it goes. I know layers help but I don’t know what to ask for. Could you give some tips on what styling brushes to use? I normally shampoo and condition. Then go in with a nym curl talk leave in conditioner, nym curl talk defining cream, nym curl talk frizz control gel, nym curl talk moose, and then I diffuse and scrunch out the crunch. I have problems with making the roots and the underneath part of my hair defined. The underneath is always tangled. I also have absolutely no idea what to do to refresh my hair. It always ends up looking like a mess. I need help finding a way to refresh my curls and make them last. My hair looks very oily only on day 2 hair! I live in a very very humid area and I am very limited with hair tools and products. But I am willing to try something new! I know these are a lot of questions but it you could help me I would really appreciate it!!!

Eiki H: I don't like it. It looks too heavy and oily with products

donutweeds: wow

Inayyah Louise: I want wavy hair really wavy

X O: When is the wedding???

Hiiibestie: Moose works too

Miss DeAnn: Why can’t y’all just use moose lol

Introspective Tony Soprano: No offense, but this just looks dirty to me. Like greasy unwashed hair. It just sort of looks like you aren't done getting ready imo

Jenrassic: Doesn’t even look good tbh

Pamela Hennings: Ridiculous amount of product!

Pehr •: uuuhm easily?

Jon hammfbz: Where have you been watching from?

* Lotusblume *: That a ton of product.

MONICA CHARMING: No
