Welcome back to my channel time for another video, and in this video we will be using melon hair care. They have a new african black soap, reviving shampoo if you're on youtube. You already know the name natural 85, if you're new, here honey, she's og youtube in the natural hair game, she is notorious for making a diy african black soap shampoo. Other companies knocked it off, bottle it and tried to sell it. So she said hey. Let me make my own coin and make her own shampoo. The active ingredients in here are tea tree turmeric and black seed oil aka black cumin seed. Now that we got the intro out of the way uh listen. This is my thinking right. Um. The primary ingredient is black soap african black soap. Not only is it a cleanser, but it is a detoxifier and when you use it as a cleanser on your hair, it will remove product buildup and some oils, but even possibly your natural oils. So you may experience a strip feeling from it right then, on top of it got tea tree and black cumin seed, which are very strong ingredients and so bone. I look like this and if my hair is matted down from the oh, my god well, i wasn't expecting to look like that. But if my hair is already matted down, it would not be smart for me to apply a soap that i know is intensely cleansing and detoxifying to matted hair, because that is just going to cause cell women now tangles. So i feel like it is the smartest move to pre-poo. I also watched tresses of alexis video on this product. She pre-pooed as well. So i was like honey we're going to be connected in the spirit and i'm a pre-poo. So i'm going to apply this main choice, proceed with caution, pre-poo mask it's pre and post pool. I get good results with this and i know that it's gon na give my curls the bounce back it needs. So i don't turn my hair to shreds using some black, so it just wouldn't be smart. So let me apply this real quick, go off camera and i'll be right back and we're back honey. Let'S get this show started, so this shampoo um is very much so naturally derived it says: safe synthetic derived from nature, um, no sulfates, parabens, silicones mineral oils, all this stuff that we all hate it's not in here. So, let's just see if it worked, it come in this big old bottle. It is 16 fluid ounces, the price was 19 and some change the shipping is 10. So to get this to me, it cost me 29, american dollars 29.89 to be exact. Now price is something that is very individual per household. If it's expensive to you, i totally understand if you think it's a fair price. I totally understand your finances, your business. Let me go get this here together, honey comes with this bottle, you twist the top a little bit and it has a nozzle for easy application, honey this thing's so natural. I don't know if you can tell, but you can see the little bits and pieces of stuff that's floating around in here, it's good for 12 months, once you open it so honey, let's just go and get this thing started, wait a minute. Is it coming out honey, child, it's so 20, 20 of me, the smell honey. I can smell the tea tree in it. It smells very, very natural, that's all i can say, but i can definitely smell the tea tree and stuff okay. So let's just do this. This is what the consistency looks like for those of you all who saw her video of her diy shampoo. You know it's kind of water. This is actually thick like a standard shampoo, so i'm just applying it. Oh it's got a real good lather. I was not expecting that i can smell the tea tree in here. It is a very um. It'S very strong smell, very strong, okay, so so far so good it lathers really well um. My scalp feels amazing. I will give her that it's honey. I wouldn't. Okay. Yes, i'm gon na make a mess, but it laughs as well. It feels amazing, let me go rinse, my hair and i'll come back and let you know what's going on so far all right and so we're back. I just rinsed out my hair. First of all, the thing i noticed is my scalp is exceptionally clean. Um i could feel tingles on my scalp and honey. I like this feel like a peppermint patty or whatever, so i did like that um, but my hair definitely feels clarified. It doesn't feel quite stripped, but it feels very, very clean so much so that i kind of don't want to do a second shampoo. I don't feel like it's necessary, but i i am for the sake of the video gon na. Do that honey. These girls, looking kind of good whatever look at that, okay, so anyway. Another thing i noticed so far in one shampoo, a little bit goes a long way because y'all saw i had excess bubbles and everything this will stretch for a while, so uh yeah. Let me go ahead: quick, i'm gon na try it again take a little bit do a little bit of a squeeze and work this up yeah, i barely did a squeeze and it is really spreading like really well like this thing we'll go for so, but i'm Gon na do a little bit more just to make sure the back gets some tlc. My scalp feels so weird. My scalp feels real good. My hair is a little bit dry. Ain'T gon na lie to you, but my scalp feels good. I'M gon na work that in a little more yes, honey, she gets all the points for whatever this tingling sensation is. I believe it's the peppermint oil, but i don't know okay, so i'm gon na work this in a little bit more off camera rinse it out, come back and give you my final thoughts. Look at the little baby hairs, they kind of adolescent. They look good. Don'T you see you see it, you see it you'll, see it and we're back. My hair has been rinsed, and here are my final thoughts for those who are interested in this shampoo number. One um love the ingredients very, very, very much so natural base. She doesn't put the things in there that a lot of people find to be controversial or they prefer not to have any hair. So we do give her points for the ingredients um the price to me. I feel like to some on the surface. It sounds expensive to say i spent 29 on a shampoo yeah. It does sound expensive, but keep in mind the quality of the ingredients. You kind of getting what you paid for. If you want those top-notch ingredients, you got to pay for it. It'S not a cheap thing, so to me, i feel like for this quality of ingredients and the fact that you don't need a lot like literally a couple drops will spread forward. I think that the price is fair um. As far as the actual scalp, my scalp feel amazing, like it feels extremely clarified. The essential oils and the ingredients in here makes it feel real, tingly and clean. I really love the way my scalp feels as far as the actual strands go. This shampoo performed exactly like. I thought it would because at the end of the day, like i said, black soap will clarify and detoxify, and so it did take out a lot of oils. That is that were in my hair, now keep in mind that i pre-pooed before i applied this and my hair still felt clarified. So i would say, if you ever consider purchasing this shampoo make sure your hair is not dry before you apply it, because whether it was this brand or any type of black soap period, i don't think black soap should go on dry hair because it's going to Just make it drier um, so i feel like it did clarify my hair. It definitely got my hair clean. I was actually able to stop at one shampoo. I only did two just to see what would happen, but really my scalp and my hair was clean with one shampoo and with me not having to use a lot. That'S a cool thing now, as far as my personal preference goes, although my hair does feel clean and i did not have a bad experience with this at all like be clear, it met my expectations. Although it met my expectations, i personally have sulfate free clarifying shampoos that get the job done well for me, so this wasn't necessary purchase for me, but do i regret purchasing it? No so with that being said, if you are interested in this shampoo - and you don't mind clarifying feelings in your hair, like you don't mind the way your hair feels after it is clarified, definitely check it out. Do i feel like this is a shampoo that you should gravitate to for every wash day, no, not necessarily because you don't need to be clarified and detoxify, especially if you use products that are silicone free and have more so clean ingredients. You don't need this for every wash day, but if you do come into a situation where you're experiencing an oily, scalp or oily hair - and you want to clarify but babe, this thing will get the job done. It'Ll get everything out you and your mama's hair, and i mean that thing so with that being said, because my hair is so clarified, it feels really soft. I will say that um, but because my hair is so clarified, i am going to go ahead and deep condition off camera and get my hair together. Um. I don't know what i'm going to use it honey. What is going on with my curls? They looking real good, i'm just so off-topic but anyway, overall i've had a pretty cool shampoo experience with this. I really don't have a lot of complaints at all. If you got the coin, you like the ingredient and you don't mind being clarified, go ahead and check it out. Angela Lee: I just used this shampoo, like I’m deep conditioning and typing at the same time. Faye you aren’t lying THIS IS A CLARIFYING SHAMPOO. PLEASE PRE-POO, which I didn’t do, or deep condition twice , like I’m going to do, one with steam/ heat. I also did a 2nd wash with a moisturizing shampoo. I will use it when I have a lot of build-up or itchy scalp when I need a detox. I love her conditioner and oil also so I won’t order just 1 product at a time. Shipping is free if you spend $45. The price of the individual products compared to the OZ you get and Great Ingredients you get is worth it.
Alicia Haywood: IMO, it is very comparative to other companies. Instead of eight ounces, she is selling a 16oz bottle of shampoo. I round the price to $20 in addition to $10 for S&H. Depending on th company I pay a little over $15 for a eight ounce bottle of shampoo! I never bought from Whitney yet, but if you buy more than one product you might be saving.

I truly wish more people understood how IMPOSSIBLE it is for women’s small independent businesses to compete w/ larger businesses, chain stores or Amazon. There is no cost of business larger businesses, chain stores or Amazon don’t CRUSH small biz. They can buy way more raw ingredients, at better prices. They pay less to store it, and they get special shipping discounts. They receive tax breaks that small businesses don’t get & pay no to low taxes. Yolee B: I got mine and love it! I clarify at least every 2 weeks, and this shampoo gets everything out with ONE shampoo. I then deep condition and then use the leave-in and oil. Love everything about that line.

Something Whitney does though when she's washing her hair is she applies conditioner to her hair and then applies shampoo on the conditioner and then conditions again after washing it off. Because I Said So: I'm embarrassed to say that I applied a clarifying shampoo to matted my hair and let me tell you my hair was so tangled. Mind you this is the first time getting to know my natural hair. I've had straightening chemicals in my hair since I was 11.

Tfran2917: Whitney has a video and infographics online on how to make her DIY shampoo and while it doesn’t contain as many beneficial ingredients as the one she’s selling, I started purchasing some of the items needed to make it...I hit that $29 mark wayy before I finished purchasing them all. I’ve also paid close to this price for 8 oz. bottles (curl mix, etc.). To me, this shampoo is worth the price, but again, I hate paying shipping fees, so I’ll likely restock some of my favs to hit the free shipping threshold. Thank you Ms. Faye. Okay so maybe this is misinformation but whenever I look for a DIY tumeric face mask to lighten dark spots on my face, the instructions say be careful not to get any on my eyebrows or hairline because it can also remove hair. Also i've seen several videos where people use tumeric powder as a buffer to help remove facial hair. So my question is, Is the tumeric in this shampoo refined enough to not take out the hair on my head because its in liquid form? I love Naptural85 and want to try this, but the tumeric ingredient concerns me.

Reservechic: Proper respect meds to be given towards the wig and nails! They both are straight fire! I was super excited about supporting Naptural85 when she mentioned about launching Melanin HairCare, so I have bought the twist cream, oil blend, and leave in. As, much as I have wanted this line to end up being the best for my hair, it just hadn’t been. So, even though I will always love and highly respect Naptural85 always, I don’t plan on buying anymore products from her line. Right now, the products that I have from her line are currently going unused. I have found products that work much better for my hair, than the Melanin HairCare ones that I have tried. Also, my hair and skin doesn’t care for Raw African Black Shampoo at all, so buying such from her would be a total waste of my money anyways. But, hey for those that do choose to continue to support Melanin HairCare with their coins, it is definitely all good with me. Which is why, I certainly thank you very much for sharing this video with us. You keep things straight and to the point which I totally love for sure. But as I said on tress video I’m excited to have a replacement for my black soap Shea moisture shampoo! After pay is my best friend.... the excitement to try next pay day is reallll.
