Hey welcome to my channel today you might notice my hair is super long and thick for me, and that is because I am wearing halo, hair extensions and, let me just say these might be the most comfortable form of extensions I have ever worn. So I've worn the bonded in extensions. I'Ve done clipping extensions in the past and both of those tend to kind of pull on the hair. The hair extensions that were bonded in I remember the first night they were so tight and I was in so much pain and I couldn't sleep well, I remember taking tylenol just so. My head would physically stop hurting on my scalp um and clipping extensions. Sometimes can pull on the hair, especially if you have a full set, and it ends up just feeling like a lot of clips on your scalp and it kind of hurts after a while, but the halo you can actually see in the light you can barely see Where that halo sits on top of my head - and it gives me this gorgeous like a voluminous big hair, the reason I got these extensions was because I lost a lot of hair after having my baby, and so I just felt really bald like I was literally Losing handfuls of hair every time that I would shower - and you know my hair is longer now and I feel like when it's a little thicker. It feels more glamorous and luxurious, and my hair was just really starting to feel kind of stringy and not how I wanted it to be so. I started looking into some different extension options and bonded extensions were out for me. I was like there's no way. I will ever do those again. They can be really expensive to go and get as well clip-ins. I'Ve had in the past, and while I liked them, I was like you know, I haven't tried a Hey though before and because I'm a new mom. I love the idea of being able to slip something on my head quickly, comb through to blend it all together and be done with it, and I have to say it has been my favorite form of extensions that I have ever purchased and I am so happy With how they look so I ordered from luxy hair - and this is a company I've never ordered from before. But I've been really really happy with my purchase. Their halos are a little bit over $ 200 and you definitely get what you pay for it's more than I've paid for my clippings in the past, but the quality of the hair is just so nice and soft when it dries. Naturally, it does have a little bit of a wave to it, but when you smooth it out, it really has a nice shine and it feels really luxurious and thick and heavy. I was surprised by how heavy the halo itself is are so many wefts of hair layered over each other on a lace panel. That then connects to a little thin kind of like a fishing wire type of like string. That goes across the top of your head, and then your hair falls over it and unless you're in the light like. So you really can't see that, like when you're looking at me in person, unless you are like staring down on the top of my head you're, not going to see that and so because of the halo. It takes the weight off of the hair. So you're not feeling like your scalp is being pulled on, so I've really really loved the halo. Initially, when I ordered it, I was still a redhead, and so I ordered one of the blonde halos because you can always die by most of time. You can die extensions, darker or change the tone of them, but you can't bleach them and make them lighter. So I opted for a blonde halo and I got like the beige blonde. It wasn't the lightest blonde. It was more of a beige blonde because I wanted to dye it red and it was honestly really really hard to color match and I'm a professional like I'm a licensed hairdresser, and I you know, I understand color theory and I knew that it would probably take At least two coats to get the red to cancel out the beige enos of the blonde. But oh my gosh, like the violet undertone of those extensions, was so strong and I just felt like I couldn't get them color, matched the way that I wanted. They don't have a red option or even a strawberry option, so trying to get them to match. With my really copper hair was a struggle and then I ended up dying, my hair darker, and so obviously they have darker options, which would I probably wouldn't have even had to have color matched one of those sets. But because my hair was now like these red extensions, I ended up having to make them darker and they are maybe just a tiny bit darker than my hair. Now but overall, like my hair, is long enough that it kind of blends in, and so I kept dimensional look when I am wearing these extensions. I'Ve been really really happy with how they blend with my hair, um, so yeah. So my hair is shorter than these extensions and you can see bits and pieces of my hair, one of the things that I will say as far as styling extensions I didn't cut these and so because they are slightly longer than my hair. The best way to blend them into the extensions is by wearing them, curly or wavy, because the ends of those hair are gon na blend in and be more textured than if you have straight hair. And then you were to have like a line of your hair and then the extensions if you do have hair, that is quite a bit shorter than extensions. I would recommend taking the pieces from the bottom that are going to fall out and be more obvious and visible braids. Those up put them on your scalp and bobby, pin them down. Underneath your extensions. That way, you don't have a shelf of hair. My hair is long enough, though, that honestly, it just looks like layers when I wear my hair, this way being kind of curly the luxy hair extensions, the halos, because they are so thick if you have to color match them. I would first of all, if you can, I would look into going to a professional hairdresser to color match them for you. If you do choose to color match your own halo at home. What I would recommend is going wept by weft in that lace and lifting up sections and coloring that way you can get all the way to the roots, pull it all the way through and drop another weft and do it that way, because if you don't you'll End up with splotches, underneath of the old color and so say the wind were to blow or something like that, and you might have like a polka dot of a different color underneath. So I would definitely take your time doing it. There are very thick extensions, they're, very heavy, and they are the nicest extensions that I have ever bought. They also come with two extra side panel webs, like I just have the halo in right now. If I really wanted to like, do it up and be extra glam, I could totally pop in even more extensions and it ends up being so much hair. It'S like almost a little too much, but if you're going for like super glam or you're, doing like an updo, highly recommend use those two extra panels pop them in on the sides. Something I like to do actually is take these two little side panels and say I don't want to wear my halo, but I still want a little bit of extra hair I'll just pop those in on the sides, because I think for a lot of women. This area tends to be a little bit thinner on most of us, and so I can get a really really nice a little bit more voluminous look without being like full-on glam like girl, it's a hair flip. Let me put my halo on so the luxy hair extensions. I'Ve had mine, for I don't know, probably a month now they hold on to styles, really really nice. So that way, you don't have to do too much to them so they're gon na last, her a long time. I don't know the exact lifespan of these yet because they are still relatively new to me, but given the quality of them, I think that they should last for a while also the halo bands they give you. I don't remember how many exactly it was. I think it was like six different sizes, so say you have a smaller head. You can put on a smaller band, say you have a bigger head. They have bigger bands to accommodate that as well and they start you off with a small. I think I moved mine up to a medium just because I liked it to sit a little bit lower in the back. I felt like it's more secure on my head to have a slightly larger band, there's also two clips on the back of the halo. So if you move your hair around you're, not gon na have the halo like sliding on your head, which is also really nice for that extra stability. So I'll show you now how this works, because I'm sure a lot of you are like how does that work? So I just unsnapped the very back where those clips are and then there's this little fishing wire type thing. Voila, look at my little baby hair, it's so fine! It'S actually not that bad, but I just started to feel really bald for me. So here's the halo this is it all curled up and styled, and you can see there's that little fishing wire band, your lace with all the wefts. You can kind of see from the side, there's a whole bunch of wefts here. So that's what I was saying. If your color matching separate all of those out - and that is it - and then you also have so in here, these little hooks they're almost like little like those adjustable bra, strap hooks, they're kind of like that and they fit on here. You slide them underneath this one piece, so they're not flopping around on there and overall this sounds like a teeny, tiny bit of stretch to it. So it's you know it's not rigid. It'S not gon na dig into your head. It'S actually quite comfortable. So, if you're putting a halo on this is how I have found the best way to kind of camouflage it into your hair and just so, it's really comfortable what I do kind of find a spot about an inch inch-and-a-half back from my hairline, and I draw A line down right next to the top of that occipital bone on the back of your head. You always have that little dip, so it's probably about an inch above where that little dip is on the back of my head and I take all this hair and I pull all that up and I make just kind of a loose little bun on the top Of my head, like so, and then what I also do make sure that these are snapped shut, because if they're open, they're gon na catch on your hair, when you're trying to drop this thing onto your head and that doesn't feel very good. So then I swing this around. You go in right where that little gap is - and I also recommend, put your fingers over those snaps in the back pop them, open pop them on to that hair. That is hanging down on the back of your head like so so now it's not going anywhere and you can see where that little wire is we're. Gon na address that now, so you take the rest of the hair. On top that you have clipped up and you drop that down like so and now you can see it's almost like a little headband here you you can see where that band is so. What I like to do is take the edge of a comb and almost go up underneath that band and pull all the air down and make sure all of that is down like so and then you can pull this hair down over the top of it. We'Re gon na do the other side to go almost up underneath it pull that down. You can see where it needs to come out from underneath where that band is hitting okay, and you can still kind of see where it is right. So the next thing that I do comb down over that band and you're gon na get a much better fit where that hair is and the band starts to disappear. So you're not going to have that separation in your hair. So we'll do the same thing over here like so, and because again the light is hitting it, so you can see it's kind of reflective where that little piece is so. The other thing I like to do - and this is also just really nice - to kind of balance out the weight from the top of your hair in the bottom, because you're gon na have a lot of really thick ends. And then the top of your hair might not look as thick. I like to tease a little bit through the crown, so you get more of a balance of the weight of your hair. So it's not just like super thick on the bottom and now what I do is I pick up the hair coming from either side of where that band, splits it and just kind of push you don't even have to do like a hardcore, tease just push it. A little bit same thing on this side, you can see where it splits through we're just gon na push that hair down towards the scalp a little bit. So you get that extra volume which helps to conceal where that band is falling. And then I like to take my hair, because my hair is kind of curled and waved, take sections of your hair and the halo and twist those together so that your hair is mingling in with those extensions. We'Ll do the same thing over here. Picking up sections of my hair and the halo twist, those together and you can finish with some hairspray - I already put some hairspray on my hair today, but that is it. It is so easy and so fast, compared to like trying to figure out where those clippings should fit on your head and trying to adjust the placement and that sort of thing um. I have been so so happy with these they're, just like they're so thick. So, even as they lose hair over time, they're still going to look really nice they're, not gon na start. Looking really bald and sparse. The way that some extensions do and also my car is a little bit layered through the front. So it just adds to this kind of layered appearance, and it blends really really nicely with my hair and that's why I haven't cut it or done anything to it, because I just feel like it looks. It looks good like I'm happy with this. So if you've been curious about halo, hair extensions, I hope that this kind of covers the basics of how they work, how to put them in for you and also, if you're, interested in luxy hair. I hope that this has also been helpful, and anyway I have loved getting to wear these, I'm so happy to share this video with you. I waited a little while because I really wanted to have some solid thoughts on halos in general, but also with Luxy and my experience using these. So I hope you enjoyed this. ElizaPuddingPops: Really fabulous tutorial! I’ve been scouring Youtube for Luxy vids and yours is by far one of the most helpful! I’m sold on the halo! Also, you have a great, relatable personality and I hope you go far on YouTube! P.S. You look stunning! <3

Caitlin: You’re so gorgeous! I just ordered my halo yesterday and this is probably the best review of it I’ve seen. Thanks!

3100Maple: Thanks for the wonderful tutorial! I’m trying to decide between the Luxy or Hidden Crown Halo. Have you had any experience with the Hidden Crown brand and which do you prefer if so? Thanks in advance for your help!

Maureen Welch: Loved this. I have a halo, but not from Luxy, and it has become straight and dry (feeling very "polyester" ) over time. Are Luxy's halos real human hair, and if not, do the stay soft and shiny?

Margherita Tartara: omg I'm now so unsure!! Do you feel like the 180grams are enough? I wanted to get the clip in set but now I don't know if the Halo style would be a better choice

Lori Brooks: Does the band become bothersome after a while? I have been looking at the Luxy website, and I didn't consider the halo version until I saw your video.

LillyLake: If the wire breaks or stretches to much just buy fishing wire to replace x

Molly Navarro: I love them! I’m currently looking for some hair extensions. Are they silky, smooth? I naturally have long thin hair and I wonder if it’ll blend with my hair. I wonder if I wear them straight if they’ll look fake on me? I want hair extensions for thickness/ volume alittle length would be fine. If it’s windy do they show the weft? Do they slide off ever? Are they comfortable? Can I tug them behind my ear and still look natural? I’m afraid of getting extensions and then they slide off or they look fake and don’t blend. I’m pretty chill, I like the soft beachy wave, tossed hair that looks like you messy yet cute you know. They seem pretty easy to use and quick which is the reason why I’m wanting to get them but they’re pricy so I just want to get as much feed back before I purchase a set of hair extensions of that makes sense. Can you do a updated review on them? ❤️

Kathy Koroschetz: How did your extensions hold up? Did you just buy the halo? Or did you buy the set of extensions. Did you get 20" thanks!!

Kate Shkvar: Does that wire hurt your head at all? It really looks painful, but everyone keeps saying it's not. My head is very sensitive, I would like to know before I purchase. Thanks!

Samantha Rae: Those extensions seems so easy I struggled with the clip ins.

thania gamboa: I buy this halo , love the color texture and everything but the wire hurts after some hours and my scalp already reacts to that. Any suggestions on that?

Cat Lady: hello you look so nice <3 which shade do you wear ?

Vanessa Hernandez: What color did you get?

Gigigigi: How many grams?

Fabel: Are these 16 or 20 “? Xx
