Hi everyone erin here from real wig fun thanks for joining me, so, as you can see, i have no hair on this. Is my bio hair for those of you that wonder why i wear wigs? This is why i wear wigs i have, although i do have hair - and you often see me wearing it tied up as you can see, it's incredibly fine and incredibly thin and therefore it's incredibly difficult to style. So today i wanted to show you a new topper for me, so the top we're going to look at today is from belletress and it is called lace, front, mono top wave in 18 inch and i have it in butter beer blonde. As always, i need to thank wigs by patties pearls for supplying this topper, so i could do a review for you today. So many of you know i don't wear toppers often when i do wear them. I love putting them in my hair for the purpose of doing a higher ponytail or a pretty bun. Those are the times where i choose to wear toppers or even when it's really hot out, particularly in the summer when i want to get the hair off of my neck. But i have recently shared with you a few other toppers from belletress and those were. I grabbed one of them to bring, and this was belletress's 18 inch so same length as the style we're looking at today. This is their 18 inch 100 hand tied. So there is no machine section within this topper. It is got the same, beautiful curl pattern as the style that we're looking at today, but the two differences between the handmade 18 inch topper versus the this one here, which is the lace front 18 inch topper. Is that number one? It does have some wefting sections within the within the cap. It has the same number of clips, which is four but as you'll see it has this lace front that the other topper did not. So what differs between these two is placement really, so a topper that has a lace front can be put on very similarly to a wig where you are putting the lace right at the hairline or where your hairline would be versus a non-lace front. Topper like this one, where you typically set it back about an inch from your hairline and you're, incorporating this front section with the hair of the topper. So for those of you that are new to the idea of potentially wigs and toppers, the key difference between a topper and a wig is that a topper you are at using it to add volume to hair that you already have so perhaps you're like me and Have incredibly thin hair like i do a topper could be used to add incremental volume versus a wig. You are tying up all of your hair and covering all of this hair um with a wig versus a topper you're, incorporating what you already have with the fiber of the topper okay. So this belletress lace, front mono top topper in 18. Inch is straight out of the box, okay, so it does come with that zigzag part. It'S very easy to break that, and all that means is envision. You parting your hair on your own head. That'S exactly what you're doing here! Okay, and as i mentioned, i have it in the color butter beer blonde. So, as you can see clearly my bio hair and the hair of butter, beer blonde is not an exact match, and certainly the hair on the topper is significantly longer than what i have on within my bio hair. Ideally, if you're getting a topper, you do want that topper to be in general, a close enough length. For me, this difference is too great. If i was to wear this topper on top of my head and wear it down, the the lengths would be too too different right between my own hair length and the length of the topper. But what i can do and what i've done often is utilize. This to create a really cute ponytail and a really cute bun. So when you're considering getting a topper, the placement of these clips is very important for you to consider. Okay and here's what i mean by that this topper is going to go on like this. So i'm not going to put it on not right now, so this topper is going to go here. So the clips are there's one here, there's one here and then there's two at the back. You want to make sure that wherever those clips are clipping into on your bio hair, that you have healthy enough strong enough hair to clip into to avoid damaging any fine or brittle hair. That'S one of the challenges that i'm finding with this particular topper with the placements of these clips. Some of my finest hair is right here in my temples, as you can see, i hardly have anything to grab onto and that's exactly where the clips are falling on me with this particular topper, so that would be very concerning. I would not wear this topper for that particular reason, but i am going to go ahead and put it on to show you how to how to do so. Okay, so remember we have a lace front, topper, that's different than if you have a topper. That does not have a lace front, so the first thing that i do is i'm opening those pressure sensitive clips, okay and then i'm just simply taking the topper and i'm lining up. I'M lining up the lace with my natural hairline and then i'm going to grab a hold of those two clips, i'm clipping in a little bit of hair and then pushing them. You may have heard that those clipping sounds i'm going to put my one hand on top of the topper and i'm going to locate the other clip, which might be a little bit tricky at first until you get used to it, i'm pulling it back just not Too much, but just to stretch it back and make sure that the cap or the the yeah the cap is sitting flat and then i'm going to do the same with the other side. Okay! So now i have this on my head. The one thing that i am finding with the lace front topper - and this is the first topper - that i've had that - has a lace front and i'm actually. I thought i would prefer a lace front topper, but i actually don't. I find that, and it could be because of the thinness of my bio hair, that i'm clipping into that. This is moving around too much on me and therefore it's becoming very obvious at this hairline. Do you see that it's too far back? It almost needs to be right there, but because my hair is so fine underneath um the the cap is, you know, kind of sliding around on me, but if you don't have that challenge, look at how beautiful this topper is. I would say that this topper is lower density for sure. So, if you're looking for a lot of density and i'll turn around so that you can see this now, i have all yes. All of the hair is right out at the front here. Okay, it looks beautiful like that right, but if you don't have any volume at the back, let me turn around so that you can see it's quite sparse right, but if you have more hair than i do bio hair than i do. I think that this is a really great option. I love the feel of the fibers, they feel amazing um and it's quite comfortable. I love the shade for sure, but i am finding that these clips are not holding on to my bio hair and i think that's because my bio hair is just so thin and fine, particularly in these two spots, where i'm adhering the top or two. I have to say i am really impressed with this lace front on this particular topper, like i said it's the first time that i've had a topper with a lace front, and i think the struggle for me with this particular piece is only because my thinning is So isolated to the two areas where these two front clips are, but if that isn't your challenge, i love this piece. I think the fibers feel great. The density feels great if you have a decent amount of hair that you're just looking to boost it um. I think that this would be a great fit for you. The construction of this base feels really good on my head. The lace is not scratchy so anyways. I hope that this has helped you, as you take a look at perhaps deciding whether wigs is the right solution for you or if toppers is a good solution. Anyways have a good day, stay well and stay safe, bye. Everybody

Gerri Ripka: This was so informative. Thank you for a great review. It’s really helpful

Cris: Totally random question, but I'm having a very hard time with telling hairdressers how to color my highlights to match shadded biscuit or this color. Do you bring your wigs/toppers to show the color you want? Do you know what product and level they use? I've brought in my wigs and still don't get it right but however you are doing your hair it matches just like I want! Thank you! ❤

Joan Orie Melvin: Could you use wig tape or IT Stays to secure the wig and keep it from moving?

Maria Guardiola: It looks beautiful on you. Thank you

Renee Meston: Hi, beautiful topper. All you have to do is put hairspray onto your real hair where the clips are going to be. Itll provide really good grip. Renee from Winchester, California

Loushel Troxell: Can you still place a lace front an inch back from your hairline like a regular topper? Thank you.

Lexsee C: So pretty. I have always wondered if a topper could somehow be attached to a wig grip ?? I have so little hair and thin and fragile....but it's so hot for a wig. I was thinking topper with ball cap. ? And put it in a pony tail somehow ...I know about halos but seems the hat would sit too flat on my head

Seascape185: You could glue it with it stays

LD: You’re beautiful
