Hey guys um kind of a different video today than i usually do. You guys are in my bathroom um. So there's been some questions about toppers and how you secure them. So i wanted to show you guys, as i'm putting my topper on how i secure it. Using the wig tape um, i will not be taking it off, because i need to wear my topper for the rest of the day, but i'm going to show you how i put it on. I have a full review on youtube about this topper. This is the top smart by jon renau 18 inches, but this is the inside of it. I took this clip out uh. I have hardly any hair up here, so it's really really not comfortable. So i took took that clip out. So there's nothing securing it. So, in order for this lace front to lay completely flat and be secure to my head, i have to use wig tape or wig glue. I personally like walker's blue wig tape. That'S what i use so before you get started. I go ahead and brush everything out on the topper and then i open up all of the clips so opening all five clips. Once the tape is on there. You don't want to be messing with the hair too much, because you don't want the hair to kind of get stuck in there. So open up your wig tape. It comes on a roll and you're just going to take off just enough that you need i'm just taking that much clip it from there. Let'S see if i can do this to where you can actually see it from there you're going to place it where you want it. I have a widow's peak. So i'm trying to get the tape to sit here in here and not on this hair, but if it does get on your hair a little bit, it's not that big of a deal you're going to use rubbing alcohol to remove it. It'S not going to damage your hair, so i really wouldn't worry about that. Much! Don'T just try to rip it off! This requires alcohol, uh, rubbing alcohol to remove so uh you're, just gon na place it i'm going to place it on either side. Sorry, it's kind of hard to do. This was showing someone else, so i'm going to place it on other side of my widow's peak and just really push it down firmly leave the blue on for now. If you don't have a widow's peak, you can just put one strip going all the way across. This is just how i do it because, again blessed with a little bit of v on my forehead, all right and then you're gon na do the same thing, but just on the other side be careful not to get any hair. Sorry be careful not to get any hair uh in there as well. So there's the tape on either side from there you're just going to peel off this blue backing. That'S all you're doing peel that off. If it starts to come up off the lace really push down hard and then you can get a hold of the backing. So you just peel it i'll show you guys what it looks like in just a second there you go so now, as you can see, there's clear tape on both sides, all right. Here'S where you have to become very careful! This tape is now exposed. You don't want to start getting the synthetic hair stuck in it. That'S gon na be a problem, so uh very carefully flip this around i'm gon na. Do this kind of fast again, i kind of hold on to the clips here with my thumbs and kind of spin it around i'm going to use my mirror for this and pull it just to the front. There see i'm covering up my widow's peak from here. I'M not messing with those clips, yet i'm pushing down on the tape tape is the most important part. I'Ve got my clips on either side in the right place and push it down once i've got that i hold it in place, get my bio hair out, and then i do my normal topper. So scoop press scoop and press and three four and one in the back five. Okay, now i can brush this is not going to be going anywhere. The tape has secured it entirely and there's the lace front. It'S secured. It'S not taped over here see how that lifts. It'S not secured over there, but that's not where you need it. You need it right, freaking here up front. So that's it! That'S how you secure a lace front topper that baby is not going to move. Watch like if you have this really secured down. You can move your whole forehead like use like wrinkle on wrinkle off on wrinkle up, not not going to move. So that's how i put my how i knock my glasses, sideways um. That'S how i get my topper to stay on. It'S fine! If you uh mess up, you have a very limited window to take it off and put it back on again, but just push really hard over time. It sticks harder, so um make sure you peel it up if you mess up, but that's it. I hope that helps put a comment below if you still need further help from that. If you need to know how to remove it, stay tuned i'll show you how to remove it tonight. When i take this booger off bye, hey guys, so i'm going to be removing my topper. I did another video earlier today to show everybody how to use wig tape and how to apply it to a lace front, specifically a topper, but it also works for wigs too. So i'm going to remove uh this one to show you guys how that works. So if you haven't seen the first video you need to know about, wig tape go check it out, but um so welcome to the other bathroom uh. What you're going to need in order to remove this are a couple different things, so you can either buy an expensive, adhesive, remover um and by expensive i mean, like seven, eight bucks. It'S got a little spray bottle and if you use that you're gon na spray it directly through the lace and it will let go um or you do the method i do and that's you need a q-tip and you need some rubbing alcohol, that's it. This is like 90 cents. These guys, i don't know a fraction of a penny a piece. So i like my cheaper method, but here's how i take it off so first thing i like to do because i'm getting further down on my q-tip, really can't reach that much anymore. I like to just pour a little bit of it in the cap. You don't need much um, so i'll get that ready, and the next thing i do is i brush my topper pretty good, just getting tangles out and then i'm going to start releasing the clips and i'm going to release the clips first before i un-glue it just To give myself a little wiggle room, so all the clips are undone and from there you're, just gon na soak the end of your q-tip in the alcohol and you're gon na get i'm gon na get really close. So you guys can see what i do. So i'm gon na go in on one side where it's already lifted and i'm gon na start rolling this across real slow. It'S got. Ta have just a second to kind of work on that adhesive, um and just start rolling to start spinning it on itself and see it's completely. Let go then i get a little bit more alcohol come to the other side and just slowly start moving it. Just i'm not actually moving it across, i'm just rolling it rolling it across and if you get any hair in there like i got a little bit of hair, don't worry! The adhesive uh will come off with alcohol. I'M not pulling my hair or hurting it in any way, so i did get a little bit of my own hair in there, so i'm just sticking it back in and just gently rubbing it to loosen it from the tape. That'S it that's everything! It'S that easy! Um, the tape will come off with the topper, so there's the tape so from here. I just go ahead and get my clips down because i don't want hair to get caught in there. Okay, then, i just use the same q-tip, so getting a little bit more of that alcohol and i just start running it across the end and get it to lift so just start, pushing it and getting it to lift a little bit and once you get it To lift you can just very gently, you can just pull it right off, it doesn't do any damage to the lace and i've done this for almost a year, and i didn't damage any lace doing this. The welded lace is actually quite strong. So just comes right off and there's a lace front, no damage whatsoever all right. So that's how i remove the walker's wig tape, i'm sure it would work with all kinds of solvent uh, wig tapes that use solvent to come off. So all right. I hope you guys enjoyed hope that was informative. I'M gon na try my best to upload my review of this topper tonight, um, so stay tuned, bye, guys

jaqueline marcondes de castro: Parabéns!! Ótima técnica Gostei muito do seu topper, qual marca é está lace front? Gostaria de pesquisar por ela. Obrigada

KA Pirk: Great instruction. Works for securing wigs too.

Lori: I thought I watched all your videos, but somehow I missed this one. I put the tape on my skin, then imbedded all the bio hair into the tape while attempting to put on my topper! LOL, but I'll never forget this tip now. Looks much easier than the process I went through. You really do think of everything!

ProudArmyMama Jones: Thank you for all you do to help us❤

Ann74 Alston: Oh okay, this is much better. I was putting it on my skin first and not on the wig. Thanks for sharing this it really helps me a lot. Thank you. And your wigs look so natural on you. You're Beautiful.

Clara: Soo helpful thank you

Annette Krueger: hi trista what do you do if you get it taped to your hair instead? I have receding areas on each temple, should I place the tape in that area on the topper? thanks

Mar Ianne ᜋᜇ̵̊ᜀᜈ᜔: Hi! How did you take off the tape you placed at the back of the topper? Did some hair come off while doing it?

Denise Huerta: Where do you get your toppers?

Julie Mann: Hi Trista--does the wig tape hold better than It Stays? I have an old topper with a small cap & thought I'd try this. I don't have enough hair to clip in the back clips. Thank you.

Jo_De: Looks great

Melanie Burns: Where do you buy the walker tape?

strictly beauty: Thank you this really helped xxxmaxine
