Youtube Welcome to my channel in today's video I wanted to share about how I add instant volume using open extensions when I want to wear my hair down. So my hair right now is not at its best, I'm kind of going through a hair journey of trying to nurture it using the right products to kind of sum it up. Every time I lighten my hair, that's when I see the most damage. So when my hair was short and really light, I didn't really take care of it. So now that it's growing out the ends didn't grow out, see there's a lot of hair right here. That is still short I'll talk about that in future videos. But today I wanted to focus on how I give my hair volume when I do want to wear it down, because my ends right now are super stringy. So I rarely rarely wear my hair down for this reason and a game changer for me has been clip-in extensions and I have a whole set right here from the brand Luxy. You can find some really great clip and extensions on Amazon and I particularly love the seamless, pu weft clip-in extensions. I talked about them a few times. I think in a few different videos on my channel. I have ones where I had like darker hair, but basically the instead of a classic weft. They have this pu seamless, weft right here, and I think this weft in particular is so great for fine, thin hair, because it is really really thin very flexible and it lays flat against the head - and I feel like it's a lot easier to conceal it's not As bumpy and it just works so great for all hair types, but especially fine, thin hair, I love using these when I want like a major hair transformation, but I don't use all of the pieces so I'll link this one that I got on Amazon down below. I think it was under a hundred dollars for the 16 inches and it's a perfect hair match. Again. They have so many different kinds on Amazon. You could just type in pu, clip-in extensions, and this set comes with a bunch of different clips. It comes with two one piece clips like so, which would be really great for adding volume to the sides. It comes with two two-piece Clips, as well as two three piece clips, one of which I cut to my hair length, which I'll be using in today's video and then last but not least, it comes with a one four piece clip. I personally love clip and extensions, because they're very, very temporary, these you just wear for let's say you want to wear them for an event. You want to wear them for a photo shoot a couple hours throughout the day. You can take them out scratch your head. Get a good scratch and scrub your head wash your hair, you don't wash your hair with them in you, don't sleep with them, they're, just very, very, very temporary and super easy to apply and wear, and I don't wear them every single day, probably once a week Or so whenever I want to wear my hair down mainly, but what I did is I took the three piece clip right here: I clipped it in and then kind of eyeballed it and cut it to my hair length and just this one piece right here makes A world of a difference, if you have like a really fine, thin hair, especially right now, my hair is kind of struggling. Like I said, I'm on a hair Journey, we are working on the hair, so this is just a great fix on days that I want to wear my hair down. Not have it look so thin and stringy and applying it is super easy. I like to go a little bit above the ears, just kind of make a bit of a u-shape all the way around, and then this hair you are going to pin up like so and then wherever the clips are going to be placed. That'S where you want to go in and kind of back comb a bit so that the clips are secure and they don't slide right out of your hair. You don't want to be too rough. Just very gently. Another option is that you can add on a volumizing powder. I have this one from boldify and it is really great for adding a ton of grit and hold especially to the roots. It'S a little bit goes a long way, as you guys will see right here. Can feel gunky so don't use too much like I said, a little bit goes a long way. We can just add a little bit in those areas and it will add a grit to your hair, making sure that the clips do not slide out so that you pop them open place them where you need them clip it in. You want to make sure that this piece right here is nice and flush, and it doesn't have any like gaps or anything like that and this one piece like I said it makes a world of a difference for me personally whenever I want to wear my hair Down my hair is not styled right now, so I'm going to go through and give it a little bit of a curl. I have this T3 interchangeable Barrel curler right here, the barrels pop out, then you can put in other Barrel sizes. This is the smallest one. I'M gon na go ahead and just give it a bit of a curl to help it all blend better and the nice thing with extensions. They hold curl so much better than my regular hair. But I curl away from the face and another thing. Another thing that I will say is clip extensions can usually be. A lot of people will complain that they're itchy, my sister, is one of those people. She doesn't like wearing clip-in extensions because they kind of make her scalp feel itchy. These, I would say, are much more comfortable than traditional clip-ins, so I do prefer these so much more than traditional clip-ins and the way that the weft is designed. It'S just so much easier to conceal in my opinion - and I don't wear this every day like I said I'll, probably do it like once a week on days that I actually want to wear my hair down or if you ever wanted to wear it for, like A wedding, a photo shoot or something, and you have fine thin hair like I do. The one weft makes a world of a difference and you're buying the full set. So you can still use the other clip-ins on days where you want it like a hair transformation. You wanted volume and length, or you can just go ahead and buy a shorter set like 14 inches, 12 inches and kind of blend those into your hair length. But I find that using one weft like so so much lighter on the hair. So much more comfortable and you kind of don't notice it and feel it as if I had like a whole head of clippings in so I just personally love doing this and I'm just gon na brush it out. Okay - and this is the end - result super easy super quick again. I just do this on days that I want to wear my hair down. Let me show you guys what it looks like from the back this one piece, especially the way that it's cut right now, the blunt ends. It just adds so much volume to my currently thin ends which we're working on, like I said, I'm going to go ahead and add a little bit more volumizing powder to the roots. Volumizing powder is great, like I said, for adding grit and not only that. It really helps the roots kind of keep their lift throughout the day. I also have their volumizing spray. I want to do like a full video review of Just boldify products, but I'll do that in the future. So today I just wanted to concentrate on these extensions here, since I've been using them so much lately and I had a few people ask um if I had any extensions in or anything which I do so I thought I would share about that. I mean I really love the results, and it just makes me feel more comfortable wearing my hair down on days that I want to do that. So I just thought I would share so I'll link these down below this set that I got for anybody interested as well as this product right here, which I think is really great volumizing powder. I hope you guys enjoyed. Thank you so much for watching, and I will see you guys in future videos.
