22" Bellami Silk Seam Extensions | Walnut Brown/Ash Blonde

Hey guys, it's aisling in today's video i'm going to be showing you my new extensions. I got from bellamy, so if you guys don't know since september, i've been getting sew in extensions. I love sewing extensions. They feel really nice on the head. They'Re, like the best method of extensions i've ever tried, because they're always in your hair, you don't have to worry about taking them out, sleeping in them. Trying to put them back in in the morning like it saves a lot of time just to have them sewn to your hair, but they are very expensive and i just can't afford it anymore, so i'm not doing sewing extensions anymore. I just wanted to give my hair a break. I'Ve been noticing, it's been getting, thinner and thinner and thinner, even though i haven't been like bleaching it or doing anything like crazy to it. It'S still continuing to break off and fall out from previous damage, and also my hair is just going through a phase where i'm losing a lot of hair, so i'm really trying to take good care of it. Obviously, i've been growing out my roots since august. I'Ve been, you know, trying to take better care of it. Use really good products and part of me taking good care of my hair is not getting stones anymore. I love them, but it's really expensive. The upkeep. You know you have to go in every couple months. Get them moved up, pay money again, you know, and i just want to give my hair a break. I don't want to have anything sewn to my hair. I just want to let it rest and just be natural and chill by itself. So i'm going to go back to wearing clip and extension, so i decided to get a new pair of clip in extensions because all of my other extensions i have are either dyed rainbow or they don't have the shadow root. So i wanted to get a pair from bellamy that had like a shadow root that would match my natural color and i have blonde ends. I found these extensions that have a root on them and it's called walnut brown and then the ends are ash blonde. So hopefully it matches my hair pretty good. The pictures of the extensions looked pretty close to what my natural hair color is, so i'm hoping that it's going to be a pretty good match today, i'm going to show them to you clip them in, and these are new extensions that i've never gotten from bellamy Before they're, like a new type, so let's go ahead and get the extensions and open them up. Okay, so here are the extensions now these i think we're like three to four hundred dollars, which is expensive for extensions. Don'T get me wrong, but these are 22 inches long, so the shorter, the hair, the less grams you get, the cheaper the hair is going to be. So if i got like 16 or 18 extensions, it's going to be less grams and it's going to be way cheaper than what these were. I just wanted a nice set of clip in extensions that i can wear when i'm feeling like sad about my hair, because my hair does make me sad, like lately. I'Ve been kind of down about my hair. I'Ve been kind of depressed about it, so um. I wanted something that would make me feel better without having the commitment of sew-ins just something i could pop in my hair, like i'm, going to a ballet with my husband coming up, and i would like to have like long thick, nice hair for the ballet or Certain things like that, i would just like to have the option to have long thick hair. I don't wear clippings very often like i said i just wear them for special events or when i'm filming i might clip them in. So when i bought my extensions. They were actually having a really good deal. Uh. You got a free, wrap ponytail with your order of extensions, so this ponytail was free, which is incredible because it's 160 grams and 20 inches and i got the color number 60.. So let's go ahead and open this first and kind of see what this is. I'M not sure if this is human, hair or not or if it's synthetic it would be nice if it was human hair, but i don't know for a free product, i'm not sure. If they would have made it human hair or not okay, this feels like synthetic. I can just tell by like the texture and like the the way it feels this is probably synthetic. So, okay, i've never had one of these before wow. I'M excited to try this. This is like really thick and heavy wow. It was free. I love free things. Okay, i have no idea how to use these at all like we're not going to be trying this today, because you don't know anything about it, but here's what the inside looks like and then it has this little piece right here and it's around velcro. My guess is you like put this around your ponytail, that you have with your natural hair and then you enclose it like this, and then you take this little piece. That'S left out and you just wrap this around the ponytail. I'M not sure i'll have to watch some videos on how to use this, but it was free and it's really cute and i think i'll probably use it okay. So here we have the bellamy: silk seam extensions again. I have never tried these before these are in the shade rooted walnut brown, slash ash blonde number, three slash number 60, and these are 240 grams and 22 inches. So here you can see they're 22 inches 240 grams and then it says the shade name on the bottom and obviously these are human hair. Most of the time when i get extensions, i always dye them rainbow, but these ones i'm keeping blonde. Because, honestly, most of the time i do have blonde hair, because my rainbow hair fades so fast and it fades right back to blonde. So when i have blonde hair, i don't have any extensions to match. Okay, so it comes like this. Here are the extensions and then up here there was just this tester piece. So when you get extensions, they have the tester piece, so you can hold it up to your hair and see if it's a good color match and if not, you can go ahead and return it. But once you open up the full pack of extensions, you can't return them anymore. So here is what the silk seam extensions look like. This is the difference in the ones i've gotten previously in this one. They don't have like the tide and wefts at the top. It'S like very seamless - and it just looks really nice and like it's going to lay super flat to the head so right off the bat. These do look a tiny bit darker than my natural hair, but clipped in. I think that they'll be fine. Let me just so there you can see the difference. My hair has a little bit more warmth to it and it's like a level lighter, so my hair's, just a tiny bit warmer and one level lighter. I feel like this color is exactly what my brother's hair color is, but clipped in, i think they'll match fine and the blonde is gon na match my hair perfectly. So it's a good color match for me. Let'S go ahead and open up all the extensions in the bottom. We have a little helper today wanting to hang out with me, so we have a little helper on my lap. So if you see a little fluffy tail, he needs his mama all right. Let'S go ahead and open all of these. These are super thick and super long and silky and very beautiful. Oh i'm so excited i've never had extensions that have had like a root like this before all right. So i just laid out the extension, so i could see what all comes with them. There are three different two clip wefts. There are two three clip wefts and then there are two four clip: wefts, let's go ahead and clip these in and i'll do it with you guys and show you um the process of me clipping in my extensions. So i just like to use a pointer holder, and i take my hair and i go ahead and section off starting at my ears and then i just clip all this hair out of the way and we're gon na go in with a four clip weft. These clips are so sturdy and i love how seamless the top of this is like it's gon na lay so flat to my head, so my natural hair color, underneath here, is darker than on top, so these will probably match perfectly so i'm just going in with The four clip weft and we're just gon na clip in now, if i was gon na wear these all day or wear them out, i would tease at my root area and then clip these in, but i'm only going to wear them for this video and then I'M going to take them out. You can also add some dry shampoo at the root after you tease to make them stick a little bit better, especially on like hair. That'S like mine, that's grown out. All this is so healthy and silky, so these will slide down. If you don't have some sort of texture, if i was blonde all over, my hair wouldn't be as soft, so they would grip a little bit better, but this virgin hair is slick. So when i wear these out, i will definitely tease at my roots, we're going to go ahead and move up. I'M just gon na go ahead and take right above that section right here. I don't know if i'll be able to use all of these either. This is a lot of hair, so i'm not sure if i'll be able to use all of this in my hair, we're just gon na go in with another four clip weft. I wasn't even going to make a video about these extensions, but i've never tried um. The new like, silk seam wefts also there was no videos on this color combination. I was trying to see what color i needed and i could not find like any videos showing this color combination, so i wanted to show it just in case. People were curious about what this looked like. It'S such a pretty brown shade and in my head, that's what my natural color looks like obviously my natural isn't that dark or that ashy. But in my head, that's what my hair looks like all right. We have the second weft in now we're gon na move on to our three clip wefts, because we just used the two four clip ones. So i just keep going up on my head a little bit at a time, and i am just straightening like the top part of these, so that way they blend into my hair a little bit better. I love this color combination. It'S so realistic, like this color and the color mill, it looks just like virgin hair growing out of someone's head. They did a really good job with melting the root into the ends. So i'm gon na add this three clip weft right here. In the back of my head now, i'm gon na go in with the two clip wefts. So here we have the two clip weft on the side and you can see it blends in pretty well with my natural color. Look, how pretty this hair is. Oh love! It i mean look at how good this matches my root, so here's the extension, here's my natural root like and like the grow out, it's pretty spot on, like these are grown out, maybe like an inch more than my hair. If even that, when i turn my head side to side, you can't really tell the difference between the two. I do still have a little bit of hair color left in my hair from when i used um sophie hannah hair color like underneath here and over here. I have some like purple tones, so hopefully this blends in pretty good. Now we have a two clip weft and we have a three clip left. So this is one of my favorite tricks to use when clipping in extensions, i like to save a three or four clip weft for the nape of your neck. So let me straighten this real, quick and then i'll show you how i clip this in most of the time when people have clip and extensions, i feel like the most obvious place where the disconnect is between your natural hair and the extensions is in the nape Of the neck, so, as you can see, i have this piece of hair right here. That'S sticking out! So what i like to do is save the three clip weft and then i go underneath my hair. I just flip all of this back. I use this weft and i just clip it at the base of my neck. So that way it's at the very bottom and none of my natural hair is going to peek out. Then i just split it: bring it around, bring all the hair around. So now you can see all of the hair underneath here is long and it's the extension. So now my hair isn't peeking through and like creating like a shelf. It just looks like it's all super long and pretty so let me brush this out. I do have one two clip weft left, but i don't think i'm gon na be using it today. So here is the two clip weft i have left. If you had a side part, i would use this two clip weft and clip it like right up here. Just to um create a little bit more fullness over here, but obviously i don't have a side part. I have a middle part. I actually think i might use this extension and create like a high ponytail. So here's what my hair looks like all straightened. You can see the extensions blend pretty well with my natural hair, like they're, pretty seamless, you really can't see the difference, especially because my hair is so thin right now they blend in really really well. My hair is just a tiny bit more ashy than the extensions. These have a little bit more of a buttery color to them. So i probably will tone the extensions using my shrine toners. I really liked those and they're just conditioner, so i don't want to damage the extensions and put color on them. So i'll probably just use the shrine toning drops, but i mean they blend pretty well without even toning them. These extensions are so long, obviously they're straight so they're going to be longer when they're straight, but they go all the way down to here, like literally here are my hips, and it goes like almost all the way down to my hips. I'M just really impressed with the color match, like it's so spot on to my hair right now. I think i did a good job, selecting the color. I am going to use this extension. Real quick and just put my hair like half up in a ponytail and use that extension to add to the ponytail and there we go. We have a half up ponytail and now you have some of those long pieces that are going down and if you curl this, it's going to blend even better. If you take your natural hair and you curl it in with the extensions, then you're just gon na have a couple like you know, curly pieces in your hair, i'm really happy! Now i have a pair of extensions. I can throw in whenever i'm feeling sad about my hair. Also, i can see what the future will be. If i continue on this healthy hair journey, this could be all mine one day, probably not because i'm impulsive but hey, i can hope i can have dreams. Baby bellamy also offers extension carrying cases which i highly recommend you get. I already have some extras, so basically it has like a hanger and a bag, so you clip all the extensions in the hanger so that way, they're hanging up like all day and you don't have to worry about them, tangling and then it comes with a protective. Like zip up case, so it makes it easy for traveling storage, they're gon na stay nice and like straight and not get tangled. Also, these extensions are going to last longer than sewn extensions, would because you're using sewn extensions every day, you're putting heat on them every day, you're dyeing them you're, washing them clip and extensions. I wear on occasion like maybe once a month, so these are going to last me. A lot longer than sewn extensions would and i can choose when i want to wear them and when i don't want to wear them. Sometimes i get really tired of having sewn extensions just because not being able to like run your fingers through your hair can like cause a little bit of anxiety for me. Sometimes so it's nice to just be able to choose like if i want to have long hair. If i don't want to have long hair like if i'm over the thickness and the weight of the length of my hair, i can just take it out.
