Hey guys in today's video I'm going to show you how I put in my hair extensions for Dutch pigtails and to start you're just going to have your hair in a middle part and take it all the way to the back. I don't really worry if the part is too straight and then you can use your fingers and make a half circle part above your ear and then I'm using a 6 inch clip and I'm just clipping the clips as close together as possible, and this will make Blooping but don't worry about the looping, because this will be covered up when we do the braid on top of it and then I'm putting a 4 inch clip right on top, then you can take your hair down and we're going to start the braid. So I start with three sections and I start to do a three strand braid just to get the braid going and then I start to incorporate the hair into the outside sections and you're going to be crossing the sections under for the Dutch braid. Unless you prefer. The look of a French braid, in which case you can take the sections over that middle strand, then you'll just continue to do that. The entire way down and you'll feel once you get to the extensions when you're incorporating them. The only thing you'll want to keep in mind is you want to make sure that you have extensions in all three of the strands, so you don't want to add too much in one and then not have enough to add in another, because then, when you're getting Down to the end, you'll run out of hair sooner so just be aware of that when you're incorporating the extensions into each section - and you can see as I'm doing this - that the braid goes right over where we Clips the extensions. And so, if you do your braid closer to your part or you do it higher than mine, then you would just want to place your extensions higher. So you want to place them wherever the braid is going to be going across your head, because, ideally the braid covers up the extensions and, if not, then in the end, I show you a couple tricks to hide it your extension, if they are showing, in the End but it's best just to cover them up the first time around and then, when you're all done, incorporating here, you're just going to do a three strand, braid, all the way down to the ends or wherever you want to stop and then you'll want to make Sure that no extensions are showing in back and then I like to go through and pull it apart, a little bit just to make it look extra thick and then you are going to go through and do the exact same thing on the other side. Okay. So if you're, all done in your extension is showing you have a few options, and the first thing I'll usually do is I'll, take the end and unclip it and then I'll try to just shove it in the braid and then clip it back, and that will Usually help a little bit and then, if it's still showing at this point, you can take your braid and pull it apart and usually the braid pulled apart will cover whatever is still showing and then, if it is still showing, you can always hold these pieces down. Pull these sections down also make sure you check in a mirror to see if it's showing, because sometimes when you're feeling with your fingers, it feels like it's showing and then, when you look in a mirror, it's actually not. So that's a little trick for hiding your extensions
