Hey you guys and welcome, and welcome back to my channel, i am teach marie so today i am going to be showing you guys how i installed these kinky straight tape ends from amazon, yeah girl from amazon into my hair. I do have them in right now. So if you guys are interested in seeing how i installed these tape ins from beginning to end and my review on these type ins, then make sure you keep watching i've gone ahead and i blown dry and flat ironed. My hair, i only did one pass when i flat ironed it, because i have to flat iron it again when i put these tape ins in so these tape ins were sent to me by miss fan, hair and they are on amazon. I will leave a link down below in the description box. As always - and this is the kinky curly texture - they sent me a one pack of 18 inch and then another pack of 16 inch. The texture looks a lot like how my hair looks if i um like after i wash it, and i kind of like if i kind of like stretch my hair out with the brush and like like, put it in braids or something i did dye these black. As well because i dyed my hair last night, um yeah, i'm gon na go ahead and start sectioning, my hair off and i'm gon na start in the back. So let's go ahead and get started all right guys so right now what i'm doing is just sectioning off the back of my hair, and i want to make sure that you can't see the silver part of my comb through the part that i sectioned off, because If you can, then more than likely you'll be able to see the tape in. So if i pull my hair up in a ponytail up in a bun with this amount of hair um, that's enough to cover it. So i'm just going to go ahead and section this little part off, really quick. I am going to go ahead and grab a piece of tape, and this is how it comes. That'S the other side, all right, so i'm going to start right here in the center. I'M going to go ahead and peel my white piece off to expose the sticky part of my tape, and i am going to place the tape so that it is not too close to my scalp. This is very tricky. You place it like right there and i just lightly placed it. I did not press it in and now i'm going to lift my tape up and now i'm going to go in with my comb and just grab whatever hair is not sticking to my tape. Now. Take another tape in and before i squeeze it together all the way i'm just going to lift it up, make sure nothing's pulling. It feels pretty comfortable all right. So now i'm going to go ahead and just squeeze it together with my fingers. Okay, you guys so real quick. I want to show you guys, the back of it, because i've been able to install like half of my head so like from here down. So this is how hopefully y'all can see this, but this is how it's looking um. I didn't stack them directly on top of each other, i kind of like staggered them kind of like a brick method. So here's how that looks, and then there's still some hair there before there's a tape in under it and it's kind of off to the side. So you see how they're not like directly on top of each other and that's just kind of how i did mine and when i tell y'all trying to install these in the back of my head is so difficult, like, oh my god. So now i'm going to try to do like the sides and the front, and hopefully that will be easier. So i'm feeling like i don't really need any more in the back, but i don't know we'll see once i like straighten them all out. So i'm just going to start over here on the side and i'm going to re-part my hair, because i kind of lost the part that i have before alright. So i've seen people say that when installing these like in the front that you should do diagonal back parting, because when you go to like put it in a ponytail, you won't have to, i don't know it's just easier and they'll lay flatter i'm gon na. Take my tape in and i'm going to just lay it right here and you see i'm not putting it too close to my scalp and i'm just like softly laying it until i know that it's in the right position and then i'm going to press the middle Of it in and now i'm going to lift it up and y'all can see the hair that stuck to it is kind of like sticking up. So i'm just going to grab that hair so that it's out of the way, the hair. That is not sticking to the tape in and take my comb and just pull it down and out of the way. So now i've got my little sandwich and i'm going to lift it up down, make sure it's not uncomfortable that feels really comfy right there. So i'm going to take my flat iron, it's not one, but i'm just using it to kind of smash them together and that's that okay. So i feel like that's good and i'm going to go ahead and part again, all right y'all. So for the front of my hair, i actually want to just use the 16 inch to kind of give me like a layered look. I already parted another part here, but before i tape this in, if i do want to put my hair up in a ponytail that is going to lay how i want it to lay now, i'm going to take it not too close to my scalp. I think that's a good spot right there and i'm just going to kind of press it down in the middle and then i'm going to lift it up, remove all that hair out of the way that i don't want. One there grab another piece: i'm gon na line it up. I think that's pretty good all right, so i still want to make sure that i can put my hair up in a top ponytail. If i want to so yeah, it lays pretty flat, and you can't see them all right y'all. So i think i have as many tapes and as i'm going to install, i feel like this is enough. It'S very thick and i'm gon na show you the back. Um, hopefully you can see all of it. I know it's not. Even there are probably some gaps in between and i feel like. I definitely need to trim. Maybe i'll need to do some trimming, i'm gon na flat iron it i can like put it up in a ponytail if i want to, and it appears to lay pretty flat - and you can't see my tapes. I can also do a side part if i want to not too deep of a part, because i do have some tapes on the side. So you see, i can still do a side part. Also you guys, i did not use all of the tape ends. I don't even think i used half of the tape ends because i still have quite a bit left like this is these are all of the tape ends that i have left, but yeah, i'm gon na go ahead and flat iron, these to see how they look. All right, you guys, so this is the final result. So, as you can see, i have everything, nice and straightened and styled, and it's actually been a couple of days later, since i have installed these tape ins i feel like. I have some thoughts to give you guys on these tape ins. So again, the tape ins that i got are the kinky straight. I actually got these from amazon. I will definitely have the link down below in the description box. If you guys are interested in purchasing these, but i got two packs of them, and this is what i'm left with like. I'M honestly shocked that i have this much hair left. I actually ordered two packs. One pack comes with 40 tape. I still have a whole pack left um, but what i did do is i installed 18 inch in the back and then i installed some 16 inch on the top. First of all, i do want to say that i love love, love. My final result, it literally looks so freaking natural. You can't tell me this is not my hair, like it's crazy, how good it looks how good it blends like. I i can't even tell where my hair is and where the tape and hair is outside, of knowing where i put the tapes it feels so lightweight is not uncomfortable at all. I feel like for my first time installing these literally not knowing what i was doing. I did a pretty good job like i don't have any hair, that's pulling. Nothing is uncomfortable like, even when i put it all up, which i'm not gon na do, because it is quite a bit of hair, so i would need to like brush it and everything up into a ponytail. But if i wanted to put it up, it's not uncomfortable at all i'll go ahead and show you guys the back now. What i did have to do is cut some just a tiny little bit of the bottom, but not too much. I would say at the most i cut like an inch here and there only because it was looking a little bit choppy with my hair and then like the 18 inch and then a 16 inch, and once i did that and curled the ends, it literally blends. So well, you literally cannot really tell the difference it just blends in so so good. So what i am doing to maintain my hair at night is, i am taking like these wig clips and i am just pinning my hair up in like really big sections. So i'll take like literally a section this big and i will just like curl it around and a really big pin curl and then i will take my clip sorry. My phone is going crazy right now. I have a target order on the way but yeah. I would just clip it up just like this and i'll do that all around and i'll have like six different, big pink curls in my hair. Just all with these big clips and then i'll put my scarf around it i'll put my bonnet on if necessary, and then i'll just go to sleep and it's very comfortable. These tape ins are supposed to last between six and eight weeks. That'S a long time. I don't even usually go that long without washing my hair, i usually wash my hair every two weeks. Three weeks max, i have gone four weeks, but by then my hair, just like super duper oily. It feels nasty, it's itchy and yeah. I just can't deal so. I don't know like when it's time to wash my hair, i don't know if i'm going to wash it and keep the tape ends in and all of that, but i don't know i guess when the time comes i'll just have to see you can wash your Hair with them, and you can blow dry it, you could flat iron it far as installing these. I will say that i expected it to be like kind of tedious to install them, just based on the videos that i had watched of people installing them on themselves. Would i recommend installing these on yourself? If you don't have experience installing these, i would say no, but at the same time, if you're, a person that is used to doing your own hair is not going to be easy, don't expect it to be easy. It'S definitely a learning curve, especially in the back of your head, like you cannot see, what's going on back there, you definitely need multiple mirrors at least two mirrors, so that you can see the back of your head and see like where you're putting the tapes. My biggest thing was parting: oh my god. I had the hardest time trying to get my part straight, get my parts clean now, if you're a person that doesn't have any issues parting, your own hair, especially in the back and making sure it's straight neat and clean, then that won't be a problem for you. But for me it was girl that was a whole task and then like putting the first tape on. Wasn'T that big of an issue. For me, it was trying to match the tapes up so that they were stacked directly on top of each other, so that it would create, like the perfect little seamless sandwich that was kind of difficult for me in the back, where i couldn't really see too much. I just had to kind of like use my fingers and just like feel where the tape where the tape begins and end just to match, make sure that they are matched up perfectly. Another thing you want to be sure of is that you don't have like any oils in your hair, make sure that you're starting out on clean freshly washed hair. It'S fine if you want to like blow dry and flatter on your hair. The only thing that i did put in my hair before installing these tape ins was a heat protectant and it was just like a spray heat protectant, and i made sure that i just focused on like the ends of my hair, and i still doing that. I didn't spray too much but yeah like as far as oils or just anything else like even like leave-in conditioners. You don't want to put that in your hair and if you feel like you absolutely have to, then i would say just like focus it on like here down. Don'T put it anywhere, don't put any oils, oh my god, don't put any oils or anything in the roots of your hair, because that's going to cause the tape to not adhere to your hair properly. I don't really have any cons for this hair um. At the same time, it's only been like three days since i've been wearing these i mean, if anything should change. I guess i'll do an update, video or you guys can just like ask me questions in the comments again, if there's anything that i did not address or if there's anything that you guys want to know about, these type-ins feel free to ask me questions in the Comments, i'd be more than happy to answer for you guys i'd be happy to help in any way that i can so yeah. That'S pretty much it. So! Thank you guys so much for watching and if you like, this type of content, make sure you give this video a thumbs up.
